I usually have a good experience going to your store, although on this day at about 10p, that all changed.
I went in wanting a fountain drink thinking I would just walk in, pay and go home. I go to the back where the fountain drinks are, grab a 32oz cup. I fill it about half way with ice, and then I take a moment to think about to decide on what I want.
I decided to try out the Mug Root Beer to see if the taist is to my satisfaction. So I put in maybe about a half of a cup (4oz) in the 32oz cup and try it out. At this time, if you look at the video, you should see that my cup is not full.
After trying the root beer, I wasn't satisfied with it, and decided to get a Coke instead. I then go and fill my cup all the way up with Coca Cola, put a lid on it, grab a straw, and head to the checkout counter.
I get to the counter, the guy rings up $1.78. Immediately I'm confused. Your sign says a 32oz drink is $1.09 ($1.19 with tax).
I informed the cashier that the sign said that the drink was $1.09. He then tells me that watched me on the camera, fill up my 32oz cup, chug a drink and then fill it up again and brought it to the counter.
I informed him that he was mistaken and I only got a small sample. He insisted that I filled up the cup.
It was at this point where I informed the worker, "you know, I don't even want it anymore," and proceeded to walk out the store with the drink still on the counter.
If it wasn't for this next part, I wouldn't be writing you right now.
Instead of allowing me to walk out the door and out of the store, the worker locked me in. Telling me that I was going to pay for that drink, or he was calling the police. I told him to call the police. As he's calling the police, I walked up to the counter, threw my money at him and walked out.
Here are the questions that I need to have answered before I go to the next step.
1. What right do you have to lock me in your store when I pose no threat to anyone and I've done nothing wrong?
2. Why should I not be talking to my lawyer right now about suing you for false imprisonment and holding me against my will?
3. Why should I not be talking to the state attorney general about how you falsely advertised the price for your drinks? And where's the sign saying no samples?
4. What reasons do you have that your store deserves me and my friends' business?
Please answer promptly so that I will make sure to do the proper thing next.
