You people should be sued. The new fire safety cigarettes are awful. If you didn't want to make cigarettes, then quit so people could find another brand, this was a terrible thing to do to people who have paid such a high price to be a customer! These are more likely to start fires than the old ones, the fire falls off and they taste like chemicals. Everyone whose gotten sick should put in a lawsuit against these cigarettes and make marlboro loose some customers and money! Thanks a lot Marlboro You SUCK!

I have been smoking Marlboro brand cigarettes for over 25 years now, and just got a pack of the fsc cigarettes and was wondering what the heck was going on. Those are the most nasty cigarette I have ever had. I won't smoke these either. I will switch to a different brand before I will buy another pack of these nasty things. It is bad enough you all jacked up the price, but then made them nasty as all get out. It is like picking up a cigarette butt off the street and smoking it. You just made a very big mistake.

The FSC cigarettes are so frustrating. Paying near $ 45 a carton and not being able to even smoke them is infuriating. The taste is completley off, I have to light them 5-6 times while smoking, not to mention the burns in my car... I am angry. I was totally ripped off. Thanks Marlboro for being the next big scam.

I totally agree they taste soooooooooooo bad now. I am also looking for a cheaper brand because of it. Why should we have to buy so much for something that has a terrible taste. I have smoked the same brand for over 15 years (not any more).

The new FSC smokes are a joke, they are trying to drive you out of business, and you did nothing, but claim that these new cigarettes are no different, yeah right till you start getting sued for all the glue you are putting in them, and making so many people sick. I guess the government will not have to eat it, it will be you, the very company that has hooked so many young kids into smoking. UNREAL. I refuse to smoke FSC cigarettes, can't believe you sold us out without more of a fight.

I am undergoing more research to find out why and how these FSC cigarettes came to be. I just felt that, as a smoker, I should comment on this. First of all, as an american citizen and veteran of our armed forces, I am disgusted! I feel as though my rights have been seriously violated! There are many other reasons for this next comment, but being an american is turning out to be, well without the foul language, "horrible"! Second, these cigarettes make me ill, extra coughing, fatigue, upset stomach, light head, shaky, etc... Third, I know, as we all do, that smoking is bad for you. Really?! It is a fact that we have all known for years! Thank you to the ###, who invented this FSC cigarette product and even more to the coward, again(###), idiot, who pushed this "law?" Also to the tobacco companies for allowing this travisty to even occur! I will continue my "quest" in this unbelieveable situation. Legally and personally.

P.S. What next? more taxes?

These FSC's just took over the State of Ohio without prior notice. If gays have rights then so do smokers. What happened to freedom of choice? Where's the ACLU n this one?

As a long time smoker, I quit "cold turkey" last year when my new husband had his third pace maker implanted. He was told he had to quit again. :-) I had tried to quit previously and was almost successful. However, you can't quit if you live with a smoker. WE ARE FREE FROM CIGARETTES! It's been a year. Think how much money we have saved! 2+ cartons a week.

I have been smoking Marlboros for more than 30 years (Red 22, Lights 10) The last two cartons that I have bought were stale, dry, leave a sore throat, leave a burning tingling sensation on tongue, roof of mouth, and even lips. I finally figured out that they are the FSC version. As long as that is all that is available, I won't be buying any more. No wonder I just recieved coupons in the mail. I couldn't smoke these if they were free!
I think the mouth burning is because I have to moisten the paper with my tongue to reduce the harshness to a point that my throat and lungs can handle it. So whatever is coming off of the paper is burning my mouth. I can't see that being approved by the FDA.
If everybody is using these papers, then I will try Levi Garrett, or Skoal.
Cheers

I HAVE SMOKED MARLBORO REDS FOR OVER 20 YEARS, BUT NOT AS LONG AS THEY ARE THE FSC. GOODBYE PHLLIP MORRIS.

It does not matter what we say anymore. As long as we keep these idiots in our state
and local goverments they will do whatever they want. It disgusts me what this country has turned into. I, m glad I am in my 60's. Couldn't imagine having to just start out my live in early adulthood. The freedoms we use to have are no longer.
I also asked the same question where the vote was, or did I miss it. We are only allowed to vote when it comes time for local and state goverment. The rest is long gone.

We smokers are aware smoking kills us. Can we atleast not die by a good tasting cigarette. That we dont have to continiously re light. Is there not away around this. Is there not a petition for this or can there not be one. If there is one please let me know. If there can be one please some one get it going and let me know. the cigarettes can kill me as fast as the stuff theyve added to it. im bout ready to quit all together behind the new fsc. And all i hear about is its the legislators who made this happen. for what safety. dont you think the smoking itself is unsave. please some one with money pay them off so they will leave us alone. Thank you from a broke smoker who would if he had the money cause thats all its about really.

Yes the symptoms sound familiar. Sore throat, dry mouth, respiratory infection, chills, fever, body aches, headaches . Most doctors would say you have the flu or maybe strep throat. My doctor doesn't know what I have and I have had these symptoms every since these fsc cigarettes have been on the market. The tobacco companies have a bad reputation with telling the truth in the past. Why should things change now. Maybe when the American people quit buying their products and start growing and selling their own. The multibilion dollar tobacco industry will understand that we don't need them. Even if it means another product gone to the black market. The American smoker will change and get their untampered cigarettes one way or the other. The tobacco companies would be naive to think that smokers would not know the difference in their product. These things are making people sick and should be banned for health purposes. The public should have been informed prior to their poisoning from this tainted merchandise. Any one care to talk about long term effects. Within 4-6 weeks of these fsc's I have had these symptoms develop and I am normally a healthy, active person but these symptoms seem to be lingering. I plan to grow my own tobacco and sell it, whether legal or not. If I am going to [censored] with cigarettes, I want to do it on my own terms

FSC cigaretts give headaches, stomach aches, causes vomiting and much more.I personally have burned more things since these have came out then I did with the ones that were not fire safe. They do not prevent more fires and they are causing people health problems not including the problems listed above. They need to take them off the market completly in my opinion. In time they will see the problems they are causing and the fires they are not preventing but causing. I hope they are taken of the market before they cause more damage to our American people and forest then they prevent.
AGAINST FSC!

I have read several of the FSC complaints and I agree with them all. I have smoked Marlboro Ultra Light 100's for 20 years now and I hate the new FSC junk that is in them! They do make you have headaches and you cough more! My doctor gave me a script for Chantix yesterday and I am getting it filled! I may go crazy in the process of getting off these nasty things, I can regain my sanity, but I can't get up out of the grave they are trying to put me into quicker with the FSC! And by the way... Fire safety? LMAO! Yeah right!

I too must complain about the FSC... have been sick continually since the change, more noticable obviously the more cigarettes I smoke; I smoke roughly 1.5 packs a day and this is really getting quite irritating; wonder how much money big tobacco is going to lose as people are forced to quit smoking...

I think its absolutely ridiculous that Americans everywhere are forced to pay an outrageous price in order to engage in a private, personal lifestyle habit. I understand the nation's views on smoking, but I don't really care since its my body, my money, my life. I don't condone smoking, but since I am not planning on quitting anytime soon, I feel like it is my right to smoke all I want. The price and taxes kept getting higher and higher to smoke, and I kept shelling out the money for it. I even went through a period of homelessness and still always managed to find a way to smoke. When I found out about all the cigarettes becoming FSC, that was the last straw. I was infuriated that no information was really addressed to the public. I can see the letters "FSC", but I basically had no clue that it was there ore what it meant until someone else pointed it out. It all made sense after I started reading about it and realized that my lung and throat irritation and stomach issues were probably a direct result of the FSC. I even lost my voice for about 2 weeks, literally I could not even whisper. I am now boycotting American cigarettes and am purchasing my cigarettes from overseas. They are cheaper and save me over 50% and also are not FSC. More and more people I know are beginning to boycott the FSC and ultimately, I feel that this will impact a huge loss for the tobacco companies. I feel that this was in no way whatsoever, a very intelligent move to enforce yet another condition and stipulation on our personal habits without even warning us what was coming...you have failed misererably...

These FSC Tobacco Products are horrible. I can give you a list of 212 people right now that will not buy or smoke these produces as long as there FSC. All though they were made to go out to stop so many fires, i also have a list of 86 people who have still had there FSC smokes catch there belongings on fire. Yes maybe it would have been worse for them if those smokes were not FSC but, I would like u to consider this... The 212 people i speak of all have these symptoms ...Dry mouth, Constant headaches or Migraines, Constant cough, Constant sore throat, Shakiness or Trembling, Upset stomach, ect... And again keep in mind these people are all located in portnorfolk alone... Please help us. With all the money spent on our country weapons i would think you could afford to keep the consumer a little healthier and really make smoke safer .

Thanks For Reading

Sincerely Amber Noack

I have smoked Marlboro for 20 years by choice. Now they have the FSC. This is not a safe cigarette. The cigarette flakes off and starts fires/burns the place you are sitting.
I also have had a cough for 2 mo. with a sore throat and mucus. I have seen a doctor and gotten antibotics, which gave no relief or resolve.
I am considering addressing this issue with my attorney.

I used to smoke Marlboro's. I got a cough and couldn't breath. I quit smoking. I do not have a cough now and I can breath. You have seen the warning on the side of the pack, haven't you? You know that one that states that cigarette smoking is hazardous to your health. There is no such thing as a safe cigarette.

BTW, my neighbor had a cough that wouldn't go away. She had lung cancer. I suggest instead of a lawyer, that you would be better served with a chest x-ray.

I just want to say, that I have been burned and have had flying embers from these so called fire safe cigarettes ruin more clothes. Than I ever did in 25 years of smoking. I am about to sue for the cost of all of my ruined clothing and bedding. I swear these things are going to burn my house down. I guess it is time to quit!
