My mom bought these in august 2018 and chairs started breaking one by one and we notified the shop they told us to choose something else so my choose different chairs an table so after few month chais started breaking, once more she notified the store and now in November 2019 she went back to report and they told her the warranty was finished so the sad part is she is a pensioner's and by the ti.e she finishes paying for these she won't have chairs to sit on.

i made a deal with your 337 branch in Warrenton in 2016 September of the above mentioned item. Account number [protected] . I have started to encounter a problem with an item after 1 year of purchase, i lodged a complain with the store complaint desk MS sharon with emmediate effect from 2017 october . She kept on promising me that she will send the maintanance person to go and check the item . I kept on paying the account on a monthly basis and also reminding them of the complain . the robe begin to bulge at the back due to hot weather condition . after four months of complaining with the complain desk with no help, i then consulted the the store manager MS Matthews she also promised but none of them had ever fulfilled their promises for 12 months .
In 2018 October when i went to pay my account i consulted with the R.C. of the branch Mr Russel . we had a misunderstanding but i ended up coming up with the resolution that let the company repair the robe by removing the back part of the board as it is week and put on a new strong hardboard as his problem was the replacement of a new drawer . it went on empty promises again . during my last payment of the account i have informed the complaint desk and the store manager that i am now handling the matter my way as none of them has ever tried to meet me half way i have tried to be a loyal customer but all in vain .
I informed her the manager that i am no longer going to pay for the account until they attend my complain .During December month after 2months of none payment the store came to fetch the robe for repair, it was with them for 2months on the 3rd month the item was delivered to my place in my absence. On my arrival at home i inspected it after 2 days of delivery. It was the 1st week of march to my surprise the item was not repaired instead it was only a lot of nails put all around the drawer with the same hardboard . I informed the driver about it and also told him to tell the store manager to go and collect the item as she is now taking an advantage of my honesty and loyalty . the manager came to my place on Sunday to check the item she apologised and ordered that the item be taken back to the store, it was in march 2018. She promised me that i will be provide with a catalogue to check for another robe with the same amount that i purchased with .
In 2019 march i went to the store again for follow up none of them had ever bothered to make follow ups with me, she said i must come in april for the catalogue i went there twice and check for the drawer but none of the items that were in that catalogue that were to my liking . i came up with another suggestion again to her it was in august 2019 wereby she told me that she will enquire with the RC. In 2019.10.07. The driver was send to my place to go and tell me that the new RC told them that the item be brought back to me as it is unlawfully in the company store ., and that my suggestion was denied by the RC. I told him to tell his manager to phone me of witch she did . I went to the store i was told by the branch manager that my account is on the list of account that will be send to legal team in march but its difficult for her to do that as the item is still at their store so i must agree that the item be delivered to me so that the account be send to legal team. as i send you this email the item is 10 months within the store no any attempt of trying to reach out to me . Interests are been added and the item is not on my possession .
now as a customer who has been treated like that i just nee your intervention on this matter . I have tried to handle the matter proffessionally with the store i am now exhausted .
unhappy with 4 couches
I bought couches in february 2019 at Lewis store in station, around 3rd week of july 2019 i went to the store to inform them that those couches have a funny sound coming from the arms, they came to assess them and they suggested they they should be taken for repairs which i agree to but from the time of assesment no one called me back to tell me what was the way forward up until i went to the store on the 28th of August where i asked them whether i will be given feedback or not, the lady who was assisting me told me that they have submitted the qoutes.I asked to talk to the manager at store and he promised me that he will give me feedback after looking at my query which he never called me until today, after that repair i was still not happy with the way they were done, i called them and they came to assess again with the person who was doing their repairs(i think they went and restaffed the arms and they were not done properly, the other arm seems like the plank inside was not well positioned or broken), i told them they cant collect them for second repair because its seems like im paying for something of low value hence i still have to pay Lewis P15000/16000, remember the quarantee/warenty will soon elapse and all expenses will be mine not lewis.I need response on this query because from what i know you sell furniture of high quality but from what i have experienced is the opposite.According to me it was still early for those couched to be repaired already unless there was a problem from where they were manufactured.

My mom bought a fridge at Lewis store Chris Hani Mall a month ago 06 July 2019 . When the fridge was delivered, it was wrapped in a plastic bag . A new fridge was supposed to be in a sealed box, I questioned that but my mom Is a 64 years and she thought no that's how may be it's supposed to be . 1.The fridge is full is scratches all over 2.The fridge worked fine for about 2 weeks and started to have a really bad sound. 3. My mother reported the matter to the store but nothing happened to date . I called the store spoke to Zodwa the sales lady that helped my mom with the sale and she confirmed that the fridge delivered to my mother was on the floor as a display . We just want them to deliver a new fridge that my mother bought and Lewis to take back this second hand they gave to my mother. Failing which, cancel the deal, refund my mother and take back their second hand fridge.

I work 80km from vryburg, every month a Lewis van comes to my workplace to remind me about my instalment. They came on the 31st July 2019 at my workplace to tell me about the account that was last paid on April.I explained to them that I have been paying at the other Lewis stores(branch 1026) next to Identity stores. I showed them the receipts to prove I have been paying. I am tired of being embarassed by your company, it was for the 3rd time. If I get paid on the 31st of the month and its on tuesday, do you expect me to take leave and pay you. I am tired of your treatment. I even complained about the wardrobe that is falling apart and I only bought it last year november. I am tired of being harassed at work every month.

Ever since Noone came to repair the fridge and I am tired of asking them to come check the fridge up. So I won't be making payments for it. I cannot pay for something that is not working. My name is Gloria Phokomosi last week I bought a washing machine at your shop which has a problem of a linking pipe.I immediately called the sales person who was assisting me at the shop and tell her about the problem.She told me she is going to report this matter to the manager.I waited for the whole week but couldn't hear anything from them, that's when I decided to go straight to the shop to lay a complain.The who was helping me told me that the pipe for the machine is not replaceable unless I buy the whole package which is a new washing machine. We are pensioners and bought a couch set in april 2018 cash. Since october 2018 up to date we keep on sending it back for repairs - brand new items? We require that we get a replacement couch set or our money back. We are elderly people who are being are not getting the after sale service as advertised. We have spoken to their customer services how many times, every time they say they will come back to us (gregg)... We have spoken to the branch manager (josephine) how many times, we have spoken to the person (bennie) at the branch handling the complaints... We have even spoken to the area manager (mrs earis) herself... Still "we are waiting for the merchandize manager" next month the warrantee / guarantee expires and what then? We require assistance please, money back or a replacement set. How long do we need to wait for the merchandize manager?

I am the son of the abovementioned account holder.
I discovered with total dismay and surprise that my mother was send a lawyers letter for outstanding debt pertaining the above-mentioned items bought on credit from your Lewis Store outlet Montagu by a sales person named Carlo.
I would like to know what criteria has been used/applied to grant her this credit as my mother is a mere recipient of a state pension grant. She never has had any other source of income and her living expense and responsibilities is of such a nature that she hardly make ends meet and relies heavily on the support of other family members.
I demand to be given insight as to how this credit was approved and on what grounds because I am of the opinion that she has been purposely misled by the salesperson for the mere sales commission.
What is further very disturbing is the fact that the saleperson even came to Barrydale to collect her and take her all the way to Montagu and back to convince her to buy these articles which was without a doubt way beyond her ability to pay back on a monthly basis.
If I do not get a satisfactory response within 24hrs I will have no choice but to take this issue to the media and the ombudsman if necessary, because I am convinced she is not the only person to be exploited in their current state of judgement as an elderly for the mere hunt of sales commission by heartless sales persons.

head office/brakpan - credit agreement
I phoned Lewis Brakpan on 09/01/2019 to try and get a Anastacia 4 suite, an LG home theatre set, and a Bradley plasma unit at about 10h00 the morning.
14h00 they phone me, telling me that everything has been approved with no deposit, So then I was very very happy!
Went to Lewis Brakpan store the same day, first we saw, that the Bradley unit was not on the contract, so the manager told me he will fix it up, I will however have to come in again on Saturday morning, to redo the credit interview, which was now done for the Anastacia lounge suite, and the Home theatre system.
Friday afternoon the manager phones me, the credit which H/O gave me, is now not valid anymore, so now I can not get the Bradley Plasma unit.
Saturday 12 January 2019, Lewis delivers my Anastacia suite at about 10h00 the morning.
At 11h30 the Brakpan manager phones me, says that he has bad news, due to my FNB account being not paid, they have been told by the H/O, to cancel the whole deal, and must collect all stock delivered.
Spoke to my attourney, says I must keep the stock, as ALL credit apps was completed, by Lewis H/O, on Wednesday already, and cant change their mind after all contracts were signed by the store manager, and myself.
My question is, how do you H/O do your credit applications?
I will be refering this to the NCR on Monday morning.

My name is Nompumelelo Octavia Soko I bought a fridge at Lewis Secunda in September and the fridge was a display, the fridge has not been cooling since I bought it I then reported it but my complaint was not attended to so I went in Secunda store where I bought the fridge to find out why they have not responded to my complaint they all said they dont know and pointed fingers at each other and when I spoke to the manager she said "did Dumisani lodge your complaint?" and I asked her how would I know coz I don't work there I am just there to find out when will they attend to my complaint. She then said the people from Standerton will come and have a look at the fridge and have it fixed I asked why she wants to fix it because the fridge is new she must exchange it for a new one she did not answer me, then those people from Standerton came after 2 week to have a look and the guy said the fridge is faulty from the factory I must tell the store to give me another fridge and so I did and the manager said no he's suppose to give the store a letter confirming that and so I asked the manager what must I do with a fridge that is not cooling coz I'm unable to buy food she called the Standerton guys and they said I refused to give them the fridge I then went to the store she called them again while I was there and he denied saying that, a week before Christmas the Standerton guys came and took the fridge and they brought it back Yesterday the 9th of January unfortunately the is still as it was when it left and now has cracks inside. Nobody wants to assist me I don't know if this is how every customer is treated or it's just me, I am not happy with the service this store is giving me and I regret even walking in the Lewis store had I went to another maybe they would've given me a better service

I phoned the customer care line and was told by the agent that they do not do refunds on a Friday. When I applied for the loan the money was paid into my account within minutes but when paying back the money it seems like its never going to happen. My children are hungry and I need to pay people who I had to borrow money from.

On 2018-11-15, I bought a Cabanna 3piece kitchen unit from Potchefstroom branch and paid cash. I was informed the delivery will be made on the 16-11-2018. On the 16th i waited at home for the delivery and only left home after 6pm as i assumed it was out of the operating hours of Lewis. But after i left the unit was delivered and only my young cousin was home he accepted the delivery of three boxes and was told that they will come back on Monday( 2018-11-19) to assemble and put together the kitchen unit. On the 19th they didnot arrive i waited until 23rd and i went to enquire at the potchefstroom branch whereby i met Ms Zwakina who promised me they will send someone to assemble it on the same day or the following day. Today is the 26th and no one has arrived or bothered to call and i am stuck with boxes of unassembled kitchen unit. The impression their giving is that once they have received your cash they np longer care about the wellbeing of their customers.

Two years ago I bought a Hisense TV from Lewis store in Polokwane . It's been working since then. Now it has started giving me problems as it's not turning on anymore. I have reported this to Lewis store, where I bought it. They told me to pick up the TV and bring it to them. I replied that I can't bring it, they must come fix it as they were able to deliver. The guy said to me if I can't bring it to the store then they can't come to fix it too, so I must stay with it like that. Is this how you Lewis give customer service? It's poor. I don't think I will ever purchase anything from you people, if that so.

I bought the Refrigerator at Lewis Kathu 25/05/2013 and I used that for only a period of 2 month, we went away for weekend and when we came back all groceries in the Refrigerator was rotten and I went to the shop to report the matter and told about my problem and said the will come and take to fix the problem but they never came until I stop paying and the came to collect the Refrigerator but I took and debit review and to my surprise Lewis was on the list of my debit and the deducated for period of a year and for I don't even have the goods with me, why should I pay for something that I don't even have
I went to the shop several time they gave me number for legal department I always call but I don't get answer
I just wanted that debit to be removed from my name as really it blocking my name on lots of things that I needed to do .
Other thing on my contract I saw they said also brought a maxipedic Posture single bed - I never bought that I only bought Refrigerator .
Hope this matter will be solve or may I must use law

lack off fixing broken items
On 2018/09/27 i called lewis ( hercules ) in pretoria to complain about my faulty defy dishwasher and 2 x recliner chairs. The person i lodge the complain by informed me that he will send it to his head office and they will contact me.
On the 4th of october 2018 a electrician came to my house to fix the dishwasher, the only thing he did was to remove a part and said he will order new part.
On the 12 th of october 2018 i received a call from lewis head office in the cape to confirm that the fault was fixed, i then informed them what happened and they said they will look into the matter ( nothing was fixed )
now up to date no fixed dishwasher nor the recliners chairs.
I would like to have replacement of the item asap.

I bought a JVC 32" TV at Lewis stores at protea glen mall since from July the tv its been giving me problems it became dark when I switch it on, I can't see any pictures I can only hear sound, I took it back to the store so that the can fix it, then they bring it back.Its only played for three days and it started again, I took it back to the store again, after two weeks they bring it back, it was playing and then after 2 weeks it started the very same problem again, I took I back to the store again, they said they will call me I'm still waiting for them they haven't say a word its been 2 weeks now I don't have a tv please help me.I don't want this tv anymore I'm tired
