credit card ripoff
I tried to use this site to locate a friend whoes name they had, but of coure I couldn't without paying a fee. I chose one month for $12.95 and went through the process of giving all my cerdit card info. After two weeks of not getting any reply from this friend, I decided to cancel the account ant to my horror they had charged my credit card with over $150. They never gave any info that they would charge my card that amount, I gald I didn't just forget about this site and let them get away this. The site is a total ripoff.

I want you to understand that this is not a customer service department for any business, and quite probably no one from MyLife.com will see your complaint. I don't understand why you think they will read this, when this website obviously has no affiliation with that one. Also, I'd like to point out that capitalization and properly spacing words from periods helps in making things readable.

This promotion popped up on my yahoo E mail site. It distinctly said $11.95 per year. later that evening (1/24/211) I noticed $143.40 debited against my account.
I sent an E mail to them immediately requesting that the transaction be cancelled which to date I have not received a reply. on reading complaints on this site; it appears
that My life is misleading and scamming people out of thier money by charging you for service you are not even sure you will receive. I want the service cancelled and my money returned to my account.
Worthy of note I am unable to find or bring up the Initial site that popped up on my screen
won't let me access my account
I am a member of MyLife. I just renewed my account on Nov. 5, of this year with my credit card. My card was charged $65.84 for the amount of time I selected .The transaction number for this is
75309560309284192605310. It has been deducted which shows I should get to view profiled search for classmate I and singles. and yet when I try to get on it the ad shows about becoming to a new member. I would appreciate your help. I have messages that I cant get too.and read Sincerely, Carol Brixey
MyLife offers 2 different types of subscriptions, Quick Match Singles and People Search. Sounds to me like your not logging into your account correctly. You are able to select a Password Reset, or by calling into Customer Care. There is no such thing as Classmates on the MyLife website. On MyLife, you are able to add information about yourself, companies you have worked for, your education, even a picture, by doing this, you are creating a complete profile rather then have just a name on the site. MyLife is a people search website, unlimited searches to obtain an address or telephone number. The Quick Match portion has a different subscription, used for locating singles in your area.
fraudulent charge
On November 5, 2010 I received an email saying I had Premium Membership in the Mylife reunion dating site. The charge appeared on November 6, 2010 in the amount of $24.95. I have tried several times to see who is looking for me and they always suggest I become a premium member. This is very upsetting. I notice in the other complaint the amount charges is different. The amount of $24.95 does not show up in any of there advertisement cost charts.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I was charged twice for a one month trial membership. Called MYLIFE Reunion Dating and they explained that there are two sections to join (not apparent on the website) and so two charges are made. They said they'd remove the charges in 7 to 10 days.
COMPLAINT AGAINST '"MY LIFE REUNION-DATING" FRAUDULENT CHARGE ON MY CHECKING ACCOUNT: On December 28, I was billed twice for an alleged subscription against my DEBIT CARD, DATED 12/26/10, IN THE AMOUNT OF $119.40 AND $143.40.For your information, I never ordered any subscription and yet they billed me without my authority. I never had any previous dealings with them, past and present. How they were able to obtain my DEBIT CARD NUMBER is beyond me.IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS A "BIG CREDIT/DEBIT CARD SCAM" BEING PERPETRATED BY "MY LIFE .REUNION-DATING". from LARGION NAJERA
I am having the same problem but how do I contact them to have these charges removed, I have tried to cancel with them but they keep billing me, Can anyone out there help me with this. When I click on mylife it takes me to singlesnet, I am confused,
invasion of privacy
search.mylife.com uses heavy handed promotion tactics by taking access of email and Facebook accounts. search.mylife.com posted on Walter Ezell's Facebook account (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=lf#!/profile.php?id=1313183042) under his name and without his authorization. And he does not have access to remove the offensive promotional statement.
Walter Ezell I just found this cool site that gives me the names of people searching for me online! You gotta check this out.

I accepted an invitation to check out Mylife.com, and the next thing I know they had sent a message to all my Facebook friends under my name recommending their service. I did not write the message and it is worded in a juvenile way recommending a product I don't believe in. They hijacked my Facebook identity and used it for their own commercial purposes, causing me embarrassment and distress. There is no way for me to delete this false message.
I enjoy going to face book but when i keep on getting hacked by some daft idiot its not fair, all my hard work in researching on Michael Schumacher just goes, if the hackers get caught they should be hung for the wrong doings. how would they like it that was hacking on there hard work they would soon moan. its time the law in England wasn't tough enough.
That's what happened.
wrong person
I paid to search for a Sahwn Hyde dob 3-28-70, which makes him 40 years of age. Just about every day or so, I get emails from my life stating Shawn R. Hyde had finally been found when I click on the link I see the age at 30. With what I paid for why can't they get it right? Stop wasting my time with all these Shawn Hyde who are the wrong ones. I am seeking Shawn Robert Hyde, dob 3-28-70. How difficult can this be?

charge on my credit card.
Their phone number isn't working anymore, so that I could talk with some one. They charged my CREDIT CARD without me knowing it.
I just found out they also charged my account for $190.00 and I've never even heard of them before. What can I do? I don't even have that much in my account, and I need what is left of my disability to live on for the next two weeks.
automatic billing continues after canceling subscription
My name is Mike Creel & I should mention that I'm permanently disabled from living with type 1 diabetes since I was 10; I'm currently 44. I signed up with MyLife.com for a trial subscription which was a 1-time payment at the start of a 3-month cycle at $32.85. I understood that it would automatically withdraw that amount again on Nov. 3 in my case. What little contact info was provided for a few friends I was looking for was from about 15-20 years ago in most cases. I run out of money about 1/2 way through everyonth because I can't work & live on disability alone. I had $33 to spare a few months ago & needed to find a certain friend, so I figured I'd give it a try. I cancelled the auto-renewal feature at mylife.com on Oct. 13 & received a confirmation email from them confirming that fact. When I awoke Nov. 4 & checkedy email, I received a congratulations from them confirming my auto-renewal & successful withdrawal of $32.85 from my account! These ### are no better than murderers in my book! As hard as it may be for most to believe, $33 can men the difference between life & death for disabled people. I can't pay all my rent & eat, etc. As a diabetic without a home & no refrigeration to preserve my insulin, I'm finished. I'm going to post a petition through change.org on my facebook page which is facebook.com/mikecreel.bass. I only hope I can manage that much in time! This mylife.com thing is utter ###! They're scamming disabled people! While most of us disabled persons don't consider ourselves victims of anything, many (including mylife.com) see us as easy to victimize. DO NOT sign on with these ###ers for anything! Best wishes, Mike
theytook money that was unauthorized
they told me i had seven people
looking for me and that the first week was free so i gave them my daughters card number i saw no results at all i was hoping the seven people were members of my family that i have lost contact with but they lied to me and took $195+$18 dollars off my daughters card without authorization from her or me i have called nnd emailed with no responce this is a scam they need to be stopped
i wish i had seen this site before i signed up with mylifereunion i wouid not hhave signed up
I guess I signed up a year ago for the mylife search engine. I was not aware that it rebilled automatically and when I called them to remove this new charge, they refused. They could see that I hadn't used the service since the first time I signed up for it. If you sign up, be sure to UNSIGN UP!
i am getting statements on my credit card with authorizing anyone to a subscription, along with a paypal charge! do not do this! a total rip off!
MylifeReuniom.com charged my credit card without my permission.
fraud / deciet / theft
"MY LIFE" is a scam -- stay the hell away from it. In the TV commercials it sounded belevelent enough that I thought I'd give it a try. First you need to understtand that I am a 66-year old diviced man living alone in my RV so just about any form of recreation is appreaciated.
I went to the website and the instructions being rather straightforward, I entered my name and my zip code and was instantly told that I have five women looking for me. As long as one wasn't an ex-wife what did I have to lose. Read the info on the page and saw that for a one time charge of $5.95 I could receive the names and the states the women were in so I frilled out the paperwork and like the sucker that PT Barnum spoke about one born every second, my credit card as well.
Got the pictures and the states but if these were women, they I have forgotten a lot since my divorce of these were some of the ugliest dragqueens ever to be photogrphaed. Wrote off the $5.95 and figured my experiene with "My Life" was over but it wasn't to be. On a credit bill I saw a charge from them for $119.40 which even going by my ancient math schools was $113.45 off. Called the phone number for "MY LIFE" which was included with my statement and spoke with a gentlement that semed to which to take his entire life out of me (or perhaps he knows my ex-wife). I explained that I had signed up for the $5.95 one time charge and was informed in no uncertain words that I was lying. I do admit that forty years ago that would have had me dragging him though the phone but this time I remained calm as no one can fight, debate or argue when they're mad. He informed me that the minimum charge is $9.95 per month billed annually which explained the $119.40 charge. At that time I informed him that I have no use for his service and want only what I had agreed to, the $5.95 arrangements. Perhaps his command of the English language wasn't what it should be as it did appear that he was more familiar with the gutter than a classroom. He made a comment that someone my age should not be allowed to do business as we don't know what business is about. My retort was to inform him that I am very aware of the difference between an honest business and a fraud. For some reason he took offense to that word and the call was terminated which meant I had to redial and go everything again with another representating who I almost had to apologize for calling "My Life" a frand saying something was lost. He did make arrangemtns to reduce my account to the three months for $29.85 which I wrote off as another lesson learned and again thought I was through with "My Life" but it was not to be.
Again in checking my bank account I found a charge from a group called "SAVINGSACE" (which I believe is http:www.savingace.com). The chage was a reocurring chage for $19.95. I contacted the number on the chage slip and spoke with a loverly woman that could not have been more gracious. She told me that "My Life" had opened the account using information I'd supplied to them. When I said I wanted that account closed immediately and the money returned to my account she said it would done.
Needless to say, I have cancelled that credit card to prevent My Life from taking over my life and suggest that anyone else that is having similar problems do the same.
Tlephone Number I used for MY LIFE: [protected] (But be prepared to argue)
Telephone Number I used for SAVINGACE: [protected] (and hope you get Demetria to help you)
PA: Just as an experiemtn, I entered the name I used as a child sixty years ago and the zip code where I lived at the time. Never guess, got the same four women looking for me. What does it take to prove that a scan is being pulled on all of us?
I think everyone on here is very funny and beyond ignorant! OPEN YOUR EYES AND READ PEOPLE! You talk about this company like they put a gun to your head and made you enter your credit card information to sign up. It is all your choice and you get options to choose from on the subscriptions they offer. I went to MyLife.com last night and before I went I came here to see what people have to say and to tell you the truth the people on here are just plain stupid and have no business talking about this company at all! MyLife.com puts it very clear the terms and the charges. Right where you enter your credit card information it tells you the charge for the term you select and that all accounts are set to renew unless you cancel before the anniversary date. It also states there all charges are NON-REFUNDABLE. All that information is right there before you click the continue button. I don't understand how the heck someone can't see that. No it is not small light grey writing. Sounds like people on here are either blind or need to adjust their computer moniter brightness. I think people on here need to learn to read or stay away from the internet. If you want the service just make sure you read everything. It says $9.95/month not $9.95 for the whole 12 months. People, seriously, open your eyes and read! Don't blame the company for YOUR stupidity! And I spoke with customer service to help me sign up and i have yet to have a bad expierence. they are very kind and will nto lie to you. I think you are just stupid for not reading correctly and blamed the poor customer service person for your mistakes. Grow Up!
false information
I had requested info about an old friend. For a fee, they will get the info. I get the information, which is not complete. Then mylife will get new info, for a fee. They keep offering me new info, for a fee, which I will not pay. Just found out this person I have been looking for (found out via another website, and confirmed on another website) passed away in 1989, yet, mylife still continues to claim to have new info on this person, and it is the same person (birthdates match and it is not a common name).
internet & c. card fraud
I Recently signed up for mylife.com in hopes of finding old school friends. And i saw where someone was looking for me.The site is very misleading. What i thought was going to be a 26.00 charge at the last second said my card was bein charged 179.oo.If i:d known that i would of never have signed up for it.First person i tried to find was mostly the wrong information on the person i was looking for.The picture was diffently not the person i was looking for. When i looked to see who was looking for me it was someone i"ve never heard of.At the time it said, aJEFFREY TINSLEY was looking for the person who was looking for me.At the time i didn:t make the connection he"s the ceo of MYLIFE.COM.When i tried to look up other people it said, go to your e-mail.Well guess what ? nothing. No information.NOTHING! I tried again still nothing.Kept checking e-mail NOTHING! Then i started getting upset .Then i started checking reviews and blogs to my horr. What i was starting to think was true. All the reviews and blogs all the same stories.I got charged 179.00 for NOTHING.And iam sure if i check my card its probly got fraudlent charges.HOW CAN MYLIFE>COM advertise on T.V.? And why isn:t he shut down.?And how does the CEO sleep at night defrauding, not providing services that the claim are propived.I can"t afford a 179.00 charge. And then get nothing in return.I almost feel sorry for the CEO he must of had a bad up bring if this is how he turned out.defrauding and misleading thousands of unexpected vimits. And yes were all VITIMS! Why punish thousands cause you don"t understand how to be a decent human being. How can you honestly walk in this world?Well you will meet your maker someday.I just feel ashamed and embrassed to have got involved with the likes of you.Just like you to know when your out spending my money think about this you took our food money. So sleep on that. Some of us have to work! were not all CON ARTIST! I hope they shut you down before there:s anymore vitims.
I too received an email that someone I know is looking for me. I decided to do a search of MyLife.com and found several complaints. Thank you for sharing your experience on Complaints Board. I hope you somehow get your money back. Janice
Thank you for sharing your experience, I did a search of My life.com verses responding to the email that someone was looking for me. When I saw Scam attached, I read several complaints including yours. I hope you get your money refunded somehow. Janice
using info from other sites
I innocently went to My Life when I was searching for a cousin. Would not have expected to then have a continual stream of e-mails with begging for me to join so I could see if the person they found might possibly be the person I was searching for. I never gave them a dime and finally got them to remove me from their e-mail list. However, I googled myself and was absolutely furious when I saw that My Life now has my name attached to their site! Trying to make money from me, even though I never joined! Predator site; wish I'd never gone on the search.
charging without authorization
I joined because if you don't, no information is transparent. Six months for $9.95. Now this month I got charged $9.95 AGAIN. That was not authorized. Is there any attorneys reading this that want to file a class action law suit? By what I am reading these people that run this company are scammers. I am also contacting the attorney general of my state. This is nonsense if they think they are going to charge my card every month, and the on top of it I don't have access to the site. I had access to the site once. On top of it, the reason I got involved with this is that they bated me by saying someone was looking for me. We happen to have a family, member that we are searching for.

sucker born every minute
As pt barney once said, there is a sucker born every minute. Now i've lived 66 years and thought i'd managered to get around most of them but this new one from "my life" beats all. It sounded intriqueing as I was told that five women were searching for me. Another come on and I plain ignorned it. Saw a price of $9.95 to find out who they were so went ahead and filled out the credit card info request only I use a debit card so a quick look at my bank saw a charge for $119.40 that I did not authoriz. A quck call (The very net morning) explaining that I did not want the service and never sawa charge for $119.40. I was informed that the prices are clearly indicated at $9.95 per month with a one-year contract. Raised holy hell only to get hung up on. Placed a second call that seemed to be going better until I asked if this was a scan. Instantly hung up on. 3rd call did offer some form of relief. A $77.00 credit to my credit card but i'm suck with a non-renewable 90 account that I have no intention of using at those five women turned out to be men in states that i've never lived in.
Service at my life is non existent as the wait time for my three calls was almost two hours.
The same thing happened to me yesterday/today, except no one ever answered the phone and now I can't get into the site to delete the account either. No service was provided and I can't reach them to cancel, so I've stopped the charge with my bank and filed a dispute. I have to get a new debit card now, too. Eff these scamming SOBs!
I want my money back
does anyone know how to unsubscibe or for that matter even how to log in they withdrawed money from my account i didnt authorize it i want my 36 bucks i can't even find a place to login i sure as hell dont want to register and let them takre more

for over a year mylife reunion has been withdrawing $38.00 every 3 mos . i have called them . they say they will cancel . i have never authorized thi company to withdrawn anything
The website My Life (formerly Reunion) took an automatic payment from my bank acct. Less than 2 weeks after the withdrawal I requested that the service be canceled. I was told that they do not issue refunds. So I am stuck with a 12 month membership that I do not want. It is a worthless service.
I was charged an unauthorized fee of $60 on my credit card on 1/6/10.
Contact your bank and put a stop payment on the automatic withdrawal. it may cost you $28.00 but it will stop that company from making any further withdrawals.
Try calling their customer service number at [protected]. Took me three repeated calls as my first two were hung up on. It can work if your persistent...
Try calling [protected]. I received a $77 refund already in my bank
scamming mylife.com
We don't know if these positive comments are from mylife.com owners or employees. What I do suggest is that maybe if you have information on this site register again with different information. Disinformation is the best policy. Change your birth date, town you live in, phone numbers marital status, make up names of relatives etc. Inundate them with disinformation to make their information incorrect. It may also protect you against identify theft. Any reputable company will get your information from you as an individual rather than a site like classmates, mylife, reunion etc. Good luck.

stealing money from my account
when i receive my bank report i saw that this website had stolen money from my account.this kind of website should not be allowed.even the people who are on their website are scammers.
i hope that this matter be under investigation.
THIS PERSON IS A SCAMMER FROM MY LIFE.COM
HIS NAME HE GAVE IS TONI ALMEIDA.AND HE SAID HE IS FROM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA.
THIS IS A REPORT FROM MILAGROS PALISOC
I HOPE YOU WILL PUBLISH HIM TOO ON YOUR COMPLAINTS BOARD.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
My son I believe is jealous of my wife and I with our credit score being much higher then his that he figured out a plan to steal from our checking account using accounts that he filled out applications using my name but his address and also "Bill Me Later" along with "Pay Pal." He some how bled almost $1, 000 with the help of "Bill Me Later" with monthly withdrawals from out checking account from Feb. of 3013 thru June of 2013. In the month of June, 2013, I happened to notice two withdrawals of $100.00 each and asked my wife about the withdrawals and she didn't know so we took the matter to the bank and since it was within the time period, they ordered the funds to be reversed to our account and we started checking our account back to Feb. when the withdrawals started. We contacted "Bill Me Later" & they denied that they did anything wrong & refused to refund the money of $779.00. We/I sent them proof that we collected over time and still they will not refund our money. We contacted an attorney and was told that it would cost us more then the amount that we would be getting back.
I am receiving so many "guess who is looking up your info.." from MYLIFE..thru all my emails and the name isnt even mine.. I dont even know how they got my info. I've never even been to that site.. I checked once and the ages and last names were a joke... they need to stop harassing me cause this is bull****!
www.mylife.com has told me in the past that Michelle was trying to contact me which I have found to be full of lies. You see a few years back, Elizabeth took Michelle (My Daughter) to Manchester, CT to live far from me. I did a bad thing when I signed adoption papers to have a man who married Liz and adopt Michelle. When www.mylife.com contacted me that Michelle was trying to get ahold of me, I couldn't believe it and I wrote to her at the last known address that I had for Michelle. I even sent her a print out of the page that mylife.com sent to me and she never wrote to me so I knew it was an upsetting but expected heartbreak. You see Michelle is my daughter thru my blood and I still love her even though she hates my guts and will not listen to reason. She is now married to what I believe a lawyer so she is being well taken care of & that attorney should know that there are 2 sides to every story and so far she has only heard her mothers side of the story. She will have to answer to the big judge someday soon and he is now here on Earth.
same as above!
my computer is hard to pull-up "any" hotmail/e-mail service.so i have to cancel {anytime} rather than pay for a service i rarely use .my family has no problem{s} but they don't use MYLIFE so I thank you for your effort.sincerely, LILLIAN GROSS
I, too, got cheated. I agreed to a charge of 11.95 and instead was charged 71.70. If I can help in any way to get this cleared up and my money back in my account, please let me know.

totally bogus
After multiple solicitations from this company, including complete information about anyone who might be looking for me {I was told 128 people were trying to find me} I gave in and submitted a one month membership.
Well, Joe Shmo was one of the people, as well as many people with my same name. No one meaningful in any way ran a search for me. Not only that but the info provided is largely links to other sites that want me to pay for their information. So, first you're enticed to join on false promises, and then they have the nerve to enroll you in an automatic monthly membership that they will collect with no renewal permission from you. This site is the worst. Don't waste your money.
I nearly had a nervous breakdown after a couple of hours crying after seeing my own father on this horrific site. He had abused my sister, resulting in her own mental illness and criminal behavior which caused her to be sent to prison for 10 years. She, I and my other sister haven't contacted him for nearly 20 years because of all the horror. 5 years ago, my sister got out of prison and I've been hoping she can finally have some peace and happiness; then I see this mind-blowing piece of crap that shows that both my sisters are somehow suddenly back on friendly terms with that monstronsity. I nearly disowned my family as a whole because I thought they were literally insanely self/destructrive for so easily reconnecting with my father... but it was just some trite marketing ###. I hate your guts, MyLife.com. You know NOTHING about MY life, you are a fraud, a horror, and stay the hell out of business that is beyond your ability to fathom. You ZERO. Rot in hell, if only I believed it existed. Die in obscurity and heinously, you ###.
Anyone that even imagines anything like this to be legit is not living in the present. 99% of the adds you see on TV are scams. ANYTHING that includes the word "Free" is laughable. I would say that it would be much easier to start a forum about the adds that are NOT scams and save all this bandwidth. Required reading on the increasing stupidity of the masses would be a nice place to start a basic education before anyone buys anything. America is starting wars and killing millions thanks to the ###s that fall for the largest scam of all. Shameful.
