We purchased a storm door, paid for it in October and waited and waited for someone to contact us for installation. No one contacted us. We went back to Lowe's where we purchased the door and were told the door would be installed within a couple of days and we would be hearing from the installation people; well, that didn't happen. After several calls to Lowe's they finally gave us the number of the installation people Lowe's contracted with, Summit Installation (out of Oklahoma). This company and their service and customer service for installation is horrible. It has been two full months. When the installation people finally got here, after rescheduling several times, the door was broken so they had to get another door (and, instead of just sending one of their people to pick up another door and getting it installed we were told they would have to reschedule). Summit Installation rescheduled for Dec. 26th. No one has showed up; no one has called. This is a horrible installation service and we feel your need to contact with some other company. Summit Installation could "care less" about our time or whether or not the door was paid for. Summit Installation could "care less" about how their lack of "service" and keeping their word or even calling to let us know what is going on affects Lowe's and their customers. We have called multiple times...to both Lowe's and Summit with no resolution to having the storm door installed. They say they are coming then don't show up. They don't call even to tell us they are not coming so a day of our time is wasted as we wait and wait. This is not how your company or any company should do business. This has nothing to do with COVID - just poor management on the part of Summit Installation. When you call...they say "this is the best we can do". They don't have a best!

Desired outcome: We want someone to call us and want the door installed immediately. We started our journey in 2019 with gutters, soffit, windows, sliding glass doors. We have a bay window that is 9ft X 5ft custom size. The first window was either lost or damaged so we had to wait for another 6 months or so for the 2nd window to arrive. The window leaked the first time it rained and it took another year to get everything settled between Pella windows saying it was an installation issue and Lowe's saying it was Pella's problem. The 3rd window comes in and was scheduled to be installed in August or 2023 but Summit didn't schedule enough people for the installation so we were rescheduled for September 2023. All the time I was trying to get Summit to get the job scheduled faster but all I got was "That's the soonest we will have enough people in that area". Summit came out to install the window, removed the window that was leaking and when they tried to fit the window in, it was three inches too tall and would not fit. Since then I have had a 9ft X 5ft piece of plywood in place of a window. 4th window comes in the first part of November 2023, Summit calls and sets the installation for December 22, 2023. I have been dealing with Lowe's Executive Customer Relations and there is ZERO customer service from them either. I have come to the conclusion that NOBODY CARES ABOUT THE CUSTOMER at Lowe's or Summit. I am decorating my 9ft X 5ft plywood window for Christmas with 18 inch letters that says "LOWE'S BLOWS"

Do you have too much money? Do you have too much time on your hands? Are you not frustrated enough? Then this is the company to do business with. They take your money, they have you sit around at your expense waiting for installers and they do nothing. When you call, they take notes, aka further waste your time.

Do you need new windows? If you want to pay today and have your windows installed next year, Summit Installations is the place for you.

If LOWES was giving stuff away, I wouldn't shop at that crappy store!

Wow this is like de ja vu! We are experiencing the exact same problem! Ordered One Window from Lowes. We got canceled first appointment because the installer didn’t have a ladder? Then it was because he was on vacation? Then we had to cancel due to an out of state Dr appointment. Now getting into 4 weeks. Day of install, they cancel again! Now they say anothet 2 weeks and no option to choose the day. We lost 2 days of work. No call from customer service.

I mean no call from this ? Company

Just to clarify my complaint. The trouble we are having is with SUMMIT INSTALLATIONS! Who are the contracted installers. To be fair. We have had other installation’s from Summit and they did an excellent job. Not sure whats going on now.

I have had one of your licensed, insured and background checked installers come out to take the measurements and assess the project area, they concluded that they wouldn’t do the project because the house is STUCCO. Which is a poor reason not to do it. I would like my $40.00 back. I shouldn’t have to pay for their incompetence.

He said he might lose his job if he accepts this job because of the STUCCO. They should have this in their ad.

Lowes should hire someone capable of dealing with stucco.
