unauthorized removal of funds from my bank account
Mylife.com has got into my bank account and took money out.I have never paid money to mylife.com, and I do not have any agreement with mylife.com.I never authorized mylife.com to get into my account. about a year ago I used my debit card to searcj for an old friend on Reunion.com, but it was a 1 time thing..not sure how long ago, Reunion.com was taken over or changed to mylife.com...I have never used mylife.com.I have never continued aanything into any agreement with mylife.com and they ahve never been authoriized to take money out of my bank account. I used my debit card 1 tiem about a year ago to search for soemone and mylife.com has taken it apon them selves to use my bank card number to steal money from my account.I called the number it says to call a few times and get an ansering message and no one answers even though I call theough the time frame they say soemone will be there.I am mad about this and something needs to be done. This is very dishonest and fraudulant. Thery need to refund money they have taken from me..I mean like right now!
charged $119.40 for free trial
While internet surfing one day, I tried a bunch of "free" trials. One of them was mylife.com. I'm on unemployment, and am trying to survive on $266.00 bi-weekly, and in NO POSSIBLE WAY would I be stupid enough to sign up for that much money. I thought I had cancelled online right away, but their scam is you must "phone" them. The offer was on the internet - why would one have to "phone" them to cancel their "free trial"? They did agree to refund most of my money - $77 after the first call - and then after getting more irate, I called again and they agreed to refund it all but $9.95. I'm still not happy - I'm trying to live on this low amount of money - and these scammers are taking 10 bucks from me? PLEASE somebody stop these idiots!
Graciously? Really, you weren't on this end of the phone while I was speaking to them. Now I'm told they can't contact my bank to submit the refund - my bank has to contact them - and I ASSURE you they will. I've filed a grievance about this company with my bank, and my bank said this most certainly was NOT the first they've heard about MyLife.com. I'm just sorry they're getting undeserved advertising from people not knowing the whole situation. No offense Ramelle, but you really don't know the entire situation. The only gracious ones here were the people from my bank.
payment/search
I don't really have a complaint. As I don't pay to do my searches, nor do I care for who is searching for me. If I don't know them, then Tschüs. I think I emailed one person who MyLife said was searching for me. When he said he didn't know me. I left it at that. But then most of us have to realize that perhaps your LAST NAME is a common one, and they maybe searching for someone who has the exact same name as you...first and last. I have found NUMEROUS of females on the web with the same name as myself. The difference, were our ages, and middle names. Secondly, you never pay on sites like this a MINIMAL price like $5.99. You pay on lump sum. That lump sum is the TOTAL of what you would have paid for however long you chose to have the account. As for refunds...MOST companies will not issue a refund, and they will warn you of this in this thing they like to call USER AGREEMENTS/TERMS AND CONDITIONS for legal purposes. There are several sections that are within said LEGAL PAPER. They have these to protect you the CONSUMER and them the PRODUCT PROVIDER. If you are not satisfied with the product you have to email them, which could take up to a week for them to respond to, but in the end they will either refund you, or tell you they don't issue refunds. As for IMPORTING YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS BOOK. YOU have the option to SKIP this when creating a profile on certain sites. Every time I am asked if I want to import my friend email addresses, or invite them, I decline the offer. My friends deserve that type of respect. If you just ZOOM through setting up your profiles, there is no telling what you are signing yourself up for, or if you are giving them access to your address book. READ first what you are signing up for. TAKE YOUR TIME when creating your profile. PAY ATTENTION to what you are clicking on. NEVER agree to pay for something, that you will be dissatisfied with. And if you signed up by using a FREE TRIAL MEMBERSHIP...ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS cancel your membership a day or two days BEFORE your FREE TRIAL MEMBERSHIP ends so your credit card isn't charged.
I had no idea they would charge my credit card
Very bad...Stay away! It was a total ripoff ! I had no idea they would charge my credit card what they did (I think it was one year for 2 services I don't even recall ordering!...plus automatic annual renewal. I called and canceled all services immediately, but they still insisted on charging me for one month anyway. I still plan to dispute all charges with my credit card company and if not successful, I will cancel my (20yr credit card)!
fraud with my credit card
On 7/6/11 I tried to look up a friend, Sue E. Meiner from Mylife.com. After getting into the website, they said it would cost me $15.00 which stupid me signed up for. They said 8 people "were searching for me". Then they charged me over $200.00 because they said I signed up for 1 year. I DID NOT DO THAT!!! My bank acct. is now overdrawn in the amount of...

This website contacted me the same as everyone else, saying someone was searching for me. I did go to check it out but it was "free". Then, I discovered they not only had my info including email, full name, phone number, and DOB (everything anyone needed to steal my identity) but they also had this information on my minor children, hubby, in-laws, nephew, etc. They even have my childhood nic-name, something I haven't used in over 2 decades! When I tried getting them to remove the info, they informed me that it was. I checked and it was not removed. I sent them multiple requests and after over 2 months of fighting them, contacted the Better Business Bureau. The BBB did NOTHING but tell me there was nothing they could do bc I didnt respond to their questions, tho I had, repeatedly. I have been getting the run around about them for over a year! They need to be shut down!

privacy violation
mylife .com is not at all what they seem all they did was give my personal information to the one family member that should not ever try to look me up online. this is an outright invasion of privacy and sanity due to this last attempt this gives me the creeps and i will be searching for an attorney that knows what kind of sick individual trys this stuff when you haven't even talked to this family for over 10years because of their failure to stop and leave people alone I never will ever subscribe to the website and my life better remove me from the list for life.

unauthorised debit to my account by mylife.
Having received an email from Mylife I accessed their website which invited me to register for a free service which suggested that I would be able to follow up names of people looking to make contact with me. None of the names were of interest to me so I conducted no enquiries on the website, nor used it in any way. 3 or 4 days later I discovered a debit transaction on my account for £68.03 originated by Mylife. This amount was totally in excess of the amount of the $8.75 that I had authorised for the registration only. There were no indications that I would be debited a larger amount or that I had subscribed to further services. I have made attempts to contact Mylife but the website does not provide a 'Contact Us' type link. This is clearly a criminal scam. I would be very much welcome your looking into this matter and receiving your comments. Many thanks.

You need to double check the terms and conditions on the site. The free period was properly for x amount of time and so if you didnt cancel before the free period expired they would then proceed to charge you their monthly membership fee. I would instruct your bank so this company can no longer debit your account

billing practices
Wow, these guys really are something else. I requested a complete refund after noticing they took out $119.40 from my account when I only approved $9.99. I have contacted the Attorney General's office because this is terrible. When they told me they would not refund my money, I actually tried using it. The second I log in, they want more money. I couldn't even navigate 1 page without the 'pay more' pop-up.
I can't afford this type of thing, and I am very sure I am not alone.

Going thru same thing you are. Straight up scam !
lying about finding persons
I guess there are others out there other than me, I am 74 yrs old that fell for the trick about finding someone I wanted to locate. Kept sending me e mails saying they had found person, went to web site and wanted me to get them more money even when I gave them 1 yrs subscription.BEST PART I spole to that someone they couldn't find over the phone and they had the same address. SO///// I tried to cancel card over their site, said site could not be displayed. I looking into filling a complaint with BBB AND ATTORNEY GENERAL.
additional charges
I got a full refund after my second complaint for their outrageous charges. I simply asked for their street address so I could complete my complaint to the Texas Attorney General. All of a sudden I got the response we'll refund you in full so you don't have to "be bothered" with filling out forms for the state attorney general.

false information added to profile
MyLife.com falsifies user information and does not provide any way for the user to correct it. They obtain unverified life history data, such as where an individual has lived in the past, from some sort of public records sources, but they make no attempt to ensure the data is correct, nor do they provide any way for the user to correct it. So incorrect information from some other person entirely gets permanently added to one's profile with no way to correct it. This amounts to slander and defamation. Attempts at contacting customer service are not helpful, they refuse to address the problem, claiming they do not have the ability.
So since they're willing to misrepresent you and lie to others about who you are (and refuse to give you any recourse to correct it), are you going to trust them with your personal data and credit card info?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
My life has placed me on their web site as a woman, I'm a man and I need a way to contact them in order to get this changed. I really don't care to be on their site . They shouldn't post incorrect information about someone they don't know.
I gave them m bank account info and then could not get access to info I was tring to find
I was trying to get contact info on my cousin Terry Lee Branstetter, and the stated it was a free search site; however, the would not give me an info until I agreed to a month subscription. Somehow, the already had m bank account number and the name of my bank. When I agreed to sign up for 1 month for a fee of $9.95, I tried to log back into that account and could not do so. It stated my login and./or password I had just given them was invalid. Therefore, I need to know how I can prevent them from charging my bank account, since the obviously have no intenti0n of letting me get the information I was trying to find. Can you help me cancel any business with them and prevent them from debiting my bank account. Also, are there any real truly and totally free people search sites on the web that I can find the info I am looking for to include name, address, email address, etc?

email and theiving of contacts
I have a webmail w/ yahoo. This is good. I also have a webmail account w/ my ISP.
I had not been on the computer for 8 days due to bringing my yard out of winter.
Last night I went on, checked my email w/ ISP. I had rec'vd an email fr my other webmail on yahoo sent 2 days prior! The email was from ME you understand.
It was fr "mylife.com." At the top, this email had the addresses which it also sent thei email to, my contacts!
Have no idea how they got to my contacts.
Facebook did the same thing. My kids asked me to join so that we could pick up photos. Facebook took all the contacts on my list and posted them on the site! One of the contacts was of a now retired CIA specialist which does not want their name posted freely on the internet.
I took all contacts off of all email accounts and have them on hard copy.
I have looked around my yahoo account and cannot find a way to let them know what happened. Nor can I block this mylife site. They have other stuff, but not blocking a dot com site.
I had gone to Mylife once a month ago and never went back when I found out how much it cost.
I wd attach the link, but I was so scared I deleted it. Also w/in the body there was only a link which was a bogus link. I had to make myself brave enough to do a copy and paste to go there.
Everyone, please beware of "Mylife.com, " and "Facebook."
It seems funny that I sh warn people about Facebook, when there are millions of people that love that place.
Thank you for this site. For years I have been wishing for such a site.

You clicked on a link that downloaded a virus spy ware bot that got your Yahoo and Face book email list.
It is using that list to send invites to EVERYONE to click on a link sent by YOU!
When your friends click on the link, they too will be downloading the same spy bot.
Now their email contact list will be stolen to send the same spy bot.
Do a virus scan fast. Do not back up your hard drive as you will be backing up the virus.
profile is WRONG!!
The profile you have made of me is wrong! For starters, why would you have my sons picture there instead of mine? You have my EX-INLAWS as my relatives. You don't have my daughters on it..And you do not have up to date info on it! If you guys are gonna do this to people you need to get the info right! You have my ex-mother inlaw on here and shes been gone 5 years now! [ I really just can't beleive you have my son's picture on this! YOU NEED TO TAKE THAT OFF! Imediately! ]

false advertisment
I have now been the victim of stalker and saw the ad on tv for MyLife.com, I was appalled, yes appalled at its true purpose. I had personnally come to understand that MyLife.com would serve as a way to find out who is looking for you. I mean, thats what the ad said. But when I visited I simply had to put my age, first and last name all I saw pop up was all my personal information as well as a panoramic view showing the two houses directly across from my home! The photographer would have had to stand in my yard to capture them. I say thats extremely frigtening and dangerous

stay away
My life.com is connected to SAVEACE and also known as reunion.com. I've being recieving numerous payment on my debit card. I believe they distribute your account number to all this fraudulent company which then start making unauthorised billing.
I recieved two times billing of 4.95. i called my life and was told it was a non-refundable fee for accessing mylife.com members contacts. This was after i paid a $60 dollar one year subscription fee in june 2009 for that same purpose.
I was then billed 19.95 today july 11 2009 from saveace. Which i have no clue who they are or what i'm being billed for. I called mylife.com on [protected] asking them if they knew something about the billing because i know for a fact that i never used the card for any online billing accept for mylife.com bill. mylife.com denied giving savingace my acct information but accepted giving them my email address. I called savingAce on [protected] giving them the account info i used to sign up for mylife.com and i spoke to a representative who told me that mylife.com gave them all my log on details including my credit card number.
which draws a conclusion that mylife.com sells your private information to other fraudulent websites.
did not sign up for ( whos searching for you)
I signed up for 30 day upgrade for People search for 15.95. on [protected]
Now myLife is charging me a whole year for whos searching for you for 131.40

false advertising
How does the web site MyLife.com get away with all this FALSE ADVERTISING? They are allowed to advertise on tv saying that "you can find out who's looking for you for FREE." This is an out and out lie--you cannot! Take these people to the proper authorities so they can be prosecuted and stop their lies! They are obviously just reeling in people who believe their lies, so that they can update peoples' names and addresses all over the internet. Be careful what personal information you give to these crooks! Where are the authorities who prosecute false advertising? This is a crime.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This is a fraud and false advertisement. If you see the attached ad, you will see that is states that you can find out who has been googling your name. Not what percentage but an actual name FREE!
This is not the case at all however. You have to subscribe which will cost you $36 to $60 depending on the length of time.
When I called the 888 number: [protected]. I was told that this ad is incorrect and that I would need a premium account by Jessie at extension 256. Purely false advertising without a care in the world.
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE to this joke of a company. When it was Reunion.com I had a good friend that received so much spam after subscribing to them, that they had to get rid of that email account.
Mylife.com runs television advertising which claims consumers can find out who is searching for them for free. Once on the website, the mark discovers that, after submitting his or her information, he or she must PAY for the search information. This company is guilty of false advertising.
The TV ads imply My Life is a free service. It's not. The ads say My Life has millions of messages accessible by just going to their website. Once again, a lie. My Life showed 57 people who were "searching for me". I'd never heard of ANY of them. I signed up thinking perhaps I could hook up with some guys I was in the military with. Turns out that searching FOR someone requires another membership which costs even more than "getting messages from people searching for you". This is a total scam.
well...this is advertised on TV...also stated thru my email it was free to search for someone...then to see who is searching for you...what a joke...they want money...this is a scam
HEAR, HEAR! Is there no way to stop this absolutely fraudulent piece of crap? There has GOT to be a gvt. agency that has some jurisdiction here. PLEASE! ASAP!
Wow...this is so funny. Supposedly grown adults, squabbling back and forth over all this non-sense about searching for someone, or being searched for and it didnt happen for free. Then you have the man that defends this website and is willing to argue beyond all scenerios. Not everyone is into online marketing or has the advertisement savvy TomStone does. I was about to go on this site, just to check it out. I would never pay anything without getting exactly what I thought was offered for free. Free means free. If I went in and found that it cost afterwards, then I just wouldnt give my credit card info or sign up. So really, this is all just common sense. Common sense for those who believe anything is for free and common sense for TomStone to even bother arguing the fact that people are upset about what they feel is false advertisement. It is very normal for anyone to feel this way. It's a no win situation. Why argue? And yes, it looks like I am supporting the website too by commenting. So what...It's free...RIGHT?
What part is free its all free until you want to login you guys lie and it says in the Bible you lie you fry
These guys arguing with you TomStone may have manners, I do not. TomStone, you are completely full of ###, just look how you are able to argue with Madmike, replying within 1 day. What do you have to say to our friend Smokin'Sam? Not a ###in thing. TomStone, go ### yourself and burn in hell, cuz we all know you are full of ###.
Marketing= [censored]bags with no skills thinking up scams to clog up the internet. Viva the next dotcom bust!
Yeah, Tom, why would anyone go to a scam sight and complain? The real question is why would *you* waste your time going to a complaint site and defend a company you supposedly don't represent?
The reason I'm here is that I got a spam e-mail telling me someone is searching for *me*, not someone named me but me. That's deceptive.
By the way, having a profile on everyone in the U.S. would also be deceptive as a profile by any standard and certainly *reasonable* standards which the law would require, is more than having their name.
You're obviously getting paid by the hour to troll websites defending these companies. If you're not, contact them and get a job, there's nothing better than turning a hobby into a money maker.
