no hot water
We rented a room for two nights. At the time of check in they didn't let us know that there was no hot water.Otherwise we would have stayed somewhere else. We went down for a bucket of ice and we were told in passing about having no hot water. Like it was normal. Is it not legal for a motel chain to do this? There were no coffee pots in the room. One little bar of soap. We got a room with a refrigerator and microwave. That's how we cleaned up. We put the ice bucket in the microwave and heated up the water that way. Motel 6 used to be very good. Then when i called and asked if there was hot water and i told her we didnt get told about it i was called a liar. I will never recommend motel 6 or ever stay in one again.

This place is dilapidated, disgusting, dirty, pool out of service, plumbing sucked, the building is leaning, the outside walls are falling apart and had areas that look rusted out, front lobby was stinky and sloppy. Now for the staff, woe, the front desk blond wig lady is super rude, the one after her with the cane was even worse... They acted like they hate white people... It was scary at night with prostitution and drug deals going on... We left as soon as sun came up... Will never stay at this awful location or any motel 6... Y'all need to close this place down!

On Thursday Aug 23 ... We got to our room and immediately noticed that the room was in used condition"tv on and blaring bed sheets rumpled hair in the bed and on pillow case personal hair products in bathroom and no lie a 2 inch cock roach in shower"... We called front desk we were given a second room .. The front desk told my bf that he was the second person they had given this room to and ended up moving bc room service neglected to clean it ... I was so discussed I work in housekeeping and there's just no excuses for a half [censored] clean room I really fell our stay should have been given a second nite stay or a credit ... I will never recommend any motel6 if you look at the review s on them as a nationwide business they have the highest number of customer complaints across the nation ... And I can tell you from experience first hand that the owners nor management care bcz half are independently owned so corporate has more to do than resolve issues they look the other way

Most of the staff was great! I don't normally give bad reviews, but I feel one is needed here. When I booked, I booked a non smoking room, so when I checked in, went to my room and the room smelled of someone smoking pot(it was fresh and strong), which I dont care if someone smokes it but not in a non-smoking room, (gives me instant headache and I tend to throw up and with my job, I can not take chances), so I explained and asked for a new room, the staff gave me a new room, (one person at the office was understanding, the others then acted like I was being a problem, the room ended up being a smoking room (which I was not told this ahead of time), it was awful, all my stuff had to be rewashed as the smoke penetrated everything still working on getting my luggage aired out) I kept the bathroom fan on all night trying to clear it out with no luck. The house keeping that was still being done at 7pm wasn't good at all, slow and not a great job cleaning the rooms. Around the bed were cigarette ashes and clumps of dirt, globs of stuff stuck to the bathroom floor (not sure what it was, gum, toothpaste?). I was traveling with others who had already booked a room here, which is the only reason I stayed here. however, I have stayed at other motel 6's which were not this bad at all. I will not stay at the Grants Pass Motel 6, and will not recommend it to others, I would rather spend more money to have a clean room. I'm so hoping the fire fighters who were staying there were treated better.
Not to forget that I spent about an hour having to kill flies, not just a couple but many.

Walls and doors are covered with black stains. Garbage cans are full off garbage. Desk draws are filld with empty pop bottles and potato chip bags. Remote control for TV was under the bed. Night stand covered in sticky substance. Phone coverd with black stains.

Our Baseball bowling league booked 6 rooms to stay at 4900 Circle 75 Parkway, Atlanta GA 30339on Saturday August 18, 2018 to attend the Atlanta Braves baseball game on Sunday August 19. Our league secretary (Trisha Chumley) booked the rooms through booking.com. She was the first to check in. We arrived about 15 minutes later and our reservation could not be found. We spoke to the desk clerk, the motel manager and then to someone at motel 6. After 2 hours and 10 minutes we found out that the reservation for the other 5 rooms was cancelled by the person registering her. I have never had a problem like this. While waiting in the lobby waiting to find out what was going on, at least 10 other people checking in came back to the desk because their key did not work.
After finally getting checked in, we went to our room to find it unacceptable including a leak in the ceiling with a puddle of water larger than a basketball. The bathroom had no overhead light, only a lamp on the counter. I am including pictures of the first and second rooms we we're assigned.
Also the person booking our rooms slipped and fell in water leaking from the ceiling. The staff siphoned water from the ceiling and drained it into the pool.
We took the elevator to the fourth floor and it went past the fourth floor and dropped back down. This also happened to another team from our league.
I hope that you will send someone to inspect this motel. It gives Motel 6 a very poor image.

Hi,
I booked a reservation for motel 6 through a 3rd party last night. Received my confirmation number & all. After driving 2 hours to get to Motel 6 I was greeted by a very rude receptionist telling me that I didn't book anything even after I showed him my confirmation number. He told me there's nothing he could do for me until the 3rd party sends confirmation. (Mind you it's like 1:45-2 in the morning at this point) after being on hold for 30 mins trying to get a rep from the 3rd party on the phone, they said they been sent a confirmation but they'll resend it again and also call motel 6 to see where the confusion is. After being on hold for another 15 mins the rep clicked back over to tell us "the receptionist was very rude and kept hanging up in my face. He kept saying he can't grant this reservation!" So at 2-3 in the morning after driving 2 hours and as a female I was left with nothing but having to figure it out on my own. I need a supervisor to contact me in regards to this incident at there earliest convenience.
dirty moldy room
I am from San Antonio. Passing threw Santa Rosa New Mexico. Everything went smoothly. However, the carpet in the room (127)was terribly strained, damp and moldy, smelled of urine. We were driving all day. So, we just put up with it. And left early. Did not want to go threw the trouble of changing rooms. That room stuffed up our noses and made our eyes red. I think I might contact the public health department on Monday. That was just unacceptable! To put a family in a room like that.

I'm currently staying at a Motel 6 and while my check in went smoothly nothing else really has. I got to my room 221 on Friday August 17th to find that the TV remote did not work except to turn on the TV to one single station!? I went to the front desk to speak to the manager who gave me new batteries and eventually when that didn't work a new remote which I put new batteries into. That did not work either. I tried to plug in my laptop to the light switches by the two lamps astride my bed. No electricity was flowing through those outlets and I would also find neither were the lamps on those same circuits.
Now I'm sorry but that is part of what I'm paying for here isn't it? I think a refund of some sort is in order don't you? Very poor service here and no one seems to care in the least bit.

Stayed at Motel 6 Destin Fl for 6 nights. The main door could be pushed open unless deadbolt was used. The shower wall was filthy with mold and filth. Night 2 roaches in the bathroom. Day 4 Roach was shook from clothes in clothes hamper. I will not be staying at the Motel 6 in Destin FL again. Was told by manager she would look into it.

The motel 6 on 2101 loveridge in pittsburgh ca... Is the worst the worst place... People are very noisy screaming all night... The rooms smell nothing is cleaned right... [censored]s and drug dealers here all night... Kids running around yelling... And nobody in the office seems to give a damn... I will be wanting a refund for my remaining days I will not stay here another night... I can't get no sleep!

I moved from Cincinnati Ohio, stayed at this location due to job was easy to get to. The manager was so rude, disrespectful, irate every time I went to make sure my room was taken care of. I payed and was consistent she told me I can only do 14 days. I said ok and I would check out and then check in two days later. She then stated I can not stay, I explained I checked out and I have not stayed for a complete 14 days. I pay online and then I go to get my key corrected and they automatically cancel and took my key and stated I can not stay at their hotel any longer. I have never in my life experienced such evil and unprofessional this chain of motel has treated me. I thought highly but never again. I will make sure I take this to the top at Motel 6!

Checked in July 23rd to our non-smoking room, when we opened the door strong smoke smell hit us! Upon staying in the room for 4 hours I realized there was also mold growing in the ac unit which was leaking on the floor and hairballs in my bed. My sons didn't even want to stay and this was their fishing trip. We left at 11pm and were told no refund for the 2 nights we had booked. I did however argue with T.J. on the phone and receive 1 night back. My son and I had to go to the doctor the day after returning home and we were diagnosed with bronchitis from smoke and mold exposure. We have incurred $200 in medical bills and $400 in lost income from being sick for 3 weeks and T.J. insists on keeping our $75 for the night we had to leave at 11pm because the room was making us sick! I called Motel 6 corporate office and was only told to deal with the owners, they don't care and I don't think your corporate office cares either. I bet you'll have to care when someone dies from staying in that toxic mold filled dump!
air conditioner
So I paid for another night this morning and early in the afternoon the air conditioner started leaking water. I went to turn it on to see if I could get it to work and F1 signal came on the screen and it won't turn on at all. I went downstairs and told one of the guys at the front desk that the air conditioner wasn't working and he was on the phone with somebody that told him they weren't going to be able to do anything about it today that I would have to wait until tomorrow for maintenance to come. It is the middle of August and 90 degrees outside and they told me to shove a towel under the air conditioner. They didn't offer me another room or even a discount and I've been here for over 2 weeks. I have an autistic son and I'm not happy at the fact that I have to sweat through a night for a room that I paid for that has no air conditioning
I am complaining about a most recent motel stay at this specific motel 6 (greenwood village)
I have been staying at this specific Motel 6, Greenwood Village Colorado on and off since [protected], this specific Motel 6 has had some recent staff changes, and it has been a nightmare, including an ongoing employee this Motel 6 has had on their staff for quite some time by the name of " Nikki" who has been very problematic, as well as resides at that specific motel with her boyfriend, I have found anything and everything in my motel rooms during my stays, like ticks, a brown recluse spider, dog hair, ( and I don't have a dog ) long black hairs in my room and in my bedsheets on a consistant basis ( I don't have long black hair ) personal property damage, room damage, ( not my doing, ) my tabby cat terrorized, and damage to my clothing items left in the room when I have been away at work for the day. My last stay at this specific Motel 6 was so horrible, I have asked management for a full refund, at this time, I would absolutely NOT recommend this specific Motel 6 to ANYONE.

I stayed in motel 6 room 111 in North Ogden, Utah 21 jul 2018. Was driving to Idaho and my back iched thought mighte be because it was Hot. I was bite by bed bugs and still has not gone away 16 aug 2018. Stayed in Idaho falls Motel 6 next 2 days hope I did not spreade bugs to that Motel 6. The same thing happened to me at this very motel in August 2017. I wrote directly to corporate, including a detailed narrative, a copy of my room receipt, photos of the bed bug bites on my body, a copy of my doctors office bill, and a copy of the receipt for cleaning all my clothes that may have been contaminated. Thankfully, Motel 6 reimbursed in fully me a few weeks later.

On August 4th -August 6th i rented a room from Motel6 in Bingminton NY. I am sorry to say it had bedbugs and ticks. All over the room in the bed an in the pillows of the room 257 second floor. I have rented from Motel 6 before in the past in Pennsylvania and it was clean an well organized. I must say that i am disturbed by the lack of sanitary conditions that the Motel holds. I have also held these dates two weeks prior the due date by paying online through my bank card for $123.54. When i downloaded the app i got a $55.92 dollars discount, which i am happy i got. What i am complaining about is the bedbugs and ticks that was in the room. I was bitten up an i am still healing from them. I had to take numerous antibiotics for my ears and allergy medicines for the swollen rashes. So i ask you, don't you think i should be refunded for the nights i stayed there? I am not going to show my bites on my skin because i am embarrassed by the scars it has left.

I was guest August 12th 2018. I paid for two nights. Checked in at 12:47 am. The first room had a non working toilet. I notified the front desk and they switched me rooms later that afternoon. I moved my belongings to the next room and turned the air on and left. CAme back 3 hours later and the room was still hot. I notified the front desk again and asked for some type of compensation back. The worker said to me that I couldn't be refunded anything due to being checked in for 3 hours and that I should've checked and made sure that everything was working before I left. Which I'm not understanding why I'm supposed to be the one to make sure that your hotel is up to par. I explained that that's not my responsibility and that I definitely wanted my money back for the horrible stay and horrendous customer service. Which was also displayed in front of the manager. Then I was told I could get a gift certificate for a free night. Why would I want a gift certificate to a hotel that I pod 2 nights for and had a broken toilet in the first room and and no air on a 96 degree day in the second room. I asked for the corporate number and then moments after was told that I would be refunded in 7-10 days.

My friend and I stayed in Room 162 for two nights. Registering was disturbing because after waiting in line, I was told that I needed the license of my roommate. That meant I had to go find my friend and then get in back of the line. There was no sign indicating that identification was necessary for all guests. That's an easy fix.
The room was unappealing due to the sparse furniture and extras. There was no coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave. In order to get extra shampoo or extra towels, it was necessary to walk to the office. The receptionist seemed to be indifferent to my comfort.
There were spots, probably from nail polish, on the floor. It was clear that the room had not been cleaned the first day. The floors definitely not been swept. Other than the refreshed towels, it was obvious that nothing else had been done.
I would like to receive a refund of $214.00 for our unpleasant stay. This room was reserved through Expedia.
It was a Motel 6 not the Ritz. They keep their prices down because they are fairly no frills and "sparse" as you say. There is nothing in their description indicating that they do provide any of the items you listed. (Coffee maker, fridge) So I don't understand why you are complaining about something that was never included to begin with.

We stayed at Motel 6 in Regina Aug.13, 2018 .Had a shower upon checking in and there was only cold water. Complain to front desk and he was going to increase the temperature of the hot water. Came to have a shower in the morning on Aug14 and again cold water. Complain to front desk. Will never stay at a motel 6 again. Outside door doesn't close properly.
