I have closed my credit card with Mashreq and got a clearance letter from the bank when I resigned and canceled my UAE residency visa in 2017. I was advised by bank personnel who closed my credit card to keep the Mashreq account open as it will be free of any charges for life. Mashreq bank representative Hasun, mis committed me that there is welcome bonus amount which you will get if you open an account with us but I never ever got that bonus amount. And when I complaint against it in the bank, instead of asking to their representative that why he mis committed to the customer, bank asked to me to provide the proof and closed the complaint.

I would like to help my friend to get her clearance since she already settled her dues in Mashreq. Due to pending pending cancellation of her visa at Immigration, her company is giving her a threat that if she will not accelerate her issues to the bank, they will charge from her the overstaying penalty and deduct it in her remaining gratuity. Her visa will expire on Aug. 22, 2019.
Please advise how can she get her clearanc e without any hassle.

It's been a month since I paid my NSTL loan to close my account but you have not given me the exact amount to totally close this.
I spoke and paid with Mr.Mohammed Kilani in al Rigga branch but he cant give me the remaining balance to be paid and I expect response from Mr.Esmail Ali who is contacting Mr.Kilani about this issue.
I even wasted my time to go to Dubai mall branch and was given an email address "CCRDRBG@mashreq.com by your staff to raise this complaint but my email isnt sending to this address.
Please look into this matter seriously because I will be leaving the country.

error in credit statement and wrong charges
My credit card statement had some errors from banks side in April 2019 which i have highlighted to the customer care agent in the beginning of May 2019 itself. The customer care agent confirmed the error that was IT issue & advised the same will be sorted in the next statement. She even confirmed all the charges related to this issue will be refunded and there will not be any negative effects due to this issue. Even after several reminders, the problem not yet sorted and my credit score and all dignities got affected. Now i am getting the threatening messages and calls from Mashreq bank collection department that they are going to deposit the security cheque and there will be travel ban on me. Kindly help me to get this issue & my statements streamlined, all the negative impacts sorted and get the wrong charges refunded

Hi,
Kindly be inform that Mashreq AGAIN charge me of PAY PROTECT causing my card to OVER-LIMIT.
You people charge me of this back in March and stole AED100+. The amount was not returned to me and your customer service just DEACTIVATE it under REF-3079479-Q9Z9F9.
This July I checked my statement and saw AGAIN anothe pay protect charge and this time it causes my card to OVERLIMIT. I raise this under Your Service Request Reference No. is REF-3999833-G7X5K7, REF-3999864-W9S8L0, REF-3999904-G6F6B7. And your customer service just told me it was a valid charge?! That there is recording about the call (you have recording i know).Yea you call the question is did we avail the Pay Protect? Because I DID NOT! I even CANCELLED it on the first place. Who activated it? Why it was activated? When I DID NOT AVAIL IT?! This is an extortion and steeling. I am trying to trace my June statement. I don't k iw if you charge it again there as I don't normally check my statement. Now I learned that you people are thief and that we should not trust you.
Now tell me, what action will you do with this case. Your call center agents aka customer service are useless. You people are THIEF.
Try to think LOGICALLY. How come that this charge has been activated AGAIN when the client already deactivated it back in March? Something is terrible happening inside your company and part if it is STEELING MONEY FROM CLIENT!

I have a registered complaint on Mashreq Customer Care ( REF-3954349-Z8Q4W2 ). But the issue is not resolved yet.
As per the mail I got against my Complaint reference number, I have sent a mail and a reminder to Ms. Sufia but I did not get a reply or a call back from her.
Now already, I was trying to sort the issue from 8th July 2019, but customer care is not cooperating with me. Whenever I was calling to customer care, they were promising me to give a call back. But I did not get a call back yet.
And now I am not able to call to customer service because I am not getting your banking activation code to my registered mobile number.
So I am not understanding, why Mashreq is dealing the complaints like this. On 25th of July, Mr. Thoufeeq, manager of customer care also promised me to sort out this issue on or before 28th of July.
Still my issue is not resolved. And I already informed customer care that I am a 7 month pregnant lady and I need to exit from here to India for my delivery. And now I am getting strain and stress because of these issue. I cannot tolerate this anymore.
So please advise me what is happening. I need a proper explanation on this.

Dear Sir,
I would like to bring your kind attention, Mashreq bank customer service agents calling to the customers and saying something is in free for Pay protection just by saying as you are a top customer.
Now, I want to elaborate on the topic-When I saw my May-2019 credit card statement, I found that I was charged Dh. 49.17+2.46(05% VAT)=51.63/- for pay protect. The call center agent had told me it would be completely free as you are a top customer based on the transactions and I don't have any confirmation email as it's activated in my card without any terms and condition for the plan.
So, that I registered my complaint with Mashreq Bank, and they removed the "Pay Protect" but they refused for reversal the charges.
Unfortunately, I got a penalty of DH.279.00+13.95(05% VAT)=292.95/- for an over-limit fee as because of Pay Protect plan. ( Because they added Pay protect to the card and outstanding of the card became more than my credit limit).
Total Deductions is Dh.51.63+292.95=344.58/-
So, same I conveyed to customer service, but they declined the request.
Therefore, you are kindly requested to do the necessary favorable action for reversal of pay protect and over-limit fee for the same.
and please be informed to the bank (As we cannot reach bank higher authorities), call center agent to be more clear (Without saying something free) with the matters while conveying messages to the customers and it should be with the proper documentation.

On my installment credit card payment plan, my last installment was paid 4 days late. I have paid almost 16000 interest on this credit card loan.
I have been charged late payment fees and about 480 dirhams interest for installment of Dirham 7236/-, for being late for only 4 days.
I tried contacting customer service, collection department and also personally visited Burdubai branch to enquire and request for waiver of such charges as I have finished paying all dues and my credit cards are closed.
All above contact sources said they can not do it. They are not even ready to register a complaint or escalate my request.
After being a Gold customer and one who has paid more than 40, 000 interest on various credit card charges, I am disappointed that they can not waive 700 dirhams for a customer of 15 years.

My friend back in UK lost his money from his credit card and then he complaint his bank but they said to him it will take 60 days minimum to get his cash back after investigation. The poor person reserve that money for his son education

I am holding smart saver card . And i have previous balance is credit 1.68 . And this balance is from 2018 . And in the month of June 2019 an amount 18.07 shown which outstaniding bal . And there is no transation done by me from last nine month .And more over i am on my vacation when i came back due date has gone i call your customer care they told me june 2018 Some VAT charges now chagred .
