This is Gurpreet Kaur and I am an ex-Staff of Mashreq. My first job in Dubai was at Mashreq in 2013 and I had taken a staff furniture loan of 9k when I joined the bank which i paid back without any hassle and its paid off completely.
During my tenor with Mashreq, I took another staff furniture loan of 9k from the bank and continued paying the installments. During the course, i had to resign from Mashreq and I did not have any funds to pay the remaining balance to mashreq. During the exit formalities, which includes a detailed conversation with the collections, I told them my situation and also told them that within a few months, I will pay off the full amount which is remaining.
The collections team, confirmed that there is no issue and never warned me that it will affect me negatively. Within 6 months, I paid off the full outstanding amount and within these 6 months, I did not recieve any phone calls or emails from the collections chasing me for the money( I guess it was coz of an understanding that I will be paying off in a few months). Not aware of how things will be turned against me by mashreq, n now in 2018, when I came to Dubai looking for a job, mashreq did not hire me coz of a staff delinquency when its been paid off already. My credit bureau status shows as written off, whereas there was no settlement whatsoever. The whole amount has been paid off. I understand there was a delinquency, coz of a genuine issue but since it was agreed with the collections, I was under the assumption that it will not inpact me. I do know i do not have any written evidence regarding the same from collections, but if you investigate, could you please check if i was informed about the delinquent payment, either by email or by a phone call? No, and its because they knew that the payment will be made.
All I need is to get this status removed from my credit bureau, coz I am finding difficulty getting a job because of this and this is not making it any simpler for future. We want to keep our bureau clean coz I had clean intentions to pay it off and I have paid it off completely. I want my status changed on the bureau with immediete effect.
I want my bureau status to be changed from written off to be paid.. as it has been paid off completely.

I (Zubia Nauman holder of account with Mashreq, Mashreq Millionaries and Smart Saver Card), received a call today eve from lady named Reham from the Burjuman Branch, she called to tell me that again Mashreq can't encash my won Mashreq Millionaire certificate as the bank needs to do KYC. For which I asked her that how many times does Mashreq needs to conduct KYC in a year, and she tells me that this is not the way to talk to her as she is the assistant manager and she is being courteous enough to call me to facilitate the encashment. She goes that she can complain against me, for which I asked her, that what's her name and told her that I too have the right to write for her behaviour and way to threaten me with her rank in office. She then goes oh, the KYC was last updated in July 2018, which showed that despite her being the assistant manager she didn't do her homework and then she goes that actually the millionaire has not been linked to my account, for which I was really upset as on the 11th of September I personally visited the MoE branch and sat down with customer service manager, and asked him to check for the series from which my certificate was won and also to check if all the certificates are on the same link, for which he told me that all the certificates are linked. The lady then goes, if I wanted to encash the certificate then I will have to come down to Burjuman Branch and do the process again to link up.
I am requesting for an apology from her side as she should have done ample enough homework before buzzing me and shooting off with such an attitude that I need to do KYC again and then further if she was assistant manager or who so ever I wasn't speaking to an individual I was talking to Mashreq which is the keeper and manager of my funds and account, if the system is lapsed and not able to link the things in one attempt, without respecting of the customers time then bank definitely owes an apology too as it's sensitive to leave my money in such hands. There can be any discrepancy which can be a failure on the part.
Kindly look into the matter as soon as possible.

I have been trying to call the customer service but the options are not getting me to the right direction.
I had my salary transferred to Mashreq sometime July. For that, my previous bank (NBF) issued a clearance letter which is needed to be picked up by the agent I was communicating with. His name is Sulfikar. I was trying to call him but he isn't picking up calls. I sent him multiple whatsapp messages but to no avail.
I am just wondering if this is the kind of after sales service you're providing. When he is following up for my requirements he was very insistent and now that it is done, he is no where to be contacted.

for outstanding amount on 09.09.2018 for the liability letter received
from u. As per the liability letter u r supposed to give the clearance letter
in two working days.
But I did not yet get the clearance letter. Kindly give the clearance letter
at earliest. Fab bank representative daily going to the bank for collecting
but the mashreq bank is delaying in giving clearance letter. I do not know why

Further to approach to customer care centre from mobil is very difficult. The software
installed is very lengthy and waste of time and waste of money. In other banks
custemor care centre representative is available at earliest when phoned.
Kindly change ur software of customer care centre.

call center and promotional emails
After countless calls to Masheq Bank call center, I have reached a very rude call center agent so gave a wrong email where I should send him for him to evaluate the validity of the complain. I was calling for the wrong promotional emails sent by the bank. I was emailed an offer with broccoli pizza where I can get 25% off with Mashreq cards and it was not accepted by them.

I have made several complaints before from July 2018 onwards.
Total O/S of my credit card was debited w/o my knowledge to my current account.
There was an ongoing discussion on my CC O/S that was utilized when Mashreq was supposed to close my card, due to consolidation. However, when I realized that, I called to inform them and requested them to give me a payment plan or installments to pay off the amount. The C/S confirmed to look into that and come back to me. A couple of days later, they just debited the total amount to my current account w/o any notice and I had to run pillar to post to even understand as to why they would do such a thing. I agreed to pay off the amount, but with a payment plan, but to no heed. I made numerous calls, several emails and also went and tried to meet with the collection department, but never got any response!
I even explained to several C/S agents that called me for payments; whom I explained that the card is blocked and how can I make a payment when they are asking me to pay off the whole amount. They confirmed that they will get a payment plan in place, but then I get no response for week. When I call back, I have to go thru the same ordeal with another C/S agent, who promises the same with the same outcome.
Anyways, long story short, they have done nothing but just debited my current account; which has an EMI for a loan with them, which means I have no money for my day to to day living, as well as Electricity, Telephone bills, etc.
This definitely is not Mashreq's ways of dealing with customers! but then again, I have no help whatsoever to get this resolved.
I have made several request to the Collection department; addressing it to Mr. Ramy Mahfouz. I have not received any call back!
mashreq smart saver credit card
I am holding mashreq smart saver credit card no. [protected]. My name is Milan Lakhani. I have complained many times on mashreq telephone customer service regarding reversal of pay protect insurance premium charged. However, they are refusing to reverse the same as according to them, I have agreed for the same at the time of credit card application. I requested for copy of the application before 4 working days, which I have not received yet.
I have exactly the same senario with you. I was not informed at all with this service and i have being spending a lot the past two years, this month when i see 242 AED was charged that was the time i knew about it! They are not using professional way to do their business.
They always play same drama. When they replaced me new credit card they activated the protection feature. When i asked them explanation they are saying as per your request only i accepted. When i asked them about this, they says by call you requested. I told them then i am mad of what to complain you on this? They says they cannot reverse charges if you want we can deactivate the charges for ongoing months. This is how they looting our money.

credit card late payment fee of 230 aed!

I was out of the UAE this summer for vacation and I missed a payment for the first time on my Mashreq Master Card, I only had to pay 288.56 AED and I was charged 230 AED late payment fee plus 12.27 AED interest.
I think this is totally unfair and I never had such an experience with any bank in UAE or in Canada where I used to live. I was also not aware of this late payment fee, other banks in UAE don't charge such fee.
I contacted them and unfortunately they only agreed to return 50% of it so far,

This is my second complaint made regarding the same issue, We have lose hope and starting to think to transfer our accounts to other bank companies since you are disregarding everything we complained about your service. We contacted Mr. Vimal Viswanath since he is the bank representative who was in charge in opening our accounts, but we think he is disregarding the complaints of every staffs here in our hospital. We think he is taking us for granted and many of us would like to make a complaint against him.
On 09/08/18, I informed Mr. Vimal what happened when I tried to send money to other bank accounts internationally, I tried to send money twice via mobile transaction since your application snapp always lagged everytime I send money, in the end it always unsuccessful transaction, later on I found out that the bank deducted the amount I was trying to send plus so many charges. I asked Mr. Vimal regarding this why the bank charges me for an unsuccessful transaction and he replied he will take care of it after 2 days. Until now he doesn't give me any updates.
Second, Mr. Vimal didn't inform us regarding the annual fee of the credit card he gave us. He didn't inform us neither regarding the benefits of this card. The only instructions he gave is to activate the cards without telling us there is an annual fee will be deducted. Now, since Mashreq deducted us already for the annual fees, we asked him to activate and give us the credit limits to our cards, he asked us to secure a salary certificate first, we secured it already the time he asked the requirement from us, but until now, no replies, no updates and everytime we call him he is busy to have a conversation with us. It's been 3 months since we activated our credit cards and paid for the annual fee for it but until now we can not enjoy the benefits of this credit card. I also would like you to know that we visited the Mashreq bank Dubai Mall branch and learned the the Platinum Elite credit card can be waived/ free for the 1st year. We complained this issue to the staff in there and said only Mr. Vimal can fix the issues. This is the first time I opened an account here in Dubai, UAE and you have given me a bad impression. I can not recommend your company to my other colleagues since you are causing me lots of trouble.

I have already filled up a credit card dispute form Ref - 1674512-G3L2H3. My wallet and mobile was stolen when i was in Sri Lanka. By the time i could block the card there were transactions made on my card number [protected]. Pin was not asked for in any of the transactions.
No alarm was raised by mashreq credit card team that a card which was not used for almost 1 and a half year is suddenly being used internationally.
My bill has got generated yesterday and i would not be making any payment till this dispute is resolved.
I can produce the FIR copy and any details required to prove this fraudulent transaction. however i would not be making any payment for the bills raised as these transactions are not done by me.
I need a resolution for my complaint on priority.

I was holding a smart saver mashreq credit card on which I had activated novo package (8 discounted movie tickets). All of sudden the I came to know that from effect 1st july 2018, card holder has to spent 4000 AED each month to avail 8 dicounted tickets which I dont want to go. You had deducted AED 300 in march for issuing 8 discounted tickets in each calender month of 2018. Now all of sudden new condition in between and why is it imposed on existing customer. if you want to apply keep it for new customer or from next activation year for existing customer.
As per my call with Mashreq representative, I can only get 4 discounted novo tickets (half of which was agreed), i believe bank should refund half of my activation charge AED 150.

I was using a Smart Saver Credit Card from Mashreq Bank since 2013. On April 2017 I lost my job and had to return to India. But I paid my dues without any default since November 2017. From beginning of 2018, I start to send several mails to Mashreq Bank for a full & final settlement amount to settle the outstanding. I received a letter from Mashreq Bank in July 2018 regarding the full and final settlement amount of AED 15, 000 against an outstanding amount of AED 17, 794.44 (Mashreq Bank Settlement Letter Ref # [protected]). I deposited AED 15, 000 as per the settlement letter and now an outstanding statement has been sent to me by Mashreq Bank for an amount of AED 483.06
I send several mails to Mashreq Bank regarding the above and no response was received from them.
Please help me to sort this

I intended to deposit 4500 AED on 29-08-18, at around 14:18 pm, to account number [protected] (SOUTHEAST SHIPPING LLC), but i received a confirmation receipt of 3400 AED only. Thus, 1100 AED went through the machine but i did not get a receipt for it.
I made the deposit in the Jumaira Mashreq bank branch cash deposit machine . The ATM ID is SCU2402.

I sought assistance from one of the members of staff, who asked me to make a call to the customer service, and after several attempts i did not manage to speak to an agent.

unethical penalty fee
I've been using Mashreq credit card for past 4 years without a single delayed or default on a payment. I was in India on holidays for the month of July and August and I forgot to pay my dues of 5000 before the due date. New statement was generated on 18th of August and instead of the penalty on the 5000 they have charged me interest for 29883. They put the interest on amount which isn't even due till September 11. This is completely unethical behaviour. My request for reversal was also turned down saying that it was with the bank policy. Why would I have to pay interest for amount which isn't even due until next month? i've attached my statement for reference and look forward to your support to have this issue resolved.

One of the worst bank account i have in my life. Customer care called and said your account is now been unfreezed.
I transfered 2 times 100 aed to my other bank account, even after a local account transaction done sucessfully but still not credited in my account.
Tried to withdraw cash from atm same issue and iam unable to withdraw cash. Dont know what to do . No support from branch. No support from customer care aswell. Any one have clue how to taclw this issue.

I have applied for a credit card on 23.07.2018 in Mashreq bank. I have been informed that once the bank approves your credit card you will receive your credit card. But It was almost one week I didn't receive any call or even the personal banker doesn't respond to my calls. Before you give your application they call us a lot and after the application is done they never care at the customer. If they are not interested to provide me a credit card, they could have conveyed it to me. I could have opted for another bank.
