Overcharged, lousy server & service
I just got back from having a late lunch, and I'm very disappointed! At about 3:29pm, we myself and two grandchildren arrived at the Outback Steakhouse in Milpitas, CA. We placed our orders shortly after being seated. When our meals came the server was somewhat inconsiderate, questioned what we were eating, and made comments that were inappropriate. We had...

We were at the Hickory outback for my birthday dinner at 5:00 p.m. Three of us slipped and almost fell on the greasy floor. The first blooming union was burnt they said, the second one was dripping grease and almost burnt and took 45 min to get. Then the salad was stale tasteless and not good. The steak I had was burned dry and inedible. The ribs were terrible, nothing but fat, undercooked and not edible. The only thing I could eat was the Potatoe and it was small. The men's room was filthy, with urination all over the floor. And two of us have dysentery. The floor was total grease under our table. I would have had a bad fall if not for being in the process of getting into the booth. Something needs to be done about this Outback! You are facing lawsuits for sure. Our meal was over two hundred dollars and was worth nothing.
Desired outcome: I would like to see this Outback brought back to the way it should be. Great food, great service, and CLEAN, and yes I would like a refund.

On may 23, 2023 my husband and I patronize your Outback Steakhouse restaurant. We arrive late afternoon between the hours of 5 and 6pm. My husband and I ordered the 12 ounce Ribeye steak. I had broccoli for my side and my husband had a baked potato with the works. We also had bread to accommodate our meal. I ordered medium, husband ordered medium rare. The...

We took my mother out to dinner for her 73rd birthday last night at the Cherry Hill, New Jersey location. We got there a couple minutes to 7 and the hostess said that there was a 30 minute wait, which was fine.
It was now 7:45pm and I had to go to the hostess and ask why we havent been seated yet, she said that we were waiting for another party to finish up; they paid their bill, but now they are just sitting there talking and she dont want to rush them. I explained that I never wanted her to rush them, but you dont have anywhere else to seat us? There were three different groups of customers that came in after us and they was all seated. We had a party of 7, so I knew it was going to be a wait, but there should have been another area that she could have put us.
The entire time we was sitting there to the right of me were 4 booths and a dirty table that seated, I believe 6 people, so I was just a little confused. So I asked the hostess why cant we sit in the two booths to the right? She stated we didnt know you wanted to be separated. I said you never asked, I have a 73 women and a 12 year old son and they are hungry; we can sit in two booths.
The whole right side of the restaurant was basically empty and she didnt check over there. If I hadnt suggest that she told me that it was going to be an additional 15 minutes once the other party moved so they can clean up, so were now talking about 8pm. That was not a choice for me so I took the two booths. The waitress was very nice and she went to the manager because we were sitting there for so long and the manager gave us free dessert.
I had fried shrimp with the blooming sauce, they was barely any sauce. I ordered Alfredo-that had no taste. One of the other girls order something and the steak was too tuff. Because it was not the waitress fault that our food was not good; our bill came up to $214 and I still left the waitress a $50 tip.
I believe in tipping if I have a good service, and I always try to tip at the min 20%, but the hostess really upset me and my food was not great at all.
I dont know if you need this but this is the information on my receipt: 0260, Server: 677, Outback Steakhouse #3110. I feel as though my experience warrants some type of compensation.
Thank you
Desired outcome: I feel as though I should have some type of compensation.
Management
On 5/27/22 I had a 1 pm scheduled interview for server for you north Mesa location on Mckellips rd. The posting went up on indeed last weekend and I applied immediately and then was forwarded to pick a slotted time. For the past 5 days I had received over a half of dozen text messages and emails reminding me of this on site interview, even a text message an hour before advising me to start heading to the location.
Upon my arrival I advised the host I was there for an interview and I was met with a shocked look on her face. Since I was not given a name to ask for she went and brought back the kitchen manager. Obviously he had no knowledge of any interviews and asked me to return at 230 pm when the front of the house manager “Emily” would be in. Wanting the interview I agreed.
Upon my return, the hostess went to to the manager I was there for the interview. After about 10 min she returned to tell me the manager would see me as soon as she could. Another 10 minutes passed and another young lady came into the restaurant also for an interview for server, again met with that same shocked response and once again she went to inform the manager she had another interview waiting. Clearly you could tell there was an issue. After another 10 minutes the hostess spoke to the other young lady and advised her she would see what the manager wants to do as there was someone ahead of her and to understand the system online does not show the restaurant managerthe scheduled interview times?
A few minutes later the hostess returns, calls the other lady over to where I am sitting to tell us both that there are no server positions available but there is a hostess position available.
I can’t remember the last time I was so appalled. I wasted a half of day with your company’s non-sense and blatant incompetence to more or less be turned away. And to top it all off the manager could not even take 2 minutes to come out herself, apologize, and explain the situation. ( the restaurant was practically empty). The lack of professionalism is astounding. I have been in management for 25 years. Had I been a district manager I would have terminated her on the spot. If any part of that story about the system not notifying managers of potential candidates is true I would be taking a good look at my HR department. The whole experience was ridiculous.
I expect this matter to be investigated.

Food quality
Ordered a prime rib. the us jus was so salty it was not eatable . The prime rib was low quality and expensive for the quality. I can get a prime rib In Hot Springs Village for $13.00 that is not grizzly and melts in your mouth. I have been a fan of Outback for years., but I will no longer. Very very disappointed. Not what you use to be. This review is for the restaurant in Hot Springs, Arkansas
Food quality
I purchased 2 brisket plates on 5/10/22 at the Outback in Alexandria Louisiana. When I got the plates home I cut the fat off the sides of the meat which is normal for brisket. When we tried to eat the brisket it was pure fat which we couldn’t eat. It was bland and just mushy with fat. I have ordered from there several times but this was absolutely the worst I have ever seen. I spent good money on food that was not edible.
Desired outcome: I think that I should get a refund

We went to Outback to celebrate my birthday! On arrival there was no hostess.
The waitress seated us. We order the 12 oz ribeye with baked potato and fries.
I had the house salad and my friend had onion soup.
The steaks were so highly seasoned we were unable to eat it all. The fries were loaded with salt and my salad was disgusting. I could not eat it.
The worst meal,we have ever had.
We won’t be going back.
Desired outcome: I would like a compensation

On April 23, 2022 my son and I went to the Outback Steakhouse located on Two Notch Rd. Columbia SC. This happens to be my birthday and we were looking forward to a nice dinner to celebrate. We arrived at 6:18 and had our name placed on a waiting list and were told that it would be about 35-40 min wait which we were expecting. After awhile the couple that was waiting next to us which had just arrived were seated after about 15-20 min. There were two people in our party and three in theirs (two adults and one small child). When they walked in I walked in after them and explained that the couple they just seated had come after us and were being seated while we were still waiting. They searched for our name and asked if it could be under any other name and I said no. I showed them the text from when we first arrived and at that time it had been an hour and 7 min. While they were still searching for my name they proceeded to seat other customers before us. This was the worst experience I have ever had. The proper solution would have been to seat us instead of continuing to seat others. You all need to work on customer service as it is a big part of your business. I have looked through comments and there are more bad comments than there are good ones, you should take all of this in consideration and reconstruct they way you conduct your business. We ended up going somewhere else since they did not want to accomodate.

Outback Steakhouse Casselberry Fl
I purchased a 15 once rib eye steak for delivery. When it arrived it was cold and boxed with rice and potato that had spilled all over the steak. It was a mess of food mixed together It looked like possibly the rice and potatoes were supposed to be separated by foil but the two pieces of foil were simply laying on top of the whole mess
The steak was cold and tough. Over half was nothing but fat and gristle. It’s the first steak I bought since pre pandemic. What a disappointment! Poor quality meat. Terrible packaging! Over all barely edible. Over half the steak was thrown out. TERRIBLE product and service I tried contacting the Outback in Casselberry and got out on hold and disconnected twice
Desired outcome: Need refund or gift certificate for same amount of product $40

I called in a to go order for pick up at Outback 8405 IKEA Blvd in Charlotte, NC on 4/14/2022 at 11:33 The order was read back to me to confirm it was correct. However, when I arrived home with the meal I was missing one of the requested sides that went with the Alice Chicken and the prime rib sandwich combo was like shoe leather and had to be trashed.

I have always supported the restaurants during covid and after. This is the third strike for outback. My son and I love prime rib, we ordered the prime rib even though it was expensive. It was so raw when we received it , it was unwedable. We waited several weeks and in between we ordered the spinach and soup. We ordered a center cut steak which was delious. So we tryed the prime rib again and ordered it medium well. Again it came so raw you could not cut it. We put in oven yet it was not the same. we were unable to eat it. So today we tryed the bloomin onion and the bloomin hamburger. It was absolutely tasteless and very aweful the bloomin onion could not be eaten due to the grease being so old. I love carrabas and outback yet even in these trying times your product must be better. I'm not sure we will want to eat there again. I just thought you should know. My name is Linda Woodall and I buy hundreds of gift cards from you and not sure I can do that anymore either. My email is [protected]@gmail.com. Thank you.
Desired outcome: cook your food better

My daughter’s and I had dinner tonight 4/9/22 @ 6:15 pm the server was very short and her demeanor was distasteful, after we ate dinner and reviewed the ticket we noticed that we were charged multiple times for drinks we asked why she stated in a loud rude tone that the yea and lemonade wasn’t free refills, I then stated I wasn’t aware she yelled “it’s on...

Read full review of Outback SteakhouseLumberton, NC - not Outback quality
My husband and I visited the Lumberton, NC Outback on 4/3/22 for dinner while travelling south on Rt 95.
First, we have eaten at Outback at various locations and NEVER had this problem. There was no beer on tap and according to another customer has been that way for over a year. We decided on ordering a bottle of beer and didn't ask price, but were astonished when we received our bill - Ultra - $5.00/bottle which makes it $120.00 a case - YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING.
Second - my husband order the cobb salad for $15.99 and was served a toss salad with a hard boiled egg sliced on top. Not how a cobb salad should come.
Third - I ordered a standard hamburger - bun was burned on the edges, hamburger was dry and actually tasted like it had been sitting around for hours before serving.
This is not the type of Outback we are accustomed to and we will not be returning on our future trips. To verify, our check was #0521 on 4/3/22.
Desired outcome: Since we were travelling and ate most of the food, we want Outback management to be aware of these problems at your Lumberton, NC restaurant.
