dishwasher (bosch), rebate offer
I am attempting to collect a rebate due me and my wife from the purchase of a Bosch dishwasher. The purchase was made on [protected] on the phone with a very, very nice gentleman(salesman). I received ALL our paper work over the internet from the purchase. All except, for the very bottom of the sales receipt just below the receipt under the heading "REQUIREMENTS". Amazing, this piece of paper work has since DELAYED the receiving of our rebate. I have called and called and, written numerous times trying to collect the rebate. Is it really so stiff a penalty to be late on applying for the rebate? I have been rejected so many times I am shame to tell just how many times. I still shop at our local Lowe's and really hate the way I am being treated on such a item that is truly due me and my wife. If anyone can offer any kind of recourse, I am all ears! To end this complaint I thank all for listening and just hope that someone will come through solve this for us.
Sincerely,
Homeowners of Porter Heights, Texas
hr
At the end of July I was injured at work due to a store managers actions. I was out for almost 2 weeks then released for limited lifting. X rays showed a 2 inch separation in the shoulder. I am enrolled in nursing school and was forced to drop one of my classes due to the injury. This cost me almost $700, and I am trying to get Lowes to make it right. I'm being told to get a attorney and sue them but I just want the cost of the class covered. HR at the local store was relocated to corporate and I can not get a responce through email. Ignoring the problem will not make it go away and if I don't get some resolution soon I will be forced to get legal help.
kitchen cabinet design and purchase
Almost 3 months ago this hellacious process started. The tear out and install should have taken a month at most. I have drawers that hit the handles of opposing drawers which prevents them from opening up all the way and I have TWO different styles of cabinets! I paid for the expensive Kraftmaid brand and what they sent was something less. The entire process has been a nightmare and Lowes and it's upper management chose to not stand behind the customer much less their work. DO NOT Do business with Lowes for kitchen remodels much less design.
lazy employees
Where else you can find the same terrible customer service with lazy and poor employees? I ordered an item with the next day picking up and came to take it away. I was said that my order hasn't arrived yet and I came early. I told him that it's urgent and I need my order today as it was said on their website. But the answer was the same. While I was rewriting the list, the employee went away. I don't know where. I asked the second one to help me. If he really did, I would not be writing this complaint. But unfortunately, your service is a complete mess!
hotpointdyer
I bought a new dyer in May stop working three weeks later only way it would work is hold it shut with your knee. They came to fix dyer on 8/7/2017 had to replace switch and fix the door. Glad I bought extened warranty just very mad cost me 407.95 for product should not have to get it fixed in a few weeks. It still don't work great. I will never buy a hotpoint product again I work very hard for my money.
defective swisher zero-turn mower
How would you feel if you went to your trusted home improvement store and experienced this:
After extensive online research on zero turn riding mowers I go to Lowe's to buy what appears to be a well-made machine from Swisher, 66in 11-gauge cutting deck with 3 gator mulching blades, commercial grade, heavy duty, hydro gear transmission, 27 HP Briggs & Stratton, electric start with Swisher's rapid response control system and Lowe's 4-year extended protection plan for ONLY $ 5309.61 and pay with my Lowe's card on 6/1/2016
The Swisher machine was delivered to central NY last summer, we used the machine for 40+ HRS and stored the machine indoors before winter. When my husband intended to mow the lawn in 2017 season he noticed the zero turn was not working properly so we called Lowe's Advantage protection plan for service. After a few episodes of picking up and bringing back the zero turn still failed. Lowe's protection plan picked up the machine on June 4th with 46 hours of use and since then we have not seeing the machine or heard nothing reliable about what's really happening with the machine. All this time we called Linda at the protection plan to get updates, since she rarely reached out to us to let us know what was going on. After over a month of the machine being in the shop Linda did not answer our calls. Instead whenever we called we got an answering machine and never received a call again. After that we realized this was not a normal situation, we called Lowe's customer service and filed a complaint. Customer service manager named Daniel (ID# 2140874) said he would look into it and will call us back with a response or solution. This never happened and after we complaint several times with Lowe's customer service we still received no answers or any call back.
Then we decided to call Advantage protection plan and to our surprise they have no knowledge of our complaint through Lowe's customer service and were told very casually to relax since the machine still at the repair shop and they have not scheduled delivery for it because other issues came up. All this after two months since they picked up the machine as it was a normal situation. By this time we had already bought an used mower because we need one. At this point we told protection plan we didn't feel comfortable with was happening with the machine and we wanted to return it and get full refund. Protection plan said they were going to call us to help us solve this problem but again, like always, they never called us back.
Finally customer service manager named Eritt (ID# 2249012) told my daughter that they were doing customer satisfaction buyout but never heard from him again.
Corporate executive named Allison called me to say she decided the buyout is not an option but needed more time to investigate our case. We find inconsiderate for corporate to request more time when this issue has caused enough emotional stress, time consuming, money waste after two and a half months if suffering frustration and disappoinment with Lowe's customer service.
kitchenaid refrigerator
I purchased a refrigerator Nov. 24, 2015 from Lowe's. I did not receive the correct refrigerator until Feb. 2, 2016. Lowe's sent the wrong one the first time, and salesman never order a new one until I called him to complain. Then Lowe's sent a damaged refrigerator, and I had to wait another six weeks to finally receive the right one. Then in July 2016, the freezer had ice on it and I had to wait until October 10, 2016 before the door was installed.
Guess what! Here it is August 2017, and I have ice on the freezer door again!
I have called and made an appointment with repair man from Lowe's Service department and they can't get here until the end of August. Then I will have to wail another three months to get the door. One thing for sure, I am glad I purchased the Protection Plan but the wait is ridiculous.
flooring
We have gone to Lowes for all of our home reneeds from buying Flowers appliances renovating our kitchen and carpet. This time as we always have we went to Lowes for a new ceramic wood look plank tile. We ordered had it delivered was given a install date. We removed all of our old flooring ourself so we were living on the plywood under the flooring. Needless to say I was very excited for the in stalker to come out. He came! As I hear him sighing every now and then I ask him if something is wrong. (He started nothing) he kept going in and out of the house. Finally he spoke and said he could not lay the tile for there was a very small part of the floor was not level. I was upset but understood and assumed is a solution. According to him my choice was a vinyl floor I then got really upset. He said there was nothing he could do. He left I got on the phone to find out what the next step would be. I explained and was put on hold for 30 minutes and got disconnected. Called again explained again and adding on now about being on hold. I was told by the installer someone would call me too. Well I never got that call.they gave me no solution I had all this flooring in my garage without an answer. I called Home Depot explained to them what was going on and the level issue. ( by the way my installer said they don't do what I needed) Home Depot could not believe an installer would not know how to level or would do it. They sad that would me no problem for them. So. Called my Lowes and told them the situation and to come pick up the products in my garage I know longer trusted who they use to install. Home Depot came out before I ordered my floor the issue was fixable and the installer will be taking care of it. Lowes left me hangin gave me no solution never called me so I am very disappointed. Besides everything this installer told me he only had two hours of sleep the night before his hands were shaking very bad. I really don't think he wanted the job or put in the extra work that would need to be done. All I wanted was a solution from someone and I got nothing. The more I have sat on this and still do not have my floors because H D installers are busy until the sept. 11 when my job will be done. I thought someone should know about about their installers.
samsung refrigerator
Purchased a Samsung refrigerator from Lowes we purchased a 3 yr extended warranty. One yr later the compresser went out we were without a refrigerator for 2 weeks. In June of 2017 it started to make a loud noise and no ice they have replaced the ice maker put in freeon adjusted and the last time the service man said the water line was frozen we had ice for a couple of days yesterday the loud noise started again and no ice.this refrigerator is obviously a defective product. Because today is August 2nd and the warranty expired on July 31 they will cover any repairs. I'm tired and I want a new refrigerator so they have left me no choice but to go to Consumer Affairs
umbrellas
Today which is August 2, 2017 I came to the Lowe's on Primrose Street in Springfield Missouri to get my two red umbrellas that I had paid for online on August 1st. On August 1st, an employee called me and told me she had the two umbrellas that I ordered and that I could pick them up. I told her I would be in the next day. She said that was OK. Today, I went to pick up the umbrellas and they were not there. I came from Billings which is a 40 minute drive one way. The head cashier said I could have a bigger umbrella that was red but he could only give me a 10 percent discount. They were 88 dollars each. The ones that I bought were $48 dollars each but they were on sale for $24. I went back in the store and picked out two umbrellas from the same company and for the same price of $48 and brought them to the head cashier and asked him nicely since it was their error if I could have the same umbrella in a different color for the same price. I had him call the manager. The manager said no. This really makes me upset so I called good friend that had worked at the same Lowes for two years and I asked him about this situation. He said it happens all the time and most of the time if you order online you need to talk to who calls you and tell them to hide it and then give them a tip when you pick it up. Otherwise the items will not be there. I just wanted everyone to know that orders online please do not order from the Lowes on Primrose. My husband and I spent 80 thousand dollars 5 years ago remodeling a house and bought all the supplies from Lowes on Primrose and to be treated like this is terrible. I will never set my foot into that store again. There is no reason that the manager could not of given me the same price for the same umbrella (except the color) from the same company that was the same retail price. I have wasted over an hour just going to and from my house for something that was not there. Who is going to give me that hour back?
vinyl flooring and shower unit
Ordered 1900 shower from laurel mountain through Lowes, Waterloo, Ia. Had a licensed, bonded insured plumber install to exact instructions. Everything plumb level, lined up perfect. Well, there is a 1/4 "gap inbthe back seam. There is supposed to be a 1/16th gap which gets caulked to look like tile which isbthe wall design. Called Lowes, called Mfg. . Told md it was a design problem they were working on but they weren't doing anything for my problem as they were selling lots of this shower. So was already upset with Lowes, then comes the really big deal. New vinyl plank flooring. Not the cheap stuff, it has the foam backing. Installer rep out and knew problems we had with 3 holes in cement as had a wayer line leak. Lowes instructed us to buy heavy metal to put over holes and we did. Installers 4 hours late, no call from anyone. Started bathroom and it looked terrible so I said something. Next they didn't know they were to move appliances so no cart. Said they didn't think they could go over metal so called big boss, Mike, sent pics. He said fine go ahead. We went out to dinner and returned 2 hours later. They were gone, house inside door open, windows in kitchen open and lights on. No note no call. I called company at 10 pm. Said they were not laying floor period. Lowes has a contract with TNT CONSTRUCTION so they cannot use anyone else. I am having flooring picked up tomorrow and expect a full refund. I cannot get the floors laid until august 21st from Carpetland. This has beeh HELL.
unethical behaviour
July 25, 2017
My husband went to Lowe's this morning to get a few things he needed for our home and check out some air conditioners for our business. He had left his cart a couple of feet from where he was looking at the AC'S with some items including his wallet. Someone decided to take his cart without asking him if it was his. When he realized his cart was not there he panicked and went looking for it. He found it by a cashier and asked who had taken the cart. The cashier informed him it had been her and that it was policy to secure the cart if it was unattended. He then told her that he was on that aisle and why was he not asked if the cart was his. She just told him she was following company policy. My husband asked to talk to her manager. When the manager arrived she informed him that it had been her that moved the cart and also was just following policy. He then asked why he was being lied to since the cashier had told him she was the one that took the cart. At this point my husband was very upset and requested their names the number for corporate. She refused to give him their names and told him she would be right back with the phone number. After my husband waited for a while he asked another cashier for the manager and she told him he should leave the store and go back to Mexico where he belonged. This is unacceptable racist behavior. As I mentioned before we are business owners here in town and we will be spreading the word of his treatment at this location . We will definitely be taking our business elsewhere.
sales of opened container with incorrect contents
I purchased a Wagner Flexio 690 paint sprayer. When I got home I discovered the product had been sold previously. There was someone else's sales receipt inside and a manual for a motion sensing light. At this point I do not know if all the original components are present. So I returned the box for a refund. A lot of wasted time for me. I was amazed that Lowe's would put a return back on the shelf without even a cursory inspection of the contents. Lowe's can be assured this incident will cost them some sales.
blinds
July 22, 2017 (Date last visited store #0642)
I shop at the West Orlando's Lowes and have never had an issue until I purchased and new house and needed blinds. My wife and I visited Lowes and there were no sales associates in the blind department, so we asked for assistance. We were told the person handling blinds was out at lunch and would return soon. We waited and waited and the schedule person never showed, but someone from the paint department finally came to service us. As we explained what we needed the sales associate explained she was from the paint section and didn't have information on special orders. We ask as many questions that she could answer and left the store. A week later, we decided to try again. Once again there was no one manning the blind department and we were told the schedule person would be in soon. We waited for the time they specified, but of course no one showed. We finally talked to a manger and some of our question were answered. A week later on July 22, 2017, I decided to give it one more try. Once again the blind department was not properly manned and we received the same story the sales associate was out to lunch. After about 30 minutes of waiting, we finally got a sales associate from the paint department. The lady asked what we wanted and then logged on to her computer and left without saying a word. We waited about 20 more minutes and then my wife began to roam the store looking for her. My wife found the sales associate in the paint department servicing other customers. I was loosing my cool by the time, so I asked for the store manager. The manager did get someone whom was knowledgeable and could answer our question, but the special order was 3 times price of the store stock and didn't match.
I decided to go to Home Depot where I was serviced in 10 minutes and someone will be at my home measuring my windows in the next 48 hours, so Lowes missed a sale of 22 window treatments.
This is what I have concluded from my experience at Lowes:
1. The paint and blinds department have merged and the personnel in the amalgamated department are not properly trained.
2. The store line is to tell you the schedule person is out to lunch or will be in soon until the load on the paint department diminishes, so they can get to the blind section.
The reason for my compliant is I want to know if the merging of these 2 departments is standard operating procedure. I am also very upset that I was repeatedly lied to about a sales associate being out to lunch or scheduled to come in soon.
I had an extremely similar experience with the blinds department at Lowe's in Sanford. The only difference was that it was the flooring department that was covering.
electric dryer
In December of 2015 I purchased a Dryer from Loews. I also purchased a 3 year extended warranty as I had some issues with the previous dryer from Loews.
In September 2016 the dryer stopped working. It would not heat up and eventually would not turn on at all. I called for service and ten days later the dryer was repaired. The switch was bad and the knob was broken on the inside.
In April of 2017 the same situation occurred with the same results. The repair took two weeks and the switch was bad as was the knob.
In July 2017 I again had the same problem and Loews schedule a repair man who no showed. Three days later the second repairman no showed. Finally two weeks later a repairman saw the machine, said it was the switch and the knob and he would order parts- that would take 7 to 14 days.
I called the service department and ask to invoke the lemon law of the warranty and was told that I had to have three service repairs under the extended warranty (the first issue was under the manufacture warranty) before they would do anything . This is clearly false advertising but I have no recourse but to make sure every social media I have access to is aware that Loews does not uphold their agreements .
I will never buy from them again
customer no service/ outright rude
On July 9th, 2017 - I purchased a dishwasher for our new home from Lowes ONLY because they had sent me a coupon for moving into a new home and I thought I would try Lowes instead of going to Home Depot, like I usually have done in the past. We were told the dishwasher was in stock and that it would be installed within a few days. By 7/12, I had not heard from anyone, so I called, and then was told that the dishwasher was backordered, this was the first I had heard this. The person I spoke to did not extend any sort of empathy but was matter of fact and told me that I would get it when I got it. He was very short and rude. On 7/14, I still had not heard from anyone, so I called again and this time was told that they had tried to deliver but had the wrong address. No one had contacted me at all to verify the correct address! So, I was told that they would come today, 7/18. Now, we are 9 days out from date of purchase. So, this morning, I get a call from the installer saying that he is coming, I verified address and I think we are good now. THEN, Lowes called. This is the first time that LOWES called me through this whole ordeal. Nancy Reynolds with Lowes calls me to tell me that their is a dent in the dishwasher and that they will have to get another one and it will probably be another week. She did not apologize, she was short, to the point and almost angry like on the phone. She told me that I would have to wait. I told her that I was looking at 9 days now without a dishwasher when I had been told it would be 2. I, then told her I wanted to speak to a manager. She said she would have a manager call me. This was at 8:35 a.m. At 1:45 pm, I still have not heard from a soul at Lowes, so I just decided, that they did not need to hang on to my money any longer - they had shown me that they really do not care about me. I called Lowes again and spoke to someone in customer service and told them I wanted my money back. They said ok, when I told them I wanted it to be refunded today bc I wanted to go to Home Depot to get a dishwasher, they said ok. I asked for an emailed receipt and was told it would be sent. I waited. It never came. 2 hours later, I called back! I spoke to someone else in customer service, this time, Nancy Reynolds happened to be there and she was handed over to me, she told me that she had been given permission by corporate to refund my money (which I thought had already been refunded). I told her that I had waited to speak to a manager, she had no response. It seemed to me that she had not even entertained the idea of helping me out but, had made up her mind that she was done with me & was going to refund me out. There was not resolution discussion at all. I asked her if she was going to be doing the refund today and she said yes, I told her that I would be taking my business to Home Depot and she said OK.
Overall, I got the message LOUD and CLEAR that Lowes does not care about my business. No one bothered to do anything they said they would do, return phone calls, or even refund the money until the very last call. A simple. " I am sorry" would have gone so far. I never heard that! We just bought a home and will be renovating, and will be spending a good chunk of money. I ran over to Home Depot where I ordered a dishwasher and was treated with kindness. I have already been called to thank me for the order. Lowes needs to take lessons from them in Customer Service!

WARNING WARNING WARNING
July 12 I ordered a LG microwave, Black SS LG refrigerator along with the above LG stackable washer dryer from Lowe's online and confirmation was received. Subsequently, Lowe's emailed me their delivery confirmation with a delivery date of July 17, see above email. I called today to add the stacking kit for installation for stackable units and Lowe's tell me…Ooops! they don't have the dryer and it'll be 3 MONTHS before they have this dryer! Not only that, but they will not substitute a comparable LG gas dryer for the same price because I purchased the washer and dryer during their 4th of July sale. Lowe's should not have accepted the order when they didn't have any in stock. They should not have sent a confirmation of delivery date when they didn't have any in stock.
Be careful when ordering from Lowe's on line site, they don't seem to know what they have and throw you back to the local store to correct their mistakes. Unfortunately, there has been no one at Lowe's who will take ownership of their error and make it right for a long-time customer. Charges are pending on my credit card.
May be the last time I purchase from Lowe's. I built or remodeled two homes this year with majority of purchases (including lumber) at Lowe's.
Would love to hear from someone with Lowe's for explanation or resolution of my problem.
All the complaints I have read are right on. Lowe's delivery people are horrible, their customer service is horrible and when they install something it is usually damaged in the install and you have to wait months for it to be replaced and you have to go through the whole ordeal of getting someone to get it right. I am still trying to get a refrigerator I got from Lowe's through a purchase of a condo the owner ordered it through them, corrected. They delivered another refrigerator and now it has a dent in the door and the ice maker is screeching when the water runs into the ice maker. I am surprised they are still in business.
siding installation and deck build
Lowe's is horrible. Don’t use Lowe’s or Chris George of Alabama Dream Homes! This is the slowest, lowest quality, and most stressful install company we have ever used. The contracts with Lowe's to install siding and a deck were signed on March 2, 2017. We were told that the siding would be completed in two weeks and the deck project would be completed in a similar timeframe.
We have had to deal with multiple problems and difficulties with quality and timing of work, and the conduct of Lowe's or Alabama Dream Homes. The problems include:
The subcontractor Alabama Dream Homes selected by Lowe's attempted to perform various portions of the work in a manner that did not comply with applicable city building codes, and we and/or the City of Opelika, Alabama were required to insist that building codes be followed.
Alabama Dream Homes also did not obtain building permits as required by the City of Opelika, until forced to do so at our insistence; various shortcuts and/or improper materials were used on the project, requiring us to have to insist that the substandard work be remedied, and in some cases, the substandard work is still not remedied. Many of the main screws attaching the deck to the house were not even touching the house, since they tried to cover damaged wood. And this deck is about ten feet off the ground! I have video of Chris George playing with one of our security cameras, probably to disable them so we could not see the bad work he does. Boxes, empty food bags, drinks and other trash has been repeatedly left in our yard. Ladders, trailers and other construction materials or equipment left in the yard for weeks; and most notably, Lowe's and/or Alabama Dream Homes have continued to delay and the project still has not been completed, as of July 13th, 2017. We have complained to corporate Lowe’s for weeks, but they are not able to help much and Lowe’s has shown no willingness to provide any type of refund or compensation.
garage door and opener
I purchased a garage door and garage door opener from Lowe's on April 27, 2017. Requested an outside keypad and frame on the outside door to be replaced. The install was done on June 27, 2017. The outside frame was not replaced and no outside keypad was installed. Contacted the store to question why there was no outside keypad or why the capping was not replaced. The sales person contacted me two days later, he did not recall me asking for an outside keypad and he could not answer why the capping was not replace. The company that installed the garage door contacted me, and informs me that the capping was not replaced because they could not match the color. No one mentioned that there was a problem matching the color of the capping when I placed the order. In my experience if anyone needs a garage door to be replaced and frames, Lowe's is not the place.
delivered damaged appliances 5 days before home sale closing
I am flipping a house, have a agreement of sale, one of the contingencies was to provide all stainless steel appliances, pretty typical. I got to Lowes in Oaks Pa, purchase a stove, range and fridge, set up the delivery date, so far so good. I intently tell the sales representative that this is a contingency for the house sale so we need the appliances delivered on time and date with no issues. I set the date a week before closing because I didn't want to supply appliances if the deal fell threw. On the day of the delivery the delivery company called me the day before and gave me the window they are going to be out for the delivery, so far so good, I take a 1/2 day off work so I can be there for the appliance delivery. The time from was from 12-230 Monday the 26th, I arrive at the house at 12:15, they also said they would give a 30 minute heads up call. I am waiting and waiting come 2:45 I call the delivery company they say they cannot get ahold of the driver so I head home (30 min away). Once I pull in my drive way approximately 3:20 I get a call from the driver saying he will be there in 45 mins, I am a little pissed but things happen. I get to the house they pull up around 4:20. They IMMEDIATELY tell me that the fridge has a large dent in the front, they said I purchased the "floor model" I explained to they that I purchased all new appliances, I called the Lowes Oaks, took me 30 minutes to get threw to them. They finally get someone on the phone named "Bob", he confirmed that I did purchase all new appliances. I refused the damaged fridge per Bob's instructions, he said he will have one sent out to me within 24 hrs due to the time constraints of closing.
Here it si Wednesday 28th, I cannot get a manager to call me back, every time I call they transfer me to the manager, the call gets disconnected or a lady answers and I have to explain the entire situation over again. I finally called corporate and they explained to me what was going on, I now have a delivery set up for Thursday the 29th, literally with one day to spare, this fridge cannot be damaged. I am prepared to file a lawsuit against Lowes if they do not fulfill their obligation and settlement gets pushed back, and I get penalized.
I will never shop alt Lowes again!
