Tire install
After dealing with Ed and Adam via phone at the Pittsfield Dalton ave location I become very disgusted and disillusioned by the lack of inter team work and communication. First Adam gave me a price and told me I had to pay for the special order # 4 Cooper Discover Snow Claw studdable snow tires. I had 1 week to have tires installed. When I called back I spoke to Ed who said I didn’t have to put a deposit on the above mentioned tires and that I had been misinformed and order the 4 tires to be installed on the 13th of November 2022. I called on the 11th of November to be informed by Ed that only e tires had arrived to call back Friday the 12th of November. Upon calling on the 12th of November Adam informed me he was to busy to check on the arrival of the tire. Note Adam has quite the attitude on the phone. I refer to them has phone muscles. So on Saturday the 13th of November I called. No one answered the phone until 930am. At this point Adam said I couldn’t have the tires installed. So we agreed to the 14th of November. After waiting at Mavis for 2 and 1/2 hours Matt informed me the wrong tire size was shipped. So I called on the 16th of November to talk to Matt and Adam rudely told me Matt would not be in until tomorrow the 16th of November. After speaking to Matt on the 16 of November we agreed to the 18th of November @ 8am. Upon arriving on the 18th of November at 753AM I was informed by Ed it didn’t matter that I had an appointment. So I been sitting here since 8AM. Truck finally when into bay @ 943Am.
Desired outcome: Some type of discount for my time I listed 3 days of time
Shop did not repair issue with my vehicle and created additional problem
My Van was towed to Mavis at 18 Georgene Court, Parsippany, NJ as the Van did not start. Van was working fine and passed inspection just a week before.
Mechanic indicated that the Fuel Pump had to be replaced and provided me an estimate of approximately $2,500 dollars and I approved to get it repaired.
Four days later the mechanic told me that Mavis could not fix the problem and that I needed to have the Van towed to another mechanic, Mavis replaced the Fuel Pump and offered to discount all but $215.81 which I paid and had my Van towed to another mechanic nearby.
New mechanic found an electrical issue and fixed the original problem.
However, they also found a check engine light which was related to the Fuel Pump installed by Mavis. New mechanic replaced the Fuel Pump and fuel pump connector found badly damaged and glued with silicon back into place.
I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Mavis. Last week I went into the shop to have my money refunded as the issue was caused by Mavis. $215.81 paid to Mavis and $1,590.96 paid to new mechanic to fix the problem caused by Mavis.
Desired outcome: Full refund $215.81 paid to Mavis and $1,590.96 paid to new mechanic to fix the problem caused by Mavis.
Damage to floorboard on my car
on 10/17 went for tire rotation check balance and alignment after seven hours went to pick up my car and noticed that my floorboard is damaged notify the store manager about that he sent a worker with a hammer and he makes worst he literally make a hole in my floorboard after few weeks company decline my claim even when the store manager said to a worker "be careful with that hammer because you going to make hole "was too late he already make a hole when I went body shop for estimates they clearly noticed that my car wasn't properly lifted up they put arms of lift under the floorboard, not the place was designed for it so they damage my car and don't want to pay for it
Desired outcome: A car need to be fixed it
To have the taillight replaced and installed.
My friend brought my car in to have a tire changed - upon having the car returned to him he noticed the rear taillight was smashed. He immediately called and I verified the car did not have a broken taillight when he brought it in. They called the region manager and reviewed the cameras and the regional manager claimed the video was "inconclusive." My friend who brought the car in is a retired police officer and he went around to the back on the building and notice a red dumpster - there was red paint transfer on my vehicle. Below the dumpster where broken pieces of my taillight - fitting into place like a jig saw puzzle.
When he brought this to the attention of the manager - they spoke to the regional manager, and they agreed to replace the taillight.
About a week has gone by and I heard nothing from Mavis about the replacement, so I called customer service and now they are back peddling saying they never agreed to replace the taillight.
Wheel lock key not returned to my car after plugging tire hole on [protected]
I went to the Mavis Tires located at 89 Mount Bethel Rd, Warren, NJ on [protected] as my TPS light was on. Upon inspection I was told there was a nail in my front causing the air leak. They repaired the leak immediately using the Key to remove the wheel locks that were on the tire. See Invoice # [protected].
On 10/24/2022 the Tire sensor light went on. During my car inspection the technician at Autobahn noticed the sensor on right rear tire was not on the wheel. I asked him to replace the sensor. When they went to look for the Key to remove the tire it was not to be found anywhere in the car. I reported this to Matt, the Manager at Mavis in Warren to see if he had the key. He had a box of keys and he tried each one to see if anyone of these key fit my wheel locks.
None of them fit. I called the Infinity Dealer to get a new lock key and was told it would take 3-4 weeks to place a special order for a key that would fit my locks. For the benefit of my safety and to replace the missing sensor on my tire I had to buy a NEW set of wheel locks with a Key. I am attaching Infinity invoice INCS74006 for $116.18 that I paid for new Wheel Lock set. On same invoice you can see the Tire Sensor that also had to be replaced.
parts not needed
On 11/8/22 I was having four tires installed at the Mavis tire store in Camp Hill Pa located by the Capital City Mall. I was only in the have tires installed that were ordered from "Tire Buyer". While waiting I was advised that I was going to need all new brake pads and rotors plus struts.
Knowing for a fact that all this has already been done in the spring.
The total for everything would have been over $2600.00 With this being said if I would have been someone who didn't know any better I could have paid for something that I didn't need. Needless to say I already have told many of my friends of what has taken place here. Word of mouth is a big part of business and I just opened a Mavis Credit Card thinking I would use them in the future.
This will not be happening.
Tire Buyer has also been advised of what took place
Desired outcome: Not looking for anything Just wanted to let someone know of my experience if you have any more questions you can contact me at [protected] My name is Jon

Horrible,
I have been a long-time customer and have written about my past positive experiences before on yelp but right now I have nothing positive to say. the supervisor Jordan at the freeport location was rude and highly condescending. last week I took my car in for a simple oil change. I notice after the oil changed. I saw oil on the ground where I parked my car. Today I took my car back and Jordan's reaction was not only unprofessional and uncalled for, but his condensing remark also caused me to make a call to cooperate office and file a complaint.
oil change
DATE OF SERVICE NOV 1, 2022 - oil change, invoice #[protected]
1. No one left a message that my car oil change was completed. I called Nov 1st at 5:55 pm and the Mavis store representative said he called 2 times once the oil change was done but it stopped ringing after the 2nd chime - that's not the truth because my cell wrong fine.
2. Mavis employee said he would wait for me until 6:10 pm to pick up car but no one was present at Mavis when I arrived at 6:05 pm so I could not pick up my car until the next day. Major waste of time and I really needed my car
3. There was no oil change sticker on inside of my car noting when my car is due for the next oil change - so I'm unsure if an oil change was ever done
4. The receipt notes my current odometer milage as 25,000 miles but my car had 31,000 miles - so I'm unsure if an oil change was ever done on my car
Desired outcome: Voucher for a free oil change to show appreciation for this repeat customer (last 7 years...). I will never go to Mavis again if I don't hear back.
State inspection
I made an appointment on the website Saturday, 10/29/2022, for a car inspection that I had set for Monday, 10/31/2022. When I had arrived at Mavis for my inspection which was set for 11am at the Trexlertown Mavis, I had walked in to let them know I was there for my appointment, the guy had asked me my name and what I was there for I had told him I had an...

Damages to my car
26 September 2022
To whom it may concern:
On 20 September 2022 at 7:53 pm, I received a call from an individual that stated he worked for Mavis. James Thompson was his name. He started talking about me having relations with other men in the military. He also stated that I could have sucked off some men to earn the money Mavis owed me.
I hung up and they called back twice.

Desired outcome: reimbursement for damages
Brake Repair/Replacement
I got my brakes and rotors replaced less than 3 weeks ago and while driving the front caliper fell off locking the brake up. I had to tow it 40 miles to the Mavis that did the work and they tried to blame it on something hitting it. The bolt sheared off, which means it was damaged being put back on. There is no way that something could hit the bolt and shear it off where it is located without a lot of other damage. They either cross threaded the bolt or tightened it too tight causing it to weaken and shear off. It damaged the caliper and sliced the brake line causing the brake fluid to leak out. They charged me $450 to repair something they caused.
Desired outcome: I would like to be reimbursed for the $450 and would the $220 towing bill.
Service
On 09/14/2022 we took our car Acura TL to get service, one of the service advisor called and said that the car was not serviceable, and for us to come and pick it up. When we got there to pick up the car, the service advisor (young man) said another mechanic looked at it and he can repair it. So we left and they repaired it. When we picked up the car, a older mechanic said that we should have not got the car fix and to trade it as soon as possible.
Today 10/24/2022 I was filing my MAVIS RECEIPT, I notice that the office put a comment on the receipt that said " This vehicle is not safe. Customer was shown damages to subframe, subframe has signs of degregation, Bending, Loss due to Road Damage. Customer insisted we do control Arms, mechanic also voice concern about damages to car and had issues removing and installing control Arms". We did not insist to fixed the car, we went to pick it up and was told that it was okay to fix it. We would have never had this car fixed if it was told to us unrepairable. My son drives this car, he life is very important to us. The comments are a complete LIE. I have several cars that I have taken to MAVIS. For the last 4 months, I have spent over 6000.00 dollars for my cars and this is the thanks that Mavis gave me.
Desired outcome: Find the mechanic that told the young man at the desk, that said it was fine and okay to repair my Acura T7 and retract this FALSE COMMENT.
Damage to the left side of the front bumper, after an alignment. Also, leather in driver's seat has evidence of a burn in the leather.
I had four tires installed on the 24th at that location and noticed my driver's seat was burned at that visit. I expressed my concern to "John Little" at the time I picked up my car. On Sept 26th I was in your Riverview location located at: 13110 US Hwy 301, Riverview, Fl. Then on the 26th I brought my Mercedes E-350 back in for an alignment. When I picked up my car, I noticed the damage to my front right bumper next to the tire well. I reported the damage to your customer service representative and sent out an email to the email provided. [protected]@mavistire.com. To this date no-one has called or responded to my claim.
I have filed a claim with USAA to get my car repaired and will move forward in doing so. I am greatly disappointed in the lack of customer care and integrity this company is demonstrating. I was a customer of Kaufman Tires for years and trusted them to be honest and possess strong moral principles in their business practices. Their culture was something to be followed in your business practices and mirror their business principles. If my car was damaged and the crew at this facility is covering it up, I will not be the only customer dissatisfied. When I reported this incident to the manager John Little, he indicated that you have cameras in the bays and if in fact my car was damaged, we could see this. I requested to see the camera footage and was told it is stored in corporate. I am requesting to see this footage of my service. I can be contacted at [protected] to discuss a solution.
Desired outcome: My vehicle was damaged by Mavis Tires they should be paying for the repairs on my vehicle.
Service at Dickson City PA
My girlfriend (Cynthia Cordell) took her car to your facility in Dickson city pa for a clunk noise in her steering on her 08 Pontiac G6 garage kept with 18K mile on it, on 10 6 22 8:00 am est. When we arrived and explained the situation to them 3 mechanics came outside and proceeded to find the problem. They informed us it was the front struts and told us will be ready in appx 2 hours. We returned and paid bill for $995.50, as we took car we noticed the clunk was worse. We turned back and told them it's worse!... They said okay we'll take it back and see if we can find what it is...we left and they called us back 2 hours later and said it was the axel shaft and we should replace both sides, we agreed and then they said it would be $1266.70 to fix. We replied is that the problem, they assured us it was. We left the car there and told to contact us when done...after a few hours we called and was told it would be appx 2 more hours...4 hours later we called to see what progress was and was told we now needed 2 control arm and brake hose and was told they are awaiting parts from Wilkes Barre store.. 2 hours later we phoned again and was told they did not get parts yet...another 2 hours went by and now was appx 6 or 7 pm called again and was told they had to go to a local parts store and get parts and we will have the car back by closing 8:30 pm at 8:45 we called back and was told the car would not be ready till next day by noon. We arrived at noon and was told they were finishing up and will be ready in appx 2 hours. We told them to call when done...they called us back at 1 pm and told us it's done. When we arrived I asked to take it for a drive and was handed the keys... I started the vehicle and immediately felt the clunk was worse. Now I called regional manager and was told he was at the facility, when I confronted him he said, we did all we can do and it was fixed, I told him take it for a ride and see what I told him it's worse...He and an associate (manager or ?) took it for a ride and we were told we can't ride with them...they came back 15 minutes later and said again we did what we had to do and they don't have the proper diagnostics for said problem. I replied well then I'm not paying the extra and the argument got heated and was told I was being rude, I never raised my voice or was diligent to them and asked what can be done? They told us to come inside and see what can be done...They offered to drop the labor charge and just pay for new parts or they can put on old parts (ridiculous) and call it even...My girlfriend decided to just pay for the parts and we'll be done with this...they also apologized for the situation and told us at least you have a new front end and to take it to a dealer and have it diagnosed and bring it back they will fix it...(I thought is this a joke?) I then took the old parts to another mechanic (2 of them) and was told there was really nothing wrong with said parts...and all it really needed was a universal in the steering column...total rip off of $1530.48 Disgusted by all of this how we were taken Advantage of ...Have copies of receipts and parts if wanted...
Desired outcome: nothing was done sent this to Mavis corporate complaint dept Oct ^would like a refund
Tire Replacement at the Brookhaven Mavis
Saturday, October 15. I had a reservation at 11am. This was my 2nd time making a reservation to have a tire replaced. On Sunday, October 9, I had a 12pm reservation only to arrive and be told there were no techs.
I immediately went home and made a reservation for Saturday, October 15. My appointment was 11am. An african american couple came in after me. Three hour later the couple that came in after me, their tire was being replaced.
I went to the counter and inquired why was it that the couple that came in after me their tire was being replaced when I was there first. The manager then went to look at the service tickets , found mine and moved it to the top. Four hours later I finally had my new tire.
That is no way to treat a customer.
The Brookhaven Mavis really needs to work on their customer service and time management.
I will not go back to Mavis. You have lost my business.
Unauthorized credit card charges
Purchased four new tires on October 15, 2022. The statement included "Extended Warranty By Tread Depth" for $147.96. I told the manager that I did not want the extended warranty and requested a credit to my charge card. He told me that had to be approved by the home office. After two visits to the store in Wimauma, Florida, I have not received the refund.
Desired outcome: A credit to my charge card.
Paid for service on Sat. The car broke down the next day.
My car began overheating. When I checked the coolant reservoir the cap was loose. I didn’t have any more coolant and had to get the car towed. I called Mavis to see if they worked on coolant systems and was told they do. They proceeded to put a “new reservoir” on the car but it started leaking at the same supposedly newly replaced reservoir. I’m not from this area and was driving through. I’ve been stranded in Bordentown since Friday.
Desired outcome: Repair my car at no further expense.
Damage to my transmission
On September 29,2022, Mavis tires and Brakes in Vernon Hills replaced all four tires for my 2015 Nissan Versa. When ready, I drove out and went on the highway to get back home. Once my car reached the speed of 45 miles per hour, the steering wheel and car started shaking very bad. I lowered my speed to 40 miles per hour and the shaking stopped called Mavis again and explained what was going on. The host told me to bring back the car to check it.He made a comment, which at the time I did not understand. He said not to worry and most likely a clip might have broken off from the lift or the drop. The next day, Sept 30 I went back. The tech came up front, took the keys and said that they will re balance the tires Once done I drove back home, and car was not shaking. I parked in front of my garage and noticed a tiny drip from the driver side. I thought it was from the AC, so I did not make much of it.The next morning October 1, a huge oil spot was by the driver's side about 10 " from the tire. I called them again and told me to bring the car back, I brought the car back on Oct 2 and dropped it off. The host called me and said all the transmition fluid is gone and I need to tow the car to a transmition repair shop. He claimed that they had nothing to do with the damage. The car is still there. I google the situation and find out that if a car is lifted too fast or dropped can damage the transmition. Also if they did not put the lift on the right spot, the transition can get damaged. It was definitely the mechanics mishandling the lift or negligent where he places the bars for the lift
Desired outcome: You can repair my transmition yourselves or indicate a shop you work with so they can do the repairs and Mavis picks up the cost or make a commitment to reimburse me the cost of the repairs, if I pay out of pocket.
