Good day
I bought my device from Game in Cape Town CBD on the 17th of January. I have had endless problems with the keyboard then it works then it does not. I was not told on purchase of device that it does not accept just any SIM I then contacted mobicel in and they insisted that I return the device to them to check out the keyboard as well as unblocking it, on Friday 15 February couriers collected the device in two boxes as it originally was purchased in and in brand new condition, with all the other gadgets, charger and cable as I was told to do.
On the 21 of February my device was delivered without me being informed of delivery as I would have to receive it, I arrived back from running an errand to find it laying on the front desk of my work... behind the counter sealed however.
I opened the package first, my device was just stuck on top of the keyboard all forced into one now broken box, the other box was not returned at all with my charger cable and other items that comes with the dice when purchased.
I had in the beginning told them I do not want to send my device as I had a problem with a Highsense mobile I had send problems with and after I had handed it in it was just never the same again.
I send them an email today asking about my accessories as well as my anger regarding the handling of my device as I have paid for it CASH!
They have replied with the following below.
I cannot if I wanted to use my device, I have decided to not use it, but go straight to consumer protection!

I have purchased a new phone at Markham's, Cape Town, Kenelworth Center, last year September, the phone was Faulty"could not answer a incoming call, returned within 7 days of purchase, the next phone had the same problem was sent in for repairs when returned the problem was not solved after a Month, contacted Mobicel ntsako@mobicel.co.za, Mr nicklasnaidoo@mobicell.co.za, thembi@mobicell.co.za and Mr Mojalefa@mobicell.co.za, they have sent the courier RAM to collect the Device, returned with the same problem, they have sent the Courier about 4times to collect, they said they are going to send me a New Phone, but when I received the Package which was sealed it was not a new phone, infact there was a SIM card in the device, and it was a faulty Phone when contacted them, they said they would send me a New Phone, they picked up and sent me a faulty phone again, it is now about 5 Months that I am without a phone, they asked me to hand it to Markham's, that's at the beginning of this Month, I am paying for A phone that I do not have, I have emailed the above mentioned persons but they do not respond, please help if legal Action Can be taken against them, they don't seem to worry about the problem, they have all information required to contact me.

Kindly please assist on the above cell number, I will like to lodge a formal complaint due to the fact that am not happy with feedback received that on the phone the is no fault. When charging this phone it does not charge it gives us black screen, whenever we charge the phone it does not go on, currently we have returning this phone for the third time. It is shocking to be told that no fault have been picked up on this phone. This phone was returned on the 06/11/2018, now in 2019 we are informed that the phone does not have any fault and we must pay for the bill. I will like to receive full report on what was done on the phone, how did they come to the conclusion that the phone does not have fault, as I am not willing to pay for any services due to the fact that I am fully aware that from my side the phone was not working hence Is was returned back to be serviced. Full investigation on this phone will be highly appreciated, it does not make sense for the phone to be given to us and it works for a day or two thereafter we are unable to utilise the phone. Thank you for your feedback, however, we are completely not satisfied with the response from your office claiming that there is "no fault" with the device. It is evident that the current device is no longer suitable for use as it continues to give us problems hence the initial repairs undertaken, did not yield positive results.
i continue to encounter problems whenever charging the device as the screen remains dark thus rendering the device unusable.
In light of the above, please be kind as to furnish me with the full repairs report for my records, reflecting damages and repairs done on the device.
I will also appreciate a copy of the warranties to enable me to exercise the option available to me,

Ibought my phone in 2018 at Ackermans. Im so dissapointed in Mobicell. The phone is in good condition. My phone is charging as it should be. My phone is making funny movements and its swith on by itself when I have put it off as it dials numbers without me knowing about it. This phone I bought as my work phone.
This phone is doing me no justice at all. I'm now forced to buy me a new phone. I feel that mobicell is just a money making thing. I would like to have a respond on my query if possible.

I bought my the phone at Totalsports in May 2018, and recently had i problem the phone doesn't charge i took it back to the store on 20/01/2019. I forgot to take my sim card out. it was sent for repairs after back and forth with Mobicel i was told that there is nothing wrong with the device, its my charge that has problem, Mobicel demanded i pay R170.00 for courier which i refused, finally Totalsport paid them . I received my phone on the 6th of Feb and sim card was not there. i bought a new charger phone still not charging

I bought a R6 Mobicell between the 19th and 20th December 2018, 2 hours after the phone was bought it died at 76% battery life. I tried to charge it thinking the battery was just acting up to no success. following morning I took the phone back to the shop and the consultant at the cellphones side said there is nothing they can do I must see what I do with the phone. I went back home and was advised to ask for the manager, I went back to Edgars after 2 days and spoke to the manager as I was told that is a factory fault, the manager promised to look into the matter and get back to me to date she is still getting back to me. on the 27Th December I sent the phone back to them with all the accessories.
on the 21st January I still had not received feedback and was not even given a replacement phone, I gave them a call yet they said they will phone me back, I had to call them on the 22 January asking for feedback.
Feedback im receiving is that the phone needs to be assessed or something.

Can you please assist me on this matter, nothing wrong with hearing someone on the line, but when I talk back the sound is noisy on their side.

mobicel astro factory defect/sd card reader malfunction
I have bought a new Mobicel astro a few weeks and a new micro sd card but the phone does pick up or read the sd card i have switched my phone off and on again to no avail? and i don't know what to do anymore i need to move some of my app for space on the phone, if this is a factory defect i would like a new phone that can actually read an Sd card or that had ample of space for at least a few apps?

Hi, I bought a Mobicelc R6 at Pep at Pretoria Central in September 2018. The phone was working all well until just recently when it cannot charge or transfer files to PC.
When you connect on a charger, it gets hot it ends up restarting. This week it is refusing to charge at all. I either have to place a charger by the corner to make it at least 1%, then it displays a message saying the temperature is high, then it goes off.
When connected with a USB cable on a PC, or with a USB using the little USB porter thing that came with a phone, it totally does not show options to send files. On a PC it only shows charging.
Just with my observations, I would think that the problem is a charging point.
I'm genuinely happy with the product and I will upgrade to R9 or any other upgrade to R6 after a year or so.
But I would like this phone to be fixed.

I bought my Mobicel R6 on the 14th of January 2019.It had no problem, but recently it started changing my time or being stuck at the same time for hours.TODAY when i woke up it was fine and battery full it jammed or stuck then it automatically restarted but it has been restarting 6am.i bought it at PEP STORES IN Pinetown
4" device; the storage
The mobicel device with me has an error when it comes to storage. My device has a 2GB internal storage because of it I had to delete important documents in favour of new important documents. I decided to buy a 16GB SanDisk to compensate for the lost documents and try increasing the space but however the internal storage keeps sending notifications of storage space running out. What is this?

i purchase a mobicel switch from jet store westgate on the 22/09/2018.the salesman said that it is a good phone a you wont have any problems.already two months now and i am really frustrated with this phone.it is very slow, take long to respond when your want to read emails and opening apps as well.i am dissapointed with mobicel and would not recommend to anyone.

I purchased a Mobicel Candy recently. The internal memory is over 95% full before I downloaded any apps. Since downloading the FNB and Wats up app, the phone Internal memory is almost full (3.93GB). I cannot open pics, audio, videos ever since. The phone is now too slow.
I called helpdesk at Mobicel, I was put through a call centre agent then to a Supervisor, named Wayne. I explain the problem, and he advised:
1. I should have checked the phone before buying the phone, I advised Wayne this is not allowed, as you have to first pay before the phone is opened. This is the norm at any store. The phone on display has no battery in them, therefore you cannot check this phone either. you have no opportunity to check internal memory before purchase. Also this is not normal practice to check internal memory before purchase, as one don't expect it to be almost full as a brand new phone.
2. I explained that the internal memory is over 95% full when purchased, why would a manufacturer sell such a phone as this will effect the functioning of the phone.
3. Wayne got angry and shouted out that I should have read the technical info on box?
4.Wayne advise that the phone is a entry level phone, and that its unlike any smartphones. My question is...Why would the manufacturer load apps like other smartphones, but we are expected not the use it anyway.
5.Wayne further confirmed the latest phones have more internal memory space, I think someone know there is a fault in the internal memory of the Candy phone.
Mobicel must come to some arrangement or refund customers for this error, and call centre agent must be sent for more customer centred training.

too much lag
I bought a new mobicel berry from pep store but whenever I play games it starts lagging too much, freezing, not responding until the game crashes.Am sorry to say this but this phone is not worth its price .This phone does not support gravity now I wonder why does it has a screen rotation option . This phone only has a big screen to attract customers but this not what you a phone I mean not even a gaming toy has 464 ram why so small ram guys, no man you should remanufacture this phone because phones with android version 6.0 are not of this type. Take a good example from other manufactures .

I purchased the mobicell neo 7 on the 25/11/17 from an Edgar's in midlands mall Pietermaritzburg. For the past month I am experiencing that the tab constantly freezes and starts to reboot by itself . the problem seems to be getting worse as it happens more often. Hi. I bought a mobicell r6 at Ackerman's a while ago, after using the phone for some time I realised that the camera isn't functioning well therefore not allowing me to open it unless I switch the phone off and then on again, which is very frustrating when I wanting to take a pic isn't viable for that moment. Again it keeps on saying storage full please delete apps u no longer need. I already have an SD card which makes this whole thing tiring as It doesn't even give me an option to store or download my stuff on the SD card which is by the way literally empty, I don't even know what's in the 'system storage'. Is there a way to fix these problems. Please help

The phone is android 7.0 but it still doesn't support other apks, you should really make a software update for the phone. The phone has a lag when ever I use the internet and when I play online gaming too. So please make a software update for the Mobicel Pure Plus .I don't want to buy another phone because I like this phone the most .Mobicel I know you mostly don't provide software updates but please make one for the Mobicel Pure Plus .

Hi i recently brought a mobicel v4 phone on the 8th month of 2018
now all of a sudden its my whatsapp is noting working so i deleted stuff on my phone thinking its the space but it turns out i was wrong now its not allowing to download whatsapp or share it, i thought i was the only going through but today this guy told me he was having the same problem.

Phone heats up and the phone is only 13 days old and already im having issues with it. Now Im told that I need to take it for repairs. Then I have to stay 6 weeks for without a phone that I paid for. R500 is alot of mine. I feel like the phone is a second hand phone. The guys are not even clued up with their own product. I requested assistance with regards to storage settings and they cannot assist me. Honestly I need a refund.

I purchased a 10.1 mobicel tablet on 6th November 2018 with 3 hours the device was almost destroyed. The cover provided with the device couldn't have been designed better as a booby trap for the slow of hand. The case is unable to retain the heavy construction of the tablet with the corner retaining clips yielding to the weight of the tablet. Fortunately I was able to grasp it before it connected with surfaces preventing shock or damage to the device. Guys come on this has surely been picked up as a problem well before marketing!

Bought the mobicel Astro last week and it gets heated up at the back top whenever I use it, also the battery life is ridiculous. I left it at 40+% yesterday and I slept, no activity none whatsoever and I woke up it was dead.. even today while I was at church it did the same thing, it had 58% and after church it was at 5% mind you I never touchd it nor did I receive any call, message and mobile was off the whole time. Really, this ain't cool
