In the morning weekdays, I wait for the Q54 bus at Fresh Pond Rd and Metropolitan Ave to catch the L train into Manhattan. 4-5 "Not In Service" buses will pass before the Q54 shows up. These buses are driving down the same route on Metropolitan Ave. After work, I get off the L train at Grand Ave and Bushwick Ave to catch the Q54 bus to go home from work. Again, 4-5 "Not In Service" buses pass before a Q54 shows up. Everyone waits sometimes 35 minutes for a Q54 bus that is in service. Why are these "Not In Service" buses passing all these stops if they have to drive down the same route anyways. Waiting 35 minutes for any bus is ridiculous. This needs to get fixed.
I take the same route as well and noticed the same problem. So many ghost buses pass before a in service q54 does. Not to mention the light on Grand and bushwick Ave is super slow and you can see how it builds traffic. Q54 is the worst. Sadly it's been this way for years.
I wait for the Q54 on Jamaica ave 165th st same problem but usually the wait is somewhere between 25 min to an hour. The transit apps gives you an estimated time and still no bus shows. I don’t see the point in posting a schedule of the drivers can’t follow it.
I waited one hour for the bus to show up. About 5 buses passed out of service. It’s ridiculous to wait one hour for NYC bus which supposed run every 15 minutes or less. Bad service MTA.
Had a bad experience early in the morning bus Q54 7812 driver he was insulting, and he misbehaved it was my first time taking a ride to Jamaica, and I got a ticket from the boot which does not suppose to, but he could explain it politely he was rude I think MTA should train their employees how to treat or talk to a passenger without being rude We are not here to take there insult every morning to work
