broccoli soup
This is to make a complaint about Panera Bread # 1595 in Union Square Manhattan NY. I just buy a Brocoli Soup and specify that the order os for here. They put it to go and said that they put everythin to go at this time. I found that the restaurant close at 10pm and it was only 8pm. I told the server that the portion to go is not the same as the portion to eat in. I buyed soups in Panera for the last 5 years and it is not the same amount when they served on a regular bowl. I recently moved to NY from FL and my experience in this restaurant is always been bad. I'm considering change to another place were I can recieve a better service.
ordered a caffe mocha
On Dec 16 I ordered a Caffe mocha and the young lady that made it put so much chocolate in it I couldn't drink it
The location was Des Peres Mo 63131
Check #205304 cashier Andrew time 12:07 pm
Someone needs to help her learn on how much chocolate to add
I met up with my best friend to visit after my trip from Dominican Republic
After coffee and a cookie we wanted to go shopping for some Christmas gifts
Thought about taking my coffee back to the cashier but the line was long and after a vacation and Christmas ahead I just didn't have the energy to wait and complain
I love going to Panera bread and this was the first time I have ever had a issue with my coffee
If she makes everyone's mocha like that than that location is going thru a lot of chocolate
Hopefully the manager can address this issue and in the future I will get a just right and yummy Caffe Mocha
dining establishment smell, unsanitary
I've come to the Panera location in Orange,
CA (on Tustin) several times and for my last 2 visits (at least a week apart) the location smells like rotten eggs or sewer. I was told a pipe had burst and was the reason it smelled the first time. I figured it would be fixed and came back again, yet it has not and was just as bad as before.
The smell is not outside and appears to be an issue inside the location. This must be fixed as it is a result of bacteria in the air and unsanitary for a food establishment with exposed food.
sandwich
We frequent Panera Bread quite often for breakfast with our grandchildren on Sunday before church. This evening we decided to try a light dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by the picture of your Chicken Chipotle Avacado Melt and Turkey Chile at the counter. (Pic #1) Upon receiving my platter... (pic#2) I questioned the checker to see if I received the correct sandwich. It was less than 1/2 inch thick, triangular, seemed to be on flatbread, no cheese, and about a half teaspoon of avacodo. He indicated that it was indeed the correct sandwich. Now you know it would be very unwise of me to send my sandwich back in a fast food restaurant. I surely do not think that your company would expect upper management or anyone to accept a sandwich that looked like the one that I received. I know that it doesn't remotely resemble pic #1.
I might be the only one that takes the time to let you know about your poor sandwich construction, but I'm sure many feel cheated.
My husband and I are private business owners.
Sincerely,
Debra Barnes
order missing ingredient
On 12/3/17 we went to Cafe 3943 in Shreveport LA. Ordered three 1/2 sandwiches- BLT/roast turkey/avocado. Two with small mac & cheese & one with cup of squash soup. Also three drinks. The bill was $40.67. I thought this was very expensive for what we got. And then my sandwich had no avocado. I won't go back & pay those prices only to have my order be wrong. Maybe other people think your food is worth the exorbitant price but I don't.
chicken salad sandwich
My husband and I both ordered the pick two with a chicken salad sandwich to go and when we got home we saw that we each only got 3 tiny 1 inch pieces of chicken. We've never tried the sandwich before so we were obviously very unhappy with the quality and not to mention the money we wasted! I think what aggravates me the most is the fact that someone made the sandwiches and thought it was acceptable to give to us.
Portion/quality at Panera has greatly declined over the past 2-3 years.
I got the wrong order
This morning I went to panera to enjoy a nice breakfast to go. Instead I ended up disappointed. I ordered an asiago cheese bagel with vegetable cream cheese, however they were out of vegetable so I sadly settled with chive and onion. When I got home to enjoy my bagel Asiago cheese bagel I was shocked to find that it was cinnamon crunch, which I am deathly allergic to. What a waste.
manager using personal and political view
My brother and I are artists and belong to a rock art community in Sarasota Florida, We choose Panera Bread to draw because of the best coffe and fresh food. But also because the community Loves our art on rocks and the customers absolutely Look forward to us spreading love on our rocks which we place for people to find (free) Every now and then someone will commission us for a piece of art that isn't free.We have never had anyone say anything negative so when the manager approached us and stated people don't want us here.We were taken by surprise, She had anger in her voice and hate in her eyes, We will still come to Panera Bread for our coffee but we can't draw. That is truly sad! Can I read a book? This manager is putting Panera bread in a legal position possible lawsuit to all artists across the board who decide to draw while having coffee. The Every day mailman including 99% of custemors Love us! Please rectify soon.Manager appears overworked stressed and bitter.your anticipated cooperation in this matter would be

didn't receive what I ordered
Very disappointed in the service I received in Englewood, OH. Pulled up and order about 20 minutes before close the U Pick 2...1/2 turkey sandwich on cranberry walnut bread with no onions, asked if they had chicken w/ rice soup, the answer was yes, and a baguette. Get to window, make payment and am told there is no chicken with rice soup. I receive my bag and it contains a bag of chips and no baguette. When I ask about my baguette, "Oh I'm sorry ma'am, we're out of baguettes." Proper procedure would have been to inform customers there are no baguettes and give me a choice of either a piece of fruit or another type of bread. Poor customer service. Get home to eat my meal and the sandwich is on some type of oatmeal bread, not cranberry walnut like I had asked for and it didn't have any mustard on it like it normally does. It's very disappointing to come home from a long day, sit down and eat and not get to eat any of what you ordered. Folks in Englewood could use some proper training.
salad - customer service
My name is Wilesha Mucker, I live in Louisville ky. There's a Panera's bread at 6900 Dixie Highways, that I have went to a couple of times, each time I say I won't go back. I feel rushed at times, trying to order. But today I ordered just a Goddess Cobb salad, half size. They gave me the same size that come with the pick two, there's wasn't even half a salad in the box. I was pissed because I just paid $7.00 bucks for this salad and it's not even half full. There wasn't any avocado in my salad, it was horrible. I Love Panera Bread, and not all of them treat you this way. At this particular time I went through the drive through, I was going to ask a question, but like I said they rush you, no eye contact. She gave me my food and shut the window and turned around. I will not be going back to this location.
customer service was terrible
My name is Amelia C. Kennedy at 1080 Loblolly Lane Newton NC 28658 my number is [protected]. I live about 10 minutes from Panera Bread. I use the drive thru all the time and only had gone in about 2 different times, I love your food not your customer service, on 2 different occasions employees were terrible, this wasn't any different except I complained to the manager because at this point this had gone too far!
On Monday 6:30pm my friends and I visited to spend time and drink coffee but we decided to have dinner at your establishment. There were 4 of us and 2 children. We ordered and were given the wrong caramel latte we wanted cold and they gave us a hot one. That wasn't the problem before that we ordered regular coffee and they had to make some you had no coffee on your self server shelf, no half an half, and no skim milk. While we waited for our sandwiches and soups, we got our food first before coffee. Ordered caramel latte and received it the same time the food and the wrong latte, I said to speak to the manager, all he said was to please bring the caramel latte and he would make me what I ordered. No sorry please let me know where your seated and I'll take it to you, NOTHING! I guess he thought since we were Hispanic we didn't matter because that is how he behaved. I'm disappointed we were treated this way, My friends and I work have children and this is the only time we can relax and we spent a lot of money in your establishment, imagine 4 of us we ordered pick 2 and coffee, latte, and something sweet with both our children that had something to eat also. To that it's not cheap, customer service is awful not only your manager but the ladies in the cash register didn't care either and dragged their feet. I would like you to please do something about this situation, talk to your employees, maybe more training on how to treat customer's because other wise you will loose many more of us that love your food but will not come back.
rude customer service
I was coming to Panera to get a side of Bread because it's cheap and I have been having financial issues so I thought a 81 cent side of Bread would do me good for a bit. As I was walking to the register I saw this young lady she was very nice And asked me what she could do for me. As I was about to talk her my order. This dude who I have seen before opened his mouth before me and said started making threats towards me and I was confused because though I have seen him before I don't recall having any need between him and i. I usuallu greet people with a hello or good morning, etc. I didn't understand why he was threatening me. He threatened to f... Me up and that's when I left. I should sue Panera for such treatment. And I will if that man isn't tired for that treatment.
manager
Was enjoying my food in a booth and overheard a manager speaking very out of turn to an employee. I usually come in the morning, but I decided to enjoy a late lunch today at work. I didn't recognize the cashier either, she was a Hispanic girl who seemed sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. The girl I usually have in the morning is blond and is just as sweet and always helps out when I come in for my Tuesday bagels and even went out of her way one day to get me a bag of ice for the cream cheese when I mentioned I had to drive to Swansboro with my bagels, but the point is I didn't see a reason why the new cashier needed to be screamed at. He was Screaming and cursing at her. I thought it was a good environment to work here, but I guess those employees deal with a monster. He had all white hair, don't know his name
employee attitudes
I went to Panera Bread at approximately 8:45 am on 12/12/17 Located on S. Brentwood. Cafe 0636 Phone Number [protected]. I ordered 2 plain bagels and 2 cream cheese. When I received my order I was missing one of the cream cheeses, so I politely asked the gentleman that handed my food over to me, and he proceeded to inform the lady behind the counter at the pickup station. She informed him that I only ordered 1, so I proceeded to show her my receipt stating that I purchased 2. She stated to me and quote " I was not talking to you, I was talking to him". I told her, but you clearly see it on my receipt, so she walked away, I stood there for about 2 mins before realizing this lady was not coming back to help me, (all while the gentleman is shaking his head because of the way she is treating me), so I walked back up to the front counter, and asked for a manager. When the manager came over she was trying to explain to me that the cashier should have given me one and the people in the back should have given me the other. At this point it doesn't matter who should have given it to me when I showed her my receipt it should have been handled, this ordeal not only made me late for work, but it was something that could have been handled by just handing over a simple $1.30 plain cream cheese container. Especially after I showed my receipt. The young lady in the back was very rude and was talking rudely about me the entire time I was there. The manager never apologized for the employee's behavior, just gave me the cream cheese that i never received. The young lady should not be working in a restaurant-style environment because her customer service skills are not where they need to be. At that point I wish I was a secret shopper, I would have given that experience the lowest number possible. I really do not have a desirable resolution, the only thing I would say is please improve the customer service, customer service is the business. I have been in the commercial real estate for over 7 years and customer service is number 1 in any business.
terrible customer service
It was Café 2207 Sacramento CA [protected] on 12/9/2017 at 10:47am, Check number 343602, Cashier Amber. We first tried order soups and chili, but was advised it was not ready until after 11am or reaches a certain temperature, but she didn't check and told us we can order something else. Then we ordered a couple of sandwiches and Amber appropriately asked if we were members, but when I asked how I can become one she just ignored me and processed my credit. I asked for the receipt, the pager, and membership as she walked away and did not respond. I asked the person making sandwiches to have someone assist me and hand me a towel so I can clean a table. No one was on the floor cleaning at the time and all the tables were dirty with only about 4 small groups of less than 3 people seated or trying to find a clean seat, including us. The person making the sandwiches asked if I had ordered the sandwiches she just made and replied as I was still waiting for someone to clean a table and the person called out again for someone to come out. Finally someone came out of the back of work area and began cleaning the tables and when I went to ask her about the membership, but she got busy cleaning all the tables by herself. The place was really slow at that time so I did not understand the poor service and attitudes of the majority of the employees. I never got questions answered or applied for a membership, not sure if I want to now if all the stores are this way. A re-evaluation of the staff customer service policies and treatment of customers should be reviewed and the cleanliness of an eating establishment.
filthiness of booths
I am a regular coustomer at panera near tanglewood mall, roanoke, va. I have been waiting for months for them to properly clean the booths and tables, I emphasize properly.
Today I sat in a booth. A server came to wipe the table with a rag which was very wet. The table was wiped, but not the seats seat backs, or walls around it. The table was left wet, which still means germs from the rag, and the other tables which were wiped. The wood veneer was covered with fingerprints as was the paint. The wood section between the seat and the seat back was dirty, with salt and more. And it was before 10 in the morning. I have not been in there and ever sat in a clean booth in more than a half year. I also witnessed an employee remove an empty top for a container of iced tea, put a new top on, pour tea in it, and then stick his ungloved hand in the tea. This panera is lucky if it has had no complaints of illness, but it is only a matter of time.
Ess
manager and employees
On 12/8/17 at approximately 7:51p.m. I went to the Panera Bread Cafe #4123 drive thru. I began to order French baguette bread and Ciabatta bread and was told they were out of both breads. I then asked the associate what other breads were available to which she never responded. I proceeded with my order (2 cranberry/orange muffins, 2 pumpkin muffins, 2 blueberry muffins, 2 Asiago bagels, 1 French toast bagel and 1 blueberry bagel). I then drove up to the window to retrieve my order and pay, I was charged $21.97. After being charged I was told they only had 2 muffins so I asked for a refund. The associate told the manager and he told her I needed to go inside for the refund.
I am 67 years old, disabled and the weather was 35F. I explained that to the associate, then the Mgr. sent another person to do the refund. I was refunded for 2 muffins instead of 4. When I complained the refund was incorrect the mgr. did another refund.
During this visit I was very disappointed with the customer service, the associate and Manager had an attitude and were rude, they made the mistake, not me...you don't treat customers like that.

chicken avocado melt
I ordered online for pickup on my way to work, and when I arrived the manager said he tried to call, but they were out of bread bowls. He added 3 baguets instead, apologized and offered a refund. I declined the refund and said it was no big deal. He did a great job trying to make it right. When I went to eat my chicken avocado sandwich tho, there was barely anything on it. Hardly any chicken, some slices of avocado, small amount of lettuce and some melted cheese. The whole thing was very small. This sandwhich was 9.19. Im sorry but the sandwich I got was definatly not worth almost 10 dollars!
bread bowls
This is just at the location in Hixson, Tennessee. It doesn't matter how many times I walk into this place, there seems to never be any bread bowls at all. I only get an explanation of "we're out" without any other reasoning. I understand that orders happen throughout the day but it does not matter what time of day it is, there are always no bread bowls. I don't know if management just refuses to upkeep for the sake of less waste at the end of the day or what but I can never go to this location to get what I want. Can someone please do something about this?
You will need to contact Panera directly. They will likely not see your complaint here as this is a third party consumer complaints website.
vegan items
Dear Panera Bread,
I am a St. Louis native and grew up going to St. Louis Bread Co. every week. When I move to Birmingham, AL, and you began expanding your stores, I was excited that I could have Panera anywhere I traveled to. When I decided to go vegan a few years ago, I did my research to find out which of your items were vegan friendly. I love the black bean soup and vegetable medley soup, but I oftentimes do not find them at stores in my area.
Most recently, I visited the Panera in Memphis, TN, where I live now, and I normally get the sourdough bread bowl with soup or pick up some bread for home, which is listed as vegan without dairy or eggs. I wanted to double check to make sure it was vegan, so I asked, and the manager said they use dairy in their dough starter, so none of their bread products are vegan. Is this true? Is this Panera location trained incorrectly? I am now scared and not trusting that your bread is vegan, so I have not been back. Can you please give me the full explanation?
I also hear you are coming out with a new vegan soup! That is exciting! What would be even more exciting is knowing that your sourdough bread is vegan so I can order the new soup in a bread bowl!
Thank you.
