online store order
I’ve given ample warning using the proper channels and feel that I now need to give feedback online. I’m passionate when it comes to online shopping, processes and service. Mr Price home has in my opinion failed to deliver a good service. It's now been 3 WEEKS since placing my order and I still have not received my order that should have arrived in 1-3 DAYS. I’m based in London UK so this makes knowing what is happening locally considerably harder.
Store Delivery 1-3 days:
I ordered this using this paid option still no delivery we are now 3 weeks in.
The store delivered in question:
My sister who lives locally informed me (one day after placing the order) that the store in question was damaged by the recent storms and has been closed. I was still able to select this store when ordering.
Helpdesk feedback and general support:
One day after placing the order I logged a support request asking if the store closure would be a problem. I was greeted with a reply that all is in order.
I had various other contacts with helpdesk to attempt to change one item feedback was received but no actual solutions. Calls were marked as resolved with no feedback. Twice I gave dissatisfied feedback with reasons why. I received no feedback that show
Last week almost 3 weeks after placing the order I called the only international number I could find, explained everything in detail and things then started moving I received a measly R35 as a voucher due to late fees. My mother went to the Strand store to collect but they had no idea of the delivery.
3 weeks in I’m sitting with an apartment in South Africa on show with more than R2000’s worth of in home stuff not on display thanks to Mr Price Home Online.
I’m reaching out to any Manager of the online process to please make sure this does not happen to any other customers. The only way we will get South Africa on par with other countries will be to ensure that our online stores are delivering items on time (as promised) and ensuring that process’ are in place to deal with store closures and customers support requests.
I can only hope that this matter will resolved and I’ll receive this order soon, and hope that others do not experience that same disappointing service as I have.
appalling service
I go to your store in Argyle Road this afternoon to buy a simple 3 tier shelf. There is a label that annotates the price and an assembled price. I ask for this shelf to be assembled and i am told by one associate that they do not assemble on a weekend. I ask for a manager who says they do but i will have to comeback the following day because the rules have changed now. I ask is there signage or something that notifies customers of the change? No! This is the rule at this store. I then asked for the store manager as i had items assembled at both Hillcrest and Pavilion on the weekend as soon as i paid for the item. The store manager was quiet rude; clearly lacks etiquette when dealing with customers and starts to argue the point. I said in all this time of going back and forth; this unit could have been assembled. He then goes back to the group of sales associates has a discussion and leaves the salesfloor. Another associate then begins to assemble the unit while deliberately taking his time. This is absolutely the last time i will ever purchase from Mr Price Home ever again.

I went shopping at the Mr Price in Durban at the corner of field and West street, and I was totally appauled whilst leaving the store as the guard required to check our bags, which I didn't mind at all, but then she literally dug threw my bag with her hands and turned everything upside down and continued digging, she practically opened every zip and cosmetic bag that I had, I also had a purchase from woollies that was sealed she actually took out of my bag to check and check the contents, once she was done, I was closing my bag then she literally body searched me from my breast down, between my legs and actually touched my private part which was totally unethical and a violation of my privacy .she did not even ask me or tell what she was going to do, she just started searching me at the door in front of everyone .
I was disgusted by the way I was treated, that was totally unethical and I even told her she can't just touch me like that she just wasn't bothered, not even responding to me and she continued to do the same thing to the other customers leaving the store .
This is totally unexceptable, we are customers we cannot be treated in this manner . I felt totally violated and assaulted and no person can touch my body especially without my permission with no good reason and worst of all her attitude was terrible not even responding to me or even giving me eye contact as If I had no choice in the matter.
Is this how Mr Price treats their customers, I'm very disappointed and this matter needs to addressed As a matter of urgency, as I will not except being treated in this manner.

scam/no customer service/unethical
I would like to point out that this company never sends invoices. And they deduct debit orders off on random days. The contract amount was suppose to be R99. They have been deducting close to R7000.00! I have been querying the amounts since Feb 2017, and they let me know today that they cannot give me the data validation as it is only available on their system for 90 days. Please note that if they responded to my query when I initially put in the dispute, they would have been able to send it to me.Now I have been classified as a "bad payer", and I don't think this is very fair as I have been trying to resolve this for quite some time. If I can get some resolve I will gladly settle any amounts outstanding, I just however don't feel I owe these amounts.
horrible service regarding sim card
A lady called me and told me that MRP will give me a sim card for free. I asked her several times if I have to pay for anything or if there is a monthly fee and she said no. The sim was delivered to me and on the delivery form it was showing a list of fees that I was not told about. I did not sign the form or take the sim card. I got my statement from MRP and it's showing that there is a cancellation fee for this sim card of R100? I was not told about this cancellation fee or the fees listed on the delivery form. The lady also told me that if I do not want to recharge the sim card and not use it, that there will be no extra fees, that this is just a sim card they are giving me because I am a Mr Price client.

MRP mobile after sale service
I entered into a cellphone contract with mrp mobile. The device i received had problems the first week I used it. I phoned to have the device replaced but I was told that it can't be replaced without it being assessed. I accepted the explanation and requested a loan unit as I am unable to sustain my work ethic without a cellular device. I requested a senior member to contact me as soon as possible. No one phoned me back. I phoned again because a courier company contacted me to collect my telephone. Again I was told the same story. I am utterly disgusted with the way my situation was handled. Where are my rights as a consumer? The phone has serious software problems but I am being told to go without a device for three to four weeks. Why was all this not explained in the sales pitch. Where are the promises of excellent service your company will provide?
I entered into a contract more than 4 years ago. Never used the phone. It was faulty from the onset. It was never replaced, even though I requested this YEARS AGO. Terrible, pathetic service. I have written emails and called, all with no response. I have paid the debit orders for an excess of 2 years now; they refuse to let up on the debit orders, even though the initial contract, for which I have received absolutely ZERO SERVICE up to date, lapsed more than 2 years ago. They have stolen enough from me, I just need this issue resolved and the payments to STOP.
I had a debit order with MRP MOBILE..however for 2 months now I do not have service. The call center is pathetic. When you try to submit a complaint, your call gets dropped. I will never recommend MRP mobile to any of friends.

I went to go buy a pair of brown ankle boots around 17h00 using my card. Got to the que and the lady shouted "next" as usual. When I approached the till, she just told me to wait aside with no explaination and ordered the next person to come. 10min later a lady came taking her time for that matter, to assist me. No greeting was done and no explaination given for waiting. This system really sucks and there is no proper customer service there.. It is really disgusting and will loose customers. I for 1, would rather travel to festival mall which is 30min away than go to this 1 which is 10min away. Get to the bottom of this right away or i'm taking this to hellopeter.com
mr price home - lack of service
I live in Port Elizabeth, I went shopping in Mr Price Home in Walmer. I found a throw that happened to be on sale that I love and is exactly what I'm looking for, but they only have 1 and I need 5!
The lady that assisted me was very helpful in searching to see where there is stock so I could get it, but because it's on sale they can not transfer between stores.
We located 12 units in Somerset West, Cape Town. I made contact with the store and they said they can only keep them for 2 days as its on sale. I
have a friend there that I asked to collect it, however she was unable to do to the storms and then she had to leave to help family in Knysna, so she was unable to collect them for me.
I then contacted Mr Price Customer service on 7th June. I requested a call back. They called me back, I started explaining the situations and she put me on hold, I was on that call and on hold for a total of 9mins 43 seconds and I just put down the phone. How long do they expect me to hold for? They never called me back!
I then went back to the Walmer store and asked for the area or regional managers number - I was given the number of a lady by the name of Maria [protected]) I called her on Friday 3 times and left a message, I called her again yesterday, Tuesday 13th June and left another message for her to return my call and still I have received no call back from her!
DISGUSTING Service from the so called "Customer Service " and worse from one of your senior management- what a joke!
All I wanted is some one to assist me as to how I would go about getting the other throws that I am desperately needing!

store opening late
Mr Price Claremont has been moved from their old premises in Dreyer Street to Cavendish. You would swear that with the new premises the store would open up on time, but still when the clock strikes 9:00 am their doors are still closed. Nine o' clock is nine o' clock not a minute past etc. The security's either sitting and read or eating WTF. The only shop that opens at 9:00 am sharp is the home section of Mr Price. I asked the home securtiy if I could go in, she said yes and Mr Price staff is still having meetings and whatnot at 9:05 am while customers are queing and waiting for the doors to open. This is not the first time that I am complaining about this store who can't open on time. You SUCK!

Complaining about bad service I got at MrPrice Ficksburg free state on saturday 10 June 2017, I wanted to purchase a jean which was priced R100 so when I got to the till it was R179.99 and I showed them the price, I got a very rude response from the cashier that I must pay R179, 99 I must watch the screen not the price tag ...Personally confronted the Store Manager ( Kele Kwatala) who also gave me attitude .Please Help! Is it the kind of treatment customers must get ?what happen to the price you see, is the price yoi pay?

bedding :bad quality - burning like sandpaper
I purchased 5 items from Sheet street ( part of Mr Price, in August ( between 16 and 20th at Sunvalley mall, Cape Town ).I purchased 2 x double and 2 x single, all with pillows and a large comforter all with the same fabric. I have washed them about 3 times and then just packed them away as they are too uncomfortable to sleep on or under due to the burring. The burring is like heavy duty sandpaper .
This quality material is inferior and should not be used for bedding at all. This is a BAD reflection on the quality of your products . I have photos of the burring and all the product lables . I want my money back and for them to withdraw this sort of quality from their production line .
I cannot use them at all .
Customer services have told me its too late to refund me. No acknowledgement of inferior quality or explanation or advice on how to "deburr it"

Good day in 2012 I was smashed and grabbed while returning home from work seeing as they stole my whole wallet I went to the police station and opened a case ...the avidavid I then took to Mr price to pay and close my account..now in 2017 I applied for a bond but was denied due to a unpaid amount of 2500 purchased on my Mr price account in 2013 which I was not aware of at all..going back to Mr price they could not find my details anywhere on the system and said that I need to contact the Mr price legal department as I did they to had no information and noting was on the systems ..I need to have it removed off my name please what can I do as my life cannot move forward because of this black spot on my credit score..

I was contacted last week by one of the call center agents ([protected]) - not sure of the name - claiming to be from Mr Price Head Office. He was offering me a protection plan on my account which i did not wish to take at the moment and said i would go into the store if/when i wanted to take one. After him explaining and me still objecting he sounded very irritated and rude with the fact that i weren't taking it, as he said and i quote "hope its not too late" and put the phone down, which i felt was uncalled for. I'm a card holder/customer of Mr Price for many years now and after that call i was very uneasy about my account and felt like closing it feeling rather threatened considering the amount of fraud(inside) taking place. I would appreciate it if the matter would be addressed. Thanks

I make use of online shopping every day as i am a busy professional. I ordered from Mr. Price and only after the third business day i recieved an email stating that they are out of stock on an item I ordered. I had then already paid my order and was awaiting delivery. No phone call just an email that says "we refund you for the item we dont have in stock". I mean really this is totally their fault and should have rectified it by making up for it by giving me a discount on my next order or an additional voucher. I am upset with their service. I loged a call back as they were closed and couldn't answer my phone call. I waited 6 hours and did not recieve anything. I xalled them back later and no answer i was placed on hold for 30 mins. I then went to their "chat" page where you can text consultants. There i just got a text that said they will call me back. My order arrived. No voucher attached no letter nothing on of the clothing items was sealed in a packaged wrapper. The other clothing item not packaged. I am never making use of their service again. Totally disappointing! "

We were at the 165 jhb market strt location and the service was appalling. First we asked the lady working upstairs for mens vests and not only did she not make eye contact but she rudely pointed at them with her finger. That however was nothing compared to the service we received from the cashier named Sarah. Not only did she not greet, she made no eye contact her presence was so unwelcoming we felt very uncomfortable almost scared. She did not bother to tell us the total price we had to look down at the till screen ourselves and then continued on to say "next customer " as if we were bothering her. Her service was too atrocious to ignore. We kindly ask for something to be done about this as we are never going back to that location or any Mr price outlets if this is how customers are treated.

I placed an online order on the 5th May 2017 for 2 statement bags, the order was for mothers day gifts.
On the 10th May 2017 I received and email my goods are now with the couriers and the parcel will be delivered soon. On the 11th May 2017 I called the customer service line and I spoke Nonthando and she said it will be delivered by Friday the 12th. I told her to please sort it out as I needed it for mothers day, I asked if I could speak to the manager she directed my call to a lady called Perusha. She asked me if she could find out if the store closest to my house has stock for me I told her ok check canal walk. She said she will call me back after 2 and up until today,
15 May 2017 I am still waiting on my call and I still don't have the bags I ordered.Then came mothers day and I stood like a total fool with no gifts (having ordered them Friday already). I find this totally unacceptable and the lowest point of poor service . I then called the customer service centre again 15/5/17 and had to re-explain the whole story and asked to speak to PERUSHA and said she was on a call again and that she'd return my call. Yet i was asked "do you not need the bags anymore?"Clearly my complaints/enquiries haven't been noted I had to give my details for the 3rd time and it's been 3 hours and still no call from anybody
This will be the umpteenth time that il call in from my cell phone and seems my bill will go higher than the price of these bags SOMEBODY PLEASE DO SOMETHING

Mr price mall of africa, what a bad treatment i got from them. Me and my partner were shouted at for entering the change room for not knowing it was closed. The lady was sweeping inside the change room but shouted at us for entering. The so called manager came but didnt even do anything about it or even apologise. They dont even have name tags on to show that they treat customers badly and they will get away with it. Im very disappointed because this is not the first time. The last time they followed me like a thief for taking water, thinking i was gona pay when i pay for my clothes and they made me pay before and told me i must pay for the water first. What a nonsense stuff and uninformed workers you have there and the manager takes the cup. Thank you, hopefully i will get proper feedback.

I ordered online and choose to collect from the Northgate store. I received notification that the parcel was shipped on 28 April. By 6 May I was bored with waiting and went to Northgate to investigate. The teller and manager could not have been less interested, both said they were unable to assist and refused to look in the collections cupboard. The cupboard is directly behind them! They could not have cared less. Why do they not contact the call centre on the client’s behalf? Clearly assisting the public is not part of their job. I then spent 15 minutes on my cell phone to the call centre and was told my parcel was shipped and they knew nothing else. By now I had lost all patience and requested a refund. Half an hour later the call centre phoned back and said my parcel was at the Northgate store and had been for ages and why did I not ask them to check the cupboard? I then had a complete ‘meltdown’ and said please just refund me. Since then the parcel has been marked as collected - by whom? I can only imagine Casper the ghost collected it? Skip ahead another week and I have sent dozens of emails requesting my refund be processed and have not received a single reply. This was an online sale...surely my credit card can be refunded online? I refuse to go back to Northgate. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
