Home warranty plan
I signed up with LifeTime in May 2022 for 2 investment properties I just bought. I bought a 5 year coverage for both properties. I filed my first claim in August of 2022. There was no response. I filed another claim soon after. The vendor they email to me, said he was not with Lifetime. I filed two other claims, so far no response from Lifetime. By October of 2022 I got tired of the situation and asked for a cancellation and refund of what was left of the 5 year policy. No response from the portal and so I called the company. Every time I call it is at least a 30minute wait. There was a couple of times I waited one and a half hours. Every time I got to talk to someone , they say they will file the cancellation with the billing dept. This occurred 3 times. Nothing has since been done. I feel have been ripped off. I can't get claims covered and I cannot cancel and get a refund. It is impossible to talk to a human being. I signed on after reading the great reviews online. Now I realize those reviews cannot be true, not with my experience with this company. I paid $1995 for the first 5 year plan and $1795 for the second 5 year plan. I should have know better. Beware of this company, in my experience, this is a scam. If I could I would give zero stars but the lowest option is 1 star.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund since this company has never responded to any claim I filed.
Home warranty not reimbursing approved repairs
I purchased a home warranty from Lifetime Home Warranty based on their promise of good customer service and rapid approve claim reimbursements.
None of those promises have been true.
I have been trying for months to get the claims they approved and requested I have repaired and then they would reimburse.
They have never reimbursed any of the claims filed even after multiple promises they were sending.
I am still waiting on reimbursement but realize this company so far is just taking customers money and then refusing to honor contract reimbursements.
I have documents to prove claim reimbursement approval.
Desired outcome: Need my claims reimbursed as promised.
Home warranty
Still have not received my reimbursement for claims they approved. I have sent multiple messages asking to have claims reimbursed. I get response it takes 30 days but it has now been 60 days.
I need my money reimbursed as promised.
Over the last few weeks I have been mislead, put off. and outright lied to. I have sent multiple messages trying to get you to fulfill contract agreement and reimburse me for claims that were repaired and approved by you 2 months (60 days ago). I spoke to Alex on 11/4/22 and he said checks were being cut by end of week. That was 24 days ago. I spoke with a Seth on Saturday 11/26/22 at 10:00 am and he said he was contacting Alex and he would call me back within 15 minutes. It has now been 2 days and still no response. My patience has been stretched to limit and the statement below stands. If I do not receive a reasonable explanation and response by tomorrow 11/27/2022 I will begin the proceedings below this week. I don't know what type calendar you use but based on approval dates of claims 10/5/2022 it has been 50 days and still no check. If I do not get my reimbursement in few days I have no choice but to file complaints with Delaware Attorney General's Office, Better Business Bureau, and all other agencies set up to prevent frauds and scams. I hope it doesn't have to come to that. DELAWARE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE ATTORNEY GENERAL KATHY JENNINGS
Desired outcome: I want the claims that were approved reimbursed as promised in contract.

On August 2th, 2022 I spoke with Joseph Jordan a LifeTime Home Warranty representative concerning a LifeTime Home Warranty Policy. During my conversation with Joseph, I spoke to him concerning online reviews of the company that were very disparaging. Joseph stated that those complaints were concerning customers who tried to make claims within the 30-day moratorium period. After further investigation online which did not provide clear insight concerning the company, I again spoke with Mr. Jordan. Mr. Jordan stated that a customer who purchased a policy has 30 days to decide and if they cancelled anytime within the 30 days the customer would receive a full refund. Mr. Jordan and I discussed LifeTime Home Warranties Total Plan. Mr. Jordan then stated that if I purchased a 4 year plan it comes with 2 years free which alleviates a need for the yearly renewal. On August 5th, 2022 I purchased the plan for $1995 for 6 years, policy start date September 4th, 2022 and end date September 4th, 2028. After further research I found several review sites with disparaging information and contacted Mr. Jordan stating that I wanted to cancel the policy. Mr. Jordan asked the reason, and I stated that the company received many bad reviews concerning customer service. Mr. Joseph stated that LifeTime Home Warranty company was highly rated by the Home Warranty Association of America (HWAOA) and provided me the website https://hwaoa.org. The HWAOA website confirms that LifeTime Home Warranty is an accredited by the HWAOA. I was still apprehensive sent a text to Mr. Jordan that I did not see any reviews on that website. Mr. Jordan replied with the following text “Hi James. The HWAOA reflects our accreditation of compliance for our home warranty service. We are top rated amongst the other providers because of our fast response time to claims and full coverage for appliance replacement.” I contacted Mr. Jordan and stated that he did not provide any reviews. Subsequently Mr. Jordan provided me with the following link https://www.shopperapproved.com/reviews/lifetimehomewarranty.com. I contacted Mr. Jordan and stated that I still am no sold on LifeTime Home Warranty. Mr. Jordan stated that since I was still apprehensive Mr. Jordan stated that he will provide me with his personal contact information [protected]) and that he would provide me with individualized customer service and if I needed anything to contact him at the number. On Monday August 29th, 2022 I sent Mr. Jordan a text stating that I am considering keeping the LifeTime Home Warranty and stated to Mr. Jordan that I hope that everything that he stated concerning the company was true as he claimed. Mr. Jordan responded with “Absolutely James. We are very grateful to have you as customer with lifetime. If you ever haver yo use the service you'll come to see that you love it. Haver a wonderful Day”.

On November 1st 2022 I sent a request concerning the status of my reimbursement through the LifeTime Home Warranty portal. On the same day I received the following response “Hello, We do apologize for any inconvenience caused. We are currently investigating this issue and will report back with an update as soon as possible”. On November 2nd, 2022 I sent the following comment through the portal “Please clarify. What is there to investigate? Services were rendered and paid out of pocket, verified with receipt and reimbursement is due. It has been over a month and no reimbursement. I have another claim, why would I engage this process if reimbursements are not completed in a timely manner?”
Since November the 2nd there has been no communication by this company concerning my reimbursement. LifeTime Warranty utilizes the bait and switch technique. LifeTime Home Warranty does not have a large network of professionals to assist with claims. Therefore, LifeTime Home Warranty sends the customer the information to contact their own trusted service technician to complete this claim, which I did. LifeTime Home Warranty does not have a direct number to resolve issues. LifeTime Home Warranty utilizes a third-party answering service that submits a service ticket on behalf of the customer. LifeTime Home Warranty will claim that they have contacted you, however, they never leave a message or a return call number to directly speak with a representative. On November 7th, 2022, I contacted Mr. Mike Murphy @ and spoke with him concerning my issue. He stated he will assist by looking at my account. After several minutes on hold the only thing Mr. Murphy did was transfer me to Mr. Jordan who did not answer my call. I left a message on his answering machine to contact me concerning my reimbursement. I then called Mr. Murphy again and my call went to an answering machine, and I left a message. I have also opened another ticket requesting reimbursement for the services and a cancellation of the policy. According to Mr. Jordan I could cancel at anytime after the 30 days irrespective of the policy all I needed to do was to contact him if I was dissatisfied with the service.
Ticket #4428 Third request in determining the state of my reimbursement. Requesting reimbursement and requesting to cancel this policy. Today's date is November 8th 2022.
Ticket #4347 Another request concerning my reimbursement. Its been more than 24hrs. Your business practices are deceptive and deceitful.
Ticket #4320 still awaiting reimbursement for previous claim. Still not sure what is there to investigate since your e-mail stated that the reimbursement was approved.2105
Ticket #2105 I have an issue with this policy and would like for my account manager to call me ASAP
Hello James, We just tried reaching you by phone and left a message. Can you please let me know what issue you are facing and I will be glad to assist you. Thank you

To get my money back full refund and cancel account
I paid $650. Up front for coverage and was approved for a reimbursement of a service call of $110. Have not received it. And no callbacks or any other information about this matter. When you call them, they always say sorry for the inconvenient but I cannot help you with this matter I will send this to another person that can, and then nothing happens. No refund, no call, no email. As I'm writhing to you now, I'm on hold.
They claim they are the best, but all they are doing is ripping people off.

This company has not kept its word, it seems to be at best a SCAM! I attempted to make a claim and could not. There was no one to speak to and the numbers they provide for contact are not set up to take calls. I have had this service for eight months. I would like to be reimbursed for all the monies they have received from me, and I would like to cancel my service. This is ridiculous. How can a company exist that doesn't fulfill its obligations to its customers. Should there be a class-action lawsuit against them I would be happy to be a part of it.

Yes. How can we do this to stop the scammer
If you used a credit card to pay "premium" you can put a hold on pro-rata refund. Company must respond within 10 days or charge will be reversed in your account.
Lifetime home warranty is the most worthless company out there. I have a problem with a hybrid water heater made by A.O. Smith. Called it in on 9/03/2022 am still waiting for them to do something, which I am now convinced that they will not. Been on hold for 1 hour today. They told me that to cancel the policy you must do it on the website. News...there is no place to cancel your policy on the website. They should be put out of business and pull down the website.
Get cost of range repair paid.
I am having a major problem with Lifetime Home Warranty in covering a broken burner on my range. Back in April of this year, I paid Lifetime Home Warranty $459.00 for a one (1) year policy that took effect in May 2022. In September I filed a claim with them on-line for the non-working large right hand front burner on my 10 year old Maytag Range.
I received the return message below...
Hello Don,
Claim #: [protected]
Component: Oven/Range/Stove
ISSUE - Right hand front burner not working
Hello Don,
This claim has been marked as Approved in the amount of ($100.00 (Repairs exceed value of unit)). Please allow up to 30 days for reimbursement. Thank you.
I didn’t quite understand what this meant so I called the customer service number at [protected] to ask for clarification. They couldn’t tell me but they would issue a ticket for clarification and I would hear from somebody. But there was no call.
So I called back and got a different customer service rep and went through the same scenario again. I wanted to know if Lifetime Home Warranty was only covering $100 on the claim of $462.03 or will they be replacing the range because repairs exceed the value of the range? The e-mail was not clear, in my mind. The agreement I made in return for my premium payment of $459.00 says that Lifetime will fix or replace the broken appliance.
Again no return call. So I called again and was told that I would have to communicate with Lifetime through the message center on the customer portal of the website. So I did…eleven (11) times. I finally got the answer that Lifetime was only covering $100 of the $463.03 cost of the repair. Unfortunately, the only phone number provided…[protected] is useless. You can’t speak to anyone in charge.
By the way, I went on-line and researched the cost of the burner element for my Maytag range and found the cost to be from $200.00 - $250.00. So, the charge on the repair estimate is not out of line.
Lifetime Home Warranty does not back up their agreement!
I would like a refund of my warranty payment ($2595.00) and the company to pay for the repair/replacement of my two claims
I submitted a claim for an appliance repair (dryer) and have not received any funding to repair or replace appliance. I have called the company numerous times and only able to get a hold of customer service rep whom has no control over processing a claim. The sales reps (contacted multiple times) tell me that they will forward my inquiry to claims department manager but I do not receive any call backs. The claim is over 30 days since submitted.
Also another claim (oven repair) I submitted for a repair was never paid to vendor whom performed the service (Over 60 days)
Lifetime home warranty - LifeTimeHomeWarranty.com
I paid $2,595.00 for a 6 year contract with Lifetime Home Warranty
Home warranty insurance
I bought the lifetime home warranty total protection plan on 4/23/22. I put a claim in stating I have a leak somewhere under my sink or it may be my disposal. They denied my claim stating they don’t cover leaked. The warranty covers the “plumbing system” and “plumbing stoppage” and when I spoke to the agent that signed me up he stated that the plumbing plan covered indoor leaks. I then asked them to cancel my policy. They said that the policy cannot be canceled. I have contacted the attorney general in Delaware and also the BBB. The leak got so bad it caved my downstairs ceiling and ruined an entire wall. I owned several properties for 18 years and I have had them all covered under home warranties. I have NEVER been declined for a leak.
Desired outcome: Cancel policy and refund what I paid into it since April.
Home warranty or lack thereof
On 8/5/2022 I had major surgery preventing me from driving or doing anything for 4 weeks. The following week my plumbing backed up in the entire home, I called and told LifeTime Home Warranty about it, they told me to go online and request service, I tried to but it would not take my initial request because it wanted make/model/year of my plumbing on a home just purchased in May.
Several days later I called back again and was told to again go online but this time put 9's in for the numbers it was requesting, Request was placed, phone calls were made and, on the 15th, when none of my toilets were working and no one would get back to me, I called Roto Rooter to come and take care of the issue for me. They came out that same morning and by noon had everything working.
I paid Roto Rooter, uploaded my paid invoice for reimbursement and then they emailed me saying they would only pay me 150.00 not the entire amount as I did not have preapproval. I still have not even received the $150.00!
I truly feel like they are a scam and I cannot even get to speak to someone about cancelling my home and condo with them, getting a refund and getting a home warranty elsewhere. Someone needs to hold them accountable.
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund for the money I put out for the plumbing and also a full refund for both my policies so that I can get home warranties with a company who actually does what they say they will do.
"no communication" "my payment of services not received"
Purchased 6/23/22, sent in 2 claims was told to get someone to repair if over a certain amount to send in bill for OK. It was a emergency situation could not get response so did what was told. Sent in bills for first responce. Did not get paid yet. Could not get phone number to get help. My second claim was simular situation. Was told by my plumber needed new water Heater it was old and leaking water and gas. Sent in new claim, no response.
Desired outcome: Fraud, want a refund for money. If so something should be done
Home warranty scam
I have been scammed! While thinking I was quite smart about scammers, in early january I fell into the trap of a “nice” sales associate who convinced me that they would have solved my prior problems encountered with my other home warranty services. Unfortunately, after my first (and only claim) I soon realized lifetime home warranty was not what they said...
