french doors
Started out nice BUT...Ordered french doors for our sunroom and was disappointed that I couldn't have the full glass because we needed a dog door installed. The gentleman in the store was nice and showed us (my daughter sent me pictures and I talked to the gentleman via phone because I am handicapped) the dog doors available and helped us pick out the right size. When the french doors showed up, there was no dog door to be installed and the man who originally helped us was no longer there. Now I have no dog door and I can't even see out into my backyard from my chair. They insist that we need to pay for the dog door and having it installed even though we went to all of the trouble of coordinating exactly what we ordered. We were having them put in a 6 ft vinyl fence in the back yard, but we told them to forget it We want someone dependable. They lost a $7500 fence budget over the principle of a $130 dog door. Very Poor customer service and planning.
he washing machine
I bought this washing machine the 1st of the year. I contacted Lowes about the noise it makes all the time, well they sent a representative to check it out and he said there was a penny in the bottom, he said said solve the problem, well it didn't it makes terrible noise all the time. I will tell you one thing if I ever get another washing machine it want be HE. I got a sister in-law that had one it is quiet. So what is Magtag going to do about this terrible washing machine. I despise to wash anytime because of the awful noise.
Is the complaint for Lowes or Maytag?
I've got a considerable amount of background within the industry and may be of some help. To begin with, ALL washers are now required to be compliant with today's HE standard, but there are some that are considered cross-over models which can run in a fuller tub mode. Maytag does have such under its branding.
Having a 'noisy' machine isn't specific enough to pinpoint the exact issue or if it is a problem at all. It's very possible that all you're hearing is the standard motion noise that any washing machine can make albeit which will be different with any particular unit. It may also be that something else is responsible for the 'noise' which has yet to be discovered. It make sense that, if a penny was found within the unit, it could have easily been the cause of the issue. The place to begin is with the question, "Is this noise any different than when the machine was first purchased?" If it is a new noise, I'd contact the service representative again to have them come back out to readdress the problem.
ordering special order door, storm door and frame
I had the door area send out a contractor to measure for a new front door May 2017. At that time the Larson storm door that I had purchased from Lowes three years prior was no longer working. The contractor told me to call Larson and they would replace so I could have all done at same time. I contacted Larson and gave the number on the door. She told me that door was 10 years old and that I could not have purchased 3 years ago. I told her I had. She replied that either Lowes is selling ten year old merchandise or I was a liar. I called Lowes and three difference people searched for records of my purchase including the manager Courtney and no one could prove I bought the door there. Having just had surgery and a bad recovery I finally gave up and stopped fighting. A week later my refrigerator died and I went in and put the door on hold and purchased a $1600 LG refrigerator from there but told them to keep my measurement on file that I would purchase the door in a few months after this unexpected expense.
I returned last week to now purchase my door. My file was no where to be found. The man working in that department called the contractor three times to keep getting information from him. The fourth time he called they had closed or the night so I would have to come back the next day. The next morning I came in the store to complete my order. The man working that day tried for half an hour and the contractor would not answer any of his phone numbers. Finally frustrated he asked if another vendor could come measure but I was going to have to meet him next day during my lunch hour since he was busy that day. I did this so I could get this moving along. That evening I once again go back to the store to finish my order. The man working this evening reviewed and printed it all out but said a manager had to sign off on it. He called the manager Jason who said call Tyler and get him to do it. So Allen then called Tyler. He told him I was waiting and needed this signed. I stood there for 20 minutes with nothing. My child with was me tired and hungry and Tyler was no where to be found. finally Allen said we could go up front and find him. On the way we pass the manager Jason working behind he rekey counter looking over the shoulder of another employee. He saw us go by and I slowed and asked Allen cant he sign and Jason made eye contact with me and Allen said no he was busy. I followed him to the front and waited another 15 minutes for Tyler who still never showed up. I finally said forget it. I will take my 1600 dollars elsewhere and left. I filed a complaint that night on the customer care line with Lowes. I was told I would hear back from the corporate office within 24 hours. During the next day I tried to call the manager Courtney but she was not in. I got a phone message from Jason but as he was part of the complaint didn't want to deal with him. I called back last night to corporate office and was told I would not hear back from them. The store would handle. When I asked for the Marketing Directors name and number for that region he said "NO". He said I had to deal with the store and could not go around the process. Carl the supervisor in customer care said that " they have no power over their stores". So now I am still without a door and Lowes will never see me go through their doors again. I am shocked that a company would shrug off a sale and even worse treat people in this manner.
kitchen remodel
I paid Lowes over $30K for a kitchen remodel to start in June 2017. I received the cabinets on June 12th. Contractor did not start demolition until July 18th and did not put in cabinets until August 18th only after I had to call Lowes and chew them out. After that nothing done until Sept 20 and only after I called the store manager and chewed him out. Now it is Oct 6th and very little done.
They have messed up almost every aspect of the process causing multiple delays, they show up for an hour or two if that once a week to do one little thing. They say they will be out on a specific day and do not show up. They have tried twice to get me to pay more money to them before they would do anything further. I am beyond angry right now. I tried to call corporate but they just put you on hold, and when I told the lady at Lowes that I was going to call someone she basically said they would only have me call the store. No one seems to give a crap about getting my job done. I want all the money I paid them on top of the cost of the materials, for a job they never provided to me. I am tired of having my life and house held hostage by an unreliable contractor and a store that does not care, since they already have their money.
remote control
The remote transmitter batteries drains too quickly.I Own two other ceiling fans Hampton bay and hunter. The hunter remote battery is the original after 6yrs.and so is the Hampton bay. The harbor breeze, on tne other hand battery only last about two to three months because there is a useless light on the remote that drains the battery. with the batteries i have replaced, i could of bought another fan, not remote transmitter
age discrimination in their hiring practices
Lowes will not hire anyone over age 50 even if the applicant has years of customer service experience, or knows Lowes products like the back of their hand. Sure there are a few Lowes store employees over 50 but they have been there quite awhile already. Look at who works the floor there and you will see a LOT of young people who wouldn't know a drywall screw from a 6d nail. No kidding, if you want to know something about a product then best to ask a customer instead, or google the product and watch a youtube video. The last couple years that I have walked into the north Spokane Lowes store I have witnessed 3 or more Lowes employees all jaw-jacking about whatever while completely ignoring myself and other customers as we walk by the kids wearing red vests. My experience with Ace hardware is 100% the opposite and they continue to get my business for anything that I can get from Ace. Screw Lowes and their anti-baby boomer corporate attitude.
I am 68 years old man. I have worked for Home Depot and Lowe’s. I have applied for a position in garden center and was told that they have found someone more qualified.
From age 15 to 27 I work in Home and Garden Center. During which time I received a degree in biology. I worked for almost 30 years in environmental field.
I semi retired and work for Lowe’s for over a year in their garden center. Then I work for Home Depot for a year. Last year I received a certification for landscaping and gardening.
Couple of months ago I applied to Lowe’s for the garden center. I was turned down. A few weeks ago I reapply and received a letter saying that they had someone else more qualified. I am not sure how they could’ve found anybody more qualified. The only thing I can think of is that it was because of my age.
lowe's located in murfreesboro tennessee
It is the current practice to discount the veteran purchases it is the practice of this store to say thanks to the veteran when they show their veteran id then ring up the purchase and then say oh I can't do the discount now once the sale rung up. Today that costed us at least $12.00 in discounts I would be more than happy to mail you and receipt. This practice must be stopped.

delivery of 4 appliances. stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher
On August, 2, 2017 I ordered these 4 appliances online. When I called the following day to schedule delivery I was told the order was cancelled. I went back online and reordered the same products. Again they were cancelled. On August 4th, 2017 I drove to Lowes in Bradley, Il and placed the same order in person. We set up the delivery date to be Tuesday, August 22nd, between 7:30 am and 9:30 am (per the call I received the night before). My husband stayed home from work to received the appliances, which never came. I received a call around 10:30 a.m. stating that my delivery would be late due to a break down on the truck, but they should be there between 11 and 11:30 a.m. they did not show up. I left work that evening around 6 pm, I called my husband to see if the delivery had been made and he said no, he was not happy that he had to miss the whole day of work, so I called the store and was told they do not deliver in the evening, at that point I was not to happy, my response was you obviously do not deliver in the morning or afternoon, so when do you deliver? I was put on hold and told they would still be making the delivery. The truck showed up about 7:30 pm. with the appliances saying they had to work a double because a complete crew had not showed up that day, (so there was no truck breakdown) These delivery guys started removing the stove and refrigerator from their boxes and laying the refrigerator on its side to cut the box open, the one guy smashed the top of the box that contained the stove, they then tried to bring the refrigerator in through the front door, I asked if they wanted to bring it around back as we have patio doors and they said no, they continued to try an squeeze it through in the process scratched the door really bad, they took off the bottom door and the handles on the door. After they set them in the kitchen I noticed how scratched up the door was and the top of the stove was smashed from the way it had been opened. I called the store and they said they deliver a new stove and refrigerator on Saturday August 26th, no problem. Again they did not show up at the scheduled time. I had to have a friend wait because at that point another half day my husband had lost work. This time they were different delivery guys and they came with a new stove and refrigerator door only (with no shelves on the door) again the stove was damaged. I explained to the store that the delivery people were the ones damaging these appliances and they refused to use the back door. I call the store again and they promised I would get a new stove and refrigerator delivered on Saturday Sept 2nd because they didn't have any in the store. I said fine. Then on Friday Sept 1st I get a call from the Store saying they can't deliver because they have 20 deliveries ahead of mine. I said ok WHEN, we can't miss anymore work. He said Sunday, Sept 3rd. I said ok. I received the call the night before that they would deliver between 4 pm and 6 pm on Sunday. So at 9:30 Sunday morning I went shopping. At 10:00 a.m. the doorbell is ringing my husband gets up and they are there to make the delivery. They did bring the refrigerator and stove and they used the back door and the products were ok, but the delivery people were very rude and ignorant. Yelling at my husband because he told them he would hook them up, they didn't even know to put grates on the top of the stove they put them in the oven, and they were complaining that their were no shelves on the refrigerator doors. I never had ANY! I had already spent thousands of dollars in cash and on my credit card at Lowe's before this all happened and my friends kept saying go to Menards. I should have listened. I think it's unfair to blame Whirlpool for this product being damaged. Lowe's offered me $68.00 to keep a damaged stove, I told them if I wanted used I would have gone to a thrift store. I am so upset that I had to wait and missed having the party I was going to have because I had no appliances in my new home and no one even apologized for all the inconvenience and the way we were treated by these delivery people. I guess I will listen and us Menards and Home Depot in the future we still have many items to finish our home. I went to Lowe's because they do Honor our Veterans and my Husband is a Veteran. I just think this needs to be addressed to the third party delivery people that make Lowe's look bad, then The store has the nerve to tell me that I'm the first complain they've ever had...Hard to believe.

I'm sure I will not hear from anyone, but I had to let someone know.
Simple as it may seem, the solution would have been to just cancel the order and go somewhere else.
troy built lawn tractor and the customer service
My husband and i bought a troy built lawn tractor on june 2, 2017. the transaction # is [protected]. the sales #is s2968re1 1998518. 3 yr epp ope $1000 - $1499.99 item #: 731595 $199.97. ho6307 130x79bt011 $1399.00 to horse 20 hp kohler 46-in. the invoice #85190. we explained what kind of yard we have (which is all hills), we also got the extended warranty so that if anything happened it would be covered. we encourage just found out that the warranty doesn't cover the engine or fuel system. the tractor has not worked right since we bought it. when coming up the hill it spits, sputters, and dies out. the technician that came out to the house said that the warranty will not cover this problem. he said that lowes should not have sold us that mower, because it is a gravity fed fuel filter and we needed the fuel injected one. we went into the store today to get our money back on the warranty, because the warranty is of no use to us if they won'the fix anything. the people at the store said that someone will give us a call in about 5 days to see if we want a check or store credit. this is unacceptable. we still have to get our mower fixed and have to pay for it ourselves, without the money to do so. my other complaint is that almost everyone that we spoke to about this problem has been rude and accusing us of customer abuse with the mower. i have been insulted for many things but never before have i been told that i have abused my own equipment. i will not be shopping at any of the lowes stores ever again. my husband was told by someone at corporate that it sounded to her that the mower is working fine and it is not! the customer service in your stores is terrible. the money was taken off of my debit card and should be returned the same way, so weven don'the have to wait for a check to clear the bank.
buying a washer and wd installation
This complain for Lowe's, 750 Newhall Dr, San Jose, CA 95110
Back to July 2017,
I bought five items, spent about 8K and expected at least some courtesy...
First, the delivery was rescheduled many times. Second, they sold me a display item without saying anything and did lie up to the manager, that all items boxed and new. I found it anyway, when was delivered, the washer had no box and covered by blanket...
I called, they denied. I asked the delivery guys, they tried to hide the truth, but eventually confirmed.
I run to Lowe's directly to the appliances department and no doubt noticed the washer display item was gone.
Asked what was going on, was able to get only 10% off.
Now, what about to schedule the installation...
The house was under construction, finally it's ready for WD installation/connection.
I called two weeks ago to schedule on Friday, Sep 15th, 2017. My bf got a text confirmation on TH, Sep 14th, they should come 8:30-10:30.
We were waiting the whole day at home, I used my unpaid PTO...
No one came, many calls later and lies that delivery ppl did not find us at home and not coming even back, and they took a picture of the house. What house? Two adults and a dog home with the garage door opened and we were desperately waiting...
I tried to call again, was put on hold, no one called back as was promised...
Many calls later, really upset, again re-scheduled for today, 8-10 AM, Monday, Sep 18th.
Guess what?!? No one came, no one even bothered to call!
We are giving up... I'm thinking to drug WD back and return. We disconnected the old ones, we cannot do laundry for two weeks!
SOS! HELP NEEDED!
credit card
They decided after 2 years to lower my credit amount by $ 1900 with no explanation and in turn screwed up my credit score due to the sudden drop.
I have almost no balance and have been on time with my payments so there was no reason for the drop in credit and now that my limit is 200 there is no reason to even use the card, in turn i am paying off the remainder and closing my account and will be shopping with home depot from here on out
stay away from lowes credit card accounts!
oh my god i opened up loves cc in july 2017 and probably made about 2000 in charges and paid every week never mind monthly and suspended my card saying contact trans union and i did and they said there were no problem at all other than obtaining a few extra credit cards how in gods name can they suspend my account
extended service plan
First of all, I want to tell everyone not to shop at Lowe's for major appliances OR buy their extended service/protection plan. We purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator/freezer from Lowe's as well as the extended protection plan. The handle which is used to open the freezer door broke. Specifically, there are plastic pieces inside the freezer door that broke, which renders the unit useless. Let me add that this issue is not cosmetic. Anyway, Lowe's refused to honor the warranty and replace the door because it is "unintentional damage" and therefore the repair is not covered. This makes no sense to me because the protection plan covers "normal wear and tear." Also, once a service technician advises Lowe's that the damage is unintentional damage, the repair cannot be re-reviewed. Please make note of this if you are indeed buying a major appliance and/or an extended protection plan from Lowe's.
lowes customer service
I special ordered 3 items from Lowes. Never again. The first item came damaged. The second item was shattered and the third item was lost "in transit".
The shocker is I ordered the last item on line and it stated it was ready for pick-up. Nope. Not ready. They need to update their system to reflect the actual location of said item.
Customer service only give s you lip. I ordered my item on the 2nd, it was suppose to arrive on the 9th and here it is the 12th (ready for pick-up) and its no where in sight. Agent said it was due to the hurricane Irma. The hurricane did not make landfall till Sunday the 10th. Then when asked to speak with a supervisor you are subjected to interrogation BEFORE being connected. Terrible communication skills.
When I ordered an item at Home Depot, not only it arrive intact and unbroken but a day early. If you have a lot of time (such as months) then use Lowes but if your time frame is tight go somewhere else.
we ordered a new fence november 5 2019 paid in full took over 3 weeks to come in wating for the installers to come started on the fence, said will be done in 2 days . great i said . then we had a problem 1 post and panel short .we will expedite them .said gilbert fence dept. 3 weeks have gone by and still no finish product . its past 2 months the fence is open near the road, so animals or people can walk right in our property . we called numerous times we will get back to you, no one calls . today is the 8 of january still not done . dennis konkey contract no.0582886.
We recently purchased a Husquavarna riding mower from Lowe"s in Beaumont TX . I used it 1 time & the mower belt busted I noticed that the gasket was coming out of the deck bearing & it was hard to turn.after returning the mower to the store & explaining the problem we were told that they would have it repaired.2 weeks later it is sitting outside the store in what they call the bull pen in the rain.all that was done was a new deck belt Hello if I bring it back home & the bearing locks up the belt will break & I will have to return again. I have left messages for the store manager to call me but silence is all I get.maybe I look into legal advice on getting this off my bill.
lowes protection plan for a refrigerator
9-6-17 I am still currently waiting on my food spoilage decision from LPP. They have given me the run around for over a month. I have called and everytime I speak to someone it's the same song and dance. "We are so sorry. Our claims dept is so backed up right now. We will expedite your claim. Please note that we have 15 days to respond to the expedite request". I asked them what happens after the 15 days. They said they then will have another 5 days after the 15 then after that there isn't anything they can do after that point. What?/ REally? That's such a joke. I really can't believe this is legal. It's like I tell them. This is something that I paid for. You didnt' give it to me with the purchase.
refrigerator
On August 4th, 2017 my wife and I ordered a GE French Door refrigerator from the Lowe's location in Waxhaw, NC which we paid for by credit card. We asked that the unit be delivered and installed no later than August 18th since we would be out of town for a week after that date. We were assured that the delivery date was acceptable. We received a call the day before to confirm the delivery/installation time which was a 2 hour window. The delivery time came and went with no calls from Lowe's to advise of any problems. Finally, I called the delivery number and was told that the unit was not in a place that the delivery group could access and the unit would not be delivered. We set an new delivery time for August 26th. We did not receive a confirming phone call the evening prior to verify the 2 hour window for the delivery so at 9:00 pm I called the delivery number and was told that the unit would be delivered between 8:30 and 10:30 am on the 26th. 10:30 came and went and no phone calls from anyone so at 12:00 I called the delivery number and was told the unit was damaged and it would have to be re-ordered. Again, the communication between the customer and Lowe's is non-existent at best. They don't even respect their customers to update them if problems arise .Even when I copied the President of Lowe's (Robert.A.[protected]@lowes.com) it didn't seem to make a difference. I have copied him on multiple occasions and have not yet heard from him or any of his direct reports. All I get is the run around.
After these 2 failed attempts I told the representative to cancel the order! I told them I would purchase the refrigerator elsewhere which I did. The customer service representative said that she had cancelled the order on the 26th. A day latter I receive an e-mail informing me my purchase had been delivered and my credit card was charged $2, 107.56. I immediately called customer service and was told a credit had been issued. As of 2:36 pm on September 6th I have received no credit to my account. I will never purchase big ticket items from Lowe's in the future even if I have to pay more.
delivery damages
I purchased A refrigerator in may that was to be delivered in 3 weeks. It ended up taken 5 weeks to be delivered. I had to keep calling the store for updates and was told excuses that employees called off on several occasions delaying the delivery. When they did finally show up at my house without a phone call I was at work but they said they could take it in the house without me there. When I got home I found my entry door damaged and the new freezer door damaged. I did call the store and was told someone would be out to fix the entry door and a new freezer door would be ordered. I can't get an answer when I call now. I just keep getting past around and am still waiting almost 3 months now. I have a new refrigerator sitting my hallway that is taking up room and didn't even plug it in yet. When I asked was told I can't even return it because it's past 30 days. I don't want to throw away a two thousand dollar appliance and have to fix my recently install entry door just because they couldn't make a phone call or send an experienced delivery person
purchase & install a standard dishwasher
I ordered a standard dishwasher from Lowes on Aug 7 and I was told at that time, I would be called on Aug 22 or 23 to schedule the install date. It is Aug 30 and I CANNOT find out the status of my dishwasher. I call the store in Mission Valley, CA and they constantly hang-up on me and/or we get disconnected and they never call me back. I called corporate customer care and they experienced the same issue with that store. The corporate customer care associate finally provided me status which was "My dishwasher was just delivered to the store in Mission Valley, CA" and that someone would call me either today or tomorrow to schedule the install. WE WILL SEE! This experience has been nothing but a NIGHTMARE.
gutters
In early May this I had agreed on new gutters with Lowes in Washington, mo. The gentleman who did the bid said I would be hearing from the installers in a week or two. 3 weeks pass and I heard nothing, so I called lowes. They said they would be in contact with the installers and get back to me. Another week goes by and nothing. I called again an finally 6 weeks after the bid my gutters were installed. All was great until it rained. I noticed that water was pouring down between the gutters and the house in many different areas. This was nearly 2 weeks ago. I went to lowes and told them what was happening. This was on August 17th. They assured me I would hear something in a day or 2. Well Monday the 21st comes and still nothing. So I call and lowes tells me that they had to leave a message with the installer and they would get back with me later that same day. 2 days later nothing so I call again and the same thing only this time the installer Finally calls me back and says it's difficult to get to me because I live rather far from where they are located but he would by my house either that next day or the following. Well here we are 5 days later and nothing. I fell like it is not my problem where I live and why it's taking so damn long. I have already made 3 payments on a product that is not doing its job. I want this problem resolved immediately
troy-bilt horse xp with 20 hp kohler courage engine
My 72 year old (at the time) mother went to Lowe's in Corbin Ky to look at mowers. She told the salesman that her husband (my father) had passed away a few years before and she was looking for a mower that would last for years with little problems. He talked her into getting a Troy-Bilt Horse XP with the 20 HP engine and we have had nothing but problems out of it ever since. We have owned this poor excuse of a yard tractor for 3 years now and have had to replace something on it every year just to get it to work. Now, on the 3rd year, we find that the head gasket is blown... after only 3 YEARS! After doing a little digging I have found that the "Courage" engines are nothing but cheap Chinese rip-offs of the MUCH better built Honda engines. Troy-Bilt has used these engines to make themselves a much larger profit at the expense of the consumers. I will NEVER buy another Troy-Bilt product again and I will NEVER spend another dime at Lowe's again either.
pressure washer
In April 2015, I bought a pressure washer from Loews along with the 3 year Protection Plan. I used the Pressure Washer twice since I bought it, once in 2015 after purchase and again, once in 2016 to Pressure Wash my house. When I attempted to wash my house in 2017, it would not turn on. I tried for over an hour with no result. I took the pressure washer to Loews whose employee told me that the Protection Plan doesn't act the same as a Warranty. They will repair it but not replace the unit. A week later, I get a call from the mechanic at Loews who informs me that the carburetor is broken and needs to be replaced before he can find out what else is wrong with the unit. The cost for that will be $127. I asked about my Protection Plan covering the repair and I was told that since the unit had been tampered with already, my Protection Plan would not cover the charge. I did not tamper with the Unit, I merely tried to start it. I am a 64 year old female senior citizen with no mechanical abilities other than turning on the uni t and spraying my house. That is the reason why I got the Protection Plan. When I challenged the issue, I was old that they would not fix it without payment and were going to send it back to my store on Zebulon Road in Macon Georgia. A week or so later, I get a call from the Macon store telling me that my pressure washer is back from the repair shop and is still broken but I must pay $79 for labor, and then take it home broken. I will go to the store again tomorrow and try to get a manager who can assist me. i have never experienced this kind of run around in my entire life. My Protection Plan has not protected me at all. I am appalled.
