As a mom, I try to find programs I can watch with my children, or at least watch while they are in the same room. When I started watching Designated Survivor, I was pleased with the show. I and they enjoyed watching this program, until Season 3... The foul language used and sex that is shown is unnecessary and irresponsible. The show was great without it!

movie “rim of the world”
So I put on Netflix to watch a movie with my 11 year old son. We watched the preview and thought it would be a cool movie to see. Well I was completely in awe of the content. You have children cussing and talking about a aliens dick in his mouth! How incredibly inappropriate and sad that Netflix thinks it has to resort to vulgar language and sexual innuendos to reach its customers. This WOULD HAVE BEEN a great show for children the director and producers need to pull their heads out of their 4th point of contact and grow up. I have been around the world multiple times fighting for my country and helping to make the world just a little better by changing 1 or hopefully more persons lives. The world is changing for the worse and you could make one show that would be positive. I hope your children are not exposed to the nastiness of the world. Bad things happen in this world...but nasty/vulgar things can be stopped. As much as kids watch TV and Do the right thing a little cussing happens especially with adults..but children should not be talking like adults...because if they see other kids doing it then they believe it's ok and perceived that it would come across to others as funny. movies. I am not canceling my account with you because my wife and I enjoy some of the movies ..Netflix, you can do much better. I dare you to step up and do better.

Netflix took a great show and turned it into a filthy, crude and offensive series for Season 3. We couldn't wait for the series to return -- loved all of the actors. However, it became apparent from the first episode that the Hollywood sewer had polluted what could have been a fantastic Season 3. Watching two gay black men go at it in Episode 4 was the last...

I am joining the many complaints about the offensive language and nudity in the Netflix version of Designated Survivor. My husband and I very much enjoyed the show before, but the foul language is a huge turn off and is upsetting enough to make us likely not watch the rest of the season. So disappointed. This just is not necessary. There are ways to create emphasis without letting f bombs fly so frequently.
my little pony
I stopped watching once upon a Time due to integration of homosexuality... Now it seems to be populating everywhere on Netflix... My little pony integrating homosexuality into the shows... Fuller house... Anne with an E... NETFLIX I see who you support but I cannot let my kids or family be subjected to this anymore... I cannot tell anyone what to believe in or how to live but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord and will have to say bye Netflix after having your services for over 5 years.

I would like to say how disappointing it was to watch 10 minutes of the new Season of Designated Survivor and have to hear the f bomb at least twice along with several other curse words. Why is it that Netflix shows have to be full of cursing? They are a lot of people who do not care to hear that type of language. The English language has a broad vocabulary to choose from... It is shameful that the writers are not intelligent enough to write a story line without all of the horrible language. There are several shows on Netflix like this, that we just refuse to watch because of language. Netflix needs to evaluate this.. You are losing a large audience due to the foul language that you apparently think make a TV show! It doesn't!
programming
After watching 3 or 4 episodes of Designated Survivor season 3, it became obvious to my wife and I that Netflix is becoming a political propagandist.
We cannot think of one liberal/progressive cause that they have not shown support for in what is supposed to be a mediuim for escape.
Shame on Netflix. If I was not punishing myself, I would end my relationship with NetFlix over this. If it keeps up, I will probably do just that. I definitely will not watch any more of Designated Survivor.
I hope Netflix atones and starts focusing on entertainment and stays out of politics. They must think their customers are blind idiots to not see what they are attempting to do.

Just wanting to add my voice to many before me. My family and I were a huge fan of Designated Survivor Seasons 1 and 2. We were stoked when we saw season 3 had been released by Netflix. But not even 10 min into episode one you hear multiple swear words and a full on sex scene. We are so disappointed. We loved this show because it was a good clean show we could enjoy as a family which is very rare on tv today. Why did you feel it necessary to turn it into this trash. Come on Netflix. Give us some good tv for a change.
You just described the scene in our household too!

Just started watching season three of Designated Survivor. We enjoyed the first two seasons and were looking forward to more great acting/writing. We can't believe the foul language and sex that the writers now think is necessary to sell this show. After three episodes we decided we've had enough. Seriously who decided to mess with what was obviously working? If it's not broke don't fix it!

Designated Survivor has become nothing but a trashy show. I will no longer be watching it. I think the foul language is terrible and i dont need to be watching filthy bedroom scenes. So i hope this show is cancelled. From everyone i've talked to about it they have said and felt the same as i do. So sad. Really liked it when it was on regular TV. But despise it now. Trashy show. Cancel please.

What in the world have you done with a very good show. The language and sex scenes that I am now paying for are intolerable. You have turned a fairly wholesome TV show into trash with the F bomb and GD words being used throughout the show. The wholesome people of this world will not watch this show. I hope you will turn it back into what it was before on network TV.
Designated Survivor Season 3 is absurd in its artificially inserted and ramped up foul language and blatant sexuality. Will stop watching this great show I enjoyed effective immediately. It’s ruined. Who would talk like that in a professional setting, much less in government. If they do, I don’t want to hear it. Absurd and degrading.
designated survivor season 3
So disappointed!season 1 and 2 were great!good and clean.season 3 turned onto completely different show.cant count how many times the F bomb was used including the president.also the president daughter cursing.how tacky!and a pornographic scene with 2 men.what the heck.cant get that image out of my head.not only are we going to stop the show we are cancelling our subscription to netflix.its getting harder and harder to find good clean shows to watch.when y'all consider catering to people that don't want to watch a bunch of crap on TV then we will reconsider.wont hold my breath

I sat down to watch the first episode of season 3 last night and was absolutely appalled and disgusted with the foul language now rife throughout this show. We were really looking forward to season 3 but you have turned this family friendly show into something I will never watch again. The language is completely unnecessary, out of place and highly offensive. For goodness sake even Kirkman's daughter (who I imagine is about 12 at the oldest) is swearing! Whatever writer thought this was in any way appropriate needs to really look again. Disgusted. Will not be watching it again and will be telling all my friends to avoid it too. Well done Nextflix on ruining a really good show.
designated survivor season 3
I am so disappointed in Season 3 of Designated Survivor. Seasons 1 and 2 were fairly clean and had a compelling storyline. Season 3 has so much language and sex scenes. The characters that were previously respected now seem to have a harshness and dirty mouth. I can't even finish the first episode, and I'm certainly not allowing my children to watch it. There was no reason to add these elements!
designated survivor season 3
You ruined it. The first two seasons were stupendous. I had to shut off the first episode of Season 3. You made it trashy. And using the F bomb like three times in the first half of the first episode! Really? What a tremendous disappointment. You even had the president's little girl curse. What a heart break. I can't stand to watch it now. 😔 What were you all thinking?
designated survivor... a former winner
I am complaining about the raw sexual immorality, offensive language, and cheap nudity going on in your new, and improved version of Designated Survivor.
Before I do that, guys, come on, you had a winner!A clean, constructive show...
I can see how you are trying to use the show to help with what is wrong with our current and past administrations, our government, ourselves as a nation, and how you are using this platform to advocate for minorities such as Latinos. Kudos.
Who am I to complain about immorality? Nobody. Not even a religious advocate. I am especially offended by two naked men in bed one pumping the other in the rear in no uncertain terms.
You should worry however about God if He is real. But fear not, maybe the Bible is just another book and God does not communicate or does not exist. In such case, please delete this email. God will let you truck on...
I respectfully submit to you a super brief Bible passage...go ahead, read it it is short. Delete as necessary. Thanks for reading this, and do us all a favor in this Godly Nation...cancel the show as I am about to cancel my subscription. My email is [protected]@gmail.com
ROMANS 1:24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other's bodies. 25They traded the truth about God for a lie.
27And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.
28Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.
I agree wholeheartedly!

I want to express my extreme disappointment with Season 3 of Designated Survivor.
This was such a great show, and Netflix has taken it to the gutter.
It is such a shame how Netflix writers have taken this show from the great show it was, to a show filled with unnecessary language, offensive story line, and explicit sex.
Can't we just stick with good, clean programs...
designated survivor
I couldn't wait to start season 3 of Designated Survivor and was so disappointed in the changes Netflix decided to make. I loved the show for the fact that it didn't include gratuitous sex scenes or highlight immoral plot lines. Three episodes in and there was totally unnecessary cussing, a sex scene and two different instances of infidelity. So frustrated and bummed that we won't be able to watch this show anymore. I was looking forward to it.
shows
I wish netflix shows or movies like "you" didn't have so much and so graphic sex scenes. They add nothing to the story it just makes it raunchy and more grotesque. I understand sex is how I got here but they didn't film it and put it in a show and try to call it art. And there's shows where there's kids doing it. It's just getting out of control and getting to be too much.
original series, designated survivor
I would like to express my extreme disappointment in season 3 of designated survivor after netflix took over! The amount of cussing and swearing is uncalled for and distracts from the story line! My family and I were thrilled to hear that netflix was continuing the series and anxiously awaited the premier. We are so disgusted with the first episode, that we will no longer be watching! That is saying a lot, considering it was one of our favorite shows. My prediction is that others will agree, considering the response i've seen on facebook. Congrats, netflix! You took a suspenseful, family-friendly show and ruined it!
I agree the new version is awful.
