Ocwen Insurance payment

I have read all the complaints from Ocwen customers and I am just as upset over their tactics as I am. I received a check from my insurance company with Ocwen name on it with mine. Ocwen is asking me to send the check to them and they will send money back to me in increments. I would rather send this check back to the insurance company before I allow them to make me jump through hoops for them, like they have had others, and are asking me to do. I will get in touch with the Insurance Administrator to see if he can help me get another check in my own name. I'm also contacting BBB. I also blame my insurance company. It is the homeowners that pays the insurance and it is our names on the insurance policy, not Ocwen.

Ocwen Unethical and Shoddy Business Practices

For 2 years my husband & I have been dealing w/this mortgage co. Payments were made online to this comp who claims we did not have an acct set up online therefore pyments were not received which resulted in our being in default. Applied for loan modification w/fixed interest. Have honestly attempted to resolve issue to no avail. Continue to complete/submit same forms/documents multiple times only to be told they either expire by the w/time they receive them, some have been misplaced. This process has been never-ending. We've been inundated ltrs of default as well as notices of foreclosure. We want to make our payments but are told they will not accept payments as our file is "in review." This fiasco started over 2 years ago w/Ocwen who received transferred our file to Freedom & now we're being told we have to re-submit the same forms/documents we've already submitted--this includes a hardship letter which we've written & submitted three times. Due to their delay in working w/us they've added late fees as well as deferred interest. I've filed complaints w/the State Attorney General's Office, the CFPB, the Consumer Advocates Office against this company but nothing is being done to help us resolve this. It's a nightmare that doesn't seem to end. I've sought help from the Mortgage Hotline website as well as other agencies. Isn't there SOMEONE/ANYONE who can investigate this company and help us resolve this matter? Freedom gives us the name of a rep to contact but that contact name keeps changing & it's extremely difficult to actually speak w/someone who can provide us with answers. I have stacks of letters from Ocwen/Freedom as well as notices of foreclosure. To be clear, we want to get back on track w/our payments but don't know what those payments are since Freedom states they are still reviewing our file. I have proof of every bit of documentation exchanged by Ocwen as well as two other agencies who claimed they could assist us but failed to succeed--D.G. Weber and Asso as well as Shore View Financial; both of whom requested a fee upfront for their assistance. After informing both of these agencies that we no longer wanted their assistance we were refunded our money from Shore View but lost over $3K with D. G. Weber. This nightmare is costing us more than our life savings. It's hurt our credit rating and is costing us not only our sanity but our physical health. My husband is a 22-year Air Force veteran who originally applied and was approved for a VA loan only to have to sold to one mortgage company after another. Is there any advice, suggestions, names (state or government) that can offer assistance before we lose our home?

Ocwen mrtg ripoff

ocwen loan servicing inc. has screwed us for the last time... i just found out yesterday that for some unknown reason they have kept my 2015 and 2016 mrtg pymts made in a "suspense" acct and cannot even answer why my pymts have not been applied to our acut they say they will "investigate" well we know how that goes.. i decided to do some investigation of ocwen on my own... in 2012 the were sued and found guilty of numerous loan practices, the list can be found at cfpb website also they are being monitored per the suit by this co and states attorney generals.. you can read all at "consumerfinance.gov... you can also file complaints re; ocwen with them by phone or online.. they are supposed to report complaints to the courts...so please file your complaints... also like us if you live in other states notify your news stations to do a story ... this co is all over the web re; illegal mrtg practices and it has to stop...we are not going to let this continue anymore you should not either.. my email is [protected]@gmail.com... please go public file complaints with the ftc and the cfpb.. they will take it seriously...on 1 website alone there were over 42, 000 complaints "consumer affairs.com and this is just one web site. i will be doing my homework to get this publicly to ours news and attorney generals office and cfsb.. please do the same ocwen has to be stopped from this illegal activity once and for all... and if you think homeowners do not have the power " remember it took only a monica lewinsky to bring down a president... evil can only exist if no one does anything about it...also file complaints with your local senators and congress people they will listen if they are shown the enourmousy of what ocwen is doing illegally to their own voters... quit complaining and lets all get together and teach them a lesson in "justice""

Ocwen Refund of escrow

Hi my name is Tina Dellinger
my aunt passed away oct 28 2015. I then paid the mortgage off with my money. Out of my bank account. 4 people signed papers stating a vested interest in the property. when a foreclosure was in process their attorney sent papers to Kay Ann Sleeger, Gloria Seitz, Candy Seitz, Larry Dellinger and Tina Dellinger so the loss would have went on all of our credit. As of this point Gloria passed in 2004 car accident, , Candy in 2014 of overdose, Kay 2015 heart failure. My dad william seitz jan 2016 was murdered. so the escrow dept owes me $681.00 and $77.00 from an over-payment.. They are refusing to refund the monies by transfer back to my account..Also refusing to issue the checks in my name.. Why should i have to pay for a court order to get the money back or have to pay inheritance tax on money that is legally mine...[protected] n Susquehanna trail york pa 17406

Ocwen mortgage

I have been an excellent customer, paying my mortgage promptly for 15 years. I have repeatedly asked for a modification and was denied request because i was not late with payments. Finally became late because of chronic illness. Submitted and resubmitted papers, spoke for months with your reps and was now denied because my income had dropped. This was the point in the modification in first place. I am getting nowhere with your company. Ocwen calls my home and hangs up when i pick up the phone.
This is unacceptable behavior and business practice. You are throwing a person who is completely alone and ill in the street.

When i have sent payments, they now send them back.

I demand a full modification and the arrears be put into the back end of mortgage.

Ocwen mortgage

Hi.. I have 2 properties and both mortgages were sold to Ocwen over the last 4 years. This is the worst company ever! they do not process payments correctly, however, their errors are always in their favor. I work in Accounting and yet, have trouble figuring out what they do with my payments! I contact them at least twice a month for various mistakes they make. They are out to rip off the customers in any way they can! they show taxes paid that they did not pay; they paid in Insurance 3 times and so far have only refunded my account once... in spite of repeated phone calls on my part! To say I hate this company is an understatement... I want to clear the records in order to refinance somewhere else.. if not, I know they will get paid in full for whatever payoff they submit and will get to steal my hard earned money. I have had several mortgages with different companies in the past and never had I encountered such a dishonest, screwed up company. I hate Ocwen

Ocwen signing me up for total protect service plan - opt service charge

My home mortgage is now with OCWEN, (probably the 4th company who has bought the paper over the years). I am not late on my mortgage nor have I been. I noticed this charge on my statement in April but did nothing about it. I thought the charge was for my flood insurance because of the way it was written. About June I started to make inquiries about this charge actually was. It was only $37.95 so I wasn't really paying attention till my mortgage jumped to an extra $200 a month. So in July I got a hold of someone from OCWEN about this charge but they were not involved with this third party company and gave me a number to call. I would call on and off but leave a message but no return call. Finally I got a live person after being put on hold sent to another dept. Cycling through operators. Then it dawned on me this is a scam company so typical how they handle problem calls hoping you will give up in frustration. Finally talked to a guy “Chuck”, I asked what this service Total HOME PROTECT was for and how I got enrolled in this program? He told me that it was for warranty on my home equipment and I had signed a card and sent it in to them. I knew that was a blatant lie! I had just remodeled my duplex and had no need for any extra warranties. Second reason is that I was scammed by a car warranty company in the past and knew how these programs worked. He couldn't do anything until it was researched and they would produce my signature card, it would come by mail in the next 2 weeks. 2 weeks had come and gone still no word on my refund. They did stop the service by Aug. That was not enough I wanted my money back which is $265.00. I would call never anybody in the dept. Needed to talk with. At the end of my patience I called OCWEN and after much ado I got someone to call HOME PROTECT on the special number. It went through, she left me with an operator with the THP, and the whole cycle of going from desk to desk lasted over 45 min, till the famed “leave a message”. At each dept head I would ask information about the company, they didn't know or were not allowed to answer. I got them rather flustered. So I called OCWEN back got a supervisor and explained they were as much apart of this situation since they collected the money and sold them my name in the first place. So are odyssey began. She tried to hand me over to an operator and I would say NO we wait till the person comes on the phone. We went through about 5 “DEPARTMENTS”, each time I have to tell them details blah, blah, blah. Leave a message someone will get back with me, they were just on another line. I was adamant to wait and that went for the OM supervisor too. This went on for over 90 min. Once all parties realized -I was not going away. Also over whelmed about the questions I was asking about the company with an Ocwen supervisor on the phone too, suddenly a supervisor became available. But, of course not in accounting dept. Edward, listen to my complaint, trying to shuffle me off with “I have do research into the issue”, before a refund could be issued. Spending 30 -40 additional minutes with me, making him nervous with my questions about the company, several times putting me on hold, and more attempts on his part to do the circle dance, he finally got it. I was not a person to be trifled with. So he had to call Florida where the main office was and call me back. He did do that. He told me that he fixed it, so that a check would be sent to me. I asked how long and he said it would be at least a week with the accounting and then it could be up to six weeks. That was 8/6/15. Very nice gave me his personal ext to call him back if a problem would arise. (never is he in his office only –Leave A message) 8/10/15 I got a letter saying the checks in the mail or will be shortly. Including a number to call, I have been calling that number – “leave a message” they would get back in the next 24 -72 hours. I got a call back with a number and EXT to call but, I have never got a live person. About a week ago, a live person but not in the actual DEPT needed, they told me they had sent a check and it had been cashed. Of course that leads to researching files, and they would have to get back with me. The date he mentioned was the letter date. It has been really frustrating because they are telling me lies! I think that OCWEN and Total Home Protect, both from FLA. Have some type of financial tie. They have several names. It is at the of Oct 2015 and still no check and have talked to someone in accounts receivable and of course going to call back but never have. Every Number I have is for a voice recording. If they were a legit company in the first place I would have received some type of papers telling me what the service plan covered how to make a claim etc etc. That never happened. I think that Ocwen is selling my name and info and signing me and others up illegally! Thank you for your consideration

Ocwen payments not received, foreclosure threats, not keeping appt's. to discuss, changing pymts balance every other day.

Ocwen gives different contact every time I call. Every different contact gives different balances, different story. Threatening foreclosure with no time to respond. We had a house fire the same week as diagnosed with Cancer. We lost a lot of important papers, mortgage file most importantly. We barley received enough insurance money to get the minimum rebuilt. All the while going through ceimo, and radiation therapy. We never thought ocwen would try to foreclose on us at the very worst time in our lives. Never ! We made our pymts, sometimes late do to extream hardships but Always Called them. Always. Then came the confusion, no one would give us a specific person to talk with. The seem to try even harder to make it impossible to stay on top, and the stress was more than you could imagine. Now one year later after rebuilding our house(not totally done but close) ocwen is not sending our monthly statements. (6mos.) Just received a letter of intent to foreclose. Also assingend collections notice. They say this is Not an attempt to collect money for past due pymts, but solely the attempt to foreclose. Please contact me by phone if possible as I am not well and speaking to a real person would give me sometime to discuss and understand what I'm up against. I don't want to loose my home after all I've gone through and continuing to go through with my cancer.360 691_1441 Stephanie and Brandon Hass.

I just got scammed through Ocwen LOAN Servicing. A relationship management called asking me to make my last month payment which was late. I paid $1, 450 to them. I then called back within 2 hours to just check on my payment and a different relationship management took my call and said they did not receive any money. They said, there was nobody by the name of Jeffery Hamilton in the relationship management at Ocwen LOAN Servicing. I'm very very upset. I asked Jeffery Hamilton for the private information on my house that only Ocwen LOAN Servicing would know. He knew everything which made me trust him but then when I called Ocwen LOAN Servicing they had no record of a Jeffery Hamilton nor my money $1450.00. They acted like they didn't give a ###. I said how the hell can someone have all my private information on me. It has to be a inside job. I immediately called 911 and filed a police report.

Is there any course of action available to me preventing this from happening? From what I read I'm going from a terrible Mortgage servicing company to completely undesirable and mismanaged servicer. Whatever info you can provide me with will be appreciated.

Ocwen servicing failures & mistreatment

OCWEN has failed to properly service my loan from the time they took over servicing from MSDW in 2012. From day ONE they have had problems and have failed to acknowledge the errors in a timely manner. They have falsely applied charges to my account and have not properly adjusted the balance once the errors were discovered. Due to so many errors and the inconsistency between statements, payoff requests, 1099's and transaction histories, it appears to me that they are operating from multiple sets of books, or it is complete incompetence.

I have tried to reach this bank regarding their property at 31 Deidre Drive that has been in foreclosure for over 5 years, they are not maintaining the property and when you try to call them for information they do the transfer run-around. We as neighbors would like to know their plans for this property.

Ocwen their refusal to property title mortgage as a trust

This is my second complaint in four months regarding Ocwen Mortgage’s mishandling of the above referenced mortgage/property.
When my mom passed on 11/11/2006, not only did I become the (instant) Trustee of the above-referenced property formerly serviced by National City, who the original mortgagee for my mother and subsequently PNC, but I also inherited the property directly.
My initial letter to Ocwen back on 1/12/2012 was simply to get them to update their records, which did not happen without DRE’s invention, this year, 2014. However, even after well over 2 years of calling and letter writing, and DRE’s intervention, I continue to experience nothing but grief from this totally incompetent mortgagor.
The short and long of it, is that only after I filed a complaint with DRE in April 2014, and DRE got involved, did Ocwen finally acknowledge and add me as authorized to discuss and handle all aspects of this mortgage. However, although they did allegedly update the information; nevertheless, they still continue to incorrectly and arbitrarily show it as the Estate of Leola Silas Scott, instead of the correct title of The Leola Silas Scott Living Trust and have summarily refused to change it, in spite of all valid documentation in the form of a 72-Page Trust. Their negligent mishandling of this mortgage, through and including this date 8/13/2014, has NOT ceased.
After the complaint was filed and I was finally able to send the insurance check for over $72K to them, which they had previously refused to accept, as it pertained to the fire on the property on 10/29/13, they now refuse to send it back in the correct name, but also said they will not state this in writing.
On 6/30 – I sent the attached letter via fax to [protected] to the attention of Ocwen staff Kristi Flippin who initially called me about the check, for further handling. I have confirmation of receipt:
In short, the letter was basically letting her (Ms. Flippin) know that although I did finally receive a check on June 17, 2014, that I was and still am unable to deposit it into the Trust account established in 2005 because Ocwen added Estate of Leola Silas Scott on the check, which needs to be correctly changed to the Leola Silas Scott Living Trust. I also requested that they change the mortgage statement and all other appropriate documents, too.
Once again, I explained that my mother’s property was NOT probated, but left through a trust, of which they are NOW clearly aware of, but for reasons unknown to me, they have refused to change and reissue the check. See the attached Letter to Ms. Flippin.
I have not heard back from her directly or in writing, but I have received a couple of calls from other Ocwen staff, after each letter that I have sent, simply placating; including someone name Mike who said that he is an inspector and told me that someone should have told me not to expect a check until after the property was inspected by them, which was obviously not true. I told him that this was not true because although incorrect, that I did finally receive a check, but once again explained that it was not valid and that the property is in a trust and not an estate. He said that he would call me back, but never did.
From June 18 through June 27, 2014
I went to the bank (Wells Fargo) on four separate occasions and also called a couple times regarding the deposit of the check. I have dealt with since 1986 and they emphatically stated that the check needs to be changed to reflect the fact that it is a trust account and that they will not cash the check as is with the word Estate on it. I have also asked them (Wells Fargo) for a letter stating the same.
Even after again notifying Ocwen of the situation with the bank, I then received a call and had the following conversation with one of the staff members who said that he was from the Insurance Loss Department. The gist of the conversation was as follows:
Conversation with Ocwen staff on August 6, 2014
On August 6, 2014, at approximately 11:10 am, I received a call from a person who said his name was John. He said that he was calling from Ocwen’s Insurance Loss Department and that he was calling about the property loss and to let me know the decision of the highest department of Ocwen.
He then stated that he had just received information from the highest department at Ocwen and that they had sent him notice that they had decided that no changes/revisions, or replacement check will be sent and that everything will remain in The Estate of Leola Silas Scott.
After a lot of other gibberish, he then said that the only thing that he could suggest was: “Go open up an account at another bank and title it The Estate of Leola Scott and deposit the check into that account.”
Almost in shock, I said: “So what documents do you suggest, that clearly do not now exist, do you feel I can use in order for me to open this suggested new account with?” It went silent on the other end of the phone. I then said “exactly!” “None exists other than the ones that your company has obviously decided to make up.” I told him that I would NOT do this and again asked that they correctly change the information and reissue a check. He said no.
I stated that they could not just summarily decide that something was an Estate and not a Trust and that all documentation provided to them says what it is, which is a Trust. I tried for a second to explain the difference and he said, “I really don’t know or understand what the difference is” and again stated that he was informed that they will not change it. I then asked him to send me this decision in writing. He said he, “no, ” and that he couldn't’t. He also said that all of the information sent to him, states that they will not change the check or the information on file and that was that.
At that point, I told him that I sent them a check for over $72, 000+ dollars sent to me from my insurance company and that it did NOT have any reference to my mom, but that they decided, in spite of ALL proof, that it didn’t matter what the initial check from State Farm Insurance had on it, or what the bank told me. I then stated that they, “Ocwen”, have put me in a NEGATIVE position, including not getting my property remodeled, even after 10 months of waiting, and that they consequently their refusal to send me a corrected check, also has not allowed me to receive appropriate rent and that this will eventually also unjustifiably force me into foreclosure.
End of conversation.
I am at my wits end and clearly need further help with getting this resolved.
Please help me.

Carolyn Silas-Sams

Ocwen incompetence and lack of honesty

My loan was sold to Ocwen, which is not a mortgage company but a debt collecting agency. I never had a problem until this March when I received an Escrow Analysis Statement, dated March 6, 2014, showing a shortage of $308.05. I mailed the shortage on April 1 in order to keep my mortgage payment of 1473.08 the same. For April, I made the usual payment. In mid-April, I received a "short-year history statement" indicating that my monthly payment would be $1520.32, $47.24 higher. I thought perhaps the shortage payment hadn't been yet applied.
A few days later I received my May statement which showed that $308.05 was applied to a "suspense payment" so on 4/24 I called about it. I spoke with a representative, "Kumar" (who did not have English as his primary language), and he insinuated that I had sent the shortage payment to the wrong office and no one knew what to do with it. I explained that on the check I had written the loan number and that it was for escrow in addition to sending the check with the coupon from the analysis statement. "Kumar" then said he would reverse the "suspense payment" and post it to the escrow account.
When the June statement came, it showed that the escrow payment had not been applied, and that my payment was increased. On 6/18, I called and spoke to "Sayid" who said that the escrow payment had been reversed from the "suspense account" and applied. I said it had not, according to the statement I received, and I wanted something done about it. "Sayid" said a new escrow analysis would be created to show the adjusted lower payment, and that it would take 5 business days to do so. He said my July payment due was $1494.65, but could not explain why it was still $21.57 more. Indicating that the service was not acceptable, I asked for someone to call me with an explanation. After this call, I was flooded with calls from Customer Service, On 6/20, a rep. called me (name unknown) and asked what he could do for me, and I clearly explained AGAIN about the unapplied escrow payment and told him to fix it. He told me to call on Monday the 23rd because a new analysis would be done by then and I would have an answer.
Then on June 23 a rep called asking again how I could be helped. With the 6/23 call the rep said the payment was $1494.65, but didn't know why. I then suggested to reverse out the escrow payment and apply it to the principal, but he didn't know if that could be done. I said if someone was able to apply the payment to the wrong account, then someone can reverse it out. On 6/24 yet another rep called and I said to talk to all the others who were supposedly "helping" already, and to not call me until there was a solution. I decided to call on 6/25, and spoke to "Caroline" who assured me that a new analysis was requested on 6/24 and it would take 5 working days to send the letter/statement.
As of 7/21, no new analysis was received. I called again and spoke to "Akshay", and had to tell the entire story over AGAIN. He informed me that now there was an $800 shortage in the escrow account (an additional $500 to the original shortage), but could not explain why. I informed him that my taxes and insurance could not possibly go up that much, especially in California. I emphatically demanded to speak to a supervisor who clearly spoke English and wasn't an offshore person. "Akshay" said a supervisor wouldn't be able to give an explanation. At that point I decided to start filing complaints with various agencies, and to refinance my mortgage.
I gave authorization for my husband to access account information, so he called the next day, speaking to "Vikram, " and trying to get an explanation. Again, the same song and dance was done. "Vikram" said an analysis would be done and sent to our email address in three days, and a "payment distribution detail" report in 15 days. On July 30, I received only a payment transaction history that ended in March of this year. The cover letter said "We trust the information provided has fully addressed your concern." Since it did not, I am going to try getting through to the "Research Department" at a completely different phone number.
This company should have its business license taken away.

Hello Michelle,

We have actually successfully dealt with this exact situation in our office just as you have stated above and we WON! Our client came in with the exact same situation as you have stated but with an enormous escrow shortage warranting a $300 per month increase in her escrow or 3 times the current amount, which is not legal or ethical...Ocwen is the worst! While I am sorry for the abuse that you have suffered at the hands of Ocwen, it is not at all surprising as we are dealing with Ocwen in our office on a daily basis for many, many clients that have experienced the exact same issues that you have stated in your valid complaint. Can I say that there are multiple consumer rights violations under Federal law that I found in your complaints and I am on a mission to educate consumers on their consumer rights!

I routinely look for posts to answer in hopes that it will not only bring optimism to those homeowners and borrowers in distress but also some basic information to assist in fighting the banks like Citi, Bank of America, Chase and Wells Fargo that are "too big to fail" but yet don't appreciate the bailout that we provided in their time of need. The debt collectors like ASC, SPS, SLS, GreenTree, Bayview, Caliber, Ocwen and Nationstar are simply just ### but they can be beat at their own game too just like the big banks can be defeated.

It pains me that you have fallen victim to the illegal, unfair, deceptive and abusive practices of Ocwen but I commend you for seeking help; too often homeowners do not fight for their consumer and constitutional rights! With that said, you have overlooked a key aspect to your fight, which is putting it in writing, along with your escrow statements for taxes and insurance, in the form of a proper QWR; you do have rights and I would be more than happy to educate you as to how to fight for your rights. My firm routinely seeks out complaints online so that we can educate as to how to fight back on our weekday show called "The Daily Complaint" where we review a complaint and how to tackle it successfully.

We reviewed your complaint on the show today if you would like to listen, visit www.TheDailyComplaint.com.

Let me first point out that Ocwen has violated your rights under the "No Surprises" section of the CFPB's new mortgage servicing rules as afforded you under the CFPB and Dodd-Frank. Ocwen has also violated a plethora of other Federal consumer protection laws afforded you under the FDCPA, CFPB and Dodd-Frank to include the “no runarounds” mandate implemented this year on January 10, 2014. Here is a link to the CFPB's new mortgage servicing rules http://www.consumerfinance.gov/newsroom/consumer-financial-protection-bureau-rules-establish-strong-protections-for-homeowners-facing-foreclosure/

In the event you have further questions, you can contact me via email at Dana@ConsultingEND.com or via the website at www.ConsultingEND.com or via phone (my full contact information is below) as I would be more than happy to contact Ocwen on your behalf to determine the status of your loan as well as what options exist for you as a borrower/homeowner...free of charge to you!

END Consulting is a full service strategic debt and credit consulting firm started in 2006 with expertise is debt negotiations coupled with an exceptional track record of strategic consulting to include the real estate industry with a formidable business foundation. We have successfully assisted well over 100 clients in the past year alone in achieving desired results with regards to their mortgage loan(s) by stripping down the validity of the debt and forcing the lender or servicer to work with our clients to provide ethical, legal and affordable mortgage workout solutions. The results that we negotiated for our clients were not on the table for most when we took on the client as it took regulatory muscle and aggressive communication to achieve the desired debt restructuring resolutions.

I would be happy to elaborate for anyone reading this as we always offer FREE consultation until we can determine if we can assist you to include contacting the bank and/or servicer for you for FREE to uncover the options that exist for you in this situation. You can reach me via email at Dana@ConsultingEND.com or via the web at www.ConsultingEND.com. I have had the pleasure of educating hundreds of homeowners on their rights and how to assert them to get what they want...my firm is exceptional at what we do!

Ocwen worst ever!

Ocwen mortgage is the most ridiculous shameful company out there. These guys have outsourced their entire operations to India, where the poor employees there are not allowed to make any decisions and cannot deviate from their script. No decisions, nothing gets done. Meanwhile stateside, these guys are buying up mortgage pools and then dicking around with people. They just keep pushing until people have to go to court. They know full well that the additional fees (raised rates, penalties) that they force on people will get collected at a greater rate than they will have to pay out or settle in court with people. Now they are putting in refi contracts that you are not allowed to disparage them in any way! What a bunch of jokers. The only ones with power to stop them is the government.

Did a settlement offer on September 1, 2014, that Ocwen offered to me. It took 30 days to get approved (Oct 2, 2014). Now they are saying another 2-3 weeks to generate the paperwork for me to review and wire the payment. Everyone says I'm sorry it's taking this long. You can't speak to anyone to get it resolved.

I hope someone from Ocwen sees this if so call me and tell me why I was told I would have the paperwork by the end of business 5 days ago and still no paperwork with having to wait 2-3 weeks.

Ocwen lies and inaction

Last March 2013, I contacted my mortgage to start the
deed-in-lieu process. Ocwen stated at that time they would assist in in the
process. Over the next few months, I completed and the paper work they
instructed me to and sent in a total of 3 times. Both in fax and email – I have
the confirmations. They lost twice – they stated.

I was promised in August 2013, that all was complete – I
needed to vacate the property. Which I did.

All was not complete – I was told in December 2013, all
was complete and that I would be receiving paperwork shortly. Nothing.

March 2014, I was finally given a packet to sign with a
notary and return to the lawyers – in 14 days – all would be complete. I did in
one day.

They lost the packet twice – the lawyer didn’t return it –
they wanted to resend me a 4th time the packet and start the process
over again. I asked that they read my case – as I always have asked in all the
calls. Oh yes, we have it here – just waiting for one more paper, or an
approval letter, or the inspection….

In the meantime,
after following their direction and doing everything they asked –

I have now a
garnishment against me from the property for back association dues – I am
losing sleep from the lies and uncertainty. They are send letters to my work
and calling. I had to go to court. I believed these people and they have lied
or refused to do anything for 15 months now.

This is ruining my life. I was actually diagnosed with
High blood pressure for the first time in my life, I believe as a result of
this mess.

On June 6, 2014 I was promised official resolution from
Atul Sharma (he promised and spelled his name for me on their recorded line) in
the next 14 days.

As of today –

Nothing has been
changed or recorded at the county. I have had a total of 29 calls on this
matter with Ocwen – the 30th will be tomorrow at 1030 a.m. They also
call me to collect a debt – when I ask them to read the notes in their system,
they apologize and hang up. I am at a loss and need your help on the matter.

I have been lied to and incurred additional debt due to
their tactics and dishonesty. Please help me.

Ocwen not submitting homeowner insurance premium

Since my mortgage was sold by litton loan to ocwen financial, I have encountered 3 instances where ocwen failed to submit premium payments for the homeowner insurance on my home. The standard excuse being that they did not have current address information to submit the premium. I made sure that everything was up to date on both ends, at the mortgage company and the insurance company. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The second time it happened, everything was as it should be but ocwen just did not send in the premium. Addresses and everything were available and correct. We were able to get them to pay the premium in time to prevent cancellation of insurance. This time however, they did not submit the premium and then dragged their feet so long about paying the premium that my coverage lapsed and I had to go to another insurance company to obtain coverage. Now, they won't submit the premium without my authorization for the change of information provided by my insurance agent. When I contact them to authorize the changes, they want my agent to call them back and they won't submit the premium until they hear from the agent with same information that has been provided. Each time they failed to remit a premium, they notified me that their records indicated that I did not have homeowner insurance on my property and that they were purchasing a policy on my behalf for which I would be billed for the premiums. This company is a waste and in my opinion they cross the line into intentional fraud. Their customer service is the pits. The people who answer the phones are unintelligible and have only one script to read. If you ask them anything else they leave for a moment and then come back and read the same script again. I have had mortgages several times previously and this one is by far the worst. If I can find a way to get away from them, I am gone! Downside is how to find a 'good' mortgage company?

I completely agree. Difficult to reach the appropriate person and then cannot understand what they are saying. I actually had one person hang up on me when I tried to explain that I could not understand them and wanted to talk with someone else.

I have a similar situation with Ocwen only they are trying to set up an escrow account on my mortgage to pay taxes and insurance, which I have always done myself. They have also reported to the Credit Bureaus that I have a negative rating with them although I have never been late with my payments and the few times I have I included the late fee. I am fed up with this company and feel that I have been duped. Every time I attempted to call them to talk with a supervisor or the tax and or insurance department I am told there are no direct numbers and I have to go through the 1-800 number. This then results in my talking with a person that has difficulty with the English language and this occurs no matter the time of day. I have wanted to pay off the mortgage and was going to be charged $3000.00 to do so. I have made attempts to pay extra on the principle and the company says I owe late fees so they put my extra money toward these fees which I have not been able to clarify why they are on the loan. I am thoroughly disgusted and tired of this so called "Loan Servicer" as I think it is more like a loan shark organization!

Hello INgreenwood and other victims of Ocwen's fraudulent abusive and violating behavior,

It certainly doesn't surprise me that after Ocwen just settled a $2B lawsuit in December, they are back to their old, comfortable violating ways to force false foreclosures and commit mortgage fraud by padding escrow impounds. Here is the link to the settlement: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/newsroom/cfpb-state-authorities-order-ocwen-to-provide-2-billion-in-relief-to-homeowners-for-servicing-wrongs/.

I routinely look for posts to answer in hopes that it will not only bring optimism to those homeowners and borrowers in distress but also some basic information to assist in fighting the banks that are "too big to fail" but yet don't appreciate the bailout that we provided in their time of need. The debt collectors like Ocwen and Nationstar are simply just ### but they can be beat at their own game too just like the big banks can be defeated. Basically, you need to "know your rights" in order to fight debt collectors like Ocwen and to "assert your rights".

It pains me that you have fallen victim to the unfair, deceptive and abusive practices of Ocwen (the current biggest offender in the industry) but you do have rights and I would be more than happy to educate you as to how to fight for your rights. My firm routinely seeks out complaints online so that we can educate as to how to fight back on our weekday show called "The Daily Complaint" where we review a complaint and how to tackle it successfully. We reviewed your complaint on the radio show today if you would like to listen, visit www.TheDailyComplaint.com.

Our firm presently has many files that we are working on at Ocwen with many more coming in daily complaining of the same escrow servicing fraud and abuses such as yours. In fact, I have at least half a dozen cases in my office right now that we are working on that also have escrow issues and we receive at least 2 or 3 calls per day on this topic; we beat Ocwen at their own game daily by referencing consumer protection laws and employing the help of government agencies that oversee the industry like HUD and the FTC.

You can contact me via email or website or via phone (all contact information is below) as I would be more than happy to contact Ocwen on your behalf since we speak with Ocwen on a daily basis to ensure the rights of our clients are not further violated. In fact, END Consulting (my firm) is working with an Investigator for a NY Law Firm that is seeking participants for a class-action lawsuit against Ocwen (Nationstar possibly as well) for escrow violations for those of you reading in this situation; I can put you in touch with him immediately if you want to send me an email.

END Consulting is a full service strategic debt and credit consulting firm started in 2006 with expertise is debt negotiations coupled with an exceptional track record of strategic consulting to include the real estate industry with a formidable business foundation. Ocwen overbilling

This company has given me nothing but problems. For the last 5 months they have charged me other fees which no one can explain, you can never speak with anyone locally it is always out of the country. I am tired of having to pay other fees that no one can explain and the government wont do anything to help the consumer!
