Lenovo Lenovo Customer Service: A Terrible Experience with a Robber Company

Lenovo (or Lenovo customer service) is a company that I had a terrible experience with. Around 9 months ago, I decided to purchase a Lenovo idealpad online with split payments from 1) a gift card from Lenovo and 2) a credit card. The very next day, I saw that the online price had dropped by $200. I decided to cancel my order and repurchase it at the lower price. When I tried to cancel, the website showed a very friendly message that said "we will match you the price difference?" (I should have known better than to trust this!) I called Lenovo and got the same answer, "the matching REFUND will go back to my original purchasing credit card." I trusted Lenovo at that time, but unfortunately, I did not see the matched refund within the next several weeks on my credit card. I called Lenovo again and was told that the refund was sent to my gift card (which was issued by Lenovo). The problem was that I didn't have the gift card information, which meant that the refund was blind to me. I called Lenovo again and again, and eventually, a manager made that refund as rewards points to my online rewards account (they did not want to refund to my credit card). I thought that the rewards points were my money and that I would be able to use them later. However, 6 months later, the rewards $200 had totally disappeared. I was very sad and spent a lot of time talking to customer service back and forth many times, including their manager, but eventually, the answer was "they can apply the $200 points to a new purchase next time, and they can only apply rewards points for machines, PCs, and desktop computers, and the rewards will apply 30 days from the invoice date?" Do I trust these guys? They want to cheat me to buy more Lenovo, and who knows what will happen next. Lenovo is a robber.

Lenovo Lenovo Laptop Hinge Failure: No Warranty Coverage for Manufacturing Defects

I bought a Lenovo laptop (Flex 5 15.6" 2-in-1 Touchscreen Laptop ? 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 - GeForce MX450 - 4K) from Costco on July 26,2022. I didn't get an extended warranty because I thought it would be a waste of money. However, on Jan. 12,2023, when I opened the laptop to use it, the plastic holding the hinge screws shattered, and the hinge pulled out on one side. The other side was also cracked but had not completely failed yet. I was surprised because I had only used the laptop lightly and had not dropped or abused it in any way.

I took the laptop to a Best Buy technician for an assessment, and he believed it to be a manufacturing defect or poor design. He estimated that the screen and hinge would have to be replaced by a Lenovo technician, with parts alone costing at least $400. I contacted Lenovo regarding the warranty since it was within 12 months of purchase. However, I was informed that the basic warranty I had did not cover any physical damage whatsoever, regardless of whether it was due to a manufacturing defect or user damage.

I was disappointed to hear this because I thought that Lenovo would take responsibility for their design or manufacturing defect. However, they didn't offer any assistance other than a billable repair for a machine that failed due to their design or manufacturing defect. I felt like the machine I bought was trash less than 12 months after purchase, and instead of repairing it, I would be better off putting the money toward a better quality one from another manufacturer.

I would never recommend Lenovo or purchase anything from them again. It's incomprehensible to me that they wouldn't offer any assistance other than a billable repair for a machine that failed due to their design or manufacturing defect. I think that Lenovo should take responsibility for their design or manufacturing defect and offer some assistance to their customers.

Lenovo Lenovo's Customer Service is a Joke - Terrible Experience with Price Match

Lenovo is a great place to buy computers, but their customer service is a joke. I had a terrible experience with them when I tried to get a price match processed. I spent about 2 hours on the phone with them, and still couldn't get it processed. The first 5 minutes of the call were difficult because several other people were yelling on their end of the phone about something else. It was such a bad experience that I'm returning the two laptops I ordered from them.

I was hoping to save them money and the world gas from having to return the item they sent me and have a new one come at a lower price. They advertise a simple 30 day price match and protection, but I'm convinced they put low skilled employees in place to process it to limit people using that protection. I called them, but I was talking or waiting for 2 hours without any resolution in sight. I was on hold for 5-10 times over the next 50-60 minutes, rarely ever properly communicating what she was doing. Eventually, I had to hang up on the CS person after waiting 40 minutes to talk to them and a Jyoti Sharma putting me on hold.

I'm shocked to read reviews saying the sales experience was solid. If how they operated with me on a non-tech issue is indicative, I would 100% believe the torrid comments people say about their inability to address real customer service issues. I hope they can improve their customer service so that people can have a better experience with them.

Lenovo Lenovo's Customer Service Practices: A Cautionary Tale

I recently had an experience with Lenovo that has left me feeling quite disappointed. I have been a loyal customer of theirs for some time now, but after this last encounter, I am not sure if I can trust them again. The issue was not with the product itself, but rather with their customer service. I found that each time I spoke with someone, I was given a different story, and some of the emails I received were quite aggressive in nature.

I had purchased a desktop from the UK site, and paid the VAT as it was clearly itemised on the bill. However, I was surprised to find out that it was being shipped from the Netherlands, and I had to pay import tax to UPS. This was not mentioned on their website, and I was quite frustrated by this. When I contacted Lenovo, they told me it was an error by UPS and that they would sort it out. A week later, they told me that it was still an error by UPS, but if I paid the tax, they would sort it out and refund me.

I then requested that the order be cancelled, and was told that it had been cancelled and that the refund would be in my account within 5-7 days. However, when I checked my account, there was no refund. When I contacted Lenovo again, they told me that the order had not been cancelled, but rather a request to cancel had been submitted. They had decided not to cancel the order without informing me, and were still arguing with UPS.

At this point, I contacted my bank, and they said they would deal with Lenovo and get me my refund. Suddenly, two days later, Lenovo told me that they had sorted out the issue with UPS, and that my desktop would be delivered. I had already ordered another desktop assuming that the first one had been cancelled. Lenovo told me that they could not cancel the order, and I was quite frustrated by this.

I then contacted UPS and told them to return the desktop to sender, as I would not accept it. Lenovo then told me that it had been returned to them, and asked if they could arrange a redelivery. Finally, they told me that I could have my refund, but only if I stopped my complaint with the bank, as the bank would not accept the refund while my complaint was in place. I was quite upset by this, and felt like they were trying to bully me into accepting their terms.

In the end, I was able to get my refund without removing my complaint with the bank, but it was a frustrating and stressful experience. I would caution anyone considering purchasing from Lenovo to be aware of their customer service practices, and to proceed with caution.

Lenovo Lenovo Laptops: A Waste of Money and Time - A Review

I recently bought two laptops from Lenovo in 2021. One of them was a ThinkPad T14 with top-notch specs, which I technically ordered in 2020 but didn't receive until 2021. The other was an IdeaPad 5 with decent specs.

At first, I was excited to use the T14, but I quickly grew to hate it. Despite having incredible specs, it didn't perform nearly as well as the IdeaPad 5. To make matters worse, the T14 started overheating so badly that the fan often didn't come on, and when it did, it made an unbearable noise. This made it impossible to have video chats or calls, and people couldn't sleep with it on. I was lucky enough to put in a ticket just before the warranty expired, but I'm not sure if it will be honored due to mail delays. If they don't fix it, it will only be a matter of time before it becomes a useless brick. It's unacceptable for a laptop that costs over $1000 (I paid almost $1500 with a Black Friday sale) to become an overheated, noisy brick within a year.

The IdeaPad 5 was okay for the specs, but it also got hot and didn't cool down well. However, since it had a wider base and a thinner body, I could keep it from overheating. Unfortunately, after the warranty expired, a piece fell off the screen on the bottom, and I couldn't get it back on. Over the course of a week, the screen began to pull away from the body, even though I was very careful. Today, the screen connections literally fell apart from the body. I don't have another laptop, and I can't afford to get it repaired since the Lenovo warranty is out. I gave Lenovo all the money I had, and now I have a useless piece of junk.

I've bought many laptops in my life, including used ones from pawn shops. While I've had laptops that I both love and hate, I've never had one literally fall apart in my hands. This thing is actually falling apart, and I have to prop the screen up against a box of soymilk or other things just to keep it together. Soon, it will be completely useless.

In conclusion, I will never buy from Lenovo again, and I strongly recommend that you don't either unless you enjoy throwing your money away on disposable laptops.

Lenovo Lenovo Laptop Review: Unreliable Product and Poor Customer Service

I recently purchased a Lenovo laptop from their website in January of 2021. Unfortunately, I encountered several problems with the product almost immediately after receiving it. Within two weeks, the keyboard and trackpad driver software failed, which required me to reformat and reinstall the system. Since then, I have been experiencing ongoing issues with freezing and programs quitting or not responding. Additionally, some of the hotkey features could not be deactivated, which has been disruptive to my workflow as I use the computer often. I believe that computers should be adaptable to user preferences, and I don't feel that Lenovo has done a good enough job with this.

Overall, I have encountered far too many issues for having just bought this computer. I purchased it to replace a 10-year-old MacBook, and I still find my old computer more efficient and functional than this new Lenovo laptop. I believe that Lenovo should have done a better job of ensuring that their products are reliable and user-friendly.

My next issue is with the company itself and the way it conducts business. I tried to troubleshoot and address issues on my own for a couple of months. I really tried to make it work for me, but in the end, I just ran into too many difficulties. So, I contacted Lenovo customer services to attempt to return the computer for a refund. I stated everything I have mentioned above and told them flatly that I do not have any confidence in their product. However, they put up a number of barriers, and I had to make several phone calls and waste hours of my time to even get a proper claim made. My case was escalated, and I waited a week to hear a response back. Unfortunately, because it landed outside of the 30-day return window, they told me that there was nothing that they could do. They refused to even consider giving a refund and were quite dismissive and rude about it. I feel like I was justified in wanting a refund and was extremely disappointed that they would not consider it.

From beginning to end, my experience has been one of frustration, from the issues I had with the computer to Lenovo's lack of integrity. I would advise against purchasing this product, and I certainly would not advise giving this company your business because they clearly do not care about their customers. Don't waste your time and hard-earned money with these people.

Lenovo Affordable and Reliable: A Review of the Lenovo H50 Desktop Computer

I was hesitant to share my thoughts on the Lenovo H50 desktop computer, as I am not an expert in this field. However, my wife and I needed a new computer for our home-based business, emailing, and watching videos. After our old 80-gig computer gave out, I began my search for a new one. I found that most computers online had too many features that we didn't need, or were too expensive. That's when I stumbled upon the Lenovo H50. It came with the new Windows 10 operating system and an Intel G3260 "Dual Core" processor. Although it wasn't the fastest computer out there, it was still much faster than our old one. It also had a 500gb hard drive, which was more than enough storage for us. The Lenovo H50 also came with a DVD player and burner, as well as a laser mouse and a user-friendly keyboard. The price of $239.00 with free shipping was unbeatable, so I decided to give it a try. The computer arrived quickly, and after three months of use, my wife and I are both impressed with its performance and ease of use.

I recently purchased a new 24" monitor and had the chance to test it out with the Lenovo H50 during the college football playoffs. The graphics were sharp, and the fast action scenes looked great. However, I did encounter some issues with older software programs that I had from the 1990s. Some of my business card and photo programs would not work with the Lenovo H50, and neither would my audio editing programs. Additionally, some of the pre-installed programs, such as Microsoft Word 2016, were only demo versions and required me to purchase the full versions if I wanted to keep them. While this was disappointing, I understand that this is a new computer, and I didn't expect it to be compatible with every obsolete software program in my personal collection.

I must say that Lenovo's customer service was exceptional. I called them on a Sunday evening to ask about the pre-installed rescue feature, and during the conversation, I mentioned that the H50 didn't come with a rescue device. They sent me one overnight, which was a pleasant surprise.

Overall, if you're looking for a basic desktop computer for everyday use, I highly recommend the Lenovo H50. It's affordable, user-friendly, and performs well. While it may not be compatible with every software program out there, it's still a great option for those who need a reliable computer for their daily tasks.

Lenovo Lenovo: Cheap, Unreliable, and Terrible Customer Service - DO NOT BUY!

I had a really bad experience with Lenovo. I purchased a computer from them about two years ago and within five months, it crashed. I paid for their online help, but they couldn't fix it, so I had to send it in. It took them a long time to address the issue, and then they couldn't fix the computer anyway, so they sent me a new one.

Recently, I snapped a small plastic piece where the power cord plugs into the computer. I took it to Geek Squad, and they said it would take about three weeks to fix. After three weeks, they called me and told me the repair would cost $700, which is more than I paid for the computer. I was shocked that a small plastic piece that connects the power cord could cost more than the computer itself. This should tell you what kind of company Lenovo is.

I agreed to pay the $700 to fix my computer. Another three weeks went by, and I called to check on the status. They told me it wasn't fixed yet. I went into Best Buy, and they said it still wasn't fixed. Another couple of weeks went by, and I called Best Buy again. They told me that Lenovo was now saying they don't have the part. They didn't even bother to tell me.

I called Lenovo, and I was on hold forever. Finally, I got a person, but they couldn't help me, so they transferred me. I was on hold again for a long time. Finally, I got another person, but they couldn't help me either. They gave me the number for Warranty.

I called Warranty, and I've been on hold for over 45 minutes. I'm still waiting to speak to someone. I'm so frustrated with this whole situation. The computer was never great, and it broke and was unrepairable twice within two years. It caused me so much time without a computer and wasted my time on hold. And now, a small, cheap but important part snapped, leading to expensive repairs.

At this point, I will likely have to just write Lenovo off and never buy another computer from them. Their products are cheap and unreliable, and they can't address the problems. They'll charge you to pretend like they can, though.

I'm going to go on every review site I can and let the world know: DO NOT BUY LENOVO!

Lenovo Lenovo Outlet Review: A Nightmare Experience - Do Not Buy From Them!

I was in dire need of a new laptop as the new school year was approaching and I needed something to get me through my remaining time in college. I searched for weeks for something in the mid-low range, nothing too fancy, just something that could get the job done. My parents had gifted me my last laptop as a graduation present, which was about 2 years old, so I knew I wanted a few upgrades. That's when I stumbled upon Lenovo's website and saw their outlet section. However, let me tell you, NEVER buy from their outlet.

I found a laptop that seemed too good to be true for only $350, with the same specs as other brands that were priced around $500-$600. It was listed as an open box and had a full year warranty like their new laptops. So, I ordered it on a late Friday night. I entered all my information and credit card details, but then it said error. I tried again, but got another error. I was frustrated as I had already experienced some other problems with the website, so I decided to do my business somewhere else. About 30 minutes later, I checked my email and saw that there were two orders for the same laptop, totaling over $725 with shipping. Needless to say, I called their 1800 number immediately, only to find out that they only have phone service Monday-Friday. So, I waited until Monday and called early in the morning, praying that they hadn't already shipped the laptop.

The first man who answered was very rude and yelled at me, saying that because it was from the outlet, there was nothing that could be done. He told me that I would have to let my bank process it, then pay a 15% restocking fee on the one that came back to them, even though it was the website's fault. He also said that the problem was mine and that there was no way it could have had an error. I hung up and called back, hoping for someone friendly. I waited on hold for over 2 hours! Finally, a nicer man answered, but told me the same thing. I then asked for his manager, who was a lovely lady who quickly canceled the order and promised that the bank would not be charged.

The laptop took over 2 weeks to get to my home, and when I received it, it was broken. Not just a little bit, but terribly broken. It would freeze every 2 minutes. I called customer support, and they had me run BIOS, but it froze during BIOS! The woman I spoke to was super nice and sounded like it happened all the time. She said that she wasn't going to make me go through the other 100 things it asked and that she would give me a number to ship it back for free. But then I had to call another number to get that number confirmed, so they would accept the delivery. I asked some basic questions, and the man who answered was really rude and made it seem like it was my fault as well. Without saying it, he called me a liar. He said that if I lied, then they would charge a 15% restocking fee and such. I asked if I could just get the laptop fixed, and they said that because it was from the outlet, they didn't fix them. I couldn't order another one, and I would have to try my luck with another untested product.

After using customer service, I found out that IBM Thinkpads have a different service and have heard wonderful things about them. So, if you're going to buy a Lenovo, buy a Thinkpad. But whatever you do, DO NOT USE THE OUTLET.

Lenovo Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 Review: Poor Customer Service and Long Repair Times

I'm here to share my experience with Lenovo, specifically with my Lenovo Ideapad flex 5 laptop. I purchased this laptop for around 580? and it worked perfectly for the first 6 months until it suddenly stopped working properly. The screen wouldn't turn on and I couldn't access BIOS or anything like that. I did some research and found out that many other customers were experiencing the same issue after a Windows update, which leads me to believe that this might be a factory defect.

I contacted Lenovo customer service on a Monday, but they tried to upsell me on an upgrade for my guarantee so that they could send a technician to my home to check my laptop before sending it in for repairs. I declined and opted for the standard guarantee, but they warned me that due to the pandemic, it might take longer than expected. They estimated that it would take 10 days for the repairs plus shipping times.

A few days after I sent my laptop in, I received an SMS message saying that my case had been cancelled. I called customer service and they had trouble finding my case, but eventually found it and assured me that everything was in order and that they had received my laptop. However, I later found out that my case had been duplicated in their system.

Over the next couple of weeks, I tried to remain patient and sent several emails asking about the status of my repair. One of the responses I received was along the lines of "I can't find your laptop, are you sure you sent it to us?". I called customer service multiple times and they assured me that my laptop was there and awaiting repairs, but they couldn't provide any more information or pass me on to a supervisor.

Three weeks after I sent my laptop in, I received an email saying that my laptop was about to be repaired but they were awaiting parts. I called again to ask how long this would take and they estimated that it would take one week for the parts to arrive and that I would have my laptop back by the following Friday, April 24th. However, that date came and went and my laptop still hadn't arrived.

When I called customer service on April 26th, they told me that they were still waiting for parts and that there was nothing they could do about it. They estimated that the parts would arrive by the following Friday, May 6th. I asked if there were any alternatives, but they couldn't pass me on to anyone with more responsibility in the company or provide an email for me to address a complaint. The only option they gave me was to leave feedback when the issue was resolved. I explained that I wanted a solution and didn't care about feedback forms, but they couldn't offer me a substitution laptop either.

On May 7th, I called again and was told that they were still waiting for parts. However, this time the person who answered the phone said that they could contact their colleagues and email me with further information. I received an email saying that they were still waiting for parts, which made me lose my temper. I wrote an unpleasant email expressing my dissatisfaction with the company and their treatment of customers. A few hours later, I received an email saying that the parts had arrived and that it wouldn't take long to repair my laptop.

As of May 8th, I have received an email saying that my laptop has been repaired and will be sent to me after passing a quality test. I will believe it when I see it. After this experience, I have decided to sell my laptop as second hand and never buy Lenovo again.

Lenovo Flex 5-15ITL05 Laptop (ideapad) - Type 82HT

The laptop is almost always left open on the desk, sometimes closed, and almost never rotated 360°. Upon opening the lid from a closed position to a standard position left hinge appears to have froze while the right hinge functioned properly breaking the area around the hing and the screen ripped. The laptop was not dropped nor was anything dropped on it. I have been extremely careful with it as it is a huge investment.

I need the laptop repaired for what is obviously a defective hinge. After extensive and exhaustive research regarding this hinge problem, it is obviously a defective design and I am hoping to have a clear and smooth and quick repair proceSS

Lenovo PF2TT1YN Serial number of computer

I purchased this computer for work and within a couple of months the computer keyboard stopped working. Since I live in Alaska I had to wait to fly to Washington to have a technician come out to fix it. It worked for maybe a couple months and then the same issue broke where the keyboard stopped working. Again I was in Alaska so I sent the laptop in. At this point it was such an unreliable computer that I bought another one. I just received the repair back from Lenovo two months ago and again the keyboard is broken and does not work. This is a faulty product. I would like a partial refund as I have never been able to use the computer as advertised

Claimed loss: $650 for the broken computer and $800 for the replacement computer I had to buy

Desired outcome: Partial refund

Lenovo Stolen Items PC never was fixed and deleted all my drivers for my AMD and Legions softwars

I had a PC Legion S7 16ARHA7 - Type 82UG sent for repair. I was not advised to remove any accessories. However, I asked if I could include some accessories on the phone. They said it shouldn't be a problem. They ended up stealing my accessories and never returned the items. They did not repair the PC. They just deleted all my drivers. I sent it back to get it fixed, but they do not know where it is. They did not know because they created two labels, and they lost track of the one they created for me. I called them and spoke to a supervisor, Employee ID 472118. She was horrible, did not want to help, lied, and said that they had my PC when she didn't care about my accessories because they lost it, and it was not their problem.

Claimed loss: $2,000

Desired outcome: My stuff back my keyboard cover and my PC

Lenovo Lenovo ideapad flex 5

My computer shut down on its own and would not turn back on. I called customer support and it was still under warranty so they fixed it and sent it back, claiming that I had a faulty motherboard which was replaced. 34 days later it has shut off again and will not turn back on (although it is charging fine). I called support and they said there's nothing they can do because the 30 day window has closed from the time it was repaired. I'm extremely disappointed with the product and the customer service I received. It was clearly not repaired correctly, or else this would not happen again a month following the repair. The 1year warranty just expired so I am left without a computer. Has they properly fixed it during the repair, I would not be in this problem.

Would not recommend this product to anyone.

Claimed loss: $450

Desired outcome: Properly fix my computer or send me one that isn't faulty like this one was.

I purchased several items from the Lenovo US website on Oct 29 2023, a Yoga laptop, webcam, external drive and a monitor. This complaint concerns the monitor only. I received the monitor on Nov 1 and never even had the chance to try it out because it was impossible to set the monitor up. The monitor arrives out of the box in three pieces: the monitor...

Lenovo tab m10 plus 3rd gen (tb125fu, tab128fu, tb128xu)/moto tab g62

I bought directly from www.Lenovo.com my tablet in November 2023 and it was delivered in December 2023. Since then, I've been in contact many times with Lenovo and their official parts supplier ENCOMPASS to obtain additional SD Card Trays (5M88C21031 or 5M88C21032). They do not have, stock, or know if they will ever have these parts; inspite of the fact these are very commonly needed replacement parts. The SD Card Trays are plastic and easily damaged or broken. They've recommended I look on line for the parts - but they are not available from any other dealer. I like the tablet, but this is not acceptable.

Desired outcome: Obtain the SD Card Trays.

I completed my purchase and received a confirmation. The confirmation showed that it would arrive at my home on approximately 0ctober 5th. I never received a tracking number and when October 5th...

I called Lenovo support to say my battery was having problems. I am covered under the extra warranty I purchased. The support agent said he needed to remotely check my battery and accessed my laptop it wouldn’t take long.! After 1.5hours he said that he couldn’t get my laptop back on for me. I was left with a disabled laptop and they weren’t bothered. I...

Lenovo service

I sent in 2 laptops to be repaired. One they told me was not under warranty. I just bought it this year, I submitted the receipt. They said they would fix it. I received it back unrepaired and in worse shape then before. The other laptop they lost. I received an email stated they received it and it is in for repair. Now it was wiped off the internet and disappeared. This is unacceptable.

Desired outcome: I would like my laptops back 2 of them.

Lenovo Legion slim 7 gen 6 laptop

The Lenovo website stated that it comes with Windows 11 Pro operating system but upon receiving the laptop, it is Windows 10 Home with the option to upgrade it to Windows 11 Home. I called Lenovo's tech support and they confirmed that the computer comes with Windows 10 Home though the website clearly states that it has Windows 11 Pro as the operating system. My order number is: [protected].

Desired outcome: Windows 11 Pro serial key or a discount on the purchase for providing false advertisement. The operating system is part of the reason why I decided to purchase this laptop.

Lenovo Lenovo ideapad 3.

I purchased this laptop for my son and paid extra for the premium care warranty that states they will send someone out to your home for repairs. About 2 weeks ago he turned it off and went to bed for the night. The next morning he went to start it and he received a blue repair/recovery screen. No matter what I entered or selected it always came back to the same screen. We restarted it several times and nothing would fix it. I called customer service and they walked me through several possible repairs, but nothing would fix it. They asked me to download a recover USB and try to reinstall the image. Did that nothing worked. They said they would call me back in 4 hours to confirm it fixed it, but I never received the call. Instead received an email stating we tried to call, but couldn't reach you". I called them back the next day and informed them the downloaded repair tool didn't work. The customer service agent said they would send me a USB with the software just to be sure. Received the USB device two days later and again ran it though the PC as instructed and again it did not work. I called them back and they said they would send me a box to send the laptop into a depot for repairs. I asked about the onsite repairs that came with the premium care warranty and the customer service agent said they can't do that because they don't know what's wrong with it. (Isn't that what the onsite technician is supposed to determine?) I asked to speak to a supervisor and after 30 minutes of haggling back and forth with the customer service agent he finally said he would have a supervisor call me back. He told me that the company will sell you a premium care warranty, but that doesn't mean they will send someone to your house for repairs. Still have not had my son's laptop repaired.

Desired outcome: I simply want my son's laptop repaired. He is austic and I can not afford to buy him a new one. I paid extra for premium care warranty and would expect to get what I paid for.

Lenovo Aio desktop warranty

I purchased 3 computers for our company, all the same new 2019. March of 2020 my computer stopped working - motherboard crapped out. Shipped it in and was told can’t get parts, don’t know when or if it will return. Well months later comes back in the mail- worked ok but always had problem of any updates thru the past 2 years. Windows 11 comes and once again no way to update. Decided to see a local computer specialist and found out in my 6 month old computer they replaced the motherboard with a 10 year outdated motherboard and felt that was sufficient. Had I known that at the time I would have never accepted it. I called today and basically getting the runaround - it’s out of warranty and old, nothing we can do. How about when it was under warranty why didn’t you replace it with a new computer and not give me shoddy equipment and pass it off as well it’s working. I paid 2599.00. I got 12$ service. I am completely aware that 2020 and 2021 was a time where parts were unavailable, but it was under full warranty and I should have been given new not old. I am dying to know if anyone has a fix for this problem or I just verbally trash Lenovo from now until the end of time. Trust me- never again as far as I’m concerned. Lenovo warranty, service and computers are the worst.

Desired outcome: Replace with new computer as they should have done in the beginning or fix mine with current motherboard not older motherboard

Lenovo Lenovo's Deceptive Warranty Policy: A Disappointing Customer Service Experience

I recently made a big purchase from Lenovo, spending over $3800.00 on two top-of-the-line ThinkPads. I even included an extended warranty to ensure that my investment was protected. However, a few months later, one of the laptops started experiencing a smart audio error, and eventually, the input and output devices disappeared altogether. I tried all of the standard fixes that Lenovo had listed on their support page and forums, but nothing worked. So, I decided to submit a support ticket to Lenovo.

After a few days, I received an email stating that my ticket had been closed, with no resolution. I was shocked and frustrated. I went to the support page to check on the status of my ticket, only to discover that they had changed their login procedure. It took me a while to finally get through and find the page with my ticket on it. To my dismay, I discovered that Lenovo had closed my ticket because the laptop was out of warranty. I was under the impression that my extended warranty had been updated, but it turned out that it wouldn't start for another two weeks.

Now, I'm stuck with two expensive laptops that I can't use because I can't risk anything major going wrong with them until the "updated" warranty starts. It's a highly deceptive business practice that takes money from you and absolves them of any responsibility. I'm extremely disappointed with Lenovo's customer service and their lack of transparency. I expected better from such a reputable company.

Lenovo Lenovo's Customer Service: A Nightmare Experience

I gotta say, my experience with Lenovo's customer service was just plain awful. I bought a laptop from them back in December, but it got delayed in shipping by over a week. By the time it finally arrived, the original delivery address didn't work for me anymore. So, I called up Lenovo's customer service and the first person I spoke to told me they could reroute the package to my current address if I had UPS return it. But, as it turns out, that was a total lie. I found out later that they couldn't actually do that.

To make matters worse, this laptop was a replacement for my old one, so I was already feeling pretty frustrated. Lenovo did let me buy the new laptop at a slightly reduced price, but it still ended up costing more than the original purchase. If I had known that I couldn't reroute the package, I would have just had my family at the original address ship the old laptop to me. It would have been way cheaper.

But, that's not even the worst part. It took Lenovo weeks to refund me for the original purchase. I didn't get my money back until January 30th, which was over a month after I bought the laptop on December 22nd. And, I had to contact Lenovo multiple times to get them to actually issue the refund. When they finally did, it was for less than what I had actually paid. I never got the full refund!

To top it all off, Lenovo deletes any reviews on their website that focus on customer service instead of the product itself. So, you can't even trust the ratings on their site. It's just not a good look for a company to treat their customers like this.

Lenovo Lenovo Laptop Falls Apart After One Year: Disappointing Customer Service Experience #LENOVOSUCKS

I recently bought a Lenovo laptop from their website and received it on November 29th, 2021. I was excited to start using it and was happy with its performance until one day, a year and 15 minutes later, a piece of plastic fell off from the hinge area. I didn't think much of it at first, but to my dismay, the laptop started to disintegrate slowly but surely. It became so bad that I had to tape it into a plastic bin just to keep it somewhat attached. It's not the most comfortable thing to use, but it still works well.

I contacted Lenovo to see if they could help me out, but since it was 'out of warranty', they refused to do anything for me and referred me back to Best Buy, where I had purchased the laptop online. I was disappointed and frustrated, especially since I had taken good care of the laptop and it had never been abused or mishandled. I had to fight Covid over Christmas, but I was finally able to visit Best Buy in early 2023. They were shocked to hear that Lenovo had done nothing but pass the buck.

Recently, Lenovo reached out to me for some background information. I provided them with everything they asked for, but each time I did, they asked for more details. It was like a never-ending cycle of requests for more information. Luckily, I had kept all the documentation they asked for, but now they seem to have 'ghosted' me. I'm in my late 70s and take very good care of my equipment, so it's frustrating to see a laptop fall apart in just 12 months.

I paid $850Cdn for this laptop, and it's disappointing to see it fall apart like this. I've attached a photo, but it doesn't really do justice to the extent of the damage. I hope Lenovo can do something to help me out, but as of now, I'm not very happy with their customer service. #LENOVOSUCKS

Lenovo Lenovo Review: Good Products, Frustrating Customer Service

Lenovo is a company that seems to be from another country. If you need any kind of customer service, you will be calling to other countries and speaking to non-native English speakers. It can be a bit frustrating and you may feel alone and victimized because they will promise you results and break those promises. You will be told to wait 24 to 48 hours every 24 to 48 hours. It can be hard to fight back because they are far away and cannot be touched. They will seem so kind, yet they will snicker to their coworkers as they attempt to flatter you.

Many people before me have tried to get a refund and are still waiting. It wasn't even me that canceled the order. It was my sales rep who entered it wrong the first time, causing him to create a new quote which I eagerly converted to a second order. The next day I noticed I had been charged a hefty sum twice! I am broke now and they refuse to give me a shipping label to even return the product. They don't refuse, really, they just keep promising it will come in 24 to 48 hours. Everyone who has dealt with them knows about 24 to 48 hours, an endless purgatory in time.

If you choose Lenovo, you must know in your deepest being that that is what you want. Because you literally will never see that money again. However, I must say that their products are of good quality. I have been using my Lenovo laptop for a few months now and it has been working great. The speed is fast and the graphics are clear. I have not had any issues with it so far.

Overall, I would recommend Lenovo for their products, but be aware that their customer service can be a bit frustrating. If you do need to contact them, be prepared to wait and be patient. It may take some time to get the results you want. But if you are willing to take that risk, then Lenovo is a good choice for a quality product.
