LongHorn Steakhouse meal/service

My husband and I had dinner at the Hampton VA Longhorn tonight.
We have always loved Longhorn for the food and service but no more not after tonight. We ended having two different ladies bring our food out and when our original waitress showed back up she preceded to tell us she was using the bathroom. This is not something we need to know when you are handling our food and beverages.
As we were eating a waitress was cleaning a table adjacent to us and somehow flung salad dressing all the way to our table which landed on my husbands steak. We had to wait for them to cook him another steak in the meantime my food sat getting cold because we went to have dinner TOGETHER.
When they brought his new plate of food out they hadn't replaced the fries and they were cold. I had ordered my steak medium and only half of it was cooked correctly the other half was raw and inedible. The waitress asked if I was done and I told her yeah that there was no way I could eat raw steak and she just giggled.
She nor anyone else offered their apologies for our bad experience nor were we ever thanked.
This issue needs to be addressed as theor was no manager on duty or so we were told.

LongHorn Steakhouse 2 parmesan crusted chicken meal

After experiencing my mule being very hard last weekend I was sent a gift certificate online so giving it another try today I experienced my broccoli was very hard and watery after speaking with the supervisor Chaz which location of the longhorn is off of Gallatin Road in Goodlettsville Tennessee he told me to just warm up my broccoli and it'll be okay I explain to him that the meal was not cheap so I shouldn't have to re cook what should have already been cooked when clearly it was not cooked completely at all after letting him know that I wasn't calling to be rude I was calling to let him know what I am experiencing me and my husband experience the same thing with very hard and watery broccoli after taking down my information he continued to tell me sorry for the very expensive broccoli you ordered that ruin your night which I thought was very rude and disrespectful considering the mistake wasn't on me.

LongHorn Steakhouse long wait with more than half of tables empty. hostess was very rude!

My husband, daughter, grand baby and I walked into the Avon, Indiana Longhorn
on Thursday, May 17 around 6:15. There were several people waiting to be seating with
over half of the tables empty. We were told by the hostess it would be 20 minutes and my husband asked why they weren't seating people as empty as they were. The hostess rudely asked are you going to wait or what? My husband went over where 2 managers were standing doing nothing and told them their hostess was rude and that people would rather be seated and wait there than to stand and wait for a table.
They replied that they didn't have the staff. A good manager would step up and help with waiting on customers. We have been eating at this Longhorn for many years and don't know that we will ever return. Your customers are who keep your business going so I would think you would bend over backwards to make sure they are totally satisfied with your service.

And if the managers were doing waiter duties, you'd be whining because they weren't around to listen to your complaints. If they don't have the staff, they don't have the staff.

LongHorn Steakhouse whole experience

ordered Outlaw Ribeye told waitress I had a coupon - husband didn't get his salad before food came out - was never asked how things were because if we had been asked we would have told the waitress. We were never asked if we needed our drinks refilled and when she brought our check it was for the original price not the discounted amt. She brought my husband his salad after he asked and he advised he would like the salad to go. She then brought him a salad half the size of the original one. It had salad dressing all over it and no croutons. Mgr said not getting salad out before meal was unacceptable and took off $5, to me this is unacceptable. We eat at Longhorn and spend over $50 each time but this was just a bad experience.

LongHorn Steakhouse food

Hello,

We arrived at our local Longhorn restaurant around 8 PM on Mother's Day and our main course arrived roughly 9:10PM . Three out of the Flo's Filets were well done. The waitress took our order as Medium Well (some pink). We asked for new steaks and when 9:40 arrived we received them along with an apology from the manager and waitress. The manager was nice enough to reduce our bill by 50% but given the fact it was Mother's Day and our children treated her to a nice dinner it really didn't compensate for the incompetency of the cooks. We have always been great fans of Longhorn's but this incident has put a damper on it.

LongHorn Steakhouse service and food

I came for dinner at the bar around 5:30pm on Nay 2, 2018. My daughter and I ordered our drinks and food. My water did not have the lemon that I asked for in it. I asked for all flats when I ordered my wings, the baretender came back with drumsticks. She put our order in "to go" instead of eating there, we got no bread until we had to ask. When my filet came, it had a bug on the plate and my daughters broccoli was soggy and mixed in with the brown sugar from her filet. When we notified the manager, a young server who was not our server told us we should sit somewhere else to avoid the bugs. We come here very often and there is always an issue with either our steak or the customer service. Diane served us this time and a a time before. She is very unprofessional, always in a hurry and we have to constantly beg for her attention. She treated us as if she did not want to be bothered.

LongHorn Steakhouse customer service was awful

On 4/29 I went to the North Charleston location and received possibly the worst service I have ever experienced, My friend got us a table around 9ish, and arrived prepared to order for the two of us, as we were aware the restaurant closed at 10 and we did not want to be inconsiderate. I arrived about 9:20 once I got off work, the waitress had acknowledged that my friend was waiting for someone prior to my arrival. She came to the table about 10 minutes after I got there and took my drink order, then quickly walked away before we could let her know we were ready. She did not come back to the table until almost 10pm to take our order. I could tell others in our section were frustrated with the lack of service, so I did my best to remain polite. Still having no bread after being there as long as we were, I had to ask her to bring some, which she did several minutes later. I ordered an 8oz filet, and my friend ordered a t-bone, two expensive cuts of meat. We both ordered our food medium. When it came out, she left it on the table and immediately walked away, not even waiting for us to cut into our meat to ensure it was the right temperature. To my dismay, my filet was basically well done. She came back to bring one of my sides that didn't come out with my meal, and says "oh is your steak overdone?" I politely said "yes mam, but its ok". I was ashamed at the thought of wasting an expensive cut, knowing it'd be thrown away. She said "ok!" and quickly walked away. After another bite of the steak, I realized that I could not eat it, it just did not taste good and was very tough for a filet. It literally took another 10 minutes to track her down to ask for another steak...she was nowhere to be found. Finally, she came back and put in another order. When she brought the new steak, she did the same thing, just dropped it at the table and didn't wait for me to cut into it. This time, my filet was literally medium rare. I ended up eating it without saying anything because I did not want to be wasteful. Not once did the manager on duty check on our table, apologize for the incorrectly prepared food, nothing. By this point, my water, which had not been refilled once, was empty. Our waitress eventually came back over and didn't offer us desert, she had just told another table the kitchen was closed. Considering there would have been plenty of time to eat our entire meal if our waitress had taken our order and been attentive to us from the beginning, we asked for 2 molten lava cakes, knowing they just have to be heated. Mine came out extremely sloppy, the presentation was displeasing. She brought our checks, didn't refill my water, and walked away. I still tipped almost 20%, feeling as if she wouldn't get the hint that the service was bad from a lack of tip, that she'd likely credit it to my young age. We left, and right when I walked out the door I realized I left my receipt, which I needed, as I am in town for business. I immediately walked back to the door, which was locked, and was stared at by multiple employees. Finally, someone came to the door. I explained that Id left my receipt and had just walked out. The girl literally said, "Oh….yeah she probably already threw it out, sorry." Then proceeded to stare at me, while I watched my waitress looking at her credit card receipts as she sat at the bar. At this point I was extremely upset, so I walked to my car and figured I'd call in the morning to get my receipt. I called and was passed to the manager, Melissa, who was not at all helpful, and slightly rude. I explained that I had left my receipt and needed a copy printed, leaving out the fact that the service was awful and that this could have been avoided if the girl had just checked with my waitress, who I'm sure hadn't thrown out my receipt considering she had atleast the copy with the tip id left. Melissa said "I mean do you have any information that will help me?" I'm thinking to myself…what information, that's why I'm calling…She finally asked for my waitress's name or the check amount. My waitress never told me her name, but I gave her the amount of my bill. She said "Well I'm really busy right now and this takes a while so I'll just have to call you when lunch is over". I politely said thank you and hung up, holding in my frustration yet again. She never called me back. That evening, I called and spoke with both Katie and matt who were very helpful. I have been a waitress, I have been a bartender, I have worked off commission. I know what customer service should be like, for I am currently a manager for a large corporation myself. I spend all day taking care of customers and ensuring a good experience, I expect the same when I go out. This was truly disappointing and I will not be dining at this location again.

LongHorn Steakhouse not having call ahead seating

Last fall in 2017, a new Longhorn Steakhouse opened in Paducah, KY. I can't say enough about how great the food is, but the wait time is absolutely ridiculous. When it first opened, we were told by a manager that call ahead seating would become available in a 3 months to give them time to get everything up and running smoothly. Tomorrow will be May 1st, 2018, and call ahead seating is still not available. A few weeks ago we went there at 5:30 pm for a party of 6. We were told the wait time would be around 45 minutes. An hour past, we asked for an update and they said your are next on the list. Other people were being seated, so in 15 minutes we asked again, got the same answer. Asked again at 7:00 pm and they were cleaning a table off for us. We asked why others were being seated ahead of us and were told because they didn't have many tables that 6 people could sit at. There was another table behind us that seated 8 that was empty and cleaned. We asked why they didn't they seat up there, and was told because it could seat more and held it for a party of 8.

There needs to be better supervision and management sent to his restaurant to observed and figure out better seating arrangements. Seems they could have seated us at the bigger table instead of making us wait for a table for 6 to become available. Or, they should be able to pull two tables together to make the accommodation. We asked for a manager and asked when where they going to start the "Call ahead seating". He was very polite and seemed to be honest, but he did not know and mentioned they needed to add more tables before they could start call ahead seating and didn't know when that was going to take place.

You have a great business, but someone from higher up the chain of command needs to come to this restaurant and investigate what can be done to make better seating arrangements and start the "Call of Seating" right away. Plus, the help needs to be skilled on making the Call ahead seating, so it will be successful.

I don't mean to sound like a complainer, but merely making constructive suggestions in making this restaurant a better experience for all your customers.

Respectfully,
Betty Conkwright

LongHorn Steakhouse error in seating

We attended the Longhorn Steakhouse at Webb Ginn, Snellville, GA. The manager's name was Omar. We arrived and gave the hostess our name. She was dealing with an unhappy customer and asked that we give her a few minutes to get our table cleaned. We waited 15 minutes, while we were awaiting, four different parties were seated before us. Even one party that walked in the door was seated immediately. I finally went to the hostess station to see why we had not been seated and was unstructed to see the hostess. The person who told us to see the hostess stated she was just a server. She did nothing to try to assist us. Finally the manager and the hostess walks over to the hostess station and asked what was the problem. We informed them of the situation and the manager apologized for the wait and took us to a table right by the KITCHEN. I asked if we could move to another table, because that area was very busy. He said, yes, but it would take a few minutes to get the tabled cleaned. So we waited AGAIN. Finally, my husband and I agreed that it was best if we left. The entire resturant seemed to be unorganized and we felt it would take quite sometime to receive our food.

LongHorn Steakhouse manager

I was at the North Brunswick, NJ location on Thursday evening on April 26, 2018 with two friends. We frequent that location quite often. We were sitting at the bar enjoying a drink and conversation. I went outside for 5 minutes leaving my pocketbook, phone, etc inside. To my shock the door was locked and I could not get back inside. I knocked on the door and the manager flatout ignored me. I waved her over and through the locked glass door she refused to let me in to collect my personal belongings. She told me my friends would have to bring my belongings outside. I was very upset and felt like I was treated like a criminal. I understand they lock the door for security reasons, however, I was not just arriving, I was at the bar for a while and the manager clearly knew that. As we all know customer service is what keeps a business thriving. Her actions were very unprofessional and rude. I will be contacting the managing partner regarding this and want to know what repercussions will be taken.

LongHorn Steakhouse your treatment of employees

I am very disappointed in the way you treat your employees. You care nothing about them and support them in no way. They are just a number to you. Walmart has this same method with their employees and their are several people that will not shop with them because of that.

I will not continue to support a company or any business affiliated with this company because of its support for poor moral activities while throwing offering no support or chance for a good faithful employee.

My plan is to encourage others to do the same.

LongHorn Steakhouse service

A few weeks ago my family and I vistited the 4899 Sheridan St, Hollywood, FL 33021 location. We did a call party for five people. We arrived at the restaurant fifteen/twenty minutes after our call party. When we walked, there was no one waiting to be seated. We gave our name, and the host advised us that it would be fifteen minutes. No problem, we went outside and waited. After fifteen minutes, we expected to be seated. The host said it will be a little longer, there were no tables. That was a big fat lie. The restaurant was not busy at all to make us wait longer than we already have. As I went to use the restroom there were three big tables that were not cleaned off. So, I could understand making us wait because there were people sitting at those tables, but were are waiting because you have incompetent staff who instead of cleaning off tables, is standing around talking. That is not acceptable. Then finally a waiter comes over, who was very pleasant and attentive, and we place the order. Everyone food comes out correct but I ordered my steak medium, it came out rare. So by the time my food came back out everyone was finished. I understand things happen, but this store is not being ruined properly. This was not the first time at this location, nor was this the first time something happened because of incompetence. I just never complained about it hoping this would get better.
Regards,
Michelle Berman

LongHorn Steakhouse bug in my food

My husband and I were eating at longhorn last night, when the waiter brought me my salad there was a live bug (cockroach)crawling on it. When I jumped and said there is a bug on my salad the waiter apologized and quickly took it away. He came back a little later and said for my inconvenience he offered me a free dessert, which I didn't take because I'm a diabetic. So before we left he gave me a free appetizer card. I was never offered to talk to a manager. Many people have told me I should have reported it to the health department. I really like longhorn and never had any complaints in the past. I am not the type to ask for a free meal, but I would have thought they would at least taken my meal off my bill. I was wondering what your thoughts are.

LongHorn Steakhouse hostess/manager

Tonight I was very very disappointed. I have been coming to this Longhorn for years since it opened and to have a manager lie, not acceptable. He tried to cover his track by being a liar and thinking he could pacify customers. He should've listened and addressed the situation. When I see him there I will walk out will not stay with that manager Ralph there. As for the hostess Leny, she was very nasty and rude. Then when questioned her responses well now you are going to have to wait even longer. We had been there well over 40 minutes having called in on our way, and watching other customers come in who didn't call putting their names on the list. We had asked for a booth and to see the other customers who came in after us who did not call in, get the booths not once not twice but three times this happen, because this hostess was just plain nasty. Was very disappointed on my entry.

There was a little good news and outcome from this. Amy our waiter was very professional and charming. She needs to be recognized, and commended on her great customer service skills. There is also another young lady Casey, who assisted and was quite charming as well her services were also great.

LongHorn Steakhouse flo's filet

I visited Long Horns on Thursday; party of 2. The greeting was as should have been, we were seated quickly. We were given menus and drink orders were taken. Drinks served, orders taken. I ordered the pork porterhouse, my friend ordered Flo's filet medium. When the steak was served it didn't look like the Flo's filet. It was very well done. When the server came back by to check if everything was ok. We showed her the well done steak and also asked about the size and shape of Flo's filet. It was less than an inch high and oblong in shape. We were given a new steak and hot potato. The size and shape of the filet were just like the other one and this steak was rare not medium. I had finished with my meal. The pork chop was dry but had a nice flavor. The server said that who ever butchered the steak didn't do a good job. She offered to have the steak cooked a bit more. We declined and packed it up to take home. Because of the way the steak was cut it was very tough. We were very disappointed in our visit.

My husband and I went with another couple to the longhorn restaurant on rte 41 in Fort Myers. Upon entering the building I thought I could smell something not pleasant. After being seated and getting our drinks, I noticed the smell was really bad. The rugs in the place were disgustingly dirty. I'm sure that's where the smell was coming from as it smelled like dirt. We ate our dinner and it was okay, but I will never go back again and I will make sure that everyone else that I know is aware of the situation.. No restaurant should have dirty carpets. If the carpets are dirty and we can see that I wonder what the kitchen looks like that is hidden..

LongHorn Steakhouse rude manager/cashback from gift card/ poor service store #3620

On 03/25/2018 @18:25 My husband and came in for dinner. When greeter asked how many in party. Tim stated 2 for a table please. We don't like booths. Greeter stated approximately a 5 minute wait. We told them that we would sit at bar until called. My husband received a text message conforming seating. We were called and the sweater took us to a booth. We told him we asked for a table not a booth. He threw his hands up and said there no tables available for at least an hour now. We saw 2 tables put together and asked if we could use one of them he stated no. So we went back to the bar and sat and asked to speak with the manager. We told her what had happened she said she was sorry. She didn't even have a talk with sitter on his behavior. So we waited and then decided to pay for our drinks and leave. Time now was 18:44 . We paid with our gift card and told the bar tender we wanted our cash back due to another bad experience. We were not going to come to restaurant again. We asked to see manager again to explain about the incident that happened last month . She came over and we told her that last month we had a bad experience . We had ordered the Wensday special 9.99 steak fries and beverage. They brought dinners out I cut into mine it was tough and grisly (medium cooked). She took it back for a redo it took another 30 min so i had to get my dinner to go. My husband was already finished with his. We explained this to manager that we had 2 bad visits so we would like the balance of gift card back. She stated you can go to the one in Maumee. So she was not getting that we gave up on the restaurant. Which upseted my husband and he stated that's a bunch of [censor]. Manager then stated sir no swearing in my restaurant. We then left and told her we persue this further. I know there are rules but in some cases there are always exceptions. I feel the Manager could of handled the situation properly. Just gave us our change any maybe then we would go back . It might take a year but you would of not have lost to customers. You see this location is convient for us we just live off off Sadalia Road. So i hope someone can resolve this issue. The bartender even suggested we give it away. Why would we recommend this establishment considering the way we were treated.
Thank You
Mr. and Mrs. Kuyouth

My husband and I ate while on vacation in TN and chose one night to eat at the Longhorn in Sevierville, TN. My husband was so hungry for a good steak. This was on March 27th. The waiter took our order and there was a longer than usual wait. The restaurant was not crowded at all and it was only about 3:00 p.m. When our steaks arrived, we cut into them and they were not at all pink inside even though we order ours to be medium rare. They were also tough and difficult to cut. My husband is against sending back food for fear of what they might do to the food they bring back. I'm sorry but we have watched too many horror stories on this. The waiter apologized and I explained that we would not send them back for an exchange even though this was never offered. The waiter came back to the table and said he realized it was not the cook's fault but his. He wrote "medium" not "medium rare". Even if they had cooked it medium it was not even medium - it was well done. He left and came back and said he was going to give us $10.00 off the bill. We did not have a manager come to the table. I feel the whole bill should have been written off. We could not eat the steak. It was so disappointing. The waiter was a kind man and we still tipped him well for his kindness and being apologetic but the meal was a total waste.
