Lack of customer service, being lied to, refund sent to a closed account.
I returned a Calvin Klein Petiet large black walker coat about a month ago. When I called about my refund to the customer service department.
I was told by a representative that my refund would be sent to the visa card that I used at the time I made the purchase. I advised the customer service rep that the visa card that I had closed the account with Chase Bank and that the debit card was no longer valid. I was told that it was the only way that they could refund me my money! I then called corporate office. I spoke to a lady that assured me that I would get my refund sent to my current checking account... Well, guess what... It was sent to the closed checking account.
Needless to say, I'm livid over the treatment and the Lies that I have been told.

Until this matter gets resolved I WILL NOT spend another dime with Macy's and I have told several of my friends about what has happened to me, they were appalled by the treatment that I have received from Macy's. made a purchase on 12/7 for Macy Rugs and tried to return them based on the issue that the rugs were defective. Was told that they could not locate my Macy purchase. Then waited for a Managr was told again i had to go back to BACKSTAGE that no one can view my purchase. One week later received my macy bill to discover the charge on my Macy Bill, called customer service was told that they would issue me credit for the purchase but now one month to the day still NO CREDIT, was now told that they needed to have this shipped to UPS and then I may get credit, WHAT, this is poor that the issues from the store do not talk to the customer service agents. All AROUND BAD EXPERIENCE!
Please investigate that Macy's in general is going down hill!.

Charter club women's leather gloves
I received a pair of Charter Club gloves as a Christmas gift sent to me by a relative on the west coast, I live in the mid west. When I opened the gift, I found that the package contained two left hand gloves. I have reported the issue to Macy's via email and after emailing with three separate "customer service reps", I find myself without a solution to the problem. The reps claim that there is nothing that they can do without a receipt. I have reiterated that the gloves were a gift and that I, obviously, don't have a receipt. The closest I have come to a solution is through the latest email. That rep told me to take the gloves to my local Macy's and they should be able to help me. First of all, I still don't have a receipt, secondly, the nearest Macy's to my home is an hour drive away. I have offered to return the gloves for them to exam, but they didn't follow up on that resolution, now I'm stuck.
Desired outcome: I would be happy if Macy's would send or email me a prepaid pickup receipt which would allow me to return the gloves. Once they receive the defctive pair, they can send a replacement.
Jewelery
Purchased a jewelry from macys.com on Oct 20.2022 and once I received it, didn’t like it. So called macys and asked for return procedure. They sent me ups label to return and sent it back on time . After 2 weeks ( dec 10)I check the status and no update . Called few times and they told representatives failed to file rerun form so it’s getting delayed and asked to wait 20 days refund as it has to go thru PayPal . After 20 days when I checked, they says a different story that they only received empty box and not item . Now macys is putting blame on me . Either it was stolen in transit or warehouse misplaced it. Not sure . Anyway macys is no ready to refund my money which is $ 4K . Also I tried to file claim with ups , but ups told macys has a sept for filing claims and they have to file for claim . I spoke to supervisor on macys and they are not ready to address this issue and says they cannot do anything and cannot process my refund . I am helpless. Need advise as I would like to file charges against macys and how they being giving customer service after taking money from me.

I had paid my bill off last month and then I received a bill for $2.00 in January, I called and spoke to a young man. by the sound of his voice, he did not seem too happy., his voice was very monotone I asked him why I had a bill for 2.00 he said it was accrued interest. so, I told him I want to close my account because of this. he should have known by my voice I was not happy with the $2.00. I told him to close my account. Not once did this kid try to resolve my issue other than to take my payment for the $2.00 so for that I closed my account. I told the kid that he could have resolved this issue if he would have just removed the $2.00. but then he turned it around on me that I should have asked to have the 2.00 to be removed. I have done this before and had never had to ask for a removal it had always been offered. I like my Macy credit card but when you have to deal with a kid that obliviously doesn't care about customer service and understand that we are the ones that help pay his salary.

Agents were being disrespectful, funny and not helping. I have called over 5 times and still no resolution. Since November 2022.
Agent sitting on the phone saying nothing for over 10 minutes, I thought I was on hold then here comes a survey,
Agent transferred me to the wrong department on purpose.
One agent returned my order that was being shipped without my permission. And that took 2 days when the order I actually returned hasn't been refunded yet since Dec 2022,
I will go to the media next if this isn't resolved quickly.
Desired outcome: SEND MY ORDER OUT TO ME AND SEND ME THE REFUND FOR MY RETURNED ITEMS MONTHS AGO.
Engagement ring
I brought my engagement ring to macys because they sold me a faulty setting that could not hold the diamonds. One of the diamonds on the side had fallen out for the third time. I gave macys colonie center the ring with the two diamonds intact and the third one that had fallen out all in the same little zip lock baggy sealed. Macys would not issue me a refund claiming the setting is not faulty, I asked for the ring back and the third diamond is missing. I have tried to contact colonie center about 15 times today. I filed a complained with the bbb and I contacted the state attorneys general office. I want a full compensation for the ring or I want the third diamond replaced same grade and cut.

I purchased this toy for Christmas. I went to wrap it and the box was damaged. I was hoping it was from shipping. Sure wasn't. I let my son open it and items were used. Has things all over the pieces. In order for me to get a refund, I have to repackage this product up and ship it back. The items out of stock so not allowed a replacement, probably wouldn't accept a replacement after this anyways. My local UPS store is 15 minutes from me so that's gas money I have to spend to get my money back for their mistake. This item should have been checked to make sure it wasn't used prior to reselling. I will not purchase anything online again from them. Waited 17 minutes to speak to a person to get nowhere.
Desired outcome: To get a refund without having to drive to UPS store. If you want the used item back, have them come pick it up.
Credit Card
My Macys credit card was charged frauulenty. I filed a fraudulent charge with the company after several communications with little to no assistance I requested the account be closed out of fear the charges would continue. Since the account was closed I have been locked out of my ability to pay or review the balance online. After several attempts with Macys to rectify this I decided to open a different charge card and transfer the balance. Macys will not provide me with the account number, let me pay the balance with the new card, or provide me with assistance to complete the transfer.Macys is effectively holding me hostage and only allows payments in the store, over the phone (with an additional fee), or to mail in a check. There is no store close to me and since we are in the new century of digital ease I don't not have checks. I don't believe I should be punished by having to pay an additional fee monthly.Help!
Desired outcome: I want to transfer the balance and be done with this terrible company.
Online customer service
On January 2, 2023, I placed an order to pick up in the store the same day after 4 p.m. It is now January 7, 2023, and I still have not received my item. I called customer service the same day. The call seems to go out of the country and they seam to be having a party constantly. They barely speak English and you hav to keep call bevies the call drops. Nonetheless, I was told that same day the item would be delivered to me the next day. I have not received my order or any correspondence. I have been a premier customer since 2002. Macy’s services have declined significantly. I am truly disappointed. I did not cancel the order because I used a Christmas gift card that I threw away. However, after sending this email, I called Macy’s customer service to cancel the order of a Ninja cold press since the price dropped by $30 and was told I could not cancel it. They said it would be in the store by January 11, 2023. That is so disappointing because I would have order the item to be delivered to my home from the beginning if I were not given the option for same day delivery.
Macy should be ashamed of yourselves. If I am late paying my bill, there will be a consequence. What is the consequence for failing to provide a same day order nearly five days later when the item is already paid for? I can be reached at [protected].

WORRYNOMORE is a total scam!
I bought a set of dining table and chairs several years ago from Macy's furniture. The sales guy promoted the WORRYNOMORE furniture warrenty and promised fully money back after 7 years if no repair was requested during 7 years. 7 years later, WORRYNOMORE refused to refund my mmoney even though I had never submitted any repair requests. I am a Macy’s customer for many years.
Last November end of the week I made an online purchase from Macy’s offered a special deals of some kitchen products and expected to receive by December 10th. But without even informing me they gave refund to 2 items only out of 13 items. It’s been 4 times I have called them!
It’s really disappointing with their false promises that they are refunding the money but I have to waiti for another week for the refund processing time period that required that they need so…
Still now they didn’t refund me saying I have to wait another week and so for $39.98+ tax for 2 Bella electric Panini press,
35.96+tax for 4 Bella donut baker 29.99+tax for Crux 3.7 quart touch screen air fryer.
When I called first time to find out about my order they said they didn’t have the goods in their stock!
My question is if you don’t have the stock why did u collect the money?
I told them I saw the same items in their store but they didn’t give me any other options rather forcefully saying they are going to give me the refund but they didn’t do it yet!
They don’t want to give me anything except putting me on hold to get tired and forget about it.
It is a very small purchase, it is a small money for them and it make no sense why they are giving me so much hard time?

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
This is not an actual complaint but I needed to voice this. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has been a family tradition now since the 60's, four generations strong for the Ryan family. I myself got to perform in the 1973 Macy's Parade with the McDonald's All American High School Marching Band. For us the Christmas season began when Santa Clause arrived at Macy's at 12:00 noon. We were quite stunned when this year our Christmas season was kicked off with Maria Carey, and Santa took a back seat almost hidden. This is something I hope had enough reaction so Santa once again can properly kick off the Christmas Season next year. Thank you.

Orders and cancellation of orders, and rude unprofessional customer service support.
On 12/22/2022 I placed two orders the first being a Full/Queen comforter set [protected]. I cancelled it because it was a duvet and I wanted a comforter. After holding on and speaking to several CSA I was told my refund would take 7-10 business days. And that I would receive a confirmation email within an hour. No refund was issued.
#2 [protected] This Order was take over the phone incorrectly. It should have been Queen size and they submitted an order for a twin. I am so disappointed in the order process and the unprofessional actions of your employees.

I placed an order on 12/12 for which I should have received Macy's money. Some items needed to be returned but overall, I should have received $20 in Macy's money to use on my 12/16 order. The money was not there. I want my $20 to be applied to the 12/16 order.
I've had THREE customer service people essentially hang up on me and one that REFUSED to get a supervisor who might be able to help me.
Incompetence. Laceaih from the Philipines should be fired!
Desired outcome: Not only apply the $20, but add an additional $20 for my troubles. I have been on the phone for 45 minutes now with four different people!!! That is unacceptable.

I had a question about the BOGO of pillow that said $50 buy one get one because when I paid the bill it came out to $24.11 for the pillow. NO one in customer service could answer my question. One man said he will add a pillow and I told him he cannot add anything because I did not pay with my Macy's card. I paid with a gift card. WELL he did it anyway and when he tried to get the $11 dollars or whatever it was from the gift card it was declined. SO it cancelled my whole order. What the hell. I called customer service and explained that I did not order nor authorize that add on can they cancel it and let my order as ordered go out. NOPE it takes 7 to 14 days to credit the gift card. I asked to speak to a supervisor hoping to save my order while they fix it. They basically refused by 5 calls to connect me to a supervisor, they kept hanging up or it would go directly to survey. I spoke with Elios ID91212498 and he said he spoke to a supervisor and that my order will be 160 something no problem. Since I explained about the gift card, etc, he said it was fine. I checked today and I have no order and some of the items have sold out. I called and 30 mins later was connected to KEN supervisor ID9129424. No only was he no help but refused to call me back after two and tell me if he fixed it. Nor could he have a assistant call me back. Instead he sent me to survey. Customer service caused this mess and they are not willing to fix it. My order as orderd was perfectly fine. I just had a simple question that 6 representatives could not answer. What is going to happen to my order can't anyone try and salvage some of my items so that they aren't sold out or my BOGO isn't awarded.
