01/10/2025-Go through the drive-thru at least a couple times a week. Getting to know the various staff well. Always pleasant, always courteous and efficient. Except for yesterday (01/09/2025.)
Wow, someone (new) is not a people person. Went through drive-thru at 7:41 a.m. The order taker (Freena, I'm told) did not understand order following multiple exchanges, a simple #8, ala-cart and (2) hot sauce. She couldn't get past a #8 combo. Trying to explain it she ended the conversation by saying, "just pull around". Doing so and pulling up to the cashier window, she asked for the wrong sum of money. She pulled back with eyes wide open. She repeated a #8 order with a Coke. Sorry, I repeated my request x3 times. She pulled back and said I was speaking too fast. Now the staff behind her were just shaking their heads. I politely asked for another person to speak to. She closed the window, left and came back +/-30 seconds later. She asked if wanted the #8 with a Coke. I declined again asking 'now' for the manager. This person was upset believe me. She again closed the window and walked away. A young lady (Brenda) opened the window and asked if she could help. Told her what I wanted. She smiled said $4.27. I paid, got food and gone in +/-3 minutes.
So, lets be clear. This Freena (spelling?) is not knowledgeable of your menu board. She does not understand simple communication and takes request very negatively when the customer has reached a dead-end with her.
Desired outcome: I don't think it is good for this store to have this person on the front-line; maybe in the back. Employee doesn't know the order board and has difficulty with English. Definitely not a 'front-line' manager material.
