LaserAway Medical Group Scammers! Terrible customer service!!

Believe all the negative reviews you read. I wish I had looked them up before I even considered using Laser Away.

They hardcore sold me services that I couldn’t use. They said my skin type was no longer a good fit for the procedure any more after a few sessions. But I already prepaid for multiple sessions! Now I can’t get a refund! The company is unethical. Their corporate team is just as bad. Every time I call no one answers. I leave messages and no one ever calls back either. This place is just here to scam people, take their money and then move on to the next unsuspecting victim.

Recommendation: Disappointed

LaserAway Medical Group When the leadership is bad, no matter how hard store level employees it’s for nothing. A Review of Brian Dickerson San Diego area Laserway

I am providing this review for Laseraway after having a horrible experience not only with the service I got from the Carlsbad location but after being talked down to by their regional manager Mr. Brian D. ( out of respect I will leave his last name Out) First let's start with the service itself, which was a hydra facial. Let me give you some personal advice if you want to spend $250 on a hydra facial, do it with an aesthetician and not at LaserAway because their "" definition of a well researched procedure is not what you would expect from a hydra facial. There are plenty of other places where you can spend that money and get a great treatment.

According to Brian D they will only treat your T-zone because that is their well researched procedure .

When I called to express concern after I got my Hydro facial, you would expect that they would call back within 24 hours as stated in there hold messages . Not the case here I waited several days and talked to several people before one person Miss Laney actually took the time to make it right and then I got a hold of Mr. Brian D. Instead of trying to understand what had happened he talked down to me and let me know that in not so many words the fact that he took time after 7 days to listen to me that at least we are giving you $60 bucks for the $200 or so I spent. Quote the "service is already rendered and I should be happy with even the gesture.

LaserAway if you all are gonna make it right then make it right, don't talk down and demean your customer's that care to bring up concerns ( BTW everyone; hardly do I write a review )This review is not out of spite but to inform readers what u can expect if u are ever in my shoes.

Spend your money with locals readers. if you think corporations care. Yeah not so much friends.

Learned the hard way after being a loyal customer for over six years maybe longer.

Dear Brian please keep you 5000 points sometimes customers really don't care about the compensation it more about respect. Good luck sir

Recommendation: Buyer Beware, choose a business that cares about their customers and has leadership that respects not only customers but the voice of their employees

LaserAway Medical Group I bought an 8 appointment package with LaserAway expecting to get 5-6 appointments by September, as I had to go out of the area

I bought an 8 appointment package with LaserAway expecting to get 5-6 appointments by September, as I had to go out of the area. I informed them of this and was reassured that they would make this happen. Due to shelter-in-place orders, my appointments were cancelled without them informing me. I called and found out the day before my prescheduled appointment. When they opened back up, again I had to initiate the call to reschedule my appointments. However, when I called, I was informed that there were no appointments available until August, 1.5 months later, which meant I would be lucky to get 1-2 appointments before I left the area. Due to this, I decided to ask for a refund on my remaining 7 appointments, which I had been told was something I could do within a year of buying the package. I was told that I'd be called back in 2 days by the director who could process refunds. Three days later and I called again. Again I was told I'd be called back. So I tried again the next day. And the next day. And the next day. By the end of that week, I had called 5 times and still hadn't been called back. It wasn't until the following Wednesday, 9 days later, that I finally received a call back from them. I was told that they typically didn't give refunds other than in the form of store credit, but might be willing to make an exception. However, this would mean that, since I "broke" the package, I would only receive $1800 of my $3000 back, despite my 1 treatment. I had never been told about this before I bought my package. What was supposed to be a $400 treatment tripled in price to become $1200. I found this unacceptable but was given no leeway and told that this was company policy. Don't use this service. The contract is not clear and the customer service is lacking.

I spent over $10,000 on LaserAway Treatments and it wasn't until the pandemic hit that I realized it is a complete rip off. I paid for full body hair removal and was guaranteed 80% hair removal through the 8 treatment process. I was even sold on an additional 3 treatments to get up to 90% hair removal. I did not realize throughout the process that the results were poor because they have you constantly shaving in between your appointments, this makes it seem like you are getting great results because you are shaving all of your hair off throughout the 48 week process! Once the pandemic hit and I could no longer go to my appointments I realized within 2 months of no shaving that I did not have anywhere near 80% hair removal. The only effective treatment areas were where coarser hair grows, armpits/bikini, I experienced 50% hair loss. Most of my body (arms and legs) was 20% hair removal, and for the amount of money I spent, that is just not reasonable. I also did not notice any difference after 3 fire and ice treatments and 3 clear and brilliant treatments, since I have hyperpigmentation on my face the salesperson guaranteed me that I just needed to keep booking more appointments and getting more treatments to see results, but now I realize they are just salespeople and not experts and we should all stick with doctors and dermatologist for real results. I hav spoken directly with their customer service representative from corporate and they stand behind their services even stating that some people experience 0% hair removal from treatments, so basically something is better than nothing. For me, this is not ok and I would not have made such a huge investment in hair removal treatments if I knew that I was going to get poor results. I have been offered 1 free treatment for the areas that I see the least amount of results but is 1 treatment really going to make a difference if 8-9 or did not. Of course not! I am being asked to sign a release against claims in exchange.

Laser away is a dishonest business. I went for 6 sessions over the course of a year for 3 pinpoint tattoos inserted for radiation cancer. It has been totally ineffective so I asked for a refund. I was asked to come in to the place where the treatments were done so they could photograph the tattoos again. The RN there acknowledged that they tattoos were very visible and there was no point coming in for more treatments. Some corporate individual, a Brian Dickerson, contacted me and told me they never offer refunds for inadequate service. He offered me a credit on future sessions, but I shared what the RN had said, i.e. that add'l sessions were pointless. He refused to refund. This is an indication of how dishonest they are. I would never use their service.

1 star is too generous. I have been rescheduled by them repeatedly. The treatment is fantastic, but unfortunately the professionalism and basic business skills are thoroughly lacking. However, a great treatment is only useful if you can actually use the package. I have once been scheduled for a time and shown up on time and been told I was late (which according to my confirmation texts were false). I was also called an hour before and cancelled on. Then when a refund was requested was told they would get back to me, and when I called again was informed the request was never made. Save yourself the money and headache, because no package is useful when you can't be seen.

I bought a package of (4) coolsculting treatments from Laser way. I was told the day of the treatment that I had 2 applications left and I remember asking when I should rebook.

I booked May 1st which the consultant verbally confirmed I had 2 applications left however, the earliest I could get in was June 13th. When I arrived they told me. The sales consultant stayed I had used all 4 of my applications which wasn't true!

1.) I wasn't there longer than 2hrs (proven in text messages!)
2.) I should have been advised that day that I spent $2600 for all treatments. Which I wasn't!
3.) The practitioner who documented my treatments "Sabrina" and wasn't the person who preformed this treatment! I am certain that Lady did my treatment not Sabrina.
4.) The matter in which they treated me is completely disgraceful.

The customer service is awful with LaserAway, and during my "free" consultation call, the person did NOT go over the refund policy. They rushed through the info. After the call, I research more about Clear + Brilliant, and decided it's not the best route for my skin, and I canceled the upcoming appointment. I've tried contacting the stores management, but they directed the salesperson that signed me up for the plan to contact me. I DO NOT WANT TO SPEAK TO ANOTHER SALESPERSON. PLEASE REFUND THIS TREATMENT PACKAGE.

Incomplete Information and Rushed to complete paper work ... Treatment and products have shown no improvement.. I was supposed to be getting a special price. I was told I had to put $300 down towards my total. I was never told in the initial conversation I would be financing with a different finance company. I recently discovered my down payment was not towards my balance but a 20% finance fee. I spoke to one person then was referred to the sales person Ariana. She said nothing she could do but will forward my concern. Someone called claiming to be the only person to make the decision to credit my account. Both of the previous claimed this person could assist. This is a scam, I explained to the salesperson I did not want to pay more than the special price and was excited about the sale. She never told me anything about this fee. I have text messages. She told me to create my account. I told her it was already done. She told me no I need to create another account and I would get a link. I was confused about creating a second account. She said that's where I would make payments. I still at this point think it is for LaserAway. I found out after completing all the steps I was rushed to complete, I didn't need to make a down payment. Later I received an email and son some other free facial or treatment.I was also told it would be thrown in. I want my money refunded. They also keep chatting card and assessed $35 fees which need to be returned as well. I was told I needed to get it done the technician was waiting for pictures and the special would be ending.

5/5/2022 I was just browsing for possible cool sculpting and immediately got a phone call. They said that was the last day to get 33% of a package deal and had never been offered before, likely never again. Went ahead due to the urgency in the discount and pressured sales and bought a package for almost $5,000. Late the next day after watching video decided this was not smart and pretty sure it would trigger my PTSD & I likely would be a bad situation for both me and the staff. Asked for a refund since no services were rendered and briefly explained why. They are refusing to refund and stating only a store credit, which I don't need since I'm not trying the cool sculpting. Side note - the next week days after I'd canceled and requested a refund, saw that "last day" discount was still running. Supposedly that deal was ending within hours the Sunday I purchased. I would not have purchased and thought about it if I'd known the deal was not really ending. Filing a complaint both with the complaintsboard.com and my credit card company.

LaserAway Medical Group Well let me start by saying I am a guy!

Well let me start by saying I am a guy! I have been going to laser away since 2017 and am so happy with MOST of my results...this is what I have purchased since going here- back hair removal, front and back neck hair removal , upper face hair removal, I also got tattoo treatments "still am" 5 in total. I have spent close to around 6000$ and am going to keep spending there! I originally came in Because I got a tattoo on my ring finger. So I started on two tattoos And my face hair removal. All my tattoos are black-and-white I could see the results right away with the tattoo removal and that goes for all my tattoo. It does take about 10 to 20 sessions depending if you never wanna see it again, or a tattoo over "witch I am doing both" . Also have in mind you should wait between two months and three months between each session which means this is going to take you a couple years to get rid of your tattoo, Patience is the key with LaserAway! but you will hear of other places you can get rid of your tattoo quicker and yes there are machines out there now that are getting a lot better but LaserAway keeps their machines on low so it doesn't mess up your skin where most places keep their machines on high and will get rid of your tattoo quicker but you'll have scars for the rest of your life! Now my hair removal it worked for about a year but all the hair that I've had removed has come back. But I am a guy ,my hair is extremely thick and dark, I'm like a bear! And yes they can be kind of pushy when you first go in for your consultant so wear your big boy pants and be ready to say I need to think about this because that's what the responsible person does. I was pretty shocked when I started reading what was on this. But hopefully this helps someone out there..

P.s thank you laser away, For giving me more confidence!

Laseraway has sales people sell you services, and the sales people have no experience as to what they sell you, they just want to earn their commission. The Brazilian underarm combo was $2,000. I later looked up other places, that charge $60.00 for Brazilian, and 40 for under arms. So 8 sessions should have only cost me $800 in Beverly Hills. I could have saved $1200.00 with people who have more experience and are in the medical field. Then they don't even address your concerns if you they don't offer the service, they try to sell you something else. I wanted to do something about my jawline, double chin, and the girl sold me cheek filler and smile lines filler! Their filler is also 1250 a syringe (well subject to change because they wont tell you general pricing) other places have all their prices listed on their website. Many medical places with great reputations sell syringes for $700. When I finally spoke to a nurse in office, she said what I had purchased wouldn't address my concerns. So she recommended coolsculpting. It was a horrible mistake, I was told I only need 2 small machines (1 session) it did nothing, but left me bruised and marked for my vacation. Everyone thought i had been brutally attacked, or hurt on my neck because the bruising was so bad. it was so embarrassing, The sales person told me I would be able to go on my vacation with no problem at all. it was horrifying and it didn't even work. Now I am stuck paying these services on financing. I have never been so disappointed with a business, and I am not a cheap person. I will pay for good services. I don't know a single business who wont tell you straight up the cost of their services. They tell you it can vary depending on how many services you will need, but they still tell you upfront. Also they don't even schedule you for services you have already paid for because they are so booked out. They tell you to call back.

I saw an ad for this company and since I've been curious about the services they provide, I thought I would see how good the deal would actually be. In order to see pricing you are prompted to enter your email and phone number, which isn't uncommon these days. Then I'm prompted to schedule a Zoom Consultation. I have no desire for this. I just want to see if any of the services I was interested in were in my budget. Since I have gained no more information regarding pricing from their website, and have no intention of doing the consult, I leave the website. I receive an email and a text message right away. I go to the email to unsubscribe myself from communications, and send a "STOP" text right back. There is no unsubscribe button on the email. So I click the "privacy policy" link. Before the website could even load, I receive 2 phone calls from unknown numbers, a voicemail, and 2 more texts. Surprise surprise! It's from LaserAway. I text "STOP" again, and block the numbers. Back to the privacy policy on their website. This is directly pulled from their website: "If you would like to unsubscribe to us or to our newsletter options or to stop receiving our promotional/ marketing emails, you may follow the unsubscribe instructions included in each email or email us at privacy @laseraway. net." Well as we all know, their email had no "Unsubscribe Here" button. So my only option was to email them. I type an email to privacy@ laseraway. net. IT BOUNCES BACK. The email address doesn't exist! WHAT THE HECK?!? How on earth do I get these people to leave me alone? I'd like to re-iterate I "Signed Up" for this communication at 3:25 pm PST, and am writing this Complaintsboard.com review at 4:32 pm PST. I received an excessive amount of communication within 30 minutes and after several attempts of getting myself off their list, I still have no solutions. The only thing LaserAway has ensured is that I will never be their customer. DO NOT SIGN UP. YOU WILL REGRET IT!

I spent 3000.00 with Laser Away Meridian Idaho in a week. Purchased 150 botox and a laser package 8 sessions. Here is the bait and switch. Laser Away Meridian- Sir if you get the Laser hair removal package we want to offer you a free Fire and Ice Facial. Its worth x amount of dollars. Me- Okay sounds like an opportunity. So now I go in and get my first laser removal. The nurse tech informs me that you cannot get a Fire and Ice facial as you have facial hair. You cannot get with facial hair. Me- Well this was a point that got me to spend another 1500,00 with you? I bring this up to the staff and said I am more than ok with getting some extra botox on my account or if you want to just give me one of your Clear and Brilliant facials as that is something I can use with facial hair. Staff said Manager said cannot do anything for me? Really? You bait me with a facial I cannot use and don't do anything else to make up for it. I am a sales manager for esthetician services. I would never jeopardize business like this. I wouldn't have a job. Your competition are going to make a lot of money with me. Stupid. I will get through the services on the books then I am no longer going to be a customer of LaserAway.

Negligence noncompliance to COVID guidelines The business here discussed is LaserAway in Dublin, CA On August 5th, I was a patron of this clinic to receive laser hair removal procedure. I was informed on the phone prior to my arrival that I would be asked screening questions (symptoms, cough, fever) and be taken a temperature. However, when I got to the clinic, neither the front desk or the nursing staff asked me about those screening questions, and they did not take the temperature either. To give them the benefit of the doubt...I asked other patrons in the store if they were asked those questions or had their temperature taken, both of them said no. At this time, I was concerned that this clinic is not following their own guidelines of screening patients before check-in, potentially allowing sick or asymptomatic patrons to have been inside their treatment rooms. As for myself, I decided to leave the clinic due to the above reasons. I have spoken with the front desk regarding the importance to keep their patrons safe by asking those questions and take their temperatures. To my disappointment, their response was a lackadaisical "sometimes we do it and sometimes we don't". I was alarmed by their response, especially considering this is a healthcare clinic. I question whether this was an issue only to this clinic...or is this type woeful negligence tolerated by the LaserAway management at the corporate level. I believe businesses have a responsibility in the fight of COVID-19. These screening questions, although not perfect, but they serve as an important barrier to protect the staff and other patrons of the clinic. The woeful lack of compliance, not only to county guidelines, but to their own business protocols is something that the county should investigate to make sure this business is doing everything in the collective fight in this pandemic.

I Have been going to Laser Away since last year. Today, I had an appointment but I arrived late, 10 minutes after. The personnel there (San Diego, 4S Ranch) did not show any consideration to me. They would rather give me another appointment at 5:15 pm. It is incredible! because they always spend 10-15 minutes maximum doing my treatment. How is that? Do they treat their clients like that? They did not show any sympathy for me. It is totally unpolite and disrespectful
especially knowing that I got late because I forgot my appointment. They promised to call me or send me a message as a reminder for my appointment but nobody did it. There is the worst service that I have met in my life.

Horrible customer service- will not refund packages despite me moving hours away from any LaserAway location. I got Botox, Xeomin (which I was told was exactly like Botox but actually doesn't work as well or last as long), tattoo removal, and 1 clear and brilliant treatment (down time before face looked presentable was actually ~5 days to 1 week despite what they told me of a day or just the evening of the treatment day. Anyway! The services were OK and the staff is mostly friendly- some a little bougie. But! They refuse to refund the 3 packages I bought, even though I have now relocated to more than 3 hours away from the nearest laser away location. I have called at least 6 times and e-mailed and they keep promising someone will call me from corporate or customer service, or I was told once they contacted the owner of the Castro district SF location- and no one ever calls or gets back to me. Terrible, terrible customer services. Positively do not recommend. Horrible business practices. Horrible customer service.

LaserAway Medical Group Where do I start?

Where do I start?
I originally purchased a hair removal package for 8 sessions for my upper legs, bikini line and under arms. After my second session I upgraded to full Brazilian, full leg and upper lip. I was told I would be getting 8 session on the new areas and 10 for my upper lip. After my 6th Brazilian I was told that I was done even though I was under the impression I had two more. The way I found this out is what upset me though. They scheduled me to come in, only to tell me I don't have anymore sessions in that area. So they wasted my time & misinformed me of what I would be receiving. Then after all my sessions I had a review done on my results because when it was sold to me they said I should see 65-80% reduction. The lady that saw me said I had about 40-50% reduction and that they should of told me to wait until I was about 25 years old because the results would be better because my hormones would have calmed down. Which was my first time hearing this. I then was told to get in touch with customer service to get some resolution. I waited a MONTH to finally get a response. They told me everytime I called that they called me (when I never received a call) & that they emailed me, (which I responded to multiple times with no response). I got a gentleman named Brain who was not very pleasant to talk to and had no sympathy to the stuff I've been going through with this company. They were clearly in the wrong but refused to admit fault. Not one apology for any of it. He gave me one compensated session, which is not going to get me to the 65%-80% reduction I was promised. I understand that not everybody responds to the treatment the same. But when you are told you are getting something, you expect it. I feel like I was sold this under false pretenses. I would like to be given an amount of session that will get me to the reduction I was promised. And I recommend to anyone reading this as a potential future client, go somewhere else!

I type an email to [protected]@ laseraway.

LaserAway Medical Group BEWARE OF THEIR FINANCING PLANS!

BEWARE OF THEIR FINANCING PLANS! Laser Away has one of the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE departments I have ever dealt with. I had set up a phone consultation to discuss tattoo removal and was reluctantly convinced by the rep to sign up for a plan. I had told the rep I was hesitant because I did tattoo removal in 2015 and it was very painful, she told me to try it out and if I didn't like it I could cancel. Once at the Sacramento location for treatment the front desk people told me that the color in my tattoo would probably never go away, no matter how many treatments I got, and that it gets more painful with every session. I went in and lasted 5 seconds, they lasered 1 inch of my tattoo, and I immediately said stop and I wanted to discontinue and cancel my plan. I was assured by the front desk staff this was no issue and I would get a full refund for the pre-paid 2 year plan, and that they understand its not for everyone. I even got contacted by the rep who tried to convince me to apply my money towards other services, but I said no, and she said it was fine and I would get a full refund. Come to find out Laser Away only approved $2615 of my $4184 plan to be refunded and said I still owe $1569. First I called my rep who said she had no idea why I wasn't fully refunded and told me to call Customer Service at #888. After calling the #888 and being told only a Director could talk to me and that the Director would call me back that same day, multiple times, and never receiving any calls back, I asked a customer service rep for a direct # to the Directors. She lied and gave me a store # where they told me there was no Director there, but the lady at the store was able to explain that the $1569 I still owed was for my 1 treatment! I said how is it possible 1 inch of skin cost that much yet 2 years worth for my whole back was $4184, she said she didn't know but that it was notated on the account I got 1 full treatment and that's how much it cost! She also gave me an email for someone who she said could help me look into this matter but my faith in anyone in this company actually returning my calls/emails when it doesn't make them any money is a 0. Which is the amount of stars I wish I could give! The chance of me ever returning to one of these places or recommending them is also a 0, and it is now going to be my mission to expose them for the crooks they are and possibly seek legal action to get my money back since they don't seem to honor what they say. DO NOT GO HERE unless you are 1000% sure you are ok with overpaying no matter what the result.

LaserAway Medical Group I would give LaserAway zero stars if I could

I would give LaserAway zero stars if I could. They rush and sell you these packages over the phone, promising to accommodate your schedule, talk you through the process, a great experience, etc, that they do not provide later on. The communication has been horrible. I have no way to review my account. And now that I've had an issue, it has been a struggle to get assistance. I know we are in a pandemic, but service resolution still matters.
My last visit was horrible at the Fremont LaserAway location. Morgan, the manager, called me at 3:22 pm to see if I was on my way for my 3:15 appointment. I told her my appointment is at 3:30 and that I was up the street. She said something again about my appointment being at 3:15 and stated maybe the nurse can do my whole body. Now, my appointment was made to laser my legs, underarm, and bikini, but I'm not following why it may or may not all possibly be done. So I explained to her that according to my appointment text confirmation message, the appointment confirmation email I received, and phone call, all of the times mention 3:30. She told me that I needed to show that to her. I walk in the door at 3:26, and I would have been sooner, but I had to find the email and text message. She greets me and I tell her my name, immediately showing her the text message. Now here is my issue. Morgan's tone becomes almost argumentative, stating something about a call that was made in December about me coming in at 3:15. I don't have access to LaserAway's computer system, but what I do have access to is the emails, text messages, and phone calls made to me. Instead of Morgan using words to make peace with the conversation, because at this point I'm still confused, she said she will go get the nurse and see if she can still help me. After showing her the text, I thought that would clear everything as I drove about 30 minutes to this appointment. With Morgan's tone, I decided it was best to cancel my appointment. I starting conversing with the other representative working behind the desk. She had much more courtesy in resolving the issue than Morgan did. She even let me know she didn't have corporate's phone number but told me where I could find it. Even the nurse that walked up didn't care to resolve the issue. It was no way I was going to stay for this appointment.
At this point, I don't care to hear from them so they can attempt to make it right and keep me as a customer. I want to be credited for the services I won't be receiving. I won't be utilizing their services again ever. Be careful. Shop around. As for me, I chose to spend my money where I'm valued as a customer.

LaserAway Medical Group My Hair laser treatement for face and neck started in Oct 2018 and ended in Oct 2019 Frisco TX location

My Hair laser treatement for face and neck started in Oct 2018 and ended in Oct 2019 Frisco TX location.
Miss Veronica was very good initially when there is a matter to attract client.
My friends got hair laser treatments from other places and I had an idea about the treatment duration and frequency.
In my first visit the nurse came and after one minute she said you are done. I was very shocked that how is it possible. Same thing happened in second treatemnt, I discussed my concern with Miss Veronica that I am not satisfied bc I am getting just one minute time. I also told her I will not continue and will get my refund. She apologise, and said initially it takes less time but I will change the nurse next time and promised that I will have no complain in future. Well till my 6 treatments they were making me fool for treating 1-3 minutes only for full face and neck with very less frequency that was not helpful, I didnt notice any hair shedding. Miss Veronica given me only one complimentary treatment.
At the end of treatment, I showed Miss Veronica my facial hair growth, and Miss Erica took my face pics and told me my case will be forward and you will hear soon.
I was keep waiting and called after few weeks then Miss Veronica told me that contact Miss Whitney Allen. I talked her she again wants me to come with full hair growth for pics. I coordinated with her went to facility with all facial hair showed her and she took pics and said samething that I will forward your case and you will hear soon from Miss Barbara ***. I never heard back I keep emailing her and told her Miss Barbara not contacting me etc. I contacted Frisco location to talk Veronica but they started ignoring my calls and texts. Finally after 2 months Miss Barbara told me sorry we can't help it and said you got 3 complimentary treatments which was totally wrong. I emailed her back and mentioend her that I got only one extra treatment. I texted Veronica that why Barbara got wrong info so please correct her but no reply from Veronica.
I am very unsatisfied with poor service they have given me plus the way they started ignoring me. The changed behavior of Miss Veronica really hurts me that ho she was sweet with me initially to make me client and at end instead of helping me in representing my case she started ignoring me.
I went to the facility of Frisco to talk Ms Veronica but she was not there. I talked front desk lady and she said I will convey your msg to Veronica and she will call you. Its now Feb 2020 no call nothing.
I want my money back bc my facial hair coming back and have to do threading or spend money to other place.
Its my request to please refund my money.
Thank you

LaserAway Medical Group Please read before considering Laseraway for any treatment

Please read before considering Laseraway for any treatment. Laseraway advertises a service called "CoolSculpting" as a cosmetic service designed to enhance your appearance by freezing pockets of fat in your body. Sales representatives/nurses did not provide adequate information about the risks of such a procedure, and did not inform me that I was not a proper candidate for the treatment, which was made wholly evident by the fact that the machine could not even adhere to my body and I was asked to hold it in place, which is not standard. I was also in an excruciating amount of pain and informed the nurse, who told me this is normal. The result of the treatment was permanent disfigurement caused by Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia, which causes a reactionary response to the body that thickens and expands fat cells rather than reducing them. There were significant and obvious abnormal appearance on the areas of treatment, my upper and lower abdomen. There are pockets of fat the size of a fist protruding from my body, and a "ripple" like appearance on my abdomen, which was formerly symmetrical and smooth. I contacted LaserAway and I was examined by a nurse, who did not take my complaint seriously even though she agreed that the appearance was abnormal. Rather than diagnose me with PAH or intervene further, she simply told me to purchase a massage device to "smooth it out." This disfigurement has impacted my mental health and has been detrimental to my relationships, my self-image, caused shame, among other things. I developed depression and an eating disorder in an attempt to try to make the fat "go away." I contacted LaserAway, and after going back and forth I ended up speaking to their legal counsel, who flatly denied that LaserAway holds any responsibility, and told me Allergan does. Allergan's consumer affairs representive then told me that the "treating facility" is responsible and it is in their contract with LaserAway. Any conversation with their legal counsel was useless and frustrating as she refused to even consider LaserAway's culpability and kept saying "Allergan" and changing the subject in a condescending manner rather than respond to my complaint about LaserAway. She could not even engage in a conversation about LaserAway's responsibility and has attempted to make this serious matter "go away" by simply ignoring the problem. This is what happens when a company becomes completely profit-based. There is no concern or care for consumers, and actual harm is being caused without any offer of remedy. In effect, I paid LaserAway thousands of dollars for a treatment designed to enhance my appearance and ended up permanently disfigured. I paid LaserAway to disfigure. This is the very definition of fraud. Please protect yourself.

LaserAway Medical Group This is only the third negative review I have ever left for a business, because I take negative reviews seriously and understand that they can

This is only the third negative review I have ever left for a business, because I take negative reviews seriously and understand that they can very much impact a business. And unfortunately, this review was well-earned by LaserAway.

I purchased a Groupon from LaserAway back in 2018, and used all three sessions (this was for IPL). Earlier this year (XXXX) I was curious if I could buy another Groupon, so I called the Pasadena location, where I was told I could purchase another Groupon for the same service if more than one year had lapsed since my last visit, which it had. I purchased the Groupon voucher and some time after that Covid hit, and LaserAway was temporarily shut down. When they first re-opened they were only doing laser hair removal and tattoo removal for a few weeks. I finally called to see if they were doing IPLs and they said they were - I tried to make an appointment, and as soon as the word Groupon came out of my mouth I was put on hold. The receptionist didn't think I could use my voucher, and had me speak to the director of the Pasadena location. I was told that they were no longer accepting Groupon vouchers, simply stating that it is "company protocol". The director who I spoke to honestly seemed to understand my frustration and coudln't really offer me any reason other than the new company protocol, and suggested that I speak with the regional manager - I said sure. I got a phone call later that afternoon from the regional manager (Alma Meza). I explained my situation and she proceeded to flounder, giving me a few different reasons why I couldn't use my voucher. First it was that I had visited LaserAway previously, even though I sent her a screenshot of the fine print from my voucher that said NOTHING about it only being valid for first time customers - the first line of the fine print states that the voucher is "not valid for customers active within the past 12 months". She then stated that they wouldn't accept the voucher because they pulled their deals off of Groupon (yet my voucher was still valid, expiring on December 30th of 2020, so that didn't make sense). She THEN said they wouldn't accept my voucher because they're not honoring their promotional deals due to the impact Covid has had on their business. Whenever I tried to speak she would literally just talk over me, at the same time. It was mind-blowingly rude. She wouldn't listen to anything I was saying and offered to transfer me to their client services department for a refund. All I wanted was to use the voucher that I had paid for, for the service I paid for. I understand that Covid has had detrimental effects on businesses everywhere, but I don't feel like that's a good enough reason to be so rude and turn a customer away. I could have easily made an appointment if I was paying full price for the service.

LaserAway is doing bad business, not honoring their deals, and I think it's unacceptable. I will not be giving them any of my money, and suggest others consider getting the services Laserway offers from a local small business that actually respects their customers.

LaserAway Medical Group Refund for services not received

I am starting this claim on 10/3/23. I was talked into a package on 9/28/23 and my first laser appointment is scheduled for 10/12/23. At this time I have not received services and am requesting a full refund. Laser Away signed me up for a loan company that I did not authorizing. They did not communicate the loan company to me and I cannot commit to their services. I wish to cancel the package and am working with the loan company as well to cancel this agreement. I was not fully aware of all these circumstances.

Desired outcome: It would be fair for laser away to cancel the package I have not received services for.

LaserAway Medical Group Laser hair removal

In Nov 2020, I was interested in beginning laser hair removal and heard of Laseraway. Jessica called me to explain the benefits and the deals on the packages. There were no upfront prices like how you see when you look at any normal laser hair removal place’s website. The lady Jessica literally pulled then out of her [censored] to pay herself. So sad I fell for this scam during the pandemic. Purchased a laser hair removal package with financing over the phone which was apparently originally $10,000 but got offered the services for $4,000. LIKE WHAT?!?! Only to realize years later that I ended up pay 27% in interest which is about $2,500. Laser is nowhere near that price anywhere else. I asked if I could cancel prior to receiving the services but was told that I couldn’t do that because the financing company already paid them. That was some [censored] answer. She said all that they could do was offer me a fee extra treatments. I had no choice to accept. I tried asking someone else at the company if I could please cancel since I’m dissatisfied with the results. She said it would no longer be at a discounted price and after canceling the package I would have to pay full price for the treatments I already had which I agreed to, but I informed them that I would like the left over loan money to either be returned to the loan company, or returned to me. Unfortunately, I was naive to these made up numbers for laser hair removal treatments and to top it off am still to this day getting laser from another company because Laseraway didn’t work. All I want is some sort of refund for the $4,000+ that I wasted for NOTHING. The lady who scammed me is JESSICA RIPOLI

LaserAway Medical Group Laser hair removal + clear and brilliant

I inquired in LaserAway on how much will be the LHR for underarm and also for hydrafacial. [protected]) Someone called me and started to suggest that I need to do LHR on the face + clear and brilliant she started to give me package for LHR under arm, legs and face and also the laserlove membership+ clear&Brilliant. The total of this package is 5,799.98. Then the next day I felt like I was scammed because when I inquired the lady that I talked to just keep on talking until it lead me to a loan company and also my doctor told me that I am not allowed to have LHR. So I called them for the cancellation of my plan since I haven’t done any treatments and someone called me that I cannot do refund and that I can only do is store credit which is doesn’t make sense because I haven’t done any treatments so she said someone will call me again and I was very patient then the lady who gave me promotion called me and said the same thing then she said someone from accounting will call me but hasn’t called me yet. I felt like it was a scammed. I mean even when you buy something in the store you can return it if you change your mind. I hope they could refund me.

LaserAway Medical Group Tattoo removal

I am writing to request a refund and stop payment on my Universal Account Servicing for Laseraway Med Spa. I have emailed them three times and they refuse to contact me. My services were falsely advertised for tattoo removal as I was guaranteed the process would remove my tattoo, but this statement was retracted after I signed up for Universal Account Servicing monthly payments and received a few treatments. I was then told the services provided may not remove my tattoo as promised. With that I also had another doctor take a look and do a test tattoo removal treatment. One treatment from him did more than 9 seasons of coming to Laseraway. Thus, the agreement I entered into was false advertising and I want my contract terminated.

I have also requested my legal medical documents of treatments from Laseraway which have not been sent and I am now considering this a legal matter. I have contacted the Board of Cosmetology to begin a case against laseraway and have a lawyer ready to begin the legal process if this contract with UAS and Laseraway is not terminated.

Desired outcome: A partial refund for the services and emotional damage caused trying to resolve this.

LaserAway Medical Group Seeking urgent resolution: misrepresentation and lack of support regarding thermage

Treatment was May 26, 2023

Date Writing this is June 1, 2023

I reached out to customer service immediately after my appt, was told someone would call me back and then no one reached out. I submitted a web form yesterday and got a call from my sales rep, but the whole reason I was contacting customer service was because of my sales rep. When I asked to speak to someone else, she told me that she would handle it about 5 times until finally I said I wasn’t comfortable speaking with her and would like a call from someone else.

Things got weird when a New York number called me at 8pm that night. He said he worked with Laser Away and that he was based in New York, he said he led a customer service team. My “ticket” came across his desk and he didn’t understand what my issue was. I explained that I felt like I got manipulated into getting a treatment I did not want and the sales person I spoke with misrepresented the treatment, timeline, results, pain level and price.

He got really argumentative at this point and said “You paid for the treatment and you got the treatment. So, what’s the issue?” He also said, "I don't see how this is anything that the rep misrepresented," which I thought was very strange for someone in customer service to say. I started thinking that this person wasn’t who he said he was. Why was he calling me at 11pm at night from New York? Why wouldn’t he tell me his name? I have tried calling the number back and it goes straight to voicemail.

She sent me images of the treatment area being the lower face, that is also what my invoice stated I would be getting done. However when I asked what I paid for- he said the full face. She also sent a before and after that she said was same day results of her friend. Knowing what I know now, I believe this photo is photoshopped. This whole interaction was so confusing - I just feel like I was taken advantage of for a sales commission. I would have been happy addressing another area or taking a different approach - I just wish she was honest with me about the treatment. Patients have every right to know the information about what your company is selling.

When I came in for my appt and met with the RN, of course I was nervous with it being my first time, but I was shocked and stunned when she told me the accurate timeline, process, pain level, and was honest about the details of the treatment. She proceeded to treat my whole face, when on my invoice it said I was paying for the lower face/neck. When I asked if I paid for the whole face, the rep said "Yes and you got 900 pulses so what's the issue?" The issue is that if I would have known any of these things, I would not have chosen that date to get the procedure, may have chosen a different area - and I may have chosen something else entirely. I didn't want nor pay for the whole face.

I went with Laser Away compared to another competitor or office because I felt like they were masters in this field. I am walking away feeling almost like a victim, conned and lied to - not because of the actual practice’s fault, but because of the patient experience before and after. I never want to go back there again after how this whole thing has panned out.

Desired outcome: Seeking acknowledgement: Sales rep misrepresentation + suspicious call. Doubt NY caller's legitimacy; likely sales rep's associate. Won't return to Laser Away. Lost trust, unnecessary treatment. Want balance returned to me, at the least.

LaserAway Medical Group Bait and switch - sales verbally confirms refundable packages and then if you request refund they point to a contract no reasonable customer

Bait and switch - sales verbally confirms refundable packages and then if you request refund they point to a contract no reasonable customer reads. Purchased what was reiterated several times by *** and manager at the Woodland Hills location as a REFUNDABLE prepaid package of Clear+Brilliant and Fire+Ice treatments for a total charge of $*** on May 12. I was verbally told prior to payment by*** and the manager on duty that the prepaid package was fully refundable. In June I walked in and requested a refund due to sun restrictions and the Woodland Hills manager on duty talked me out of it - reiterating that I got a great deal and should keep the refundable credit for treatments in the fall which I agreed to with the understanding that I would see if the treatments would work at a great price but didn't have a risk of losing out on the cost of unused services. Then after a few treatments in Fall/Winter 2019 I noticed the services weren't working and asked on February 12 how much refundable credit for services was left if I wanted to get a refund. They said 3 Clear+Brilliant ($897) and 2 Fire+Ice ($92.66) which totaled a $989.66 balance. At the time, Raquel again confirmed that $989.66 balance could be refunded. Now due to COVID-19 there offices were closed so I requested a refund on April 24 via email. This time though LaserAway corporate (***) apologized and was pleasant but denied my request for a refund over email. I then spoke again with her today May 7 and she was not willing to refund. So I was sold what I was verbally told was a risk free, refundable prepaid service (baited) and the contract (switch) says I can only receive a credit for services. It just took actually asking corporate (not the local office salespeople or manager) to see how this is the classic bait and switch. They didn't write anything over email - simply verbal confirmations prior to payment (May ), after 1 month (June ), and then after 8 months (Feb 2020). Mind you, the "contract" signed was digital and 100s of pages long - if the expectation is for customers to read through 100s of pages of legalese prior to an appointment their own check in process contradicts that. They should create a reading room and request they come 2 hours before treatment (not 20 minutes) or put in a system to review the contract online prior to arriving (rather than read hours long on small iPad during checkin). Clearly LaserAway intent and expectation is for customers to do little to no review of the contract. Hundreds of similar complaints on Complaintsboard.com and trustpilot. Their practices certainly seem to violate California consumer protection laws (B&P XXXXX, CC 1770(a)(9)(a)(10), 16 CFR Part 238).

Right before Covid, I purchased a promo package on a laser service. Because I relocated to another state and I was out of proximity to receive treatments, I was told that all packages do not expire. I also received an email from an Employee on October 2 outlining all of the packages I purchased, in my efforts to request such documentation to preserve what I bought. Fast forward to now and after numerous attempts to have someone help me, I am being told that half of what I bought is not in my account and that they will not acknowledge the email that I received from a previous employee for packages I purchased. I asked if they could put me in contact with Corporate or a person that handles this and they stated, "No, it doesn't work like that, we don't do that and you dont have that package." I contacted my credit card company for statements from 2020 and it is clearly documented that a package was indeed purchased but obviously to no avail. Can someone please help me? I thought this company had integrity and I was excited to find them initially but I'm losing faith. The charge is for $673.65 and not in my LaserAway account -- but the charge shows in my credit card statement. I know there was a lot of stealing going on with previous employees at the location i purchased it at around that time and people were fired for a credit card scam and now I'm wondering if that is what happened to me.

On February 4, 2022, I purchased several services from a representative over the phone. The services offered to me were too aggressive, which resulted in an adverse reaction. I consulted with a medical professional who provided me with temporary solutions. At that point, I requested a refund since it was clear the treatments were not suitable for me. I made several calls to ask for my money back but was repeatedly informed that my case would be escalated to management, yet I received no resolution. I attempted to reach out to the representative who assured me she could process my refund but needed to escalate the case. To this day, I have not received a callback, let alone a refund.

On August 14, LaserAway contacted me with a promotional offer. The representative informed me that a significant discount was available and that the total cost for their service would be $988. I expressed my discomfort with using credit cards online and stated my preference to pay the full amount in person at the spa. The representative confirmed that $988 would be my complete payment. They required me to sign a document to proceed with the service, which had to be done online as it was not available at the center. I was under the impression that this covered eight sessions for both me and my daughter, with the total charge being $988. After completing one session, I was surprised to receive a loan payment invoice in the mail from a third-party company that LaserAway had engaged, demanding the first installment of a $6500 financed amount. I was taken aback and immediately contacted the LaserAway representative I had originally spoken to. She claimed that this financing arrangement had been discussed during our initial call and that I had agreed to it by signing the contract. I felt deceived as this was never clearly communicated to me. I had believed that signing the contract was simply a formality to receive the service, and I had not been informed about a 24-month installment plan totaling $6500, in addition to the $988 payment. Terms such as 'out-of-pocket' and '$6500 finance' were never mentioned during our conversation. They are now insisting that the contract cannot be canceled and that I am obligated to fulfill the payment terms. I am seeking assistance to nullify this contract without it affecting my credit score. I feel that I was deliberately misled, and my daughter can corroborate the details of the initial call. I am reaching out for support and am willing to provide any further information needed.

I continue to be ignored by LaserAway corporate after requesting to resolve my issue six times in the last month. I spoke with a representative, and requested to speak with a supervisor or the manager of Hillcrest but nobody responds. I have been going to this clinic for about 15 months for Botox and Clear and Brilliant Treatments - all of which were professional and produced great results until my most recent experience. The Nurse Practitioner did not seem experienced and my forehead looked horrific and asymmetrical. Never in over six years have I had a result like this and was understandably frustrated. I tried to get it fixed a week later but had to wait two weeks post treatment. It looks slightly better but still pretty awful, so now I will have to wait three months to look normal again.

I had purchased a large bank of Botox units and asked to have them transferred to Clear and Brilliant credits. I was told I would have to pay $600 (when I buy packages and pay $380 per session) so my remaining balance wouldn't even cover two more treatments. I had to submit two requests to talk to management and finally spoke with someone at corporate today who yelled at me and was exceptionally rude. He told me he could refund half my balance (forcing me to pay $15 a unit instead of the $9 that I got from buying a package) or issue me a credit, which I am fine with but he also quoted me $100 less than I was told last weekend. I cannot understand how this is legal and why this clinic was awarded a Black Diamond award but I guess I will have to take further action if corporate doesn't amend the situation - I have submitted yet another request to speak to someone professional. Imagine having to walk around with a bad Botox job and then spend considerable time and energy to deal with the credits you've already purchased. I still have two Clear and Brilliant treatments left there too. I have never been subjected to such awful service and lack of accountability. Truly disappointing and unethical.

LaserAway Medical Group I requested a refund for a credit on my account for services I will not use

I requested a refund for a credit on my account for services I will not use. They agreed but I have been waiting 8 months & have not received a dime. In December my face and neck were severely damaged and scarred during a Clear & Brilliance treatment. I informed the staff of Laser Away of the issue. After many months I contacted *** (July ) at Laser Away to discuss a refund for my remaining services or a switch in service. I received an email response on August 7. After going back and forth via phone and email we finally connected in November . After AGAIN going back and forth for weeks she agreed on December 7 to send a refund check for the remaining 4 treatments. She said that the check will take 30-days to arrive. After seven weeks of waiting I contacted *** on January 26,2020 to inquire about the refund. She said that the check was mailed to the wrong address, even though she had confirmed my address in our December email. She said that a new check will be issued and mailed out (January 26,2020). On February 1 *** sent me an email to inform me that my account "is in a pending status" and she would need to investigate further. After AGAIN going back and forth for weeks, *** informed me on February 20,2020 that Laser Away will reissue the refund check. On February 29 *** of Laser Away sent me an email to inform me that *** was on maternity leave and that she would be handling my refund moving forward. In the email she asked for "additional" information, such as home address and last 4 digits of SS, so she could finalize this process. This is the same information I gave *** almost 3 months prior on December 7. Obviously, they had no intentions of sending me a refund check and had been disingenuous all along. In addition, during a phone conversation *** quoted me a refund amount much lower than the amount that Laser Away owed to me. *** spoke with her manager and due to the damage done to my skin from the service and the numerous issues with the refund check, they decided to increase the refund amount to $***. At my request, she sent the details in an email on March 4 so I could have record of it. Since then, I have not received a check for the amount owed to me and have corresponded with *** via email regarding the matter on March 5, April 16, April 27 and May 22. I have allowed ALL of the excuses and have been more than patience. In addition, after scrutinizing my original receipt I see that I was billed for the "complimentary promotional" skin care item $229 that I DID NOT WANT OR ASK FOR. I should NOT be billed for this item. The business practices at Laser Away are illegal and immoral at best. At the very least I should receive a refund for the 4 remaining treatments totaling $*** and the complimentary/promotional item $229 I was billed for. My refund should be at minimum $***.

Hi, I called to inquire about the laser procedure. I was under the impression that I could obtain the procedure at a competitive price. As of now, no services have been provided, and I have decided against undergoing this procedure. The facility, however, is treating the situation as if it were inescapable. Given that no services have been rendered, any funds that were transferred to them should be returnable to the financier within a 30-day period. After discussing with my parents, it's clear that I was unaware of the commitment I was entering into, as I have never applied for anything similar before. I feel taken advantage of and I am requesting the cancellation of the entire planned procedure. I am considering contacting the media, as I was oblivious to the terms and they are unwilling to cancel a service I have not yet received.

So here's the issue, there was some sort of promotion or sale happening around February this year for LaserAway and since I didn't have all of the money up front, the worker that was speaking with me, ***, told me about the refinancing promo. So I agreed and that was that. Now, I get to LA and schedule 2 appointments out of the 8 and then unforeseen life events happened and I was unable to continue with the treatments. Now I don't mind having to pay for the two sessions I took, I understand that and that's fair. My problem lies in that I still owe money for 8 sessions to Ally Lending that I shouldn't have to pay for because those services weren't rendered to me in full. It's affecting my credit and that's not okay. I will be reaching out the Ally Lending about this as well because at this point it looks as if Laseraway is taking advantage of this and has money for services I didn't receive and no longer want or need to receive. I want a refund issued to Ally Lending for the 6 sessions I did not utilize in my package, and I will still owe for the two sessions I did use. I think that's fair. Thanks

On 10/3/2022 I started a request for information from LaserAway on their website and entered in my email and phone number. I did not even submit the request when 15 minutes later I received a text, a phone call, a calendar invite. Over the next 24 hours I have received over 20 harassing emails, texts, phone calls from LaserAway. I have been blocking these numbers and new numbers then appear. The customer privacy policy on the website has an email address that I have tried emailing two times and there is bounce back saying the account has been closed. I would like to remove my information and stop being harassed by this company but there is no way to opt out or to stop receiving calls or messages. Their practices are not in line with current privacy policies listed on their website

LaserAway Medical Group Complaint of Being Overcharged for Services, Pressured into Purchasing with them, and not being allowed to cancel the loan before receiving

Complaint of Being Overcharged for Services, Pressured into Purchasing with them, and not being allowed to cancel the loan before receiving services I received a phone call from the *** at the company. I felt pressured into paying for these overcharged services- laser hair removal in 4 areas on the body. *** said that originally the total cost of the services would be around $***. Nowhere have I ever heard of or seen a company charge these outrageous prices for these services. Claiming that they are the best out of them all although that they can't guarantee that the service will work 100%. First of all, there is no where that these prices are listed. She said that she could do some sort of a discount where it would be around $*** financed over two years for all 4 of the areas. I still wasn't convinced yet because I knew that was a lot of money. When I tried to say I'll think about it, the lady was asking me many personal questions that I shouldn't have to explain to anyone why I didn't want to go through with it. I didn't really have anytime to think but she said that this will be worth it and no other place will do the same service as great as theirs. While on the phone she made me sign up for an account with LaserAway as well as for the financing credit check. I didn't have time to really think about what I was getting myself into but I gave in thinking that the $150 a month wouldn't do too much harm. I knew I could probably get it somewhere else for less, but I didn't spend much time researching. I signed the financing agreement that I would pay the loan off in 2 years with 0%. I just felt really pressured at the time. A couple days passed and I thought about this incredibly large purchase I just made and regretted it. I didn't even get to see the prices or anything just a phone call with a salesy lady. I tried to call the financing company and cancel with them first, they said to call LaserAway because it's up to them and their cancelation policy. I tried to cancel with the lady explaining that the value that I was getting for the price wasn't worth it. She told me I couldn't cancel the services even though I hadn't received anything yet. She said that the financing company had already paid LaserAway so they can't cancel the loan. I asked her if there is anything she could do to make it u since I felt scammed of my money. She offered two more small areas on my body and I said that's fine because I had no other option at this point. This purchase happened back in November and I still believe I'm being overcharged for these services and not getting the value I should be receiving for what I'm paying. I don't know where this company is coming up with these prices, saying originally it would cost around $***-$*** to laser these areas on my body and that I'm getting a good deal with it only costing $*** - that's outrageous. If there is any way that I could pay around $*** total I would be more satisfied because that is about how much something like this should cost.

On August 23, 2022, I paid approximately $1200 for a package of six laser treatments at Laser Away. They assured me that the laser would diminish spots and sun damage on my face, as I was an ideal candidate for the IPL laser. My first treatment occurred on August 23, yet it yielded no results due to ineffective settings for my skin type. I was utterly disappointed. A few days later, I reached out and was informed that someone from corporate would contact me within two days. Despite calling eight times, I received no response from corporate. On September 14, I visited the business in person, and they issued a partial refund of $730.30, retaining more than $450 for the single, unsuccessful procedure. The customer service representative dodged my complaints. It's clear to me now that they are promoting dubious treatments and guaranteeing false outcomes. The necessity for me to call multiple times and eventually address my refund concerns in person speaks volumes about their business ethics. Moreover, they purportedly offer discounts for positive, yet potentially insincere, reviews, which is another serious concern. In my opinion, they are misleading customers and promising unrealistic results. I find it outrageous to charge $450 for a single session of a laser treatment that has no effect on my skin.

I scheduled to have coolsculpting for my flanks and outer thighs which was confirmed not just once but a few times. I financed $2,250 and when I arrived, they said they couldn't do the outer thighs. I explained that this is what I was told I signed up for, and then they said I had to choose another area. I insisted on getting what I paid for and was approved for. They offered to have someone come in and explain it to me. I left with only half of what I wanted. I have been trying to get a hold of the company. The representative has given me the run around multiple times and keeps changing her story of why I didn't get what I was already approved for. I called another representative for 2 months and finally got through. He also claims that he doesn't have a boss and hung up on me. This company is a complete scam to take advantage of people and to take their money! Sadly, I found out after the fact how many people have been ripped off by them. I have read tons of stories like mine already and some even worse. I am truly disappointed and disgusted with Laseraway.

I signed up for a 10 treatment plan for a laser tattoo removal. It's been well over a month that I've been trying to cancel the ten sessions and bring it down to the one session plan. Every time I call I get the same response, that the only one employee in the company that can help me is out of the office for a few days. They've been telling me this for weeks and she never comes in or gets back to me even with numerous emails being sent to her regarding the matter. I called two weeks ago and was very upset and so they claimed that they cancelled the payments or something with the payment company varidi but it's been two weeks and that company has no clue of any of this and doesn't see anything on their end that's been changed. They didn't give me any info and said I need to call Laseraway who once again said the only one person who can help is out of the office for a few days and to call back if I don't get a call back by Friday. That's what they did before and it took a month and me losing my temper for them to care enough to even give me a call back. As of right now it'll be two months very soon and I still have no clue what is happening and I'm still being charged. This is fraud.

LaserAway specializes in laser-based body hair removal. I invested in 8 sessions with the expectation of eliminating at least 85% of my body hair. By the time of the eighth session, the technician observed that the anticipated results had not been achieved and suggested that I would benefit from 3 extra complimentary sessions to meet the 85% reduction target. Documentation of the session's outcome was captured in photographs and forwarded to the appropriate department for evaluation.

Subsequently, I reached out to the manager with whom I had originally signed the contract, using email as our mode of communication. I complied with her request for additional photographic evidence. After a period of deliberation, she informed me of the approval for the 3 complimentary sessions. In a gesture of goodwill, I also decided to purchase 3 more sessions, bringing the total to 6 additional sessions. To date, I have utilized 2 of the 6 sessions.

However, I recently discovered that the company has retracted their offer of the 3 complimentary sessions that were promised in our email correspondence. During a phone conversation with a representative at the corporate office, I encountered a lack of professionalism and cooperation. The representative dismissed the previous agreement as a mistake, refusing to honor the complimentary sessions and attributing the lack of results to my body's response to the treatment.

In March, I had paid $1,752.30 for the 3 additional sessions under the impression that the 3 complimentary sessions were confirmed. The email exchanges from that time clearly show that the manager had sought approval from the regional director. The final go-ahead was received in early April, with all communications thoroughly documented.

LaserAway Medical Group I would like a full refund of service that did not work and information by property manger was withheld where I was not given my patient rights

I would like a full refund of service that did not work and information by property manger was withheld where I was not given my patient rights. I'm a requesting full refund for services provided by Laser Away at XXXXX *** XXXXX. The following reasons I'm filling against the company. 1. ***, property manager made faulty, improper and inaccurate information on my services that I paid for. 2. ***, From corporate office. Said***, was supposed to give me options helping me utilizing my money/services that I was unhappy with but never did. Refund of *** is being Requested for services. I paid for laser hair removal for chin, lip, areolas, underarms, Brazilian, bilateral legs. I spoke to*** after my second service and told her my hair removal was not working and that I wanted to end my treatment. She said "It was too soon to know if the laser treatment is working you really need to just keep coming in until about the 6th or 8th session to know it its working." The next appointment I told*** again that I wanted to end my service that the treatment isn't working in any of the areas and it was very painful.*** insisted that I follow through with the rest of the treatments that I wouldn't have anything to lose that I already started why not finish. The next treatment I spoke to*** again about my hair removal wasn't working but had interest in doing cool sculpting. She wanted me to sign up for additional cool sculpting package. I told her no that because the laser hair removal wasn't working that I wasn't going to sign up for anything until I get at least half the advertised results. The next time*** was not in the office however I talked to the lady at the desk and expressed my concerns, she said she would leave a note for*** to reach out to me.*** never called. I tired calling for multiple days but*** was never available. I did one more service because I was told by*** I needed to get to service 6-8 to really know if it was working. I just want them to refund the total amount including interest accrued. To the company in question, the product was not as described by the call center agent, it was a complete lie. I had thermage on June 1, and I was told by that agent that I would walk out very happy with the procedure, and in 3 weeks I would see a 90% improvement. Unfortunately, I didn't even see a 5% improvement. Plus, it was a package costing $2700.00, which was supposed to include a total of 2 treatments. However, it wasn't 2 treatments; they ended up switching to one half face and offered the forehead for free. And that's not what I was told over the phone. I'm very frustrated by all these lies. I only want them to close the loan with a $0.00 balance. On top of all this dissatisfaction, I ended up having to undergo a different procedure elsewhere to tighten the loose, worsened skin left by the procedure done with LaserAway. I'm not a wealthy person to be wasting money to fix someone else's mess. Please help me.

I was told that I would not be charged any interest fees. On my first bill I was charged interest fees. I called the lending company which laser away use ally lending. I was told lies based on being charged interest fees. I only had treatment from LaserAway 2 times I canceled all other appointments. So I called just to get a consultation. The biggest mistake of my life. These people end up calling you, texting you, calling you, all day long like a boyfriend that won't go away. They are the most annoying and aggressive sales people I have ever come in encountered... similar to a timeshare presentation person. Beware do not ask for a free consultation they will harass you all day long. And then when you ask them to please leave you alone. I had one girl that tell me to see a therapist.? Her name was renate with a 520 area code.. Horrible human being... horrible business do yourself a favor don't bother with these sharks..***...this was this sales person full number

LaserAway Medical Group The clinic and their partner promised me a refund in June for the untreated hair removal treatments and have not yet refunded me

The clinic and their partner promised me a refund in June for the untreated 5 hair removal treatments and have not yet given me back my money. It's been 7 months already and I am still waiting for my refund to get processed in my GreenSky account. I have been persistently going back and forth with the clinic and GreenSky to no avail. I met the salesperson back in October last year just to get a consultation and she sold me the hair removal package. I came to realize this is very overpriced with no transparent pricing. I only got treated for 3 sessions and then the clinic closed down for three months due to COVID. So far, I've only gone to 3 treatments with no reduction in hair growth. I simply wanted my money back for unrendered services. In May , I called customer service and they said once the office opened they would issue a refund. The clinic finally opened in June so I called and emailed for a response to my refund. Attached is an email I sent to the salesperson since she mentioned they will charge per service and not my package price. After that, I never heard back from her so I got a hold of another representative who said the same thing. With COVID ongoing and no successful hair reduction, I want my money back. She directed me to another contact to calculate the per service refund and to process it on my account in June. They could only give me back a credit to my GreenSky account - I accepted it because I won't be coming back. Till this day, there's no refund on my account for unrendered services! They said they processed my refund and GreenSky is saying it's not processed. After a while, they mentioned that the clinic will issue a check if it's not going through and to wait 3 weeks to see if that happens with their legal department. That didn't happen either! Then they're saying they can't process it because it's been over a year. I feel like I have been lied to and this is incredibly unethical. I also found out that a lady whom I never met before, lied to GreenSky, saying that services were rendered and no refund is due. I had addressed this a few weeks ago when I found out. As of today, I still have not received a refund check nor a credit to my GreenSky account balance. I would like my money back asap. Thank you.

LaserAway Medical Group I've been treated at LA for years

I've been treated at LA for years. They recently decided to refuse service, separate me as a patient and will not communicate with me. On 2/22 I had an appointment for laser hair removal on my face and bikini area. On 2/20 I had gone to the Castro SF location to have my full legs done. I split the appointments and drove because it's so difficult to get appts at LA at all. I mentioned to the nurse on Monday how I didn't feel any effect from Sat. She told me that the laser strength had been turned down because I am tan. I wasn't told that at the time of my appt. I would have declined treatment because it's not effective. And actually, I'm not that tan. I'm less tan than the last time my legs were laser treated. At that time, I had been in Palm Springs shortly before and was baking in the sun. This time, I've been in the Caribbean, but I was there for a long time and was very careful about how much sun I took in. I've also been back for 3 weeks and have taken photos of my nearly non-existent tan line. I'm just naturally an olive colored person and these nurses didn't know me. Back to my Monday appt and finding out I wasted a treatment on Saturday on a weakened laser. The nurse that treated me on Monday treated my bikini area then started to shuffle me out of the room. I said what about my face. She said you're too tan. My face is not tan at all. This is just the color of my face. I was very protective of my face while in the Caribbean. Layers of sunscreen every day, hats, etc. I asked the nurse to leave the room because I was angry and wanted to get dressed. It's always something with this place. You either can't get suitable appt times, they're turning down the laser or just refusing treatment. I went out in to the front and was trying to convince them that this was the last straw and I need to speak with somebody at corporate. It's a week later and I'm still waiting to have that conversation. As I was angry I dropped an *** and the nurse threatened to call the police. At that point I never had any interest in going back to this business again. You don't threaten to call the police for frivolous reasons. I've been waiting for a phone call from their corporate ever since. I got a threatening email from their legal department, which didn't scare me at all because I've done nothing wrong. I've been trying to get my records and literally nobody will pick up the phone and call me. I need to find out if my HIPAA rights are being violated next. GreenSky, the credit agency they work with, is also working with them and they said they may be able to get me my medical records. This scam business is so insane. I went to the location to try to get my records and was speaking to the nurse that usually treats me. She stated that she would have treated me, no problem. She said the other nurses just HEARD I was in the Caribbean and adjusted their behavior accordingly. This is just the color my skin is so if they can't treat this color of skin then we need to come to resolution. And there's the part about threatening police. The lawyer then wrote to me about how I continue to show up and am harassing patients. I assure you, I never spoke to another patient and I showed up the 1 time because I can't get anyone to resolve my problem. They had called mall security for whatever reason and he only ever observed, gave me a thumbs up and said good job as I walked away. My only mistake was doing business with this sham of a company. I've had problems with them for a long time.

LaserAway Medical Group Refusal to refund a long-standing customer for nearly *** in botox units that I cannot use after issue with last appointment

Refusal to refund a long-standing customer for nearly *** in botox units that I cannot use after issue with last appointment. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. I have been a loyal customer for nearly 10 years. I recently purchased a *** bank of pre-paid botox units. I came in for botox before thanksgiving. The injections intended for my crow's feet created unnatural, pronounced dimples on the TOPS of my cheeks - not a place I (or most people) have dimples. I sent *** a photo, and the front desk person acknowledged immediately that the "dimples" from the botox were visible. I came in to speak with the nurse, and she acknowledged that sometimes the botox can spread like that, the way it had to create dimples on the tops of my cheeks. She took photos of the dimples to place in my file. I requested a refund for the last treatment that created the dimples (which I now must endure through the holidays), and for the remainder of the *** in prepaid botox units that I recently purchased, as I am no longer comfortable coming back to *** for botox. How could I be? Customer service REFUSED to refund me. Even worse, they have repeatedly insisted that my cheeks naturally have dimples like this to avoid having to give me a refund! I sent them 3 pictures - 2 that show the way my cheeks naturally look (without dimples), and 1 that shows the way the looked after the last appointment (with dimples). The customer service agent did not respond to me for nearly two weeks before stating that picture number 3, the "after" picture, shows that my cheeks have had dimples, and the other two pictures are "too blurry" to tell. So, she is unable to do anything to help me. She also mentioned dimples visible in pictures in my file from December, the pictures taken by the nurse AFTER the at-issue treatment. I explained to her that I have looked at myself in the mirror for decades and I know that these pronounced top-of-cheek dimples appeared as a result of my latest (Nov 2020) botox treatment. Every person I know can see it; even the front desk girl and nurse who I saw at *** when I came in to discuss the dimples. All I am asking for is a simple refund, given the circumstances. But as if it's not bad enough that they continue to insult me by telling me that my cheeks naturally have these unnatural dimples, they are refusing to provide that simple refund, even though I cannot use the nearly *** in pre-paid botox units as a result of this situation. I have tried repeatedly to work this out with them (it's been much more difficult than it should have been) and they have now stopped responding. I AM APPAULED. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT ***. I am disappointed and shocked at how horrible I've been treated with this situation, especially considering that this resulted from their treatment and all I am asking is for a simple refund (not any more severe action against them). And even if we disagree on the cause of the dimples-which is UNBELIEVABLE to me- I am a long-term customer who has referred many people to them in the past who is saying that I am not comfortable using the nearly *** worth of credits I recently purchased in light of recent events. The fact that they won't even consider refunding me for the credits I am no longer comfortable using as a result of whatever happened at the last treatment is ASTOUNDING. I have never filed a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com, but this company has left me no choice. Other people deserve to be warned, and I will make sure I spread the word if this continues to not be remedied.

LaserAway Medical Group Laser Away El Toro will not refund me for ineffective services Laser Away El Toro told me I would be the perfect client with very light skin and

Laser Away El Toro will not refund me for ineffective services Laser Away El Toro told me I would be the perfect client with very light skin and dark hair, and promised 90% hair removal by treatment 8. I purchased "6 treatments, 2 free." They said if I went with a competitor, they did not have as good a laser, and I would not get the same results. I decided to go with Laser Away. I had 4 treatments total, and I told them after each session I was not seeing any results. After my third session, I told them I wanted a refund because I was not seeing any results whatsoever. They said to come in for a hair growth assessment to see what they could do for me. At first they said they could give me free additional sessions until I achieved 80-90% hair removal, and then transferred me to another lady who said they might be able to give me free sessions if I didn't achieve 70%. Then told me maybe no free additional sessions at all, and its normal for it to not work to 80% and that I would have to just pay for more sessions. Then told me I should just keep coming because it should start working at my next session. They tried to tell me that I was not getting results because my scheduling was not consistent...however that is how they scheduled me. My first appointment they said come in and get brazillian and underarm and we'll schedule you another date for the rest. I said I only want to come in once and get everything done at once, not multiple times a month. They said okay for your next appointment we'll schedule everything together (which is where so much time elapsed). I asked if this time lapse would affect my treatment. They said no it will not. I said why would I keep coming if you just keep saying its going to work, but it clearly hasn't? She then proceeded to tell me, "can you just not afford it? Because I don't know what else to tell you." I found this to be extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Every session they said I would start to see results at the next session. This was not true at all. After my hair assessment (after the 3rd tx) I said I had no hair removal whatsoever, to which the nurse agreed with me. The nurse told me she would turn up the laser and it should work this time and encouraged me to do the 4th apt. They also said that they would send my complaint to their customer service team to follow up with me. I followed through with session 4, as they said turning up the laser would work for me. It has not worked. My fourth tx was Feb 14, 2020. Still did not hear from customer service, so i followed up March 9th. Lady at Laser Away told me no one send the complaint, and that ***, "their customer team," would follow up with me in 24-48 hours. They never did. So I called again and asked to speak to ***, and they said they would have her contact me. I let her know all of these events on March 12 when I finally heard from her, and she basically told me she could give me a different treatment, or give me 3 additional free laser treatments since my first 3 did not work. I said no I want a full refund because your services are not working as promised... She said no we can't give you a full refund of $***, only about $***. Why would I pay 2/3rds of the full amount when I only received half of the treatments, and did not get 2/3rds hair removal results? Why is it that she is willing to give me 3 free services at the back end, but cannot refund me 3 services on the front end? It is a scam and their staff are not professionally trained to make the best decisions for the best results for their clients. I would like a full refund considering the lack of results for products offered.
