I noticed a number of unauthorized transactions on my Mashreq credit card, on July 28, 2022 at 2:12 am, for an amount totalling SAR 28,330.94 (Dh28,807.24). I did not make these transactions, nor did I share the OTP with anyone. I received a call within a minute from the fraud analysis team Mashreq bank, I confirmed the transaction was not authorized by me and blocked the card.
As per the bank's instructions, I immediately filled and submitted an online dispute form at 3.:20 AM for which I received an acknowledgement.
Since then, I have visited the Abu Dhabi branch for follow up and several call-to-call centre follow-up and the answer is the dispute is under investigation and once investigation finishes, they will inform me.
However, on August 15, I received an email from the Dispute Team informing that the amount will not be refunded.
The bank added that as it was a 3dsecure based transaction, they could not do anything and said that I might have shared the OTPs or linked my card to wallets.
I had informed them that I had OTPs generated in my mobile after 2am and no email of any transaction done. Fraud analysis is detected at the same time and the bank can not stop the transaction even after my confirmation.
I have the following concerns:
First, 11 transactions in SAR were done at 2.12am.
This should have raised a red flag for the bank. I did receive any calls from the bank. But without any result in reporting even after a minute of transactions.
Second, although an OTP was generated, I did not receive any email from the bank saying that the OTP was used for the transactions, as is the case normally.
I would request Gulf News to help me escalate this issue.

My name is Veena Thazhathu veetil Valson. I was working one company in Abudhabi - Bin Mansoor Printing Press LLC. I complaint against this company regarding my salary pendings and after execution, the court blocked comapnys Mashreq Bank Account. On 11.05.2022, company paid money to the bank to remove their block. Now bank account is active but bank still not transfer money to the court.

Having credit card with limit 20k and personal loan with AED6900 monthly pay due pandemic I had job loss, settle job in less salary . Due to which I loose payment in credit card payment and for last one year I payed almost AED14000 just finance charge for the outstanding amount AED20000.
I need deferment two three month to settle credit card dues and waving of finance charge at least for past 6 month .

I opened mashreq current account through online services on new year eve and today is 21st of jan till now my account is showing not active. I called customer care twice but they are also useless. so i never recommend mashreq bank as they are very irresponsible

The worst customer service EVER!. I've requested to close my credit card on Oct 2021, and after three months of waiting for 45 days so I could request a clearance letter, I was shocked to receive another statement saying that I need to pay another 260 AED for closing the credit card. HOW? I have not used my credit card and am now forced to pay 260 AED to cancel my credit card.
This is MANIPULATION!
In the end, I was asked by the customer service of Mashreq bank to deposit 260.40 AED, and when I asked them how can I deposit 0.40 AED? They were brainwashing my head and saying that the ATMs accept coins, which is not true at all! I was raised here.
They don't even about saving the customer loyalty or saving the customer experience; what they really care about is the MONEY!
I even requested a callback, and it never happened. A call from a manager or supervisor never happened, and you can put on top of that broken promise as well! They promised to call you back, and never did!
Thank you for teaching me not to use or recommend your service to my friends or family.
Desired outcome: No outcome required. Enjoy the 260.40 AED. Never going to recommend your services to family and friends and never going to make business with you again.

Good day. My name is Vikas Prince and I hold of a Mashreq Smart Saver card. After several requests I was given a reversal of AED 2400+ but the same is not being effected to my outstanding amount but goes as an increase of limit which is of no use. Tried explaining that I am on 50% salary cut since April last year due to the Global pandemic situation, yet no desired help given. Way too many charges being levied despite telling them of the difficulties being faced. Just getting sick and tired and regret going for this card. Has been an absolute nightmare and horrible experience. Just so very unhappy. Once I close this card, Mashreq will surely loose a customer forever. And neither will i want to ever recommend Mashreq to anybody in future. On the other hand have had a wonderful experience with some other banks who have been considerate and so very understanding and helped me with solutions that has actually eased the burden. If there was a 0 star I would definitely give to mashreq bank horrible service and horrible experience no security multiple transactions and fraud done no actions! No otp for many transactions if less than 100 dhs transactions u only receive an email not msg on ur mobile which caused me alot of money losses due to fraud without me reading my email! Credit Card closed without informing just before cashback was due
Hello Team,
My name is Yogesh Joshi and i was using a Mashreq Solitaire credit card (Card No ending with xxxx8901 ) since March 2021. Suddenly, my card has been closed by the bank after i made my last payment without any reason and with no notification sent to me.
I was supposed to receive a cashback of 2000 AED this month and it seems that is why the bank just cancelled my card. I need an explanation for this and want my card activated again since i never delayed any due payment or did any unauthorized transaction.
Mashreq is really trying to fool the customers this way.

This has reference to an issue I have faced with Mashreqbank Noon Credit card. I had applied for a credit card using the noon app digitally. All processes were successfully completed by me. I got a call from the agents after two weeks asking me for my passport copy visa page which I had send to on May 19th 2021 to abdulhami@mashreqbank.com and copied to docref@mashreqbank.com. Till date and even after follow up, there is no efforts taken by MASHREQBANK to notify me on the status of this card. now my interest to take this Mashreqbank credit card has dies down due to very slow service by the staff. This is very strange when Mashreqbank are marketting digital banking, etc and the people in Mashreqbank are not keeping up to their word. Kindly look into the same.
