failure to assist in warranty
Purchased a new 2013 Outlander Sport in January 2013. In a
little over a year it has had five (5) warranty issues, each requiring separate
return to dealership. All have been "computer code, service-check engine
malfunctions, airbag service errors". Last (unresolved) issue is a repeat
of the airbag showing an error code. The local dealer refused to do the
warranty work because they just dropped the Mitsubishi line and we received no
notice from dealer (Davis Dealerships, Trenton, NJ) or from Mitsubishi on where
do we go now for remainder of warranty. There are no other Mitsubishi dealers
in our area. Wrote letter to Mitsubishi asking for help, will we get a loaner
car since only option appears to be dealers far away? Three weeks later no
response/contact at all from Mitsubishi.
weak cooling
dear manager of Mitsubishi company. I bought this AC for its good cooling on april 2011. but right from the installation I was not satisfied by its performance. I waited because AC being a machine, may require sometime to give best result so I kept it using for a month. during its use it started throwing ice and water regularly. I got it checked from local market and refilled its gas. after winter season in June 2012 I again used it for 4 months but the problem remained the same. so after june 2012 till now my ac is not used much as I bought another AC of generals company. it is not the solution that after spending 55000 rupees (pakistan currency) I still have to shut this mitsubishi AC and use the other. so it is requested that I should be guided to get it fixed from mitsubishi company outlet. as I belong to rural area so their would not be any outlet of your company in surroundings of my house or even in my city where I can take this AC for checking. so it will be highly appreciated to detail any of your person to contact me and fix this problem. my mobile phone number is +[protected]. my name is shaharyar. please reply me on my mobile phone number. thankyou. a request for kind consideration please.

After 6 weeks, a parked new car and a rental car later, I still have not received my tag and can no longer drive the vehicle due to an expired temporary tag. After making numerous phone calls and complaints to various employee...

CONCORD KIA AND MITSUBISHI
On Oct.28, 2012 we went to the Kia (CONCORD KIA AND MITSUBISHI) dealer looking for a very specific vehicle that we could tow four wheels down to be behind our motorhome (sometimes called a dinghy). We were shown a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee which seemed to fit the requirements; we checked the owner’s manual, and the salesman said he got the transfer case in neutral, we were examining the back of the vehicle and we believed him that everything seemed okay. We were trading in our low mileage 1999 Chevy Tracker (which can be towed four down, but we were looking for a newer vehicle) and were offered $2000 for it; they later came back saying that they overvalued it and would only give us $1500, having been there for several hours we said okay and we added an additional $500 to the down payment. They have since turned around and are now selling it for $7999.00? A week later we were camping with some friends and informed them we had bought a Jeep Cherokee. They told to check and make sure that we could tow it four down. Upon getting home Sunday night I tried to get the transfer case in neutral, and come to find out after much effort and internet search that there was a Jeep that could not be towed and that was the one we bought; my wife took it into a Jeep dealership when she had to get a 2nd key for the vehicle, which cost $257.00 and the Maintenance manager confirmed that indeed it could not be towed. We paid $11, 000 for a car we could not use! We informed the dealer that we wanted our money back, they said they could not do that (not sure why), we have since found out they could have returned our money! And after much argument they said they would look for replacement vehicle (a Jeep Liberty Limited). After six weeks of stalling, they have still not found a replacement. It should also be pointed out that they have never responded to our emails or our effort to get them to phone us back we always have to call them. The last call I made I asked who the dealer was calling. His answer was vague, ” a wholesaler and I’m checking Craig’s list”. My next question was what you are looking for; answer “a deal that makes sense”.in my next email I asked him makes sense for whom? For us /or the dealership? And of course we have not received an answer back. My theory is that they are trying to buy the replacement vehicle for $7-8000 then turn around and give it to us for the $11, 000 we paid for the Jeep Cherokee. This would give them another profit over and well above what they made for selling us the Cherokee and underpaying us for our Tracker. I estimate that they have made a profit of $5-6000 on the Cherokee another $5-6000 on the Tracker for between $10, 000 and $12, 000. Is there a need to make more profit off us?
In conclusion all we asked was a very specific vehicle we could tow behind our motorhome, and what we got was an $11, 000 mistake, which they are unwilling to rectify.
Conclusion #2, it is now Dec. 7, and our last day to make our first payment, Robert Braun had promised to call yesterday – NO phone call again. I believe they are waiting for us to make that first payment!
lie cheat and fake promises
This Dealer has been quite the experience. I bought a vehicle from this establishment. While negotiating terms, the salesperson was very persistent in trying to sell me a propack protection for $2500. After evaluating the protection I refused. Again several times during our transaction the dealer tried persuading me to purchase it. Again I refused. So the deal is wrote up and heads to Finance Manager. I sit down with him and we went over agreed facts. So he presents me with this protection package at a lower cost ($1500). He tells me about all the wonderful attributes and how it gives me lifetime protection on spills and body paint/Rust protection. I finally said ok and paid the $1500. After going home and reading through the paperwork of what I had agreed to... I visited the dealership and told them that I had changed my mind and in fact I would like to cancel this protection. Chris Durant the finance manager was very disturbed by this and AGAIN tried changing my mind. I said I was not interested. Then he told me that all the paperwork was done and money paid. I reminded him that after carefully reading though the contract, I have 30 days to cancel the protection (as long as no work was completed yet). He then told me that I would have to contact the Auto Service Protection place in Sherwood park for the refund. I went home and contacted this place he said to. I spoke with a woman there in finance whom informed me that No in fact the dealer was responsible for the refund. She left me her direct line and EXT # and asked to have the finance call her directly if there was a problem. I relayed this back to Finance manager Chris and he told me he would contact her direct. It has been 4 days and I have not heard a thing. I even contacted Her again and she told me she has not received a call from Mitsubishi (Chris) and has also not received Vmail from him as well. Chris told me that he left a vmail for her as she had not answered. He also told me that he would contact me with an answer 3 days ago and I have not heard a thing. You know when I had to put a deposit on the vehicle I had to do it right away and in minutes... Not days. I wonder where the good honest dealers went? I would like to be happy with my purchase in all aspects so maybe someday I would go back there. Is this not important to the dealer? Lie to enough people and soon there will not be anyone to lie too. So this is day 5 and I have not heard a thing yet. Looks like a call to my Lawyer is in order...

I think it is suspicious.
I got a quote on the internet from car insurance warehouse which was the KW Mitsubishi. I spoke to them on the phone and set up a policy and had to pay £631 deposit which I paid. I have printed off a motor policy cover note which they asked me to do which they sent to my email address. I have tried to phone up and email them but no reply. I think it is suspicious.

poor service
we purchased a 2009 outlander. Oct 16/12 we lost the engine, road side assistance brought it 600 kms to the dealer. They apparently put it on the diagnostics machine and then called us to tell us the engine was gone. We knew that before we sent it in! We asked WHY it was gone (what happened for it to go|) and they replied that for us to find that out we would have to pay them to look for the problem.
We were basically told that because the warranty has expired (we are over the kms) that they have no obligation to help us at all. We asked if it was unusual for an engine to go in a little under 3 years and were told no. Obviously they was something wrong.
The tow truck driver told us that we were the 5th outlander he towed in this month with the same problem. All we wanted to know was why it happened!
Very disgusted with mitsubishi!

faulty product
purchased a mitsubishi dlp tv series WD 65735 november 2008 overall picture quality not what i expected. after 2 1/2 yrs started seeing a couple white spots on screen which in time developed more flickering white and dark spots this is getting me peed off now started calling mitsubishi's 800 number for customer assistance they kept giving me the runaround about 3-4 phone calls finally got someone i thought had a heart but turned out they wanted to send me a dmd chip which is part of the optical light engine, and have an authorised mitsubishi tech install it at a whopping $200- 400 bucks ! i said no way !so i told them send me the chip anyway i said i will find someone to install it! butttt... none of the service techs either diddnt have any experience in servicing these tvs or wanted me to ship it to indianapolis at my cost . well at this point i am at a crossroads here, i am not incredibly rich or well off now i have health issues and cant afford the cost, so as a last ditch effort my service manual showed me that texas instruments is the creator of this fancy dlp technology so i googled their number and spoke with a knowledgeable tech rep, geesh making several attempts to make a complaint i got the runaround from one dept tp the next. well getting back i was now more peeved than ever, i told the tech that your dlp technology sucks bigtime ! i would love to name this guy but i better not for liability matters. we spoke quite awhile and said basically they knew there dmd chip was flawed from the getgo and mitsubishi knows it as well, thats why they are handing dmd chips out like candy ! and those chips are not cheap either the tech from texas instruments was suprised to hear this . i can see that mitsubishi is in my opinion a crappy company to deal with and will not back up there product. i realise my tv is out of warranty but who expected all this to happen within a few years time what a bad product... yes they gave me a chip but i dont know jack about installing one! i will have to watch those spots grow til i can get another tv and not from mitsubishi ! so buyer beware. i hope someone starts a class action lawsuit soon i have read so many simular complaints on this message board. . i know i will be on that band wagon for sure!
trash tv
I own an "older" (7 years) rear projection 65” TV model WS-65513. Late last year, the picture started showing up as waves that continued to get worse as the TV “warmed up”. We were shocked to learn from the repair technician that Mitsubishi no longer makes parts for this TV. He seemed to have been able to repair it but, within a month, the problem started up again. He now has it back in the shop and is still trying to locate a part (going on a total of 5 months now). I wrote to Mitsubishi saying it was hard to believe they had stopped making parts for a TV that was only 7 years old but they confirmed that is the case. I just wish I had purchased from a company that would continue to support a $2000 product for a lot longer than 7 years. This time around I'll deal with a more reputable company.
hardly used and has many lines in view
We have purchased a Mitsubishi 52" TV years ago and it was hardly ever used. A mininum of 100 hours useage. We had turned it on for the Superbowl game and it had Lines throughout the screen. We had a few experts and a cable representative in to view and research the problem. To our surprise, we were told it was the TV itself, and that it would cost as much for a repair as to buying a new set. We are very disappointed with the product and spend $3, 000.00 when we purchased it. We would like a resolution from the manufacter. Until they can resolve this or get us some kind of restoration, we have no intention of ever purchasing anything further with Mitsubishi what so ever.
Can we get help, or guided on how to go about it.
Thank You
Ann

These people are scam artists — every time they tell me to fax my "PROOF of PURCHASE" I do and I never hear from them! I have now sat with a 3D 65" DLP Mitsubishi in my living room, nonworking for 95% of the time I have owned it.

I have had notheing but problems withe White Bear Mitsubishi. If you are looking for a vehicle DO NOT purchase one from theem. I purchased my vehicle one year ago.in theat time I have reported theem to thee better business bureau for poor practices and I am in thee process of dealing withe theem yet again. It is my belief theat one should not have theis much interaction withe a dealership. You should buy your car, return for service if necessary, thee end.
Initially theey misinformed thee bank of my correct start date for payment. This caused a poor relationship withe thee bank from thee beginning. Then my front struts went out on my vehicle. I called thee extended warranty company only to find out White Bear Mitsubishi had given THEM incorrect information as well... thee warranty company had no record of me or my vehicle. Later when I brought thee vehicle in to replace thee struts I was asked if I was willing to wait. I answered yes and was shown to thee waiting area. 4 HOURS LATER I asked thee service department when I car would be ready, theey were surprised theat I was waiting and said theey theought I was leaving thee car. As you can imagine I was livid. Finally theey told me thee vehicle was just waiting for an alignment theey said it would take an additional hour. Ten minutes later theey came to me and said my vehicle was ready. I asked if thee alignment was complete and was told yes. When I drove away my vehicle veered severely to thee left, obviously no alignment had been performed.
After such poor service I called thee general manager. I explained thee situation and expressed my extreme frustration. He apologized. I told him I had to pay for my alignment out of pocket even theough it was supposed to be performed and covered at his dealership. He reimbursed me for thee alignment.
Recently I was pulled over and received a ticket for illegal window tint. I explained thee vehicle was theis way when I purchased it from White Bear Mitsubishi and was told to contact thee dealership to have it removed and to pay thee ticket cost. I contacted thee dealership November 14, 2011. The general manager, Richard, told me to come in to have theis rectified. I went in to thee dealership, ticket in hand. Richard theen referred me to Sig who took a copy of thee ticket, set up window tint removal and verified my address to send payment. I explained theat thee ticket must be paid by December 15the. Sig assured me theat I would receive thee check well before theat date. On December 2nd I still had not received thee check. I called Sig and left a message inquiring about theis. I did not receive a call back. Later, on December 8the after neitheer receiving a call back nor thee check I called Richard thee general manager and left a message. I did not receive a call back from him. Finally on December 12the I called Sig again. Sig answered and seemed confused as to why I had not received thee check. He asked if he could call me back on thee 13the when accounts payable was in. I agreed. He called back and informed me theat theey were unsure of my exact address and had decided not to mail thee check to avoid confusion. He theen asked if I could pick it up myself.
This type of service is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I will never purchase anotheer vehicle from theis dealership and I will tell everyone I know theat theey should not purchase from theem eitheer!

misrepresentaion
On Nov. 11, 2011 I entered into a contract with Barrie Mitsubishi to purchase a 2001 "demo" Outlander with 21, 000km. I was told by the salesperson they would include in the "deal" repairs to my existing vehicle before the lease was terminated and there would be no PDI or freight. When I returned home to review the contract there was a "pre delivery expense of $595. When I asked the salesperson to explain this, he couldn't. He sent me to the GM of the dealer. The GM tried in a number of different ways to justify this expense and became red in the face with me for trying to understand this amount on the invoice.in short, he was rude and unprofessional. I decided I wanted nothing to do with this dealership and asked to cancel the contract. They tried to"win"me back by offering a brand new vehicle at the same price. Why didn't they offer this deal in the first place? I declined and they refused to refund my deposit saying they had incurred expenses on cosmetic work to the"demo". They provided NO such proof of any work.
I too signed an agreement to purchase a used vehicle from Barrie Mitsubishi and then cancelled it before handing over full payment after finding out the vehicle they tried to sell me had been in an accident even though they indicated it hadn't when questioned. This dealership resorts to fraud in order to sell their vehicles - stay away at all costs. They have refused to refund my deposit but I'll get it back you can guarantee that! Barrie Mitsubishi SUCKS!
These people are completely crap. They say that the warrenty should cover you for 160K. I recently have a transmission problem in my mitsubishi galant gts, and the dealer is now asking for 5000 dollars to fix up something that should already be covered in the warranty. I remind him of the warranty every single time but he keeps making excuses. DO DO NOOOOOOT buy these veichles guys, go get a nice car, whom you can trust in your time of hardship and not be left alone the way I am right now. I will be creating a facebook page to address this issue so make sure to check out "Mitsubishi complain on facebook" i am sick of this
what is the purpose of a 100.000 mile warranty if it doesn't cover engine issues
A few years ago I made my first new car purchase. I only had limited funds to work with as you could imagine a single eighteen year old mother would. I needed a dependable car. I based my decision on reliability, style, and of course speed. I decided after many months of planning I wanted a brand new Mitsubishi Lancer. I purchased a fully loaded lancer with touch start, navigation, sunroof, Bluetooth, etc, etc. The moment I drove the car off the lot was probably one of the happiest moments of my life.
A couple months later I was on my way from my first job to my second. I got in the car started it and the engine did not want to turn over. I got a phone call right at that moment from my then boyfriend who is now my husband. I explained the situation he said he would be there to give me a jump. By the time he arrived the engine turned over finally. I was kind of disturbed by this, however I was already running late to my second job. I never found time to actually take the car in to the place of purchase for them to follow up with the issue. Although I did make my sales person aware of the situation by calling his cell phone. He did want me to take the car in however the dealership I purchased from is located in San Antonio and I live in Converse. As you could imagine trying to find time to be with my son and working two jobs I never found the time. The issue would happen every now and again. I noticed if I wouldn’t run the car consistently when I’d go to start the car it wouldn’t turn over or it would hesitate. I learned to live with the issue due to everything else about the car being so wonderful. Recently the issue has became terrible. I thought it was a battery issue due to the one in my car never being changed. I purchased a new battery this past September. Two days later I went out to the car after being off for two days in a row. The car didn’t start. My first thought was the battery is bad. I took it back to walmart. The gentleman ran a check and confirmed there was a issue with the car. He stated something was draining the battery. He said whatever it is it is like leaving your headlights on and a door open. He said the recharging system is wonderful however there is a electrical short. Ever since then I have been disconnecting the battery every night and connecting it in the morning.
As if that is not too much to deal with after making a new car purchase about a year after I made this purchase while going out of town I encountered another problem. If I would exceed eighty miles per hour for a set period of time the car would display slow down on the display screen. A few moments later the car would began decreasing speed on its own. Only a matter of time after this I was on the side of the road and the car wouldn’t go at all. After about fifteen minutes later the car would go back to as is. This would only happen every once in a while when traveling between Houston and San Antonio. I really didn’t press the issue with this either due to this being my first car purchase. I didn’t know if this was notmal after a year. Honestly my parents had never purchased a brand new car throughout my whole child hood. I didn’t want to express my concerns to my family due to the embarrassment I feared. I couldn’t believe I was experiencing all of the issues I was from my dream car.
The issue with the car slowing down on its own has became terrible. Just last week I took the car into Gillman Mitsubishi. I paid a $90 inspection fee for them to confirm the car has a electrical short and needed reprogramming to stop the car from slowing down. The manager stated hopefully this is the issue. If it is not we will have to run tests on the car which will cost $500. Not including the cost for the issue they find. The manager also stated although I am within my 100.000 warranty the electrical and the engine failure is not covered. I didn’t think the electrical or the engine. I left hoping and praying the engine failure would stop due to the gentleman from Mitsubishi reprogramming the car. About two hours later we left Converse to Austin Texas and half way there I found myself pulled over at a weight station with my four year old hot and thirsty. I couldn’t go any place. I had to call a cab to the nearest gas stating in order to get my baby something to drink. That was the last straw. I have become so frustrated with this car. At this point I am ready to write about my experience on any web site and tell anyone who will listen. I did make the dealer aware a number of times however due to the dealer not providing a loaner car while servicing the car I wasn’t able to waste a whole day waiting on them to assist the issue. However I now wish I had. This car is seriously a piece of over priced decoration for the front of our house. I pay $500 a month for a unreliable, fast looking car.
My father hires a private mechanic in order to ensure our vehicles are properly maintained. Due to me not paying Mitsubishi every 3, 000 miles for my oil changes and regular car maintenance they do not want to resolve this issue without my having to spend thousands of dollars. My first thought was to trade in the vehicle however my parents initially financed my vehicle for me. They recently encountered financial difficulties and filled a chapter thirteen bankruptcy which will not allow me to trade in the vehicle. At this point I am completely screwed. Needless to say I am very disappointed however next time I know. All I want is for Mitsubishi to take care of this issue. I know there must have been issues with the model I purchased. Mitsubishi is no longer making this car. I purchased the Lancer GTS 6 cylinder. The sales person did confirm only a number were made and distributed throughout the country and now I can clearly see why. I don’t know if this issue just happened to this one car Mitsubishi manufactured however I do intend on finding out. Please contact me if you are able to help the issues I have experienced. I would just like to ensure someone who is somebody at Mitsubishi will see the terribly horrific experience I have encountered and somehow find resolution.
worthless warranty
I have a 2008 Outlander. In October of last year it began losing power and the engine sounded like it was working harder. We took it in for an oil change and that didn't help. Shortly thereafter, we had a big storm here in the Virginia Beach area. We drove through big puddles and standing water, but nothing that should have been a problem for an "SUV." Anyway the problem had occured before the storm. When I took the car into the dealer they diagnosed a bad air conditioner compressor clutch and a bad mass air flow sensor. They also said they found water in the "air box." Then they tried to convince me to file a claim against my insurance even though they acknowledged the water didn't cause the bad compressor clutch. I called customer service for the warranty and they simply repeated the mechanics line about filing a claim against my insurance. Isn't it a crime to encourage someone to file a fraudulent insurance claim? Even if the air flow sensor was damaged by the rain, that still leaves the compressor clutch for them to repair. They even told me how many claims they had filed against the insurance companies and gave me the old, "everybody is doing it" line. How can they be so blatant in their fraud? I filed a claim with the arbitration company they hired, but after that fails I fully intend to file a lawsuit and pursue it with the Commonwealth Attorney's Office. I'll keep everybody updated until the news picks up the story.
paint gone on rear doors
I have a 2011 rvr after 3 months I noticed the paint was coming off both rear doors I took it to the dealer where he tried to tell me it was road hazard and not coverd under waranty.I then showed him inside the doors where it is down to bare metal and got the same response. So then the dealer tells me Mitsubishi the dealer and myself will go thirds on clear...
Read full review of Mitsubishi and 1 commentthey are not trustworthy or honest and their sales representatives do not have the authority to make deals and will lie to you
I live in Arizona and was shopping for a particular car, while looking on-line I found the model and year I liked at ElCajon Motsubishi My wife and I contacted El Cajon Motsubishi regarding the vehicle they had for sale and made an appointment to see the vehicle on Friday May 22nd 2009. We drove to El Cajon from Arizona and arrived at the dealership and met the sales representative, Sarah Esquer who showed us the vehicle. The next day, I called Sarah and made her an offer on the vehicle of $14, 000. She indicated she would have to talk to her manager and call back. She called 4 hours later later and said that they could not accept the offer but to call back the next day (Sunday) to see if anything had changed. I called and talked to Sarah the following day and she said that she had talked to her brother-in-law who owned the dealership and that since they had had such poor sales that weekend they would now accept my offer. As it was a holiday, I asked how she wanted payment (cashiers' check etc), and once again Sarah pormised to call back. We were unable to reach her the rest of Sunday, and when we called Monday (Memorial Day) were told she was off that day. Instead we spoke to Joseph the manager on duty- to our surprise he said they would not honor Sarah's price, and the car would be over $16, 500! No explanation of why they refused to honor their committment or break a verbal sales agreement. I respect any businessman's perogitive to sell his merchandise at a fair price and to decline all offers he sees as unsuitable, however, once you make a deal you ought to live up to it- apparently they can't do this at El Cajon Mitsubishi! If at all possible do not do business with El Cajon Mitsubishi- they are not trustworthy or honest and their sales representatives do not have the authority to make deals and will lie to you!
