tv channel for msnbc is seldom working
For a number of months, the LA Fitness gym at 1801 NE 123rd St. #200, [protected], is unable to provide the news channel for MSNBC/DirectTV to its members. I am specifically referring to the TV monitors on the cardio machines. All of the channels work fine with one exception, the News channel from MSNBC. Currently, you can only get sound, but no picture - so one can only listen to the news channel MSNBC but not see it. I have mentioned it to the gym's management a number of times with no resolution. I am consistently being told that the channel's picture comes and goes with no explanation as to why. However, I noticed for several months, that only sound is provided - no picture! I visit the facility several times in the week and I have yet to see the MSNBC channel work properly. Please look into this and resolve this service that I value when visiting your facilities - Thank you.

My name is jainu.I was accidentally joined my personal training session last month. When I joined I was told to my trainer that I only need it for 2 months but, he didn't tell me it was 1 year contract. He really tricked me . I am an international student and now I am not able to come for training during my studies as well as my work . And I didn't have enough money to raise for the personal training. Everything was told to my trainer before joining the personal training and I accidentally signed the contract. I asked him to explain everything but he never told me about 1 year contract. Still my money is going from my account

membership cancellation / transition service
I am a member to the local LA fitness center at Gaithersburg, MD, and I want to submit a complaint to the operation manager - Eric and his staff. I moved to Plainsboro NJ in the mid of Oct due to job change. I went to LA fitness center in person in early Oct to query membership cancellation / transition, and one of the staff told me that I should talk to LA fitness in NJ before making any decision, and I could always cancel or transfer over the phone. So I moved to NJ and found that the closest LA fitness is 30 mins away! I called and asked for membership cancellation at the end of Oct. And they told me only operation manager could do that. So I paid for the Nov membership without consuming!
During the month of Nov I called 3 times. Finally, on Nov 30th, the Operation Manager - Eric answered the phone. He was pushing responsibilities to me instead of solving problems. He also made me to pay the membership for the month of Dec and he alleged that it is the corporate policy. I am very upset. The entire process just sounds like a fraud to me!

Today, November 27, 2017, I was discriminated by the operation manager from LA Fitness, address: 6400 Irvine Blvd, Irvine, CA, I used a profanity inside of the gym, and the gym operational manager named Nathan told me that it is prohibited to use any profanity? because today, I cursed, then I got kicked out from the gym, and the operational manager named Nathan told me I am banned from going to LA Fitness any longer, because any individual who is the member is prohibited from using profanity and will get kicked out. If this is not true, then I am taking it to the court man and sue LA Fitness. I have reviewed your the terms and use policy, and it did not make any implication of any members using profanity then resulting in being banned from all clubs of LA Fitness.
Since LA Fitness is a private company, they can deny service to anyone for almost any reason. While I think a permanent ban is an overreaction, they do have the right to do so.

Hi, my name is Jason Corda. I am not angry or dissatisfied with the experience I had with La Fitness gym or Personal Training.
Only thing I don't accept their system. Means that I need a girlfriend to make the body. Or if I make the body I should run after girls.
I am not immature. I do recognize the importance of Testosterone and proper supplementation to acquire the physical appearance.
However, My community is the minority in Canada and in our country India also we don't have girls or should I say females. And the very few we have is low caste.
So I want a body. However, I am not sacrificing my sister or my future daughters in this bargain which is completely satanic.
I am currently in India for Treatment. I am not able to access LA Fitness website. But all I want to do is make Peace.

LA Fitness has deleted my profile from their Computer System. Also, we do not want to use the gym because I am on Medication for my Mental Health. So anyways I cannot make the body. However, I will have to wait for the right time in the future to make that Body Builder Body. Thanks. JC.

Hello, I joined the LA fitness three months ago and the manager ( TEM ) forced me to sign up for the personal training class and he didn't provide me the correct and right information he forced to sign up and unfortunately I signed and made me dupe. First, he provided me false and wrong information and said to me I can cancel it anytime but now I'm not able to cancel till I have to pay the 50% remaining balance. but why?

I was not intending to get a personal trainer but was most impressed with the person who showed such compassion to want to work with me as his only client, unawares that he was a district vice-president(J.C.). He impressed me with such skills that helped me began to improve from pains in the back and trouble walking. After two sessions he began to introduce me to new people to work with me but stating all along he would be the real one working with me. He later incouraged me to double my sessions a week. Shortly afterwards he would be working on the computer while having me work with someone who was complaining about their job. Gradually I saw less of him and could not get him to answer the phone. When I did see him he state such wonderful ideas for me upon losing the weight and that we were still a team yet I was working with someone else who was complaining and using the same routine of workout. I was getting very upset but tried to bare skin with the situation. Several times the vice-president would mention he wanted to make it all up to me and workout with me personally off time. But it never happened. Then I was transferred to another trainer when mine quit. The new trainer was good but 4th he schedule times did not workout. After sometime I was told by the manager(G.) that he would workout with me personally. The first scheduled session he was late and someone had to call him. He told me he was transferring me to yet another trainer again. But that day he personally worked me so hard after coming back to work late, and told me who would be working with me. I had problems functioning at work for a few days. I desire to cancel my membership with LA Fitness and my training contract. I do not desire to make any further contacts with Winchester Ave. location in Memphis, Tenn.

You will want to contact LA Fitness directly to cancel your membership. They may charge you a cancellation fee, although I am not positive.
dangerous slick masonry tile walkways around swimming pool at lafittnes
To whom It may concern,
I use the swimming pool facility at LA Fittness facility at the Renton Landing area at 715 North Landing Way, Renton, WA [protected].
I swim there almost every weekend morning.
The pool, hot tub, dressing room bathroom and shower areas have very slick ceramic tile floors. The floors are almost always wet from pool, hot tub and shower water.
The floors are mostly bare with occasional rubber mats. The mats are not continuous they are located just here and there.
Sometime the mats are removed completely for cleaning with no mats at all covering the slick tile.
The mats should be continues in the dressing rooms, in the walkways, in the shower rooms, and on all areas around the pool and hot tub where people walk.
I have slipped several time on the we tile and I have seen others fall and experience bruised legs and arms. I have witnessed several falls by other people where they sprained wrists, hands, legs feet, etc.
I feel this very hazardest condition could be corrected by providing continues walking mats from the dressing room to the pool, hot tub and shower areas. There really should not be any wet tile areas where one cannot walk on a mat.
I also feel that the mats should never be removed for cleaning during the day when the facility is being used. They should be removed for cleaning only in the hours when the facility is not open to the public.
Your attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Ive been a la fitness member for years today 10/24/2017 at 130pm I went on the stair master and there was no sign saying it was broken as soon as I step on, the stairs lost grip and the stairs started spinning out of control it bruised my leg pretty bad I have pictures and my shoulder is in pain from holdind and hanging on so I wouldnt fall when I told the receptionist she said sorry and that was it and that they had no manager on site! I feel like they didnt even care I was injured and did nothing to make me feel better or to find out why that machine had no warnings of it being down! Is this how you treat member who have been injured due to neglegance on your part? misrepresentation of fee
I have registered for 6 months LA fitness personal training. The trainers are really poor, session will go upto 30 mins and have to pay 60 for those 30 mins and they will just chat with us in that time not real training and I moved to Richmond later on and asked them if they can cancel the membership. She is so rude that she didnt even bothered about what i am saying. These guys dont even have a LA fitness in Richmond which is their mistake and charged me 50% of the payment fee for noting. Please I personally request you guys dont opt a personal trainer in LA Fitness it is way more expensive and so training better to opt for Crossfit. Very cheaper when compared and trainer will be very good.

I was previously a member of LA Fitness in Scarborough, Canada. I also had the PT sessions. In March/april I cancelled BOTH my PT and membership. Cancelling the PT membership was both time and hassle and another payment was taken in error. I was also given the wrong information from the club itself. This issue was resolved over phone calls.
Regarding my membership I had to sent a cancellation form to the address in California. I was told once received all payments would stop.
As off today I have been charged by my bank and upon further inspection I can see a payment of $50 was taken from my account and has been taken every month. I was under the impression these payments have stopped months ago. I have just check and payment have been taken for May - Oct that's 5 months payments I did not expect to be taken.
Please help as mentioned I was under the impression everything was cancelled. Unfortunately I have changed email addresses in that time and cannot forward the emails I received from LA Fitness.
I have instructed my bank not to let any further payments go through but that is 5 months of payments you have taken when I didn't even know I was a member.

I’ve experienced numerous issues with this LA Fitness Facility in Diamond Bar. All problems have aquated to stem from an operations manager who goes by the name of Kevin. He is unprofessional, rude, and a liar. He lied to me about my options just so that I would have to cancel my service and resign with sales department. He was extremely rude in doing so, didn’t want to give me his info because when I asked it because I wanted to speak to higher management. On several occasions I’ve seen him be very rude to other Members of the location.
I’m only writing this because as a director of Sales and Marketing, I think it’s important that management know of his unprofessionalism and reputation he is giving this gym.

My name is Laura Rosa, I have been a loyal customer since before 2008 and I have never had a complaint until now. I decided to start your personal training service and everything was going well. I was impressed with my trainer Ronnie who was let go on Monday 10/2. I received a text message from my former trainer letting me know about the news and I never received a call from la fitness regarding the news. I had to scramble and figure out my next move in finding a new trainer with the time slots I had reserved with Ronnie, which was very inconvenient. I found the companies lack of notice very unprofessional and when I went to approach the manager about the issue his response was even more discouraging. I went over the issue with him and he was not remorseful or gave any interest in the matter. The manager only gave me excuses that the bird road club was large and that he was new at his position. Again I found the lack of communication and accommodation from La Fitness disappointing after all the years of loyalty to the company.
I am complaining about the service from torrance location
As we arrived from the location, front desk lady help me checked in, and as my guest who is visiting the country Showed his guest pass, she simply called in the person who does the activation for guest passes. Unfortunately, the person stated you can only use one guest pass every 6 months, regardless wether you are a VIP member etc and there is nothing else he can do to help but besides to either get a membership or pay $15 for a one time pass. I found this very poor customer service . Where as, he didn't even bother to go for an extra mile to help out for as I picked up my guest all the way from riverside which is 1hr 30 minute drive . I just can't believe for the first time experienced this situation. Please train your staff to be welcoming when customers walks in to you facility. SMILE and have energy.

I was a member at the New Lenox branch of LA Fitness from June 2017 to August 2017. On 08/16/2017 I went to the previously mentioned branch and asked the desk manager to have my membership cancelled. I was assured that my membership was successfully cancelled.
On 08/17/2017 I was charged $29.99. Initially I thought this was a "cancellation charge" or a similar fee so I ignored it. Recently, on 09/28/2017, I was charged another $29.99.
I understand if the first of the two questionable charges, the charge on 08/17/2017, is actually a charge that is valid under company policy. However, after the second charge came to my attention, I hope you may understand my suspicion.
My desired resolution would be a full refund on the applicable charge(s).

training cancellation scam
I recently just ended my year long training membership with LA fitness in Fort lauderdale FL. I was so happy to finish my membership since it was pretty expensive and not worth my time or money but was difficult to get out of the contract. After my last session i told my trainer that i was moving and unable to come to the location any longer. He knew i was done yet never told me i had to do anything to officially cancel my training membership. A month later i got billed $135 that was taken out of my credit card account! Currently attempting to get a full refund for the last month but no luck so far.
facility safety
The facility located in 163rd and 88th Ave. Miami, FL current condition is inadequate for the spinning classes. The A/C is broken and classes are still being held under really dangerous conditions inside that small room with approximately 30 students. Yesterday, I had to stop 4 times to cool down and get cold water. I already complained and it doesn't seem like anything is being done anytime soon. Liability people! Looks like you're waiting for someone to hit the ground from heat exhaustion! Multiple clients have come forward and reported the issue, but it's all going to deaf ears. Members deserve a safe space to workout. If we wanted to workout under extreme temperatures, then we would choose to run outside.
a club member affects others
In today's 10am. I was using the equipment shown on picture1. At the aame time a lady was doing squat infront of me. When I finish my first set of sitting chest press. She shouted at me that stop looking at her. First, I did not even notice her. Second, you have to look forward during using that equipment. Third, if I really look at somebody I should watch them during my rest time, not during exercise time. You can see on the left side of picture 2. The position between squat frame and chest press equipment. When I tried to say no and shake my head. She was verbally abusive, asked me in a loud voice 'Do you want me to cut your head off?!' Staff heard this and did nothing. I was not calling the police because I have a class afternoon. This really hurt a long time membership's heart.
pool temperature too cold
Our family has belonged to this LAFitness since 1/2009. For the past several weeks the pool has been chronically cold making our 4 Aquafit sessions per week not only miserable but aggravating our joints significantly. We end up chilled all day and in pain. The manager got a new heater installed but temp stays too low. Several of us tell him every Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat. He always says someone is coming to fix it - someone never does - PLEASE please please get this fixed or a great number of us will have to move to another gym and we do not want to. We just want this new manager to take care of business. The temp has been perfect for over eight years! This is ridiculous. THANK YOU!

Totally agree. That also happens at LA Fitness in Vancouver, WA with the cardio TVs. Furthermore, the LA Fitness in South Tucson no longer has MSNBC as an option. They do not have individual TVs on the cardio machines, just 8 TVs in cardio area. They have 3 sports channels, Bravo, Disney (?), CNN - and of course Fox. This gym used to have MSNBC as an option. I visit both gyms at different times of year. Management acts like they do not understand what happened but that just means they don't care.
