I bought a electrical McCulloch chainsaw on 17th July in Leroy Merlin Pescara (Italy) and used it for one day without any problems. Then when I switched on the saw on the second day it the motor started making strange noises. I took it back to the shop expecting a replacement or my money back. Instead I was told to take it to their repair shop several miles. I was a bit annoyed that they would not do that for me but nevertheless I took it there and was told that the motor was broken and it would take 10 days to find and fix the problem. As my sawing job was very urgent I bought another one a Bosch and asked for my money back from Leroy Merlin 2 weeks later. They had not contacted me to explain anything about the repair but when I went to their store they said that the machine could not be repaired and that I could not have my money back because it was either misused or there was a problem with my electricity supply! I was absolutely flabbergasted and disgusted. I am an experienced chainsaw user for twenty years or more and know exactly how to use them and the correct oil to use. I now believe that my broken chainsaw has been thrown away along with the full container of oil.
It seems that a customer has to prove that they have not misused an electrical appliance or that their electricity supply is not at fault if their guarantee is to remain valid. I presume that all electrical items in this store are 100% reliable and so every problem is the customers fault. So if you do buy an electrical appliance from this store it seem that you would need a monitor for any power surges that might occur in your electricity supply and you must record by video every second that you use it.
I have tried to contact McCulloch but without any response. They too must believe that 100% of their saws are without fault and that the customer is always wrong unless they can prove that they are right.
Needless to say I will never visit Leroy Merlin again or ever buy a McCulloch product again.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Leroy Merlin Murcia Spain. I took my weed whacker, that I had used two times, back to the store as the starter chord had tangled and rendered the machine useless. After a three week wait I had a friend, fluent in Spanish, call to check the status of my complaint. After a 10 minute initial wait, she was suddenly cut off and the line went dead. She called back with all the reference information and was told all they needed was my phone number. I was standing right next to her as she gave the number in perfect Spanish and was told, I can not understand you ! She tried again and got the same response, then the line went dead. She called back a third time and explained she wanted a status report on my repair and was told it would be two more weeks. When questioned further the store employee hang up on her, for the third time . She called again and demanded the manager, she was given a run around and finally his name . She was then told that my machine would be ready in 5 days ! The clerk was very nervous by now and realised that the abhorrent, rude treatment of a few minutes earlier had come back to bite her ! We even had local Spaniards talk to the store and they still said they " could not understand " . This is a common thing done in Spain when they know they have screwed up. They took no responsibility and acted in a very unprofessional way . As it was left, they will be calling me in 5 working days to tell me the machine is ready.

I placed an order for delivery on 25th May. Now 15th July and no delivery and the company have now stopped responding.
When they did respond it was to say the items have been sent, this was the reponse even when I asked for a refund.
Must make a nice profit by taking orders and not delivering.

Quand ils ont répondu c'était pour dire que les articles ont été envoyés, c'était la réponse même quand j'ai demandé un remboursement.
Doit faire un bon profit en prenant des commandes et ne pas livrer.

I bought the door and were missing some details. I called to customer service to ask to deliver me the missing staff, but they promised to call me back, the same next day for almost one week. When I ask to talk to manager, they told me there is no manager. Very upset with such behavior and customer service doesn’t exist in this shop.
We online purchaced 5 products in April 2022 but only one arrived. This was not signed for. After months of complaing we were informed as its over 6 months now that they are keeping our money and no refund. Its over 6 months as they take months to respond. Plus nothing legal in that at all. Ordered above on the Internet 26/4/23. Advised glass broken and sent photo 27/4/23 direct to Le Roy Merlin as advised by their web chat.Received confirmation I would be contacted in 24 hrs. No response received to email address Burnsbeck@aol.com. Require new glass sending for table everything else ok.
Hello we bought polycarbonate sheets and joiners to do a job for a customer unfortunately the lower strip of all the joiners has split and hangs on all of the joints. The biggest problem is that the whole lot will need dismantling to replace the joiners so basically it will need renewing preferably with a different type of joiner!
