LA Fitness International Training Services

At the Hyde Park - Chicago location, I signed up for a trainer as working out on my own wasn't having the desired effect. In the course of the year, I've had 10 different trainers - either they didn't sign up, weren't really interested in training anyone, didn't show up for the appointments or just left in the middle of them, quit or were fired. All the trainers quit at the same time recently because of the low pay.

I spoke with the training manager by phone and he told me that my contract ends in September and that would be the last payment from my acct. This morning I got a low balance notice from my acct due to their taking out a payment for the month of October. The manager told me that now they show my contract ends in November. Regardless, I have to come in and cancel the training sessions in person because if I don't they will just continue to bill me whether I want them to or not. They likely want me to come in to cancel in person so they can try and get me to sign up again.

The manager refused to work on this and I was told that I will not raise my voice to her - I wasn't shouting - and gave me the corporate number. She said that it ended in November and I had to go in and beg them in person to cancel my contract.

Desired outcome: The return of the latest $200 monthly payment and a partial refund of other monthly payments due to their lack of staff and lack of interest in providing the training I signed up for.

I got charged even when the trainer failed to show up. NO ONE HAS RESPONDED TO THE many, many emails, calls and texts i have sent about the harassment, fraudulent charges and failure to perform the promised service. The Wiz Kid salesman who posed as the example trainer has disappeared. He says he's no longer their manager, they say he is. I was promised in writer the contract 5 times, they are just messing with me-- broken promises as I now expect from LA Fitness. When I canceled my credit card i've had since 1995 at incredible hardship to me and my legitimate creditors on the advice of two lawyers, I immediately got dozens of harassing texts, calls, emails as well as offers to "help" resolve my billing issues.

Last year, they claimed they were changing their name to "esporta" fitness, likely due to their poor reputation. I got charged an additional entry fee. they never changed the name. there were no refunds

This business is horrific, their business practices a breach of good faith. I am pursuing every course of action i can find. It turns out, by the way, that the physical pains i have been experiencing may be related to cancer. I confirm the tentative dx this week. I have spent some of my last time on the planet being harassed and ripped off by a "health" club.

Yes, stay away from these people. they only want your money any way they can get it

LA Fitness International Cleanliness and sanitation

The LA fitness located at Harbor Shoppes on Cordova Rd/17st Street Fort Lauderdale is filthy. Waste material always backed up, trash cans never emptied in timely fashion, bathrooms, floors and showers dirty. Currently 10-2-22 there are no paper towels in facility, even in bathrooms. Disgusting. I have been a loyal member for many years. I and my wife likely won’t renew in December. You guys can do better.

LA Fitness International Lack of maintenance/upkeep on equipment

My primary club is the Allentown, PA club. The equipment is the club is at least 10 years old, many of it is much older (dating back to when the club opened 20 years ago). It has gotten to the point where the equipment is constantly breaking, getting repaired, then going out of service again a week later. We have 4 Stepmill machines. Currently 3 are broken. 1 has been out of service for the better part of a year and the second has been out of service for over a month. Only one of our rowers work. The second has been broken for over 6 months. We pay dues on a monthly basis assuming we will access to equipment we can use. That is not the case we are finding when we go to the club.

Desired outcome: A conversation with a district manager and corporate about the problems, acknowledging a plan on how they will fix these ongoing problems and updated and fixed machines.

LA Fitness International Robocalls

They call me twice or more a day, leaves messages. I block their numbers on the everyday basis but that don't stop them. Their harrassment is daily and relentless. And I never had a membership, visit their gym or even called them for information. I just got a new phone and, bam, the calls started pouring. And I am on the "do not call" registry. Please help!

LA Fitness International Sauna Room

There are members that are flagrantly disregarding the rule and signage stating that liquids are not to be poured on the "electric" sauna. Also, they are pouring liquids with additives such as eucalyptus and or menthol onto the sauna coals.

I am currently suffering from an allergic reaction to those additives and so are other members. If someone is highly allergic to such additives they could suffer possible hospitalization or even death. At this time I am suffering from swollen and itching eyes and skin. And partial closing of my throat.

Fights have also occurred because of this constantly happening because nothing is done by management or corporate about this situation. The Bensalem, P.A location is notorious for this. Something needs to be done immediately. Members doing these things should have their membership revoked and management and corporate should stress this constantly to deter these actions by unruly members. The occurrence happened 6/12/22 although this is not the first time.

LA Fitness International Impolite customer services

Hello, my name is Sheren Fok, and my husband's last name is Yau.

My husband joined the LA fitness membership $44.99mth, which could bring in with 2 guests. Yesterday (June 6, 2022 at 11:45am), when I went to LA fitness Markham (Ontario Canada) location, I experienced an very unhappy customer services there. The 2 front desk cashiers girls told me that I can't get in without my husband's in person accompany which is the club's policy... Yes, I absolutely understood after their explanation, however, when they told me that my husband's account was cancelled, I was very confused because we have paid the full membership fees... At the very beginning, 3 of us (the 2 front desk girls and me) were trying to figure out the reason why the account was cancelled... however, by trying couple times of verifying my family details names and telephone numbers and address, they still could not find out the reason why it was being cancelled, they just keep repeating to me that "the account was cancelled!"... I am getting upset about their not sincere, not patience and not professional approach, they were losing patience on me, and started ordering me to stop talking, they told me very rude to "stop yelling at us, there's no point to raise your voice!"... well, according to Google translation of the word "yelling" means - loud call out, shout, cry out, scream... But, I did not making any of these! (the club surveillance camera can proof on me)... I was trying to tell them I am not "yelling nor raise my voice to anyone of you, I just eager to find out about the account status"... but instead of trying to dissolve the situation, these 2 front desk girls kept accusing me even more by insulting me that my face and my eyes not looking friendly towards them so they refused to find out the problem /reason happened to the account, and said unless my face and my eyes looks better towards them, then they will check the account for me! Instead of getting more tension on the situation and I didn't want to argue with them, thus I asked them to get another customer services representative to help, hoping that I could be dissolved by another more professional trained customer service representative from the club. But to my disappointed, when this representative (a young lady) came out from the office behind the front desk, and was told by these 2 front desk girls that I was "yelling" at them so the 3 of them kept whispering in front of me... then, this representative came towards me, not even ask me what had happened, and bias telling me that "yelling" didn't not help! OMG, I even didn't had a chance to speak to this representative and how do I yelling? and she started gave me an bias attitude... she spoke quite rude to me that the account was not canceled and didn't explain to me why the other 2 front desk girls keep telling me the account was cancelled before?! and she told me that I can't get in because the account holder wasn't in present, I said I do understand the policy, and I wasn't there to argue, I wasn't there to fight, I wasn't there to insult any of the people there! I was just try to clarify the account, and why I was being treated like a "beggar"? Is it because I am not an English first speaking language? or I am an old lady that was being not respected? LA fitness is an international cooperation, and the employees should be professionally trained, not like working in a street booth (sorry please pardon me of that comparison because they do give me that feeling...)*Sorry again, this story wasn't end yet... being told that my account was active and I was about to leave, I asked the 2 front desk girls' name because I really upset of my experiences and I would like to file a complaint to the club manager if possible, but they were very rudely told me their name Kristian and Christina? (because they were not looking at me and speak so fast that I am not sure if I heard the right names), and they refused to give me the manager contact by saying that I can get the manager info only on the LA fitness website... Then I left the club, I was still in the parking lot, I went online to apply for a Free Guest Pass to enter to the club again after 5 mins. But the front desk girls were very surprise of my return and keep following me into the fitness club change room area, and even keeping surveillance on me when I was attending the Zumba lesson. And at the same time, one of them called my husband said that I couldn't get into the club unless with the present of my husband and that was the policy! OMG, I use my Free Guest Pass to enter the club without violate the fitness club policy, and I didn't understand why they have to making such big scene? When I finished the Zumba lesson, I left and I decided to file an official complaint on these 3 LA fitness Markham Ontario Canada location employees. This unpleasant customer services I have never experiences in my life, and I will definitely need an explanation of why these happened? And I would like the customer services relationship department or person in charge dealing of the complaints, could get back to me at the earliest if possible. Very appreciated and thank you your patience to read all my words. I look forward to heard the feed back asap.

Desired outcome: I would like to see an more professional customer services improve in the LA fitness club employees. I would like an apologize .

LA Fitness International 6 AM went to Gimm she treated me like criminal..

My name Luis Guajardo, 72 years old and desability permanent...me my wife and son I have been a clients to LA FITNESS BUNDY for 25 year, Today 4/29/2022 , 6am went to the Gim, my card was expired, I'll explain to renew today for phone because I don't have my VISA CARD with me, I leave the dressing room and she chases me to take out of the place and bad words because i'm hispanic , I'm the locker room and she call the police who take me out, treating me a criminal and they push me out of the place ...humiliated, harassed and tearting me like a criminal because my card expired...she gave my private record to the police and they summoned to the court... I'm Think need I'l talk to my lawyer..

LA Fitness International unorganized trainer schedule

I went to La fitness to register and when I sit with the personal trainer I tolled him that I do not need it, but he kept convincing me that he will give me two sessions free and 15% discount on every session if I registered at that day.

he told me if I registered he will follow me, advise me and take my weight and BMI measurement.

after I signed the contract I came to the first session on time and I did not find him he forgot to put me in the system and the trainer also was with someone else.

this is happening many times, I leave my job so I can arrive on time and he apologize and he said he will put me in another day.

after a month he did not really do what he said on the first day such as following me, measuring my weight and how I can improve my muscles.

at the end of the month, I came to complain and there was someone else at his desk because he moved to another gym.

I do not understand why is this mess?

I want to cancel and this happen been a month plus charge me for nothing and they do not have an unorganized policy for cancelation.

when I want to talk to the manager they give me an excuse ,

so please this is my worst experience, I want to cancel and will never go back to LA fitness because of their disrespectful way for not canceling due to their fault not mine.

they say its not our problem.

LA Fitness International Trainer Sessions

I signed up for an LA Fitness membership and What I understood to be a single group of Trainer sessions. I was asked if I wanted to pay in full and I did; approximately $400. I later noticed that LA Fitness was deducting $400 every month for Trainer sessions in addition to my membership fees. This was not the service that was explained to me.

I went to the gym to resolve and pay the requested 50% of the remaining balance. But I was asked to come back the next weekday to complete cancelation because Matt, the Sales manager I spoke with, needed to contact corporate office about the situation and that the corporate office was closed on weekends.

It's been almost two weeks now and each time I call or walk into the gym to pay for cancelation of the Trainer agreement, I've been told that no one was available to complete the cancelation.

I'm writing to ask for resolution of this matter. I simply want to cancel the Trainer agreement at cost. This has been a very disappointing and stressful experience.

LA Fitness International Music selection and volume

Hello,

I have provided feedback several times to the gym staff at the Atlantic Beach FL eSporta location regarding the music volume. I have phoned in also to provide feedback, but thia continues to be an issue. Several members share the feedback. The music selection is unappealing, but at least if the volume were lower, people can listen to their own music unimpeded. The loudest setting on my headset doesn't drown out the gym music volume.

The staff has advised me they have passed on the feedback to corporate, but that corporate controls the volume. Please address this annoyance.

LA Fitness International Annual Membership charge

I never receive an email or any type of notice that my annual fee was up for renewal. I first learned of the charge when reviewing my credit card statement.

It would be very simple to set up an email renewal notice 30 days before charging one card.

My renewal date was 21 Dec. I called for the refund on 31 Dec. I went in to fitness center on 3 Jan, first working day after 31 Dec and cancelled my membership. I am requesting a full refund of annual membership of $54.05.

I did not go to center after 21 Dec, therefore used none of the membership.

LA Fitness International Televisions

Please Please turn off the news and sports. It's horrible! Most customers get plenty of that at home. Put some nature videos on if you have to have television at all. You can't please all the different personalities at the gym so please don't try. Personally, I could do without either. Why don't you ever poll your customers to see what they want? You might get higher ratings when your reviews come in. Thanks for listening.

LA Fitness International membership cancellation

Barcode F32549741 I realized the charge of $ 54 on card for membership, it is a process to cancel with you I do not have any gym near my new address. They made the charge on 12/1 and my form arrived on 12/7, they sent me an email confirming the cancellation and I thought that the membership fee would be returned but when I sent the email asking for that return they told me no It was possible, I DO NOT understand why it is something that I will not use next year. what kind of policy are they usin?

LA Fitness International Refund from wrong discounts

My name is Natanaildo, I had signed an account with LA Fitness at South Florida Boca Raton specifically at Mission Bay. After canceling my account they kept the discounts and I just discovered because happens a fraud and I needed to cancel my account at Bank of America. So LA Fitness gave me the information that the refund was done at canceled account..., the Bank of America told me that this was impossible. I had contacted Corporate Department of LA Fitness, and a person of name Jazmine Bugs told me that she will reopened my account and change the bank information to proced with reimbursement, this one was more lies from their side. Today she asked to me come at the gym and take the receipt with front desk members with transactions number to show for the bank, this document doesn't exist. More lies...
Luiz Garcia is the manager of this unit that made this mistake and didn't cancel in correct way, but now he couldn't do nothing. This is so strange.
So I just want my money back, but this isn't a serious company focused on costumer satisfaction. They don't care about nothing, just receive our money. I don't know yet how to solve my issue and how to receive my money back, but any way I will start to register my compliant in all sites that I could.

LA Fitness International Complain against an employee

Roxana Silva on October 20, 2021, just suffered a huge embarrassment at LA fitness, located at 1801 NE 123 Street, suite 200 in North Miami.
I am Celeste Gouvea and I have been a LA fitness member for almost 17 years and I suffered the same!
Roxana is from Peru, she just moved to Miami and she is looking for a nice gym to register herself and she asked me for help.
Before Roxana come to visit this LA Fitness center location, she carefully filled her online free pass access, and I also made a previous call and spoke to the representative called Manny Casas at this location.
Which he was very attentive and welcomed Roxane to come and try her free pass access to see if she likes the gym. Also, gently he said that we should call him when we got at the gym reception.
So, we did exactly that.
However and unfortunately, he wasn't working at this time, starting his shift at 2pm.
Well, even though she had a online registered free pass access and spoke with Manny Casas previously, a man who identified himself as a general manager called Jose Cruz, fully prohibited Roxana Silva from gym access, mentioning Covid sanitary measure restrictions to all guests!
However, at the same time, he completely contradicted himself and requested $15, 00 for her free pass access!
In order to avoid more embarrassment she paid it to him and he gave her back her credit card receipt.
Curiously, Jose suddenly started to laugh at us. Roxana and I immediately called his attention to it!
In a Completely nonsense, disrespectful and insane attitude!
What a big shame of this whole situation!
Was Jose Cruz instructed to treat and welcome future LA Fitness members and other members like this?
After Roxana experiment this humiliation and constraint, she has no intention or interest to become a new member, like anyone in the same situation!
Please, keep closer attention to Jose Cruz attitudes, his posture representing this well-established and amazing company is totally disconnected, disrespectful, contradictory and disastrous.
Thank you very much for all your attention and feedback about this case.
