Hi, firstly I want to apologise if I am writing to the wrong office. I am kinda desperate to put a stop to this scammer who is using Nat Geo's name and scamming innocent people. I really think you ought to know about this Company called Metem Technology. They sell the National Geographic telescope (Nat Geo 20-60x60 Spotting Scope). They say the product is made in Netherlands. Metem International B.V. Kabelweg 43 1014 BA Amsterdam, Netherlands +[protected]. I paid over SGD$160 for this and to date they have not delivered it. I eventually went to their Facebook page and on it are hundreds of people who have not received their product. Is this a Nigerian scam? Many of complained to the Facebook page and the standard reply is send us your email and we will get back to you. I called the Netherlands Company and it is a bad line. It gets rerouted, and then silence. That follows with a standard pseudo Fed X email that say that they cannot contact me and to open a zip file they sent, and print it out. The file is only 2.6kb and cannot be opened. I have written to the Police of Netherlands and you.No response yet. I have send an email to Fed X in Singapore and they are investigating the matter. Are you going to leave this alone is my question?. With your sources can you investigate and stop this scammer? It’s my hard earned money. And when you think of the rest of the old people who are being cheated, without guilt or conscience it’s sickening. These are some of the comments in Metem"s Facebook page. Gerald Lang: Like many others I bought and paid for the Nat Geo 20-60x60 Spotting Scope (order [protected]). This was several weeks ago. No delivery. I sent you a message. No response. Your customer service is bad! I want to know if and when my purchase will be delivered, and if not I demand a full refund. There are EU laws against scams. Very disatisfied customer Roy Heaton: Stay away from this firm, they will not deliver your goods, I ordered a spotter telescope on the 6th August, and still no word of delivery. They promise to dispatch within 7 days, they lie! John Rampton: It still amazes me that illiterate non English speaking i...spoof up these websites and claim legitimacy . However there are many of is dumb enough to be caught by it . Shame on us . Chris Kiki: I also ordered this type of product recently, but seen comments from other customers of Metem, I wonder and remains worried. My order is recent, I know it won't happen right away, but I see on the Facebook site of Metem that numbers of people have not received their products although they've paid... I'm really worried! We have sent you an email on the 26th of October informing you that the shipping company was trying to deliver your order but your address was incorrect and we needed the right address to inform them as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, we didn't receive any answer from you and after one month at the parcel delivery center in France, the package returned to us.

Ho prenotato un binocolo il giorno 7 novembre 2015 - ho pagato a mezzo carta di credito e non ho ancora ricevuto l'oggetto.
Cosa e' successo? perché' non mi spedite il binocolo che ho pagato? spero che ci sia un ritardo normale. Grazie

Dear Sir,

I am writing from France about my order. I have the same problem. I ordered the " Nat geo telescope" on the 7th of October 2015. Then, I received an email telling me that I would receive my order once the money would be debited from my account. The money was debited from my account on the 9th of October 2015. I sent you two emails (one written in French and the other one written in English). No answer. It's been 2 months! Where is my order?

I agree that there is a serious problem with orders for this telescope.
I have the same problem and the supplier and his freight forwarder had the cheek to inform me that the item was delivered. The morale of the story is do not trust METEM INTERNATIONAL BV. They are very disrespectful towards clients and although mistakes can happen, I am starting to have second doubts on the validity of their statements as this are not starting to add up. My recommendation is DO NOT ORDER FROM METEM INTERNATIONAL BV and if you make the mistake like I have done at least pay by PAYPAL who will be the only entity that will be able to help you fight this. I've placed an order with them last night - seeing these reviews worries me, but I do live in Amsterdam so I may pay their office a visit if I do have issues, plus I paid by credit card, so I can ask them to refund me if I don't get my items. It seems they put the default address as the United Kingdom when I live in the Netherlands.
I really hope these people are reputable, will provide an update when I hear more.

Ho aquistato un Nat geo20-60x60 pagato 99.90 euro ma ad oggi mi dite che il prodotto non hè disponibile se il prodotto non esiste rintegratemi la somma sulla mia carta di credito, semplice no in caso contrario saro costretto a ricorrere a gli organi di Polizia predisposti.

Hi Metem,
I have also order NG Solar Powerbank with order number [protected] and have yet to receive it. I called up the customer service and they cannot find my order number although I have received confirmation email of the product I purchased.

Can you check on this and reply back with when my I will receive my order?

Hi all, I am from Singapore and have also order Nat Geo 20-60x60 Spotting Scope in Feb this year, Metem has been sending messages delaying again and again the delivery of the item. I have already made the payment in Feb, but, until today, still have not receive the item. Please do not buy from this company.

hi, i have been ordered and paid by credit card but i did not received any confirmation email and order number too, but my credit card debited by metem technology amsterdam, i have been sent few mail to zoomtelescope.com about my order but no response, i can not trust anymore i am going to complained to Facebook admin for sponsors page response team, also international crime police department in Netherland. please do not trust this kind of online seller and immediately make a complaint to police against it. regards Muhammad Al Kabir, New Zealand

Till now, I have not received any order confirmation mail from your end and also, status of despatch of the materials.

We are very disappointed with unprofessional attitude after the problem occurred when Heider product ordered. We informed Metem International, who was involved in this order procedure, about problem and ask to find solution, but they never give us any answer on several email messages.

I pointed out that main problem of returning order are additional costs which are not listed anywhere during making order, and I therefore can not cover those extra costs by itself as it doubles real price. It looks like real buyer deception...

As mentioned, we kindly ask them for response in order to find a solution, but never got any answer on any message. We did not get money back or any other explanation.
Now we are reporting them as our rights have been violated. We only want now refund.

Luckily for me, I only ordered and paid to this Scam Company for the camera attachment over a month ago, I have had no confirmation from them after several emails I sent asking when I could expect delivery. In my humble opinion, I think its about time Facebook stopped avertising for Heider's products because members are vunerable by assuming Facebook supports them.

To Whom it may concern,

Like most on the Complaints Board I have also ordered from he Facebook link. Specifically for a telescope.
When ordered I didn't receive any confirmation email or receipt, just a deduction from my credit card.
The money in AU$224.94 was taken on 06 Dec 16, stating the vendor as METAM TECHNOLOGY AMSTERDAM.
My postal address listed was 60 Clancy McKenna Cres, Bonner, ACT, Australia, 2914.
It has now been 11 days with no correspondence or the item being delivered.
What is going on with your service, how can their be so many companies and yet you are still not send items on time and ANY correspondence.
