LongHorn Steakhouse service we received

On July -6-18 Friday night around 9pm. First it took 30 mins to get drinks & we only got someone because we stop her as she was walking by our table. She brought one water & a tea but it was four people in our group. We finally just went to the bar ourselves & got our drinks. 20 mins later our server who name is John came to our table & ask if we wanted another server because we stopped someone else to get our drinks! very rude in the way he talked to us & his attitude was very poor to be a server! Finally we order our food & we asked for a refilled on tea & he told us when he gets time! We request to speck with him manager but it took another 30 mins for him to come to our table his name was Wilson! It's now 10 clock pm & we still haven't got our food! After speaking with Wilson things didn't get any better! We ended up leaving & never eating food because it never came to our table! Me & my husband was in town visiting friends & family & the service we got from longhorn steakhouse in Roanoke Va was very upsetting! & wrong on so many different levels! This type of service need to be stopped !

LongHorn Steakhouse from a distressed mom - asked to sit baby down

Last night on July 06, 2018 around 7:40 p.m. we were seated at table 43 at Longhorn Steak House in Mobile Alabama store 5588. I welcomed this anticipated opportunity to eat at Longhorn because I had been craving a Flo's Filet since Longhorn reopened in February. Yes I could have ordered to go, but I enjoy the dining experience and so it was settled. On this particular Friday night, we had to bring our children to dine with us (which they are comfortable with dining out) and we usually have them with us because it is a family and that is what families do. Our kids are 2 and 5.
After we were seated, we ordered a glass of wine followed by an appetizer and then our main courses. Tyler P, our waiter was awesome and everything was going great. My husband noticed that our child had become uncomfortable sitting in the high chair and we agreed to move her beside him in the seat. Again she just turned 2. I noticed a family with a similar set up as ours and we began to talk about how brave we were to be out with our two year olds. While I was speaking with them a hostess came over to my husband after she sat guests behind him and said "Will you sit your child down". This was unbeknownst to me as I was wrapping up my conversation with the other guests. After my conversation, my husband informed me of the incident. I was so livid I asked for a manager. Mr. Chad Allsup came over and tried his best show he cared and apologize but honestly I was not impressed. I think he was nervous or maybe he thought his hostess was right. He gave me his card and asked that I ask for him when we returned... I thinking for what? I felt more comfort from my waiter Tyler P than this Manager. Nothing the Manager said was reassuring. Actually I left the restaurant feeling like I had to leave. My dining experience was ruined. My child was not being disruptive. It was not in what Mr. Allsup said but maybe what he did not say or do. My toddler was being a toddler. Maybe the host shouldn't have sat the guest behind us. Maybe we should have been sat in chairs oppose to a booth, but our child was being two and sometimes they will stand in a booth. She shouLd not have said anything. I felt like the hostess she have been made to apologize. It was not the fact that I was looking for a discount on $98.46 meal which was $113.46 after we provided a gratuity to our wonderful waiter but I need it some extra comfort and to be honest I don't know what that would have been being that the event had already happened. Mr Chad Allsup indicated that maybe the hostess could have been more friendly when she asked us to sit our child, I replied maybe she may not have said anything at all. I am a guest. I am a customer. I did not appreciate this encounter. I am dissatisfied with Longhorn. What type of people are we cultivating? Could this interaction been avoid? Is training required? I am a Manager and managing can be hard but I expect more from my dining experience and where I choose to spend my money. I can move past bad food but I can not move past the feeling that Longhorn does not accommodate or take in consideration parents with small children who are brave enough to want to have a great dining experience and introduce their children to one as well. Maybe we can discuss ideas in how to make Darden restaurants more kid friendly ([protected]@yahoo.com).

LongHorn Steakhouse terrible service not enough servers, bad experience overall

We went in this 4th of July. Now, to credit the bartender, she had the bar and tables in the dining room ( I worked as a server in college, I get it) they should have put a wait vs kept on seating, there was only her and another server, maybe 1 more, but not sure. due to how busy she was, the service was terrible. drinks were empty for extended amounts of time, and everything took forever. not entirely her fault, management should have stepped in, but they were non-existent until the end. My salad wasn't the right size for the upcharge, and when I said something to the waitress, she said, " I can get you a plate to spread it out on, and I bet its the same amount" ? ummm no, not the right answer and the salad was almost soup with all of the dressing.
after waiting a log time, our lunch finally came out, it was incorrect, but at this point, we just asked for boxes and to leave. it didn't even phase her to notice that our food wasn't even touched, we were unhappy, our drinks were empty and the salad was already spoken about, but nothing had been done.
then we had to wait another 15 minutes or so just for our boxes and ticket. I saw some woman at that point, whom I thought might be a manager, but she was just bussing tables, not even trying to go to the tables and see if everyone was ok...with the obviously slammed employees and entirely too many tables open for anyone to even possibly be able to handle them with the care that they need...especially with the menu prices, its not a upscale steakhouse, but a steakhouse, and I can get better service at Logan's.
I asked the "manager" if I could just get our ticket and boxes so that I can leave. instead of getting them herself...she goes to the bartender/server and tells her that we're waiting on them. that was terrible service, didn't ask why our meals were untouched, if she could do anything...nothing...just came back to the table to tell us that she was working on it.
On top of all of this, I am 9 months pregnant, this was the worst experience I have ever had and will not be going back to a LongHorn and I happen to like eating there, we frequent there at lest once a month...or we did...not after this.
I feel like we were ripped off of our $50 meal, and didn't even get to enjoy it.
management is whom I put mostly at fault. you can't let your servers have that many tables and properly serve the guests. ...they should be patrolling the restaurant instead of staying hidden when there is a rush like that and there isn't enough help.
the bartender/server has partially at fault for not making sure that the customer was happy. we are paying for a service, and we didn't get service at all. she did say at the end, I'm sorry that you were neglected. if it was known that we were neglected, there should have been something done about it...not letting customers leave with their food that they don't want in a box and the incorrect salad that was charged extra for on the table. it was a terrible experience.

LongHorn Steakhouse management team

My girlfriend is a server that has worked for longhorn in Dothan for about 2 weeks now. Since she has been there she has been severely improperly trained, alienated, and disrespected. I hope no one wonders why the service at your restaurants is stretchy at best. If so I've got quite a few reasons. First they hired my girlfriend and had no training material at all, couldn't get her in a system to train because someone couldn't get something right, then all of the sudden bam she logs in at home one day and it works after a week or so. No training at all. I don't know if your company understands that 76% of employees either quit or get fired due to improper training. Secondly the managers there are terrible. When employees ask questions they either boldly get ignored or yelled at. Yes they say there is no dumb question and if you have any questions to feel free to ask, but when the moment comes you have a question about operations or food they do not teach anything. I feel like Carla (manager) has some sort of personal vendetta, discrimination, or just doesn't like the fact that she is prettier, idk. She has either gotten way to close or step over the discrimination line a few times. How can a new employee learn about your company when a manager is acting like a child and doesn't like someone so I'm not answering none of your questions I'm not checking you in someone else will, all kind of things such as that . They won't let her clock in till she has been checked in and with this manager and her childish behavior, she can't even get checked in on time, but yet she had to be early or possibility of getting wrote up. There are a hundred other things I would like to talk to someone about. The biggest reason I send this is the way she was treated last night. They were busy, there is no organization so of course everything is crazy. She goes into work to the usual I'm not checking you in someone else will from Carla. By the time she gets checked in she gets thrown on a party with starla, and had been sat a table while she was waiting to be checked in (not sure how long they were there waiting for first contact) she goes to starla and starla explained how she had her side of the party's drinks and food order already *$

I've submitted a complaint yesterday morning explaining how my girlfriend is being improperly trained discriminated against alienated and much more. I have many many scenarios on each since the short time she has worked there. I will submit a complaint everyday until the problem is resolved. I was informed that she was working and was clocked out by a manager without being informed. That's illegal in many ways. First of she did not tell anyone what she made in tips, so how much did whomever claim for her. She has no idea how long she worked of the clock. This is not the first time this happened either. So you are working people for free without informing them. Also illegal. Whoever claimed her tips for her just committed tax fraud and irs will be informed. I need results on this before the list of charges keep increasing because tree fact y'all did that also classifies as retaliation. And if you would leave my messages for the public to read because the only reason you hide things is when you know you are doing wrong. Are y'all really going to let these 2 people be the reason 50+employees loose their jobs and you loose your business. Thank you for you time. I hope to revive a phone call soon.

Also the district gm never even said who she was to my girlfriend. Looking like she was off the street how was my girlfriend to know not to retaliate to the injustice occurring at the moment. I thought y'all was a restaurant not a dog pound, everyone running around getting in people's faces yelling disrespecting discriminating alienating retaliating, causing the perfect scene to get shut down. I bet as well organized as it is health code probably isn't being upheld properly, right?. I Need results and a phone call.

Also your district gm was in your restaurant dressed like she was straight off the streets jogging with a sweater tied around her waist on my girlfriends second day and started yelling pointing finger getting in her face talking trash. Where are y'all hiring these people from? This is the worst employment experience I've ever heard of and I was a commercial roofing supervisor for 7 years. I need results. Like I said they have been VERY DISCRIMINATING and I have many examples in such a short period. There's not one leader in the building. Id's like going to a playground with no baby sitters.

LongHorn Steakhouse waiter

My husband and were celebrating our 23 wedding anniversary. We order 2 sodas and 1 water. The waiter spilled all 3 drinks at once and they all fell into my husband's lap completely soaking him from his legs to his shoes. We know this was am accident but we also had plans to go out after but we had to go home because my husband was sticky and wet. We were only offered a free appetizer. I just feel disappointed

LongHorn Steakhouse quality of food / worst customer service

I love eating at longhorn steak house how ever every time I order to go ( 3 days out of the week ) at the South Park meadows location my order is ALWAYS WRong plenty of time I have gotten old hard bread, very nast old potatoes uncooked steak ect. Nothing is ever done but one time I got a gift card. Recently on the 14th I ordered to go and again my order was wrong. Missing my baked potato topping the salad was missing cheese and croutons and the steak was under cooked. I had to throw away the whole meal and all he did was give me a 5 dollar gift card when I spent way more money there. I then called the restaurant and spoke with mason who really didn't seam to concerned just wanted to rush me off the phone. The next day I went in to speak with a manger and mason happened to be there again I just asked him how we could figure something out with the kitchen or cashier so this would not happen again. He then basically told me there's nothing he can do but ask for him he was rude didn't really wanna talk with me or give an other resolution. I eat here about 3-4 times through out the week. Spending about 150-200 per week. I have not ate here since the lack of customer service.

LongHorn Steakhouse order and service

I hesitated my complaint only because of the guy in the to go area being so patient and polite. I went in after calling in an hour in advanced and still waited for an hour and a half once I got there and the staff in the back was yelling out personal business like they were home. I feel if it was less of that talk the orders could have been getting out and the guy wouldn't have to had keep asking the same questions for them to help. I should not know that the employee has all these people sleeping on her couch at home amd how her kids sleep with their father. It made for an uncomfortable visit and the food was mediocre but for the wait it should have been incredible.

LongHorn Steakhouse how my steak was cooked

Dear Longhorn:
I made an online order for a medium coooked 22oz T-bone steak, (please see attachments), on 6/16/18. I specifically asked and placed in writing in the comment section of the order for it NOT to be overcooked, because I have had this problem with the Longhorn in Morrow, GA many times in the past. When I got home, I found the steak to be very well-done with some burning on the outside of the steak. I was very disappointed, especially since I asked them not to overcook it. I could not enjoy steak, and it was too far to drive back, and too late in the evening to take it back. I decided to write to the corporate headquarters because no matter how much I bring it to the store's attention in Morrow, GA, it just keeps happening. So maybe the cooks need to be retrained in how to correctly cook steaks, especially the expensive ones.
Please find attached pictures of the steak along with my order request. Here is my contact information: Victoria Thedford

LongHorn Steakhouse service

I was in long horn steak house on Father's Day and also celebrating a birthday, we had 20 people and were told that everyone had to wait till everyone in the party was there which is fine, by 12 o'clock everyone was there and when the manager on duty was approached just asking about the time amount still waiting to be seated she said that we had to wait for everyone which I explained we are all here she said well she has been counting in a very condescending way and she was just very rude. The manager was not helpful at all she was the most disrespectful of all of you employees. Then another "manager" came out and said she apologized for everything but then she also began to be rude so we left. This was just a horrific experience and you need to definetly work on your customer service, I am also in the service industry for 18 years and I never treated anyone the way your employees treated us.

LongHorn Steakhouse cook of steak and attitude of manager

June 14, 2018, I visited the Longhorn Steak House in Milledgeville, Georgia. There were three of us in the party. We were seated and placed our order. Two of us ordered chowder and this was brought to us in a timely manner. However, the third party ordered salad and she never got it. We waited about twenty minutes and finally were able to track down our waitress and she said it was not her job to get the salad. She did finally go back and check and see why the food runner had not brought it to the table. This was finally brought to her. We kept waiting for our food and finally received it an hour later. I ordered the regular rib eye, asked to be prepared medium, which means pink. When I cut into the steak, it was rare, with blood running all over the plate. I asked them to please take it back and prepare it properly. One of my party also ordered the cowboy ribeye, medium, and his also was rare and he sent it back after having to track down the waitress. His was brought back to him. Mine was not. We asked the waitress to check and see where mine was. She came back and said they didn't know why it wasn't returned. Finally, after another twenty minutes, they brought it to me and i t was completely burned, black all the way through. I refused to accept it. The waitress commented, "I wouldn't eat that either." She asked if I wanted another steak and I said, no, it was already nine o'clock and I would not wait another hour for my food, to just forget it and take it off my bill. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was "expediting". About fifteen minutes later, he did come to the table and I told him the problem. He was very unconcerned about this and if I did not want anything else, they would take it off the bill. Never offered to take care of this by offering something when I came back again and walked off. However, when I got my bill, they did charge me for my drink, which I paid for. This was a very bad experience and I'm sorry you have such an unconcerned manager at this location. His name is Shane Scott and another manager that brought the food out the second time is Rebecca Allison. I left this location without having eaten and was very disappointed in this. Hopefully, you can do something about this.

LongHorn Steakhouse food and service

Hello ma'am or Sir,
My name is Mark Whisnant,
My wife, kids & I came into your longhorn restaurant in Athens, Ga on 6-10-2012 about 6 pm. We all ordered steak, bake potatoes, salad & drinks. We ordered our steaks medium well & well done. When we got our plates the steaks were rare & made my wife and daughter sick! We asked our server to recook steaks & she got an attitude with us she said it will take 30 min or more! She brought our plates back to us 45 mins later. She left and never returned to our table we had to ask another server for help! To treated the way we were in your restaurant was uncalled for! We spent about $100 and we got the worse food and service that night and we eat there often!

Thank you,
Mark Whisnant

LongHorn Steakhouse ribeye steak

I was at the Longhorn Restaurant in Tupelo Miss on May 30 about 3:00 pm. I ordered the rib eye steak meal with 1 side. The steak was had a lot of grizzle in it. I complained to the waitress and she told me she was sorry and they would make it better when I come back. As I checked out I told the guy at the register and he also apologize and told me to come back again and steaks would be better. No offers to make it better as I was eating it or offers of anything else on the menu. I think the that is poor customer service but I still left the 15% gratuity. Why did I do that? Because it was the right thing to do even though the steak was terrible and the customer stinked.

LongHorn Steakhouse management service

I was at the Longhorn steakhouse, I believe on June 1st or June 2nd, We ordered our food, we sat down and ate, my sister did not eat all of her food, she did not eat much of it at all, we had a $65 bill, somehow or another my sister left her food on the table to take home, it was already in boxes and ready to go, but my sister left the boxes of food on the table, once we reached home, we realized that she forgot her food on the table, from there I immediately called the Longhorn steakhouse in Germantown Maryland and tried to get in touch with the manager, the hostess that answered the phone said there was nothing that she could do for me, I asked for a manager and they refused to put a manager on the phone, I called back again and asked for the manager and the person that answered the phone put me on hold for 45 minutes, at that point I hung up and called back and they said there was no manager available, all I would like to do is get a gift card or something to replace my sisters food that she left, I love your establishment, my family and I are good long time patron of your establishment, I do not want all of my money back, I would just like a portion of it back to replace the food that was left on the table, my total bill about $65.00 if you need to reach me you can reach me at area code [protected]

LongHorn Steakhouse food and service at longhorn.

Today I dined alone at Longhorn in Sandusky. I ordered the Napa chicken with a baked potato. First it took too long to be seated, so I sat myself in a booth in the bar. The silverware was dirty, very slow to get ice-tea that I couldn't drink. I think something must have been spilled on the lemon and it left a terrible after-taste in my mouth. I received half a loaf of cold dry bread that I had them remove from my table. The manager said it was orders from corporate to serve half a loaf for one person and after they are cut they tend to dry out. NOT MY PROBLEM. I paid my full bill left a tip and got out of there. Don't even have me start on the waitress. I guess that is a restaurant I should cross off my list and spread the word.

LongHorn Steakhouse steak undercooked

I visited your location in Matthews, NC (Independence Blvd.) Wednesday night, May 23rd. I ordered the Renegade medium; when I cut into my steak it was more like rare. I sent it back, but it came back medium rare.

The waiter wanted to argue that it was a warm pink, even though it was red and still bloody, saying, "that looks like a perfect medium to me." The manager offered to get me something else, but I didn't want anything else. She did remove my dinner from the check. I just wanted you to know about the issue.

LongHorn Steakhouse visit on 5/7/18 with subpar service, food & drink

ID# [protected]
I've completed the survey on the restaurant. (Norman, OK) I have never before complained about a meal but the entire experience was poor. This is a fickle town and unless this location does a 180* turn around, it will fail.
It was a special occasion, my parents were in from Western PA, where the Longhorn location in Cranberry Twp PA is their favorite place to frequently patronize. I was excited to be together with them and dine at their favorite restaurant.
I was embarrassed and disappointed at the entire experience here and feel upset that $141.10 plus tip was paid by my father for such a terrible meal.
No, we never indicated to staff or each other about the experience until later that night when we were home reviewing our day. We all stated no one wanted to complain and overshadow the reason we were all together.
I am sorry to write this complaint, but I understand the importance to be consistent at every location is your company's key to success.
Thank you for providing me an opportunity to relay this information.

LongHorn Steakhouse worst experience/service

I wasn't going to complain because I'm not that type of person but being from this business I don't understand why people like this are hired/allowed to work. The bartender Phil I had this weekend was so inappropriate, condescending, and so awful at his job I will no longer be spending my money at this company. He not only made my simple drink wrong but cursed under his breath as he walked away to make it again in which he didn't even do, just poured an excess amount of tequila ontop of the mistake in clear view while him and a female server loudly cursed by service bar how much they hate people. When my food arrived I had ordered a med rare, parm crusted NY & it was more at the end of pink and simply tried to explain that to Phil but he kept assuring me that I was seeing it wrong and it was med rare. He offered to fix it but let me know the kitchen was very busy and it would be awhile. Then had the ordasity to tell the other bartender in plain sight of me 'can you believe how annoying that guy is'. If your gonna talk [censored] at least go in the back & do it. I'm ashamed that people like this have a job, this longhorns must be desperate for staff. I'm going to tell my network of friends & family not to go this establishment cause this bartender Phil was a disgrace.
