Washing machine
I recently decided to buy a washing machine and to be specific I wanted a brand that am aware of, so I went to all furniture shops in Richard's Bay found the cheapest one at Lewis. I came a day earlier on the holiday 1st of May 2022, asked to buy a machine to be specific Defy 14kg, I asked and lady helping me said they have 15kg twin tub I told her I want it I will pay for it the following day and my father will fetch it As soon as he can, next thing I found out that the machine on the catalog is Kelvinator something like that not the brand I was told. I'm very disappointed, the machine is already at home...
Desired outcome: I am now not certain as to what should I do nor say because I cannot pay for petrol again to return the machine and get my money back but please can one look to this and let me know as to what is possible to do

I have problem with the lewis store in george the keepon deducting two payments instead of one payment wen I wen in to adres the situation and to ask for a refund the dint want to refund last monts payment and I will not leave it at that I will be takiing further action as I already contacted my lawer as that money belongs to me and I want it back but now the have all kinds of stories so its either you sort it out or I will be taking steps agains lewis store in george

Manager approach to customers
On the 08/04/2022 I went to Leribe Lesotho branch to pay for my account, my account was in debt with one installment. No one ever notified me that my account is owing.
The manager call me to her cubicle just to shout at me telling me that it seem like I don't want to pay lewis, remember I'm the one who took my time to go to the shop. We took about 20 minutes quarreling with the manager. That manager is so incompetent and need more training on customer care. I so much doubt her ability to manage the shop with such attitude and character.
The cashier was so embarrassed waiting to the boss to command her to take my cash. She one of those poor managers I have ever came across.
I'm going to delay payment again purposely so that she shout at me again. This time around I'll put her on records as proof.

My name is Mbali Mbono, on the 19th March 2022 was at LEWIS – Tembisa Megamart - were I purchased furniture on credit, I purchased a Bed, Fridge and a Wadrobe, I was helped by a sales consultant named Ayanda, the following day my furniture was delivered it was a Saturday but the wardrobe was not there, I then asked the delivery guys were is the wardrobe they said they will bring it on Tuesday as Monday was a holiday. Comes Tuesday the was delivery and no communication from the store. On Wednesday at around 10am I logged a call to the store asked what have happened to the delivery they told me they will deliver before 12 mid day, I had to get home on Wed and still the was no delivery and still no communication with the store. I called them again it was now around 4pm, they said the delivery guys were on their way to me. I was now frustrated and angry that how can one receive such cold and unprofessionalism as customer, I sent the wardrobe back to the store, not only that Ayanda the sales consultant - send me a WhatsApp insulting me telling me that I am heartless how can I send the Wardrobe back. Is that even acceptable. I'm angry I feel like I can just cancel the whole furniture back. I was disrespect as a customer. I regret even doing this purchase at a Lewis store.

Hie im talking about lewis in durban west street m compaining about the lady thuli nd indian lady unfortunately I forgot her name they are busy harrassing me of money I owe lewis nd said I must pay it in cash and they are busy coming and calling me at work while we are not allowed to take any calls during working hours ive almost lost my job because of them as ive signed a written warning, thuli is still coming even after I told her not to as she is shouting me infront of my colleagues and they even said they will ask my manager to pay the debt for me and also insulting my husband when he is trying to explain, nd she said we are poor me nd my husband that is why I am filling a complain I even shy to go to work bcoz they will harass me of money I dont have for now please help me for this treatment

Two months ago Lewis handed my account over for non payment but payment has been made as its been every single month, they did not even bother to call me prior to handing over my account. This month Lewis called to ask for payment and I have sent them my proof of payment but now nobody is responding to my emails. I hope that my account has not been handed over again. I have called the head office twice this morning the call gets picked up without any answer and gets put on hold. I must say that Lewis has the worst customer service I have eve received in my whole entire life. Starting from the branch straight to the head office. Please can someone get back me regarding this issue.

Good day, I have signed a debit order for the 25th one for R 1000 then after a few months signed a new one for R 1400 the manager said to me she sent it to head office to cancel the one for R 1000 now on the 25 November both the debit order went off, I keep on calling the manager from Lewis Pinetown and she keep on putting the phone down, I send emails last month asking can Lewis assist me in a lower payment as I am with all this economy petrol and so on going up battle to make that payment with no reply, so how am I going to get my one debit order money back I am in a stress of this because i need that money to take care of my son. I am Amanda Maqoko I'm 35 years of age, I have 2 kids we all stay together in Gqeberha, Motherwell.
Last month (October 2021) I applied for credit at Lewis in Govern Mbeki Next to Law court, in Gqeberha. I was approved and they gave me R19 000 worth of furniture, before I went to the store I Google searched Lewis so I called them then a lady by the name of Qondi asked me to come to the store, I did I had all my documents I was told the furniture would arrive the following day. I told them that I get paid on the 25th of every month so I asked that they debit it on that day every month, but I the lady who helped me said it was no problem it would be deducted. From the 1st of November I've been receiving sms's from Lewis asking me to make payments and I should ignore if I've already paid so I ignored since they debited on the 25th and I'm too busy to go to the bank and get bank statements and the app on my phone doesn't work. Yesterday the 9th of November I get a call from Qondi the sales lady who got me to the store, but I asking me when will I make payments I told her I only have money on the 25th I don't have the money she told me to make a plan, I asked that she let's me speak to her manager who rudely told me that if I don't make payments today meaning yesterday that on Saturday they would come collect the furniture, I asked if she could wait till I get paid on the 25th and maybe take double of what I owe them she refused saying I need to be home so they can collect the furniture. I spent half of my day making loans that were not approved and emotionally devastated but eventually my mother ended up paying the R1255. 17.
I feel it was not my fault that they did not debit on the 25th, I don't like how Lewis makes me borrow money from people just to pay them but when I was there everything seemed easy.
Bottom line is I would like an apology from the staff at Govern Mbeki evenue and they should know that I will not recommend them to anyone.

Hi.I am mrs ME Wolmarans.I had 3 accounts with lewis.I paid 2 of them off early August.on the 27th of August, those 2 accounts were debited once again. After calling customer care, then only was the 2 debit orders cancelled.since then I have been phoning constantly about the refund.I have submitted all the required paperwork that was asked, twice.I even went to the Northam, Limpopo branch as was told so by agent working with accounts to get the refund.when at the branch, i was told they don't have the authorisation to do the relevant refunds.they spoke to the agent and I was told it would be paid out during last week.a week and a day later, 12 October, nothing.everytime I phone the agent is busy or there is some other excuse like paperwork, ID and bank statement.if the agent is busy, I am told that they will contact me.this hasn't happened.I am tired of the excuses and always having a story.I have been paying them on time every month, no issues.but when money is wrongly deducted you have to beg for a cash in bank refund.I would like this to be resolved ASAP as this is not customer care or value.I will also not be refunded by buying something in store for the amount.the accounts were paid up for financial relief and car payment, which is now short on 1month due to their negligence.
