Morrisons Why do you keep advertising British asparagus and fill the area with ones from Peru?

I have been into several branches of Morrison's recently looking for seasonal British asparagus - at the entrance there were trays announcing British asparagus reduced to £1.49! On closer examination they were all marked Peru - presumably their source. When I tracked down British it was wrapped and cost £1.89.

Desired outcome: Clear labels of origin on products

Morrisons Customer service

So I went into the store in dukinfield today and had my 12 week old baby in a small shopping trolley. I only had a couple of items and every time I have been in they allow me to go on the self serve as I have the baby they just ask me to go onto the end checkout so i'm not taking up too much room which I highly appreciate. Today I went in and a lady by the name of kay would not allow me to go onto the self serve as I had the trolley. I explained that the workers allow me in there and ask me to go at the end and she still refused. I then had to cue up for 30 minutes just to pay for a couple of items. She made my life a lot more difficult than it needed to be. I called my mum to tell her and she had an experience with the same lady the day before being highly rude to her. If she doesn't like her job then she needs to her a job elsewhere.

Desired outcome: Warning or a discount

Morrisons A person that works in Morrison’s

I went to the Dover store in Kent with my friend and one of my friends knew the worker named Bill and they were talking I then leave Morrison's only to find out this worker has slagged me off saying very inappropriate things and I do not think it is acceptable that I got and do my shopping to be scrutinised and foul mouthed by a worker that does not even know me! He made comments on my weight he also made comments on various other personal things towards me and I think this is totally unacceptable behaviour I expect something to be done about this

Morrisons Customer service

I worked as a guard for your Morrison's on sproughton road Ipswich. Two female workers were extremely rude to me embarrassing me in front of customers over ID to which I had presented (sia lisence) a manager was called and the manager then laughed and fabricated a story that I had been aggressive and rude even though it was a total lie. Pic provided. I was then sent home by male manager of store due to this and stil no way to make a complaint.

Desired outcome: All three female workers fired for gross misconduct firsty for lying and saying I hadn’t had ID, secondly for the way I was dealt with in front of customers and thirdly the female manager lying to make it seem I had been aggressive

Morrisons Foam Mushrooms sharing bag

I am filing a complaint as I am extremely unhappy with my packet of foam mushrooms that I received. Whilst eating them I noticed that several had hard white lumps of something on, which I actually couldn't eat. Therefore about 1/3 of the bag was wasted and had to go in the bin, and I am therefore not getting my money's worth that I paid for. I hope you can resolve this, so that I can continue to purchase the sweets from Morrison's as at the moment I am not at all satisfied with what I have bought.

Many thanks
Katie

This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

Morrison supermarket at Westcroft, Milton Keynes have got 4 self serve checkouts for trolley shopping and approx 15 self serve checkouts for basket shopping. For the last 3-4 weeks the checkouts for trolleys are card payment only. I contacted customer service manager at the store and was told it was because of the Covid that the checkouts were not accepting...

Morrisons A foreign object in my food

To whom it may concern,

I would like to make a complaint. I was eating a ready to eat Spanish tortilla that I brought from your Bletchley store, and I found a broken machine bolt inside it. This is absolutely unacceptable. Please file my complaint and get back to me as soon as possible with a solution. Had it of been a child or had I of actually bitten into it, the outcome could of been much more serious.

I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

Regards,
Lauren James

Morrisons Stale hot cross buns

Having been isolated For nearly 2 yearsI came into your store at Dorcan with my grandson who was helping me, we picked up four packets of hot Cross buns Only to get them home, give my grandson one and they were absolutely disgusting stale and inedible, very disappointed, being an old age pensioner and obviously living on a short income I find this very annoying.

Desired outcome: Refund

Morrisons Glass teapot with diffuser.

Yesterday I bought a glass teapot with inbuilt diffuser for £10 from your store in Enfield.
It looked really nice but is not fit for purpose. As you as you attempt to pour it the tea goes everywhere.
Very poor design.

My email address is Carolann.[protected]@hotmail.co.uk.

Thankyou for your attention.

Morrisons Lack of products on shelves

I shop at your Bridlington branch on a weekly basis and have always had problems with lack of products on the shelves.
Today when I went there was no coffee to be had ( basic staple), no tonic water and very little pet food. It is a seaside town so it is even worse when we get the influx of visitors!
The shelves looked like they had been ransacked by monkeys, and if it was a one off I would not be complaining but this is happening on a regular basis.
So get your act together Morrison's and keep the shelves stocked!

Desired outcome: For my complaint to be acted upon.

Morrisons Food being sold past use by date.

I purchased a yoghurt yesterday (09/04/21), i opened it and realised it smelt quite strong&was very thick in consistency. I thought that because i am 30 weeks pregnant it might have been just because my sense of smell was heightened but when I tried it I realised it tasted strong and almost cheese like. I didn't think anything of it until i started to feel nauseous, checked the date and it turns out the use by date was up on the 07/04/21. I have provided picture images of the date on the yoghurt and the receipt to prove I purchased it earlier today.

Desired outcome: Compensation in some form.

Morrisons Poor store management and customer service

Tonight (7th April 2021) I went shopping with my 3 year old at the Morrison's at Alvis park, Coventry. It was a large shop, although many of the items that I specifically get from there were either no longer stocked or not on the shelves - but it was a little later than I would normally shop - so that wasn't unexpected. Having a lively 3 year old with me - I always go to a cashier-served till - I can then focus on packing the bags and looking after the little one. I got to the only cashier-served till just before 9pm (the store closes at 11pm) - only to be told that the till was closing & no other till was opening. So I had to queue for a self-serve till - which took a while because the couple in front of me had problems with the self-serve till continually having to be approved by the one and only attendant. Then my turn - it's difficult enough pricing an item, packing it and looking after a lively youngster - but I ended up with the same problem as the previous couple - every 2nd or 3rd item the till stopped for approval - from the single assistant who was running around dealing with other stoppages. After 5 or 6 of these stoppages, I'd still about 75% of my shopping left - so I just gave up and abandoned my shopping out of frustration. On leaving the shop, I stopped at the cigarette kiosk to ask about how I could complain. The lady said she'd get the manager. When he turned up, I explained my issue - but he cut me short to explain that he was 2 staff short. I tried to finish what I had been saying - only for him to cut me short again saying that I was rude to interrupt him! He then ‘explained' that he'd balanced the staff to best meet needs. Sadly, my needs had not been part of the balancing act. The manager was so arrogant and condescending that I left at that point. Perhaps I should have remained a little longer to find out why he could still have staff stacking the shelves whilst not manning at least one till, or why there was no staff on call (after all, we are in a pandemic where staff absences might be expected) or why, even, he couldn't man a till himself for a couple of hours. At no point did he ask how he could help me, the customer. So - last time I shop at Morrison's - I suspect that Tesco will be the main beneficiary.

Desired outcome: For the manager to go on a customer service course

Morrisons Delivery service

Hi there
I am writing this complaint because after placing a big order with yourself we seemed to have quite a number of problems with it. This is my second time ordering online and there has been multiple problems each time but I did not complain first time around.

First of all I noticed that several items from the order were missing. I phoned customer service straight away and he issued us a refund - I was not notified of these items being missing before hand. I like to meal plan our shopping for the following few weeks so this was impacted meaning I will need to either go physically get the things myself now (which I wanted to avoid doing during a pandemic) or pay a steep £6 (at least) for delivery again. The man who answered was friendly and efficient so I am not complaining about his service.

After the phone call I then realised that several of the items were not what I ordered and had been replaced with other items. I already realised this had been done with the Comfort which I wasn't very happy with but I had been emailed so had to accept that was what I was getting. However, I noticed that a ‘Mince Round' pie had been replaced with a ‘Steak Round' which wasn't mentioned in the email, the lilys ordered - which were in shocking condition and are going in the bin - weren't the orange ones which I ordered and were in fact the white ones.
Next, I realised some of fresh items went out of date that day which is ridiculous because the only delivery slot was between 9-10 in the evening so unlikely that items going out of date that day were going to be eaten.
I want to continue shopping with Morrisons online as I like the quality of the food but the service does not seem to be working very well for myself and my partner.
I feel as though a portion of the £120 odd pounds spent was wasted as items sent were missing, wrong, going out of date that day or damaged (the flowers).
Please advise and I look forward to hearing your response.
Kind regards
Josh and Jordan

Desired outcome: Partial refund or voucher to get food that was comprimised

Morrisons Baked In Store White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Purchased these in the Westbury, Wiltshire store. Opened the packet to find a bite taken out of one of the cookies. Not a great thing to find during a pandemic. I understand that some might try it on but this is 100% genuine. We had one upset toddler who was distraught as he couldn't have his favourite cookies.

Morrisons Negligence to maintain trolleys used by customers

I took my children shopping and placed my daughter (11month old) in the trolley. While shopping I realised her leg was trapped in the back of the seat of the trolley. I notified a member of staff to ask for help and I can not complain about how well the start all were to come and help. After pushing and pulling and trying to free her leg with no result I rang the fire brigade as my daughter was very distressed as were my 2 other children who were with me. Luckily a lady shopper came over to help and noticed that a part of the seat was snapped and this is how her ankle had managed to get through the small gap, the lady and a male member of staff then tried pushing and wiggling the broken seat to free her leg which they eventually did. The male member of staff was very helpful and friendly with my daughter trying to reassure her. He leg was swollen and bruised and she wouldn't allow us to touch it afterwards. Other members of staff were also very helpful afterwards and gave my son sweets while we seen to my daughter I can not fault the staff although, there seemed to be no first aider on the premises as I was only given a wet flannel and told to put it around my daughters leg and to get it checked at home. Even though the staff were very helpful afterwards I feel like this incident could have been avoided if the trolleys had been checked. It would have saved me and my family a very traumatic shopping experience.

Morrisons Misleading pricing

I visited the Maidstone store today and under the label" any two for £5 on the meat section I chose burgers and marinated pork loins but on returning home and looking at the bill I was charged full price for both items. I find this very misleading because all items in that section are clearly labelled under the aforesaid banner. I feel I have been overcharged by £1 and although it may seem paltry I feel that many times I see the wrong products under the offer labels and is substituted without moving the banners. You really have to have your wits about you and if you are in a hurry you may not notice and are charged for an item that you thought was on offer.
I am usually very satisfied with your products and am on the whole very satisfied to continue shopping at Morrison's but I find this complaint irritating. I am sure it is not intentional as I know how busy the store is but I feel it worth mentioning as it could have adverse effects.
I shall appreciate your reply

Desired outcome: Reimbursement
