We are staying at Motel 6 in El Monte, CA. Sunday August 12, 2018 morning we left our room around 8am. Some of our suitcase was on the beds while one was on the floor. We went out all day and came back home around 11:30pm. We noticed that housekeeping came through. One of my sister noticed her blue backpack is missing. We checked everywhere in the room and it was not there. We double checked our rental car even though we know we did not take it with us. Everyone started checking their stuff to make sure it's not missing. The other sister who left her Canon - EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Telephoto Zoom Lens in her suitcase with one of her clothing wrapped around it is gone. We called the front desk to tell them what happened. She said she is not the manager and cannot help us with the issues. We asked for some bath towels because housekeeping didn't put any new ones in the room. She told us she cannot bring it to us due to being the only worker that night. We went down to the office the next morning August 14, 2018 around 9:30 am. We talked to the supervisor who was on duty that morning. Her replied to us is that she trust her housekeeping and back them up 100% that they did not take out stuffs. She just apologized and said she is so sorry. She did not try to resolve anything beside saying that it cannot be her housekeepers. She later said she will call her GM and asked him/her what she/he will do to compensate us because I asked. I waited all day and did not received any phone call. I called the front office around 2:30pm and told her that the sister who got her camera lenses stolen is leaving around 4pm and would like to see what the GM had said. The same person who we talked to earlier said she cannot get a hold of the GM at all and apologized. I asked how can she not get a hold of the GM at all. She put me on hold and a guy came on the line. When I said, "hello" the phone line just went silent. I then hanged up and called the office again. No one picked up. I called back three time and no one picked up the line. I am super mad and disappointed in Motel 6 for ignoring my situation. I would like an answer to how did this happened and why Motel 6 ignoring this issues. This location have the worst customer service ever!

We went to check in and use the shuttle that was advertised to save parking Was told there was no shu. Show up to check in and use the shuttle serve that is advertised and was told no shuttle. Since we had paid on line we decided to go ahead and stay. After a long day we came back to check in and was told we would be in the far back. When we went to park there was trash, children, and adults screaming shouting bad language and trash bags full of trash laying all around. When we opened the door of the room we were hit with a Stell Oder of smoke the room was not queen beds and the refrig did not work. There was a whitepitbull dog growling at people. When we were checking in we had to wait while the person was doing another transaction to buy another property I hope this group is address to cleanup their properties. We were afraid to sleep afraid our truck would be torn up while we slept.

My girlfriend and I stayed here on our way up to Canada. We walked into the room and noticed that it was disgusting. Especially the sheets. They weren't just stained, there was fresh dirt on them. We were so tired we just fell asleep immediately. Big mistake. Woke up to find bed bugs. A picture of one of them is attached. A few bites emerged on each of our bodies over the next few days. We should have asked for a different room or left altogether when we noticed how gross it was. We were just so tired it didn't really set in until morning. You'd really be screwing yourself by staying here.
overall poor service and horrible corporate handling
Made reservations at the Motel 6 on 8285 PHILLIPS HIGHWAY, Jacksonville, FL, 32256. From August 6-10. Arrived and went to my room. Non-smoking room was definitely smoked in. Room seemed rather unclean. Queen sized bed had both box spring and bed frame broken. Bed was half on floor half on frame. Went to front desk and they gave me another room. Room was no better. Smelly, musty, the bathroom shower was dirty beyond belief, and the toilet seat was covered in children's decals and not even connected to the toilet. Had to call maintenance to replace it. First night went relatively well but things got even worse after that. Woke up on Tuesday morning covered in bed bug bites (see attached photos and video). Could not get in touch with either corporate customer service or the motel's manager until after 9 AM (had to be at work by 6 AM). Spoke to customer service first and received a case number (#1401324). Have not heard from anyone since. No phone call, no emails, nothing. I wasn't satisfied with the phone call to corporate, so decided to get in touch with the motel manager. She seemed genuinely upset about what I told her. She offered me a full refund and a change of rooms. I told her that at that point I no longer had confidence in the cleanliness of any of the rooms in the motel and then suggested they put me up at a different hotel at their expense. She told me they couldn't do that but that she would personally check the next room to guarantee it's cleanliness. Since it would take 3 to 5 business days to get back my money and I had no other means, I agreed to her terms. When I got in from work, the manager did not even have the decency to be there and the person at the front desk had to call her because she had no idea what was going on. I check into my room, if the manager checked the room personally, she did a horrible job of it as the room once again was smelly and musty and not all together very clean. The bed, thankfully was bug free but the sheets had stray hairs from whoever laid there last (I'm assuming). The last thing I have to complain about was in my four days there, my rooms were never touched by housekeeping. Each was left exactly as it was when I left for work each morning. I received my refund on Saturday the 11th. Now all I have for this experience are bad memories and a body covered in bug bites (keep in mind that the photos taken are of the bites I could actually get the camera on.

Just today itself, they violated my rights. The housekeeper came beating on my door asking me if I wanted housekeeping and I told him to come back in an hour and I would be out. I just got back around 11:25pm and my door was open in an outside concept area where anybody could introduce himself in. They did not change a thing or clean anything. The door was just left open. I want a refund.

Which I put a request for with your 1800 line and I also talked to her and she said she would call me if she had any update in the morning which she did not do because according to her she did not have time for that and on my side since I confirmed it with your customer service representative and they sent the request so I just did not see why I should pack up. Nobody in the management gave me a call saying to do so (I over slept). She came to the room wanting to beat me up calling me names and saying I was being ignorant. She also stated that that was how she would always be and do things, she could not change her way of talking to me and that I should leave even if I paid, for no reason. That they give better prices at their motel always referring to the fact that I wanted to leave the first week I came here and go to their competitors. I never replied badly or disrespected her but she is always on my back discriminating on me and rallying her employees that are either disrespectful or do not want to give any services. She put a do not rent on my account charging me 212 dollars for nothing when I paid my bills and just wanted me to see her during her hours of operations. Since I came here she has always been disrespectful to me with no manners. Once, one of her housekeepers made me wait more than 5hours to clean my room. She came in at 9am, started with my room then went back and forth rooms to rooms cleaning them up and refused to finish mine so I could go back to bed. When I complained to the general manager, he came with his maintenance manager and told me not to ask anything to his employees and that I should call his front desk what I did . I went there in person but he found issues with me complaining about the way I was being treated.
This week, they are telling me that they are fully booked when I told them I just got here to the United states and that I needed to stay for a long time. I can not worry about relocation or bad services all the time. They are giving me headache, I want all my money back for bad service, assault, bullying and discrimination from June 15th to August 11th about $3700. Please let me know the status of this complaint ASAP.

Motel 6 in Newport Oregon.
Very filthy rooms. Refrigerator had 2 1/2 inches of ice stuck to freezer which was changed out by management and it was exactly the same problem. It would not keep the refrigerator items cold because they both required defrosting. I was told it was motel 6 policy not to provide Kleenex when there was a built in holder in the bathroom vanity for them. Was additionally told shampoo, conditioner, lotion and hairdryers, coffee machines and coffee are not provided due to motel 6 policy. I've stayed at many Motel 6's across the country and this was the only one that did not provide these items.
I will make sure everyone I know never stays in the motel 6 in Newport Oregon and they will know why.

smoke free room is clearly not smoke free, upstairs room when promised downstairs, police coming to my door
I asked for a smoke free room and this one is clearly not by the smell of stale smoke. The bathroom has a bad smell like feces and stale smoke, particularly in the shower curtain. I also asked for a downstairs room as I have trouble with stairs and was told that she would leave a note for the person who came to replace her and I waited in the parking lot for over 3 and a half hours, only to find that there were no downstairs rooms available. I've been here for over a week and about a half hour ago a police officer knocked on my door saying that someone named Javier in my room number said he was going to shoot up the Motel 6. I've paid for the night already and I don't want anyone to contact here until I'm gone, please! I don't know what else to say except it stinks in here badly and I have two cats with me and all their stuff so changing rooms was not an option. Thank you.

I booked a room for August 8 to the 11 th and used my card to hold it. The lady that made my reservation put it down for September and quoted me a price and I agreed to it. When I noticed a week later the reservation said September and not August I called back and told them they put it in for the wrong month. The lady said they made a mistake however it would cost me $50 dollars more. I said that was your mistake then she agreed then she told me she would give me a 10% discount so it made it $270.00 dollars so I didn't want to argue so I said ok. The day we was leaving we got a call from the hotel saying the room would be ready and it was a handicap room on the bottom floor that we requested because my girlfriend is handicapped and couldn't do steps and we asked for a smoking room and they said ok. When I arrived I waited an hour to check in because the front desk was very slow then I was told the room wasn't cleaned and it wasn't smoking. Then they told me the only smoking room was on the second floor in the back of the hotel and I really didn't want to carry stuff up the steps and we have two small dogs with us that need to go out and my girlfriend couldn't do steps. The ac didn't work right there was no water pressure so then the front desk asked me if I wanted a room on the first floor that was non smoking that they just got cleaned so I said yes and she said we could smoke outside so I took it. No sooner that evening when I went out to smoke a prostitute approached me asking me if I worked here and when I said no she asked me if I knew anyone that had cocaine. I said hell no. The next day Valerie the manager seen my girlfriend smoking out in front of the room with the door shut and told her she couldn't smoke there and had to walk down to the breezeway and no one had told us that prior. Then I asked her why didn't they give me a smoking room and she said I should have waited and then told me she could fine me $250.00 dollars for smoking outside in front of the room. This is the worst place I have ever stayed my 52 years of being alive. How can you do business that way. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. This is rediculous and you won't see me again I promise. Hope you can get this mess cleaned up and get the right customer service in here before it gets worse if that's possible. Sorry but I am not happy at all with this service this was suppose to be a vacation and motel 6 made it into a nightmare. Have a great day since you ruined mine. Thanks. NOT

First Was given a room that wasn't cleaned at all. Then got a room that actually had the bed made but the room was filthy. There were human hairs all over the bed and on the shower wall. There was an old chicken bone on the floor. The hallway looked like it hadn't been cleaned or vacuumed in a long time. Saw what looked like a roach crawling on the floor as well. I travel for a living and this was the dirtiest motel I have ever been to.

After my very pleasant stay at the Motel 6 in Twin Falls, Idaho on August 5 (checkout August 6) I was shocked by the room I arrived at the night of August 6. It was late and I was so tired I went to bed, in spite of the conditions because the effort to walk out and go to another motel was just too much after 16+ hours driving. I obviously cannot count on a decent room just because it is a Motel 6, so I will NOT be reserving a room in advance again. I need the freedom to walk out on conditions like this.

My family and I recently relocated to Georgia for work. We needed a place to stay until our house was ready. Upon arrival the lobby was AWESOME! Beautiful the staff was so friendly. We booked a room for a week and the rate was decent. Once we left the lobby and headed to our room the tables quickly turned. The only working elevator was the one by the lobby. None of the other elevators worked, we asked for a room with a microwave and fridge and we were given one that didn't have that. We had to be moved. Then there were roaches everywhere! The sheets were disgusting! And so were the towels! We were refunded our money which was great. However this is insane! How is this place still in business?!

I was aguest at the Motel 6 in Palm Desert on 7/30/18 - 8/1/18. The first night tgere were cockroaches on the floor near the bed by the window. I reported this to management on 7/31/18 whn i was paying for my next night. Sometime on the night of the 31st I was woken up by something bighting me. I checked the bed and I didnt see anything. When I woke up in the morning I had bedbug bites on my face, my right lower torso and a huge knot on my left leg, and bites in my private areas. These bites were big, hard, and swollen. I packed up my things and went to the desk clerk on duty and showed her the bites. She took some pictures and sald she would let the manager know.. It is now 5 days later and i still havent heard from them.

I checked my daughter into the hotel getting her out of a domestic situation and the first room had cigarette butts and dust all over under the AC unit, mentioned it to staff and they said they would let house keeping know! Well that room was the first few days so then I had to keep her there a bit longer paid cash for the week and we got a different room, this room again was DIRTY and DUSTY and the floor was not mopped! The other issue is that there was a plastic thing hanging from the ceiling with a bunch of wires wrapped around it(I think it was cords for the phone, it was not hooked up and yes we have pictures!) She mentioned it once again to the office and the guy in the office and the maintenance guy said " they should not have rented out that room, that is a Hazzard" They never offered to change rooms or anything! This motel has prostitution there(yes we saw it happening) and they allow the homeless to just hang out all over the property and they don't care. The day I had enough and checked her out we asked to speak to the manager and they said she would call us at 9 that morning! The manager never called so my daughter called there and they had the nerve to tell her that the wires that were balled up were the cats fault! I emailed the manager and never got a response, reached out to corporate and got nothing and filed a BBB and never got a response! I am so tired of not getting my calls and emails returned and the poor customer service and nasty dirt hotel rooms

Motel 6 (Williamsburg) is the worst!
Checked into the room and the shower was dirty. We asked to have it cleaned and the lady at the front said that housekeeping wasnt available. She asked if we'd like to change rooms and took us to another room. She opened the door and the first thing I noticed were several baby roaches on the counter. I brought this to her attention and asked to see yet another room. She responded by saying that there were no other rooms and that we can "have a refund and checkout". We asked if a discount might be in order since the shower was dirty. She, once again, said, "I'll give you full refund and you check out!"
When asked for her manager's name, she stated that she was the manager. We then inquired about the owner, and she stated that she was also the owner. We informed her that we would be taking the matter up through the proper channels (Better Business Bureau, )etc.
We asked for her name and she stated, "I don't want to give it to you"! She also said that whoever we told would know the date and could tell who was working.
Prior to us leaving, she issued my refund. She said that it would take 5-6 business days.
The lady that refused to give her name was a middle aged, Indian woman.

On July 22 I decided to stop unplanned after a long drive. I stopped at a Motel 6 because I have always had a great experience in the past. When I walked in the door the gentleman at the desk seemed put out that someone was walking in the door. When I asked for a room he reluctantly stood up and went to his computer and game me a price. When I asked if he could match the price I found online he became belittling. He said that the online price was for one person and this price was for two. When I showed his he said that the price did not include taxes and fees. I again showed him that it did ( I had tried to book on my phone but there had not been enough data in the area for me to do so). The entire time we were having this conversation he had a deprecating smile on his face. I took the room stating that I had been driving for a long time and was going to go straight to sleep as I was needed a nap. I then went to the room and attempted to sleep. Within less than a half an hour there was a knock on my door to deliver towels. I was so frustrated that I left shortly thereafter. I left within 2 hours of checking in.

And the room they originally put me in had a bad ac unit. So I was moved to another room. A so called friend of mine was staying in my room also because she didn't have anywhere to go. Long story short, this past week has been so hectic for me that I wasn't in the room hardly at all, due to my mom going to hospital, my boyfriend having car trouble, my dog was stolen, the list goes on and on. Well, while I was away, I have no idea what happened, but when I returned the people in the office said if we didn't get off the property the police would be called!? Why!? I did nothing wrong. They won't give me my belongings back, and they refunded my money to someone other then me! Thats not right! I'm going to consult my lawyer and see if any legal action needs to be taken.in the meantime, I can be reached at [protected]. Or by this email address. I'm also contacting corporate as well. I feel very strongly that I was mistreated and don't deserve it.

Not only did i call this location numerous times back to back to reserve a 7 day stay to be hung up on at least 6 times before someone actually picked up the phone. In person the staff was absolutely rude beyond words. I later find out there are no vending machines. Ice machine was broke. I'm in AZ mind you but the room they showed me was missing the microwave completely. I was absolutely shocked and needless to say you lost my 7 day booking. I have stayed with Motel 6 many many times. I was really let down. Something has to be done to fix this. I ended up having to spend more money because of personality and conditions of this location.

We arrived Friday (July 27, 2018) to check into a the hotel. We asked for a room for 2 nights. Saturday night around 3 in the morning, we came back to the hotel after a concert and found our key card not working and all our stuff was still in the room that morning. We went to the front desk and was told that they had gave our room to someone else due to the fact that we only paid for one night. For one night costs us $200.84 for a smoke room with a single queen bed for 2 guest. The bed was sticky and looked as if someone had already laid in it. The bathroom toilet seat was broken. The shower had left over dirt and residue in it. Towels were folded sloppy. Internet did not work. Same price for a hotel room at extended stay with 2 beds, a kitchen, WiFi and all that works and was super clean.

I have had my daughters cat for 13 years and he has never been outside. But my first night in your establishment on j clyde morris blvd in newport News Virginia the cleaning staff let him out of my room and instead if informing me they tried to play it off as they did not enter my room. My daughter is sixteen and has had this cat since it was born she is totally a wreck and your staff at this location wants to act like its an every day occurrence that they mistakenly let animals wonder out of their facility. I have already contacted my corporate lawyer about the whole situation and the stress it has caused my family. I can also guarantee my corporation will not use motel 6 for their lodging from this moment on. Not only is your staff here rude but they have no concern about anything that goes on in your establishment. Hell i checked in last night and the first thing that was noticed was giant holes in the bathroom door the mini fridge half works and the room stunk. Then my cat turns up missing and nobody here cares in the least when my daughter hasnt stopped crying in 2 hours and the lady in the office was rude and thought it was kinda funny
