They require a cell phone to redeem points.
I cannot redeem my points because I can't receive text messages on my ancient flip phone. You cannot redeem points without typing a code that they will text to you. In addition, it is impossible to chat with a person. They only provide generic answers to what they think is your question. I tried to call the number that I found for their parent company and received a recorded
message that they don't take calls for "my points."
Desired outcome: I want to redeem my points. I wish they would accept my password and then email me the verification code like everyone else.
MyPoints deactivated my account after I tried to redeem points
I have been a member of MyPoints for 10 years or longer with no issues. I was accumulating points all week prior to deactivation. My timeline shows I was earning points from purchases and surveys, all month and 5 five minutes before deactivation. Two weeks ago, I participated in a 90 minute focus group with a $75 payment. I had over 16, 000 points with over 2000 pending points. When I tried redeem my point for $100 amazon gift card, I was prompt to log on and it stated my account was deactivated. I reach out several times to MyPoints and they reply that I violated their terms of service, but cannot say how. This is totally unfair. Please help, they are virtually stealing from me without a reason.
Desired outcome: My earnings
Same with me!
Completed order (ON VIDEO) and they still tried to say I didn’t complete the task
MyPoints is 100% a SCAM. I received an offer of "buy something from this retailer and you will get 20, 000 points!" There was no disclaimer at the bottom saying the purchase had to be a certain amount. So I went through (clicking the MyPoints email) and bought a small item. Waited for my points to arrive, and nothing. I received the same BonusMail offer again a few weeks later. I figured "maybe I didn't submit it right the first time and that's why my points never showed up (even as pending!)" So I clicked the BonusMail again and purchased another item from the same retailer (sgain, still no minimum purchase price on this BonusMail) - only this time, I RECORDED myself doing it to prove that I completed this (and saved all of my emails showing there was no purchase minimum for this offer, too). Again, no points, I reached out to them a while later to ask what is going on. They said "we didn't show that you completed this offer" EXCEPT I DID. TWICE. And both times it "didn't get reported to you" from the retailer for my points to be released? I literally have VIDEO and email evidence that I completed the offer and they still will not recognize that I completed this offer - TWICE.
Absolute, 100% a scam to get you to buy from their partners and then deny you any reward for it. They owe me 20, 000 points and are refusing to honor that. Stay FAR away from these scammers!
Failure to verify account
Okay, I've filled out the necessary field such as giving my phone number and requesting to use my Email to receive my 10.00$ gift card and it won't let me. In detail, the mail option won't allow me to change my address so I can get my order and the other option rejects my phone number- even after verifying that it works! If that's wild then listen to this: whenever I try to change the send address it goes back a page and the address is the same! Another wild detail: it's addressed to your exact location in the help center in San Francisco, CA 94105 44 Montgomery St. Ste 250! I still can't change the address to be sent to me and I really need my hard-earned sent to me without all this complication please and thank you!
Desired outcome: To have my verification and 10.00$ gift card after sending my phone number
I'm having the same problem. Trying to find out how to contact this company
My points that I earned have been taken away. My account has been deactivated.
On May 5, 2021
Knotts.[protected]@gmail.com
I tried to sign in to redeem over 17000 points and the system tells me that my account has been deactivated. I did not do this. I use my points daily.
I want my account to be reactivated and my points reinstated.
I have done nothing against policy and have been very pleased with this program. I enjoy using the search engine.
Desired outcome: I want my account as well as my points given back.
Surveys
Recently I was told I was banned for inconsistency in my surveys.
I have messaged them several times with the same copy/paste response (you've been banned for inconsistencies)
I've been told to make a ticket, so when you try... you get a response... copy paste see above. No ticket is every made.
I want to know WHAT are my inconsistencies. Some of the other people banned are told it's the survey sites doing this, I don't believe that at all.
My last response was from FB messages where I was told, they have nothing more to say to me.
Without surveys you can no longer finish major goals (7 day challenge, store receipts, bingo game and the daily challenge).
There seems to have been a massive banning a few weeks ago. I'd just like to speak to a human that has some solid answers and my account restored.
Desired outcome: Account restored or facts of my "inconsistencies"
I agree with you. I noticed the same that there has been a massive banning. Used to get notifications via email when the ticket was created. Now, you don't get those email notifications. They have taken all of that away I have over 115000 points and then all of a sudden I can't even log into my account. I requested a Reset password 5 times and none of the new passwords let me get in. They must have deactivated me.
Sent an email to their Customer Care team. no response yet. I only took surveys and met the daily goals. Since I accumulated bonus points, now they want to take all of that away and stop the process of meeting the daily bonus by deactivating me. Even when I complete the survey fully with answering all the questions, they don't don't post the points at all Plus creation of ticket has become a futile task that their team does not respond to. All of these points and time that I spent over the years gone to waste!
What a scam!
Banned from surveys
In the past month or two, MyPoints has banned a slew of members (including this one), citing "inconsistencies" and "incorrect answers."
The survey companies themselves say at the beginning of their surveys that the information is confidential and that they are interested in our opinions, and that "there are no correct or incorrect answers."
So how can MyPoints say that our answers are "incorrect" when the survey companies themselves tell us that there are NO incorrect answers?
Also, if the surveys are confidential, then why is MyPoints looking at the opinions which we provide to the survey companies?
When MyPoints is asked for specific examples of these alleged "inconsistencies" and "incorrect answers, " they reply with a canned robo response. When members reply to the robo response, it is simply sent again. Since our accounts were flagged, it was for a reason, and that reason should be given to each member who requests it. This is what members receive:
"You are receiving this message because you submitted a ticket under the disabled Gold Survey dashboard form. If the following response is not related to your inquiry, please submit a new ticket under the correct form.
"To protect the integrity of the survey research, we consistently monitor survey responses to ensure the information provided is answered as directed and/or consistent. Due to too many incorrect responses, we are unable to reactive the Gold Survey dashboard on your account."
Because other activities are linked to the survey page, members who are banned from surveys are also banned from certain other point-earning activities as well.
Desired outcome: Reinstatement to survey taking (for myself and all other recently banned members).
www.mypoints.com
I have been trying to redeem my points for a visa card or PayPal for the last two weeks it won't allow me to redeem the points the page does not load or and nothing shows up can u please take a look at the account and fix the issue so I am able to redeem my points? Email is [protected]@gmail.com please contact me as I haven't been able to access the page it won't load
Desired outcome: redeemable points
Suspended Account
I have 2 issues:
I have been suspended from my account. They are saying that I was dishonest and thoughtless with my answers. I have never been dishonest with my account. I value these surveys too much to be dishonest, I am hearing that mypoints does this a lot especially when people have a lot of points. That is one issue.
My second issue I have redeem 3 $100 gift certificates for Lowes and I have yet to receive them in my email.
The resolution that I want is to have my account not suspended and to receive my 3 $100 gift certificates for Lowes in my email.
I would love both of these 2 issues resolved ASAP as I am loosing points with mypoints and other survey companies.
Desired outcome: The outcome that I want is to have my account not suspended and to receive my 3 $100 gift certificates for Lowes in my email.
In active account after being sick for a week and not getting $50 in rewards.
I was sick for over a week (not Covid=19 related. Before getting sick I had requested $50 in gift certificates for Amazon, which I had earned. I go back on MyPoints after feeling better and my account is now inactive and guess what: no $50 amazon gift certificate. I now get a message it may take 30 days to reactivate my account. What in the world is going on with these people. It's bad enough you get kicked out of a survey that says 98% complete and receive little reward after spending 15-30 minutes answering all the questions. I need MyPoints to step up and do the right thing and as far as I am concerned there have been many people who seem to get the short end of the stick in dealing with them.
Desired outcome: Give me my $50 worth of Amazon gift certificates.
Unethical behavior
Company refuses to compensate for surveys completed, and are stating reasons that are not true for doing so. I am unable to exactly quote line by line the monies owed because I am no longer able to view that information on their website. Every time I log into the account and try to access required information, it states "we need a little bit more...

Why was I suspended from Peanut labs on My points
I got a notice this morning that I was suspended from Peanut labs and I do not understand why, I have been a member for almost 7 years, I try to answer questions the best I can. There have been issues with not receiving the points for completing surveys.i have also had technical problems, I put in my true answers and the computer changes my answers. The surveys will freeze up and stop working, they will say I didn't answer a question when I have, it will not take the answer.i have tried complaining but get no where and no response.
Desired outcome: Please give my an honest and truthful answer
Surveys
I am 67 years old and while filling out some surveys on MyPoints I made some apparent errors and now they have blocked me from taking surveys. Because of this I am unable to complete several activities that have cost me credits towards gift cards
Desired outcome: enable me to take surveys again
I took surveys and never received the promised points
I took surveys and showed them the proof that the survey was completely taken but they refused to credit me with the points, it was taken on December15, I have been complaining to them but they will not give me my points from doing a three part survey, I have the survey number and I have sent them several photos of the survey number and it proofing that the survey was completely taken. The surveys were on toilet paper .I even gave them the company name and a phone number with the information but they refuse to give me my points, so they lied and cheated me several times
Desired outcome: I would like them to give me my 810 plus points
account frozen
On 12/14 and 12/15, I was not able to connect to my account as usual. When attempting to recover my password, as that was the noted issue, I was told given a chance to recover my password through my email. When I attempted that, apparently there was not an account I could get password reset email. When I tried making a new account, I was told there was already an account with that email. So... either there is an account with my email that wasn't registered and I am unable to request password help with OR there is no account because the password request didn't go through.
Requires cell phone redeem points
I tried to redeem my points but was blocked by a page asking me to verify my account. It was asking my to submit a cell phone number. The problem is that I don't have a cell phone and I already verified my account. So, I contacted their customer service and told them this. The response was that my account is ready to be verified. I tried to redeem my points again but the same page came up. I contacted customer service again and told them what happened. I got the exact same response. So, I contacted them again and thoroughly explained my situation. They sent me the same message again but this time they added account reverifications have been postponed with no time frame of when they will start up again.
On the account verification page, I found out that if you click on send code it sends you to another page with mail pin option. The problem with that is the address it will send the pin to is to their office in San Francisco to someone named Kim Smith (it must be an employee there). Under the address it gives you the option to edit the address but that's fake because it just sends you back to the account verification page.
Other people online have reported problems when submitting their cell phone number. Some have received no code, some receive a code weeks later, and some receive a code that doesn't even work. Is MyPoints harvesting cell phone number? Are they closing down? Are they trying to avoid paying users for their services? I don't know but I find this behavior very suspicious and shady. I filed a complaint with the FTC and other applicable agencies because this is not right. Note that MyPoints is owned by Prodege, which have their offices in El Segundo, CA, phone 310-294-9599. I called them but the phone number is just an automated response.
MyPoints contacted me stating that my account had been reset. They also stated that they can ask for re-verification at any time. I just redeemed the points I had an closed the account.
Here's the third page I forgot to upload.
Account deactivation
Last week my wife tried to redeem points on her account for a $25 gift card. As soon as she hit the "Confirm" button she was logged out, and when trying to log in a message that the "Account has been deactivated" appears. Today, when trying to redeem points for a $5 gift card on my account, the same thing occurred. My thinking is that since we use a VPN for privacy and data security, their program thinks the account is being hacked and deactivates the account (which is funny because they offer points for purchasing and using a VPN that they are selling). There is absolutely NO customer service available, every time I click the button to chat with support it returns "We are not online at the moment". This company is now running the biggest scam going, keep earning them money by clicking emails and completing surveys, then not paying out what people are owed. I'm done with this site.
Earned points not given
From 6/1/2020 I earned more than 3600 points. The detail of this is listed on my account statement from 6/1/2020 to current. However, my total point balance is only 2052. I have not redeemed any points as of 6/1/2020 so I should have at least 3600 points total. There are more than 1500 points missing which doesn't include any previous pony balance before 6/1/2020. Where are the missing points? I have submitted several "help tickets" but only get an auto response that has nothing to do with my concern. No phone number to contact for help. This has been going on for years and didn't realize it. I always thought my total point balance never increased after earning them since my total point balance never seemed to increase. But now that all points I have earned since 6/1/20 are not pending and no redemptions made as of 6/1/2020 I now can prove all points are not there.
Hello Marileekd,
I have reviewed this note about missing points on your account. When you spend points, your account balance goes down, this is why you only have 2052 points now.
I hope this helps!
No it doesn't help at all. Did you read what I wrote? I am smart enough to know that when I redeem points for anything that my balance will go down. That was not my issue. My issue was that AFTER my last redemption and those points being deducted i earned more than 3600 points but you only credited me 2052. Can you explain why that is? it is simple math and the points earned from the monthly statement do not add up to my point balance. No points were spent from June until current. You do the math.
OMG! What part of I haven't spent any points since earning more than 3600 do you not understand! Duhhhhh... Like I don't know that when I redeem points my balance will go down. This isn't brain surgery, it is simple math. I am not exactly sure why you can't understand that I earned more than 3600 points AFTER THE LAST REDEMPTION THAT WAS DEDUCTED FROM MY ACCOUNT! THE BALANCE IS LESS THAN WHAT I EARNED SINCE THE POINTS WERE DEDUCTED FROM MY ACCOUNT!
Let me say this a different way and maybe you can understand it. Again, not brain surgery so try to stay with me here...Beginning June 1, 2020 I earned 1123 points. In July 2020 I earned 1641 points. August 2020 I earned 667 points, September 2020 I earned 322 points and in October 2020 I earned 186 points. 1123 + 1641 + 667 + 322 + 186 = 3939. My point balance should be at least 3939! But you show that I only have 2267 points as of 10/23/2020. NO POINTS WERE SPENT from June 1, 2020 to Oct 23, 2020. Lets review... adding up the points I earned form 6/1/2020 until 10/23/2020 is 3939 points. But my account balance as of 10/23/2020 is only 2267. If I earned 3939 points, why is my account balance is only 2267 points? [protected] = 1672 MISSING POINTS! Please explain why my account balance is only 2267! I have given you all the information needed, I even did the math for you. I really hope that this time you will not assume that I did not pass 1st grade and tell me that when I spend points my balance will go down. I was present on the days they taught basic math in school.
Surveys
I have a visual disability, i'm legally blind, and they blocked me from doing surveys because they claim I had been untruthful more than once. That's untrue. If I answered anything wrong it's because I couldn't see it well enough. I've explained this to them and they still are discriminating against me. It is keeping me from earning the weekly points because there are a certain number of surveys I have to complete in order to get them. I get they want honest answers, and that's what i've always given to them.

Hm-m-m-m-m . . . I'm puzzled. Has this been resolved? If not, what type of gift card are you trying to purchase? I don't have a cell phone at all - and I redeemed points for two gift cards last week, both for Amazon. I've also redeemed points for L.L. Bean, Home Depot, and Walmart on that site without needing a cell phone.
Are you, by any chance, mixing My Points up with InboxDollars, which requires a cell phone? Even they have an alternative method.
