Netflix designated survivor

I have been a paying customer to Netflix for many years now, and to be honest, most of the time I feel that it is not worth it. They will put shows and movies that are good and then they will take them away. Not to mention the hundreds of great movies out there that haven't been put on yet... Either way, I digress. Designated Survivor was a refreshingly good show, especially with how they balances out the politics. However, as soon as Netflix took over the third season, I no longer want to watch it. This is very unfortunate because it was such a great show until it was ruined by their need to push the various political agendas and also, I don't see the need to throw the F bomb in a sentence in every scene. Unfortunately this may be the final draw for me when it comes to Netflix. Soon they will be getting rid of the Office and I will be right behind.

Netflix netflix refund policy on fraudulent activity

Having moved from the UK to Australia and switched my Netflix accordingly in February 2018, I looked at my UK bank account a year later to find Netflix was still withdrawing money. I called and questioned this and it turned out to be fraudulent activity - with someone else's name under my card details. As this was the only fraudulent activity on my bank account I decided that simply cancelling this account would suffice, however it was reactivated 4 days later (found out in hindsight) with no trouble - as if the fraud hadn't even been registered in the system!
I looked again at my UK bank account a couple of months later and found that the payments had restarted, so I called my bank to immediately cancel my card and called Netflix. To my astonishment, they acknowledged that the activity was not me, despite being paid for by me, but could only offer me a refund for one month. After being on hold for 40 minutes this was increased to 3 months (£30), far far less than the value of the fraud. Given that I was paying for a service that was recognised twice by Netflix as not being legitimate, I feel this is woefully inadequate and their refund policy needs to be addressed in circumstances such as these.
Having contacted my bank, NatWest, their view is that the breach was in the Netflix system and not theirs, so the responsibility lies with them. Of course, Netflix claim the opposite, so I ended up calling both Netflix and my bank 3 times each before losing all hope of any actual customer service. Terrible - who is actually on my side in this?

Netflix Designated Survivor

My husband and I were looking forward to starting season 3 of Designated Survivor. 15 minutes in, I was like "what is happening here?" I did not remember all this swearing in the first two seasons. Literally every character was swearing right out of the gates, and the f word was used multiple times. I was so confused. I felt like I was watching a different show and different characters. So I googled to see if I had lost my mind. Found so many other reviews that expressed my same confusion and disappointment and read that this season also has sex scenes and often without warning. We turned it off and sadly won't be continuing to watch this show. This was a very poor decision by Netflix. Regardless of morals, you changed the characters that we already knew and loved and you turned it into a different show.

Netflix designated survivor season 3 - no maturity ratings for sex scenes

Season 1 and 2 were great, Season 3 by Netflix is horrible. After increasing use of bad language, they are now featuring sex scenes without adequate viewer warning or rating information. The show rating is M15+ for Strong Course Language with NO maturity rating or warning relating to the explicit sex scenes! This is completely inappropriate, not to mention using the show as their own political propaganda tool, which I'm sure is within their rights but quite frankly has ruined the show for me and many others, and I will no longer watch it. Disgraceful identity politics pedalling.

Netflix netflix

I finished a show called "Jane the Virgin", i noticed that there was no season 5, so i did some reasearch and there is a season 5 just not on netflix. I am really obssessed with this show, and im left on a cliffhanger. I have called and they said you didnt have "time". You add and take things off all the time. Honestly its a waste of money if you dont listen to your customers.

Netflix unauthorized credit card charges

Netflix cancelled my account 3 months ago because it had been hacked and they wanted most of my credit card details to reinstate it (on a hacked account- I don't think so), so they said if I wouldn't give me my c/c details they would have to cancel the account. I said 'No', they said 'your account is cancelled. I have discovered today that since then they have continued to charge me. When I called they said that "whoever hacked your account must have re-activated it" - so if I couldn't re-activate it without giving them my c/c deets then how did someone who doesn't have my c/c deets manage to re-activate my cancelled account? and seriously if someone DID have my c/c deets are they only going to use it to pay my netflix subscription? I don't think so! Now they are refusing to cancel the account or refund the money unless I give them my c/c deets again - yeah right - soooo not going to happen.
From my perspective this company is a bunch of lying, thieving, [censored] artists who have stolen my money or who have such crap security that they have allowed others to steal my money. In addition your customer service staff suck big time

What do we learn from this? Maybe give the customer service rep the information they need in order to fix the issue when you call the first time round. Your card details had always been in their system (although the full card number isn't visible through your account settings), the reason they ask for the number is not to charge you but to verify you're the owner of the account that's calling.

Netflix designated survivor

First two seasons were great. 3rd season was terrible. I don't need to watch political agendas, Hollywood agendas while I am trying to enjoy tv at home on my time off. I may as well watch the nightly news. LGBT is acceptable for some but having Hollywood cram it down our throats is another. Swearing -way to much- doesn't need to be done like that to have a good story, even tho watching a pre election is boring in the first place.
Time to get with it Netflix. Be proud of what are your originals, we don't want to be preached to by people who are way off the wall.

Two couples here tonight happy to begin season 3 of Designated Survivor. My husband and I are in our sixties; other couple, early forties. Halfway through, all four of us are done watching. Can sure tell it is a Netflix show, turned trashy with a political agenda. I just don’t understand. Besides that, it’s like the characters are all schizophrenic and have become unrecognizable. Great shows are intelligent and character driven. I have had it. We are cancelling our Netflix subscription tonight.

You ruined a great program! Designated Survivor was a great show, that everyone could watch, that was not left or right & turned it into a filthy, fouled mouthed program that doves extreme left agendas down our throats. You killed off or just removed most of the good characters & replaced them with filthy mouthed characters that have a chip on their shoulder. It’s not about the betterment of the country, it’s about the far left agendas that are being shoved down the throats of normal Americans. It stinks! You ruined a great show. We can watch the liberal news media on a daily basis & see the same garbage!

I agree at least in part with this comment. I would like to ask Netflix and the writers of Designated Survivor if they feel a tv program has ever lost viewership because people don't think the "F-word" is used frequently enough? The answer is an absolute no, but I guarantee you they have lost viewership because the word IS used--especially when it seems so forced into the dialogue. I actually liked the story line of season 3, but as far as the language and a few other scenes, I feel that Netflix took a wholesome show and turned into trash. The reason I liked this show on network tv is because it showed a strong man with a strong marriage. I understand that there is going to be conflicts in the show and even for President Kirkman's character but I don't think that you have to force 5 to 6 F bombs into every episode nor make it so smutty.

On the positive side, I like the inclusion of the real documentary scenes. One may not agree with the political agenda that may be presented in these videos, but I don't think that it hurts any of us to listen to one another and try to understand the challenges and pain that others are going through.

This comment describes exactly what I feel about Designated Survivor. I loved seasons 1 & 2 but the use of fowl language is turning me (and as I can see on the board) as well as others off. And, I am sure we are not alone. I've noticed that Keifer looks uncomfortable when they start with the F language. Friends feel the same way but can't be bothered to make comments about it. Clean up your act Netflix's! You can do it - produce shows that are wholesome. The world has enough problems without adding more to it.

Netflix movie selections

Really do not want to watch all the gay stuff, nor do I want my kids thinking this is okay. Gay community is small but regardless of this movies do not need all that kind of stuff in them nor do people want to watch it. About 5% of people may want to see this and the other 95% are just stuck watching this in disgust. A good movie always ruined by this. Its like Netflix decided gay scenes needed to be the criteria in their movies or it cant be a Netflix movie.

Netflix was charged incorrectly for prime that comes w/4 screens instead of basic.

When I contacted the Netflix LIVE CHAT team I was very polite and they did not respect that. It seems they want to be mistreated in order to be able to get stuff done. Regardless they did NOT SOLVE MY ISSUE. The response time was VERY SLOW. Not FRIENDLY AT ALL. And I am just left thinking about trying AMAZON PRIME! :) they have low rates for students at $6/month vs the "basic" $9 which (be careful) Don't let them get you like me because then they will NOT WANT TO refund you back for the computer's mistake. Again if you are with them they will DO NOTHING to keep you. Be aware. THey also wasted 2 hours of my time and again no solution I'm deleting them soon.

I cancelled my subscription more than 6 years ago and no longer have access to the email address that was linked to the account. However, you have continued to debit my account each month for the last 6 years! I would like a refund of all payments collected during this time as you can see that the account has not been used, or I will have no alternative than to contact my bank for them to claim this money back

Netflix categories of movies

I would like to make a request. I'm from and live in the United States who speak language of our country which is English. My complaint is I'am so frustrated going through movies which the info is printed in English and then the movie is in foreign language not English. I go through this constantly and waste so much time. I think Netflix should put all foreign languages other then English under another category for non English foreign films. It would be more structured. Thank you.

I loved Designated Survivor seasons 1 and 2. If fact, this series had become my favorite series out of anything I have watched on Netflix. It was refreshing to watch a show that had the ability to keep you on the edge of your seat without needing to throw in trashy sex scenes. I am so disappointed with season 3, and am absolutely disgusted with the gay sex...

Netflix designated survivor season 3

The first two seasons of this series were well-written and entertaining. Netflix has ruined this show with nudity, sex scenes and filthy language. The new campaign director hires gigolos: butt scenes (no, thanks). A new openly gay character can't keep it in his pants: sex scenes (no, thanks - gay or straight - I don't watch porn). Every character drops the F bomb at least 3 times per episode. Aren't these people smart enough to come up with words other than sh-- or f---? In an effort to make this show more "edgy" Netflix only succeeded in making it raunchy and inappropriate. We had to turn it off, and we won't be watching this series again. I hope Netflix will come up with some programming for people who don't choose to use their time watching filth.

Yup, just got to episode 4 of the new season and see that it has really changed its standards. I used to really love it, and now I'm going to quit watching it as it has now become a show trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Yuck.

I completely agree with the above comments. I was only able to watch a few episodes of Season 3, and decided that was enough filth for me. Please consider changing the content back to what we were used to viewing in Seasons 1 and 2 if you make a Season 4. I'm not a fan of what you have done to this show.

Netflix designated survivor

Only 10 episodes in Season 3 !
That's weak sauce yo !
Better not make us wait a year for just 10 more. My evenings have been spent becoming part of the Kirkman Administration. I am glad that Alex Kirkman is no longer with us... (Karen belongs with Hank anyways) ... but please do not let POTUS hook up with Sasha in an effort to push LBGTQ rights. There are other ways to make that happen.
I can't let Netflix take an eraser to my entire agenda.

Netflix tv programing

We watched Designated Survivor when it was on regular TV and looked forward to seeing the saga continue on Netflix. We waited patiently, only to see this show also submit to having a scene with a gay couple. Not only that, it showed them kissing. So, once again, what could have been a good show has been ruined. Also the swearing was extreme. Needless to say, we will not be watching this show again. What a shame.

Netflix designated survivor/lucifer excessive foul language

I don't have the best mouth in the world. I've been around blue color men, and then a house full of teenage boys. I have to watch my mouth at work, in public, etc.
The very first thing I noticed on lucifer was - "wow they sure are squeezing in ways to drop any cuss word they think will fit". Then designated survivor was released -
Omg! Wow! I work for the govt and was absolutely shocked at the cuss words that didn't even belong in some of the sentences. I don't know if they're trying to attract younger cussing crowds by not having the network restrictions placed on them - but even when i'm super "ticked" off, I can't possibly throw that many bad words together - and i've had to start using "frikken" just to stop offending people, and being told numerous times how un-ladylike it was to have a potty mouth... Yet even I was offended at this new trend.
Leave our old shows, and characters alone! We were all so thankful for you to continue them. Now i'm starting to wonder what they're going to do to the return of "stranger things"! I'm hoping since they started the series without crazy language, that they will just continue the show as it was.

Designated Survivor was completely ruined by foul language and overt unnecessary sexuality; ended it in S3 after the half of the third episode.
Stranger Things: We had to work to tolerate it and it was not easy. Way too much completely unnecessary cursing on an otherwise great show! Far too many netflix series are going too far with the language. My axiom for life has been (only recently) "If you have to swear to be noticed or heard, then you most likely had no interesting thing to say in the first place!"

Just because you can include every curse word in the book doesn't mean you need to. Designated Survivor WAS one of my favorite shows and had great stories, great characters, and great drama in Seasons 1 & 2 on ABC. All of that is still true in Season 3, but unfortunately under Netflix's creative control, all of a sudden every character now has a potty mouth. When will Hollywood figure out that entertaining stories can be told without all that trash language? I am one of the vast neglected population of people who don't use that kind of language and would prefer not to hear it. We shouldn't be forced to watch nothing but The Hallmark Channel to avoid it.

Netflix designated survivor season 3

I too am just going to add my feedback regarding the offensive language that has just been added to this season. We don't use this language in our daily lives and we have watched these characters for the last two years as nice, polite people and all of a sudden we have all of them with foul mouths even in their work environment.
Not really sure what you feel you have added to these characters. Love this show but would love to see the swearing removed and make it a family appropriate show again.

I am grossly offended at the explicit s sexual scenes and blatant LGBT agenda. Some of us hold to traditional conservative values and do not appreciate the entertainment industry constantly weaving this agenda in every story line unnecessarily. Designated Survivor, season three has sunk to lucid depth because of the foul language and graphic sexual scenes. I will not be watching future episodes.
