Parts Avatar Misleading product ad and poor customer service experience from Parts Avatar

I recently made a purchase on the website Parts Avatar (partsavatar.ca) for a set of brake pads. At first glance, the ad appeared to show a picture of four brake pads and six hardware shims. However, upon receiving my order and beginning the installation process, I realized that the plastic wrap inside the box had been slit open and there were no shims included.

As I was unable to wait for a new shipment, I went out and purchased the necessary shims from a local store for an amount that was equivalent to what I had paid for the brake pads. I then reached out to the website's live chat customer service in order to address the missing parts. To my surprise, the representative informed me that the shims are not included in the purchase.

Consequently, my concern was elevated to the next level of customer service. I asked for nothing more than for them to update their ad to accurately reflect the actual parts included in the purchase. In response, they advised me that the disclaimer on their website suggests that the actual parts may slightly vary in shape and size from those shown in the ad. They even went so far as to send me a screenshot of their ad which clearly showed the six shims included. However, when I pressed for clarification on how it is possible to simply miss six shims as a slight variation in shape or size, they refused to answer my questions.

Throughout my interaction with the customer service team, my concern had to go through three levels of escalation and comprised about ten emails. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue with them, they ultimately refused to address my concerns or provide an adequate resolution to my problem. Based on this experience, I have decided to never make a purchase from Parts Avatar again.

Parts Avatar Poor customer service and slow refund process from Parts Avatar (partsavatar.ca) - a warning to potential buyers

I had a terrible experience with Parts Avatar (partsavatar.ca) and will never be ordering from them again. My experience mainly revolved around their poor customer service. I ordered some break pads on April 20th, with a promised delivery date of April 23rd-30th. However, after waiting past the delivery date, I decided to contact their customer service team on May 4th. This led to multiple contradictory statements from various customer service representatives. One gave me a tracking number that didn't work, while another said that the item hadn't shipped yet, despite me receiving an email from April 29th to say it had been shipped. When I pushed for more information, the customer service representative pretended to be unavailable - a very unprofessional approach.

I finally received the break pads, but they sent the wrong ones. I had to return them, and paid $13 for 2-day shipping. After sending the item back on May 13th, I expected a refund by May 29th, according to their return policy. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Another customer service representative then told me they received the item on May 24th, and a late return should have been given by June 5th. However, the refund hadn't been processed by June 11th, so I contacted them again. They promised they would contact me within 24 hours, but two days have passed, and I still haven't received any information.

From my experience, I would not recommend buying from this site. Their handling of customers is very unprofessional, and I am still waiting for my refund.

Parts Avatar Nightmare Experience with Parts Avatar: A Warning to Potential Customers

My experience with Parts Avatar was nothing short of a nightmare. I had ordered over $800 worth of parts, and out of all those items, only one was missing - brake pad cables worth around $10. Seems like a minor issue, right? Well, it turned into a major ordeal. I tried to get in touch with them multiple times through email, live chat, and even over the phone, but all I got was the same response - it had been escalated to their "High Priority Team", and I should wait for a response.

I tried my best to be patient, but after a whole month of waiting, I finally got a reply that left me completely frustrated. They said they couldn't do anything to help me, and since the 30-day return window had closed, I couldn't return the missing part. I tried to explain that the only reason the window had closed was that I had been waiting for them to respond for over a month! But they refused to budge, leaving me with no other option.

It's safe to say that I was beyond disappointed with their lack of customer service, especially since I had spent over $1,300 with them in the last year alone. And all they had to do was replace a missing part worth $10 - it was their mistake, after all. But I guess they didn't think it was worth it, even if it meant losing me as a customer.

After going through this ordeal, I would never recommend Parts Avatar to anyone. And judging by the reviews I've read, it seems like I'm not the only one who feels this way. I would advise anyone looking for a reliable and customer-focused parts supplier to look elsewhere. There are plenty of options available, even if they cost a little extra - trust me, it'll be worth it.

Parts Avatar Review of Parts Avatar Auto Parts: Poor Quality and Slow Shipping

I recently tried ordering a number of different car parts for my Chevy pickup from Parts Avatar (partsavatar.ca). Although, at first, I was impressed by the site's ease of use - simply inputting my vehicle's year, model, and engine size produced a list of parts that supposedly fit my truck - I quickly ran into major issues with my order.

Despite being assured that the parts I selected would fit my vehicle, it turned out several items did not. Unfortunately, rather than taking responsibility for this, customer service representatives insisted that it was my own fault for selecting the wrong parts. To make matters worse, the company refused to cover the cost of return shipping for these incorrect parts, asserting that such a policy was strictly adhered to.

In addition, Parts Avatar's shipping process was startlingly slow. It was unclear whether this too was a company policy or simply poor business practice, but it added to the overall disappointment I experienced with this company.

While I did eventually receive some correct parts from Parts Avatar, their lack of accountability and poor shipping times made this a frustrating experience overall. To anyone considering using this site for auto parts, I recommend double-checking everything before placing an order and being prepared for slow processing times and potentially difficult customer service interactions.

Parts Avatar Buyer Beware: My Disappointing Experience with Parts Avatar Customer Service and Shipping

When I tried shopping from Parts Avatar (partsavatar.ca) for the first time, I experienced disappointment at every turn. Despite the tracking information showing updates, it took an unexpectedly long time for my order to reach me. I reached out to customer service for help, but they were unhelpful and didn't take any responsibility. When the package finally arrived, it showed visible damage to the packaging, but I decided not to mention it as the inside seemed fine. However, it turns out that the parts I ordered, which according to the site would fit my vehicle, weren't the right ones after all. When I contacted customer service again, they started blaming me, stating that I had entered incorrect information about my vehicle. However, I proved that I had given the correct information and that the site was in the wrong by showing them the 13th item on the list, which happened to be the correct part, even though it went against what the first 12 items claimed. Despite my evidence, customer service maintained their stance and refused to refund me for the return shipping or take responsibility for their mistake.

If you're thinking of ordering from Parts Avatar, I highly recommend that you don't. As someone who has experienced the trial and tribulations of dealing with their customer service, I advise you to steer clear. They don't seem to care about their customers at all, and they aren't even willing to admit fault when they make a mistake. You don't have to take my word for it; just take a look at the negative reviews from other customers and see for yourself. Save yourself the trouble and buy from somewhere that values your satisfaction as a customer. Buyer beware!

Parts Avatar Frustrating experience with Parts Avatar: Late delivery, damaged part & poor customer service

I had a really rough experience with Parts Avatar (partsavatar.ca). My car's catalytic converter was stolen, which meant I couldn't drive it at all. I decided to order the necessary part online, even though it said it wouldn't be delivered until May 12th. I figured I could manage without my car until then.

When May 12th came and went without any delivery, I was pretty frustrated. I tried to track down the part, but the only update I could find was from May 11th with Purolator. They mentioned some delivery disruption, but that was about it. I reached out to the local Purolator office and found out that the delay was because the part was oversize and there was a Covid outbreak, which meant it was stuck in Quebec for 4-12 business days.

I tried to call Parts Avatar to figure out what was going on, but I couldn't get through. Finally, I tried the chat feature, which was really annoying to use because of the lag and the confusing answers. I had to keep asking what things meant, and they told me they were looking into it.

In the end, I ended up buying the part locally on May 14th and installing it myself. Just as I finished, the doorbell rang and the part from Parts Avatar was on my doorstep - it had just been delivered. I checked it out and found it to be badly damaged, like it had been caught in a forklift's mast. I was beyond frustrated at this point.

I had to contact Parts Avatar again through their chat feature and they wanted pictures. I asked my niece to take some with her phone, which I sent over, and I received a return ticket number. I dropped off the damaged part at the Parts Avatar depot in Edmonton and was credited back through my Mastercard within a week.

Overall, this experience was really frustrating. I wouldn't have bought the part if I had known it was coming from Quebec and that I wouldn't be able to talk to someone on the phone. The chat feature was just too annoying and time-consuming. I'll probably be buying locally from now on.

Parts Avatar Parts Avatar Review: Poor Service, Late Shipping, and No Refund Policy - Buyer Beware

Recently, I had to order some car parts to fix my vehicle, and after doing some research, I came across Parts Avatar's website. I was pleased to see that their website advertised speedy delivery, with products shipping out in 4-24 hours. However, after several days had passed, and I still had not received my tracking number, I reached out to them for an update. It was then that I discovered my items had not yet been shipped out.

After several more days of waiting, I decided to contact them again to request a cancellation and refund of my order. Disappointingly, they told me that they couldn't refund me at that moment, and I had to wait until the relevant people were back in the office. Despite my attempts to get more information and clarity on why they could not refund me, they simply stalled until the end of their business day.

The following day, I woke up to find out that my order had magically shipped out, right after I had requested a refund - quite the coincidence, don't you think? When I contacted them again, asking for a refund, they told me that my order was no longer in their hands, and that it was up to Canada Post.

To verify, I contacted Canada Post, but they were just as unhelpful as Parts Avatar. They told me that they couldn't find any parcel under the tracking number that had been provided, and that it was out of their hands. After multiple attempts, it was clear that getting answers from either of these parties was near impossible.

Now, Canada Post still does not have my packages, and Parts Avatar still refuses to refund my order. It has become quite clear to me that this company does not care about their customers, and is solely focused on how to make a quick dollar. I would advise anyone to look elsewhere for cheaper parts - there are companies out there who value their customers over their profits.

Parts Avatar Warning: Poor Customer Service and Possible Fake Reviews from Parts Avatar Auto Parts Supplier

I recently had an unfortunate experience with Parts Avatar (partsavatar.ca), an auto parts supplier that I ordered from due to pricing and product availability. I ordered several items - including oil filters, copper washers, and spark plugs - but upon receiving my package, I found that only two of the eight spark plugs I ordered had been delivered. Packing lists confirmed that the additional spark plugs had not been included, and a call to the original supplier - VAST AUTO in Quebec - revealed that they were out of stock with no plans for restocking in the future.

I attempted to contact Parts Avatar by phone several times, but was met with no response. When I turned to the online chat feature, the representative - who went by the name "Danny" - seemed to initially deny any issue with my order. Eventually, I was asked to provide photographic evidence to prove my missing items, which I did. Despite multiple attempts and several days of waiting, I was never provided with a clear timeline for resolution or a guarantee of a refund. To make matters worse, when I asked for a phone number to speak with a representative directly, I was told that the line was unavailable due to COVID - a lie that I soon discovered had been told to other customers as well.

Overall, I was left with a very negative impression of this company. The lack of communication and customer service was unacceptable, and I began to suspect that Parts Avatar was little more than a middleman with no true infrastructure or support. In fact, I suspect that the positive reviews I had seen on their website were, in fact, fake - paid for or generated by bots. Eventually, I had no choice but to escalate my issue through PayPal, and only then did I receive prompt resolution. To other customers out there, I would advise caution when dealing with this company - look to reviews on external websites, like SITEJABBER, before making a purchase.

Parts Avatar Unprofessional and Unethical: My Experience with Parts Avatar

Parts Avatar left a bad taste in my mouth after a recent experience I had with them. I had ordered an exhaust manifold for my truck and unfortunately it was not compatible with my vehicle. I opted to return the item for a refund as the website advertised a satisfaction guarantee policy. However, I never heard back from them after returning the unused item. I tried calling, emailing, and even using their online chat system with no success. Each time I reached out, I was either disconnected or left waiting in a lengthy queue.

I was determined to get a response, so I began to bombard them with emails until I finally received a generic response promising a reply within 24 hours. To my dismay, that promise was broken and I had to continue reaching out until I finally got a response claiming that the item was returned after the cut-off date. I knew this was not true and even provided CanadaPost tracking information proving that the item was delivered six days prior to their claimed return date.

Their response was unprofessional and unethical, and I was forced to threaten them with a PayPal claim before finally receiving a response. Even then, they required me to return the item before issuing me a refund. Thankfully, I kept all of the necessary documentation and was able to receive a full refund through PayPal's resolution center.

I caution anyone considering doing business with Parts Avatar, especially since they have other negative reviews. I discovered a great alternative to their services in RockAuto, who has earned my trust with their legitimate practices, affordable prices, and reliable shipping to Canada.

Parts Avatar Avoid Parts Avatar: My Terrible Experience Buying Car Parts Online

If you are looking for an online retailer for car parts, I strongly advise you to avoid Parts Avatar (partsavatar.ca). I had a terrible experience with this company that I would like to share with you. This was my first time ordering from them, and I used their website to find front brake pads and rotors for my 2007 Honda. The order was placed, and the packages arrived promptly. However, I was very disappointed to see that the boxes were not well-packaged, and the rotor and pads had been ripped out, causing minor damage.

Despite this setback, I decided to install the parts since the damage was not significant. Once I took the brakes off my car, I discovered that the rotor was the wrong part. It did not fit, and it was clear that the website had recommended an incorrect piece for my car. When I contacted the company to advise them of the error, they blamed me for not measuring the stock parts to ensure the right fit. I was very disappointed because there were no warning messages on their page to alert me to take these steps before ordering.

I explained to them how the parts didn't fit and that they had also arrived with damage because they were not shipped in appropriate packaging to protect them. They helped me with the return process, but I was hit with an unreasonable 20% restocking fee because they claimed that I had ordered the wrong parts. They refused to change their position, and their customer service was the worst I have encountered in over ten years. To make matters worse, they do not have any phone numbers to call, and they only deal with issues through online help.

Apart from having issues returning the parts, I also faced many challenges getting my money back. They claimed that the refund had been processed, but it was an issue with VISA. I spent hours talking to both PartsAvatar and VISA to resolve this issue, and I only got a resolution after telling PartsAvatar that I was filing a dispute with VISA. It was a frustrating experience that I would not wish on my worst enemy.

In conclusion, be very careful when ordering from Parts Avatar. I do not recommend this company, and I would give them zero stars if that was an option.

Parts Avatar Disappointing Service Review: Parts Avatar's Poor Performance & Customer Service

On June 5th, I placed an order with Parts Avatar and unfortunately, I have to say that I'm disappointed with their service. Although I received half of my order on June 15th, which is later than expected, the critical parts are still outstanding as of June 17th. On the other hand, I placed an order with Rockauto, and I received everything on June 9th, in just four days from New York to BC, which is quite impressive.

To my dismay, I've been facing a series of issues while trying to communicate with Parts Avatar. Their phones are either not working or not being answered, and their automated email responses are not helpful at all. I'm unable to cancel the order, as they falsely claim to have already shipped it. Whenever I attempt to 'live chat' with their representatives, I feel like I'm talking to someone in a shack in India, who knows little else except to regurgitate scripted answers. This leads me to believe that their customer service standards are not very high.

A major cause of these problems seems to be the ongoing Covid-19 situation as the company tries to blame everything on it, from delayed shipping to technical difficulties with phone lines. As a retired person, I'm in desperate need of my car, and it's frustrating to see the lack of concern from Parts Avatar towards their customers. To put it bluntly, they don't seem to care at all. In my opinion, this is the worst customer service I've ever experienced, and the CEO should be held accountable for the lack of transparency and service provided.

In conclusion, I hope they go bankrupt, but I doubt they will, as they are likely benefiting from government handouts related to Covid-19. It's essential for companies to be transparent with their customers to build trust and loyalty, but with this experience, I cannot recommend Parts Avatar to anyone.

Parts Avatar Improving Communication and Shipping Practices: My Experience Ordering from Parts Avatar

I recently had an experience ordering from Parts Avatar, an online auto parts store based in Canada. While I was excited to receive my order, I did notice that it took some time for the items to be collected and prepared for shipping. This led me to check the Parts Avatar website for updates, and I was a bit concerned when it said the item had been marked as "Parts Delivered"--yet I hadn't received anything! I couldn't help but wonder if they had been stolen by a porch pirate, or if there was some other issue.

To avoid this confusion, I would suggest that Parts Avatar ensure their website language is clear and unambiguous. I also believe they should add a final status update indicating when the order has been transferred to the delivery company, so that customers have a clear expectation of when they should receive their order.

Frustrated by the lack of clear updates on the Parts Avatar website, I turned to the delivery company (which I believe was Purolator) to track my shipment. To my concern, the shipment seemed to be stuck in the first segment of delivery for several days, indicating that my order was still sitting on a dock in Ontario. As someone living in a different part of the country, I knew that a few days to make the trip west was reasonable. However, it was frustrating to see no change in the delivery status, leading me to wonder where my parts were and when I would receive them.

After all of this waiting, confusion, and concern, I started to wonder if the few dollars I saved by ordering from Parts Avatar was worth it. While it's great to have access to a wide selection of auto parts online, I think that Parts Avatar could improve their communication and shipping practices to make the customer experience better.

Parts Avatar Disappointing Experience with Parts Avatar - Poor Order Fulfillment and Customer Support

I recently had a not so great experience with Parts Avatar, an online auto parts supplier at partsavatar.ca. Despite ordering all of the required parts at the same time on the same invoice, I received them in separate shipments weeks apart from one another. To make matters worse, I had the chance to return a part from the same order during the span of time in which the remaining parts were being shipped. When I attempted to figure out what was going on, there was no real explanation beyond blaming Canada Post for the delays. However, I can't help but feel that it was actually Parts Avatar's fault for not being truthful with me about the reason for the delay.

After waiting two weeks for the remaining part to be shipped and trying to cancel it to no avail, it took another two weeks for it to finally arrive. To make matters worse, I actually had to return one of the parts because it ended up not being compatible with my window regulator motor, which was incredibly frustrating as it should have been. Unfortunately, it took them 15 days to receive and process my return, and I still haven't received my refund, which is now overdue by several days based on their return policy.

Overall, my experience with Parts Avatar was incredibly disappointing, especially considering how poorly they handled my concerns with their customer service. Based on my experience, I would caution against ordering from this supplier as they do not seem to prioritize timely order fulfillment or customer support.

Parts Avatar Beware: Poor Customer Service and Breach of Consumer Rights with Parts Avatar (partsavatar.ca)

Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with Parts Avatar (partsavatar.ca), which I feel compelled to share. After experiencing issues with my order, I reached out to their customer service team via email and phone. However, despite speaking with several representatives, my concerns were left unresolved.

One of the items I ordered was extremely late, which caused me to look for the product elsewhere in the meantime. Additionally, I was also mis-sold a product, which was disappointing. When I requested a return shipping label, I was met with resistance from their team. Despite explaining that the issues were a result of Parts Avatar’s actions, they continued to deny any fault.

Ultimately, I felt compelled to report them to the Canadian Board of Trade, as they were breaching several consumer rights. I was also surprised to discover that one of Parts Avatar's agents created a secondary account for me without my permission.

To add insult to injury, the late and mis-sold parts were of no use to me, and I had to pay $117 to return them. This experience was a waste of my time, money, and effort. Furthermore, all of the customer service interactions seemed scripted and impersonal. It was disheartening to hear that they had no phone number for me to call regarding the issues.

Despite requesting compensation for shipping, all I was offered as compensation was a 10% discount on my next order, which seemed inadequate. Overall, my experience with Parts Avatar leaves me with red flags, and I would not recommend them to others.

Parts Avatar Disappointing Experience with Canadian Parts Supplier - Parts Avatar Review

I recently had a disappointing experience with Parts Avatar, an online Canadian parts supplier. Initially, I was drawn to this company because I wanted to support Canadian businesses during these difficult times. I placed an order for a brake kit on July 7th, but as of August 8th, I still have not received my product.

When I contacted Parts Avatar's customer service, they told me that my shipment had been picked up by Purolator. However, after conducting my own investigation, I discovered that no pickup occurred, only a shipping label was created. I have been given false information multiple times by their customer service chat.

As a result of this experience, I would never order parts from Parts Avatar again, nor would I recommend them to anyone. I believe that they did not have the parts in stock in the first place, and now I am out almost $400. Despite my requests to cancel the order and return my payment, I have not received any response from them.

In my opinion, this is one of the most disrespectful companies that I have ever dealt with. To put things into perspective, I ordered a Napoleon barbecue from Costco and Day and Ross delivered it from Markham Ontario to Calgary in just four days. This situation really puts their lack of follow-through and accountability into stark contrast.

While I understand that COVID-19 may be causing delays in shipping and delivery, I believe that companies should be transparent with their customers about any issues they may be facing. This way, customers can make informed decisions about their purchases and can have more realistic expectations about delivery times.

Overall, I was deeply disappointed with my experience with Parts Avatar, and I would advise others to proceed with caution when dealing with this company.

Parts Avatar Disappointing Experience with Partsavatar: Inaccurate Product Descriptions and Poor Customer Support

I recently had an experience with Parts Avatar (partsavatar.ca) that left me feeling very disappointed. I found the support chat to be unhelpful and uninformative, as it led to no conclusion besides being told to contact my bank - even though I had already done so and was advised by my bank to contact the company who charged me. This is actually the second time I've had to file a complaint with Partsavatar, and as a lawyer, I am willing to pursue legal action over the $25 I paid, if I do not get my money back. Though it may seem insignificant, it is not too time consuming for me to do so.

One of the biggest issues I had with Partsavatar was that they use the phrase "FOR REFERENCE ONLY" to describe their parts' pictures and descriptions. In other words, they use a general picture of a popular part for a certain car system, such as an exhaust, and apply the same picture to all the related parts, such as gaskets, pipes, hoses, covers and so on. This caused a rather unpleasant surprise when I received my part because it was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN WHAT WAS IN THE PICTURE AND DESCRIPTION. When I reached out to Partsavatar about this issue, they refused to provide me with a full refund and instead, I had to pay for the shipping again to return the product to their warehouse.

Overall, my experience with Partsavatar has not been a positive one. I regret not going to Rockauto parts, as they have always provided me with better service and products with accurate descriptions. Lesson learned, I will not be using Partsavatar again.

Parts Avatar Disappointing Experience with Parts Avatar: Defective Lights and Poor Customer Service

I recently had an unpleasant experience with Parts Avatar (partsavatar.ca). I purchased a set of headlights for $400, but upon installation, all of the signal lights failed to work - this included the front, back, side mirrors, and hazards. After replacing the fuse, the issue persisted, indicating a more significant wiring problem. I contacted Parts Avatar for assistance, but their suggested solution was disappointing. They advised me to purchase another set of headlights for $400, pay for shipping to return the defective lights, and then pay for shipping again to receive a new set. This would add up to paying for shipping three times, which seems unfair. Furthermore, they refused to issue a return because they claimed the lights were used, although I had only tried them and then encountered faults. It was impossible to speak to anyone on the phone, as they only offer chat support. However, communicating with their chat support team proved challenging and did not offer a satisfying outcome. The link to fill out a return form provided did not work, making the overall process confusing and frustrating. This kind of customer service is unacceptable, as it has left me out of pocket by $400 and unwilling to pay for another set of defective lights that I can't return.

Parts Avatar Warning: Terrible Experience with PartsAvatar - Unacceptable Business Practices and Poor Customer Service

It is strongly advised not to shop at PartsAvatar (partsavatar.ca). According to my recent experience, their confirmation of orders took an unusual amount of time, well beyond the promised period of 4 to 24 hours. As a result, cancelling the order became impossible, and despite the delay, the confirmation could not be established.

Unfortunately, the offered solution was quite dissatisfying; I had to return the merchandise, face the inconvenience of return shipping, and even bear the restocking fee that should not have applied in the first place since the order had not been confirmed yet! This business practice can only be described as unacceptable and unethical.

Moreover, the customer service experience did not prove to be any better. The agents provided me with inaccurate information about my order status, indicating that it had already shipped and even provided a tracking number to support that claim. However, upon tracking the package, it was clear that it had not even been picked up by the courier service, and that the provided tracking number did not register in the system.

This entire process left me feeling highly dissatisfied with PartsAvatar, and I would like to warn potential customers to avoid them at all costs. Better service, faster shipping, and often cheaper prices can be found at competitors like Rock Auto. Unfortunately, my experience with PartsAvatar was so negative that I will never do business with them again.

Parts Avatar Poor Customer Service and Delays Make Shopping at PartsAvatar a Disappointing Experience

There has been a lot of buzz about online shopping for car parts, with one option being PartsAvatar (partsavatar.ca). However, after experiencing their customer service firsthand, I highly recommend exploring other options. While initially attracted to their competitive prices, the lack of respect and ineffective communication from PartsAvatar's Customer Service department has made this a truly disappointing experience.

After placing an order on a Monday, my package was not even picked up until Friday of that week - a delay that put my entire project behind schedule. Incredibly, it took 8 days for the order to even reach Purolator for shipping, despite PartsAvatar already having my money by the second day after order placement. Additionally, I was later informed that the package received damages too severe for delivery, leaving me without the necessary parts and feeling very frustrated.

Despite emailing PartsAvatar twice regarding the issue, I have yet to receive a response or any indication of their willingness to rectify the situation. As someone who has already invested over $500 into this transaction, I find it incredibly disrespectful to not even receive a courtesy response. Ultimately, dealing with PartsAvatar has caused me to waste a decidedly significant amount of time and money, which could have been easily avoided had I chosen a different supplier.

To anyone thinking of using PartsAvatar, I highly recommend exploring alternative options. You don't want your repairs to be delayed, your expectations to be unmet and for your hard-earned money to be poorly managed. Choose wisely and save yourself the inconvenience and frustration that I have experienced. While my dispute with my bank will take 90 days, PartsAvatar has my money and I am now forced to borrow more money to access the parts I need from another supplier.

Parts Avatar Negative Experience with Parts Avatar: Poor Customer Service and Incorrect Product

I recently had a negative experience with Parts Avatar (partsavatar.ca), and I have to say, it was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had with a Canadian company. I ordered a Left side upper control arm, but instead I received what was clearly a Right side control arm. The ABS wire brack was on the wrong side, and it did not even seem to be for the same car.

I reached out to their online chat support, but unfortunately they were not much help. They simply directed me to follow the website directions and assured me that I would receive a refund. I ended up having to pay for the return shipping myself, which was quite frustrating. I waited the 10 business days that was outlined in their policy, but still did not receive any communication from them.

When I finally did receive my refund, it was only 60% of what I had originally paid. This was especially frustrating, as their policy clearly states that they will refund fully plus shipping expenses if it is their fault. When I reached out to their online support again, they said they would investigate and get back to me, but unfortunately this never happened.

A few days later, I had to contact them yet again, only to be told that I didn't know what I was talking about and that the part I received was the right one. I even went so far as to send them pictures clearly showing the ABS bracket being on the wrong side, but they simply stopped answering my emails at that point.

All in all, it was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I would caution others to approach any future purchases with Parts Avatar with caution, especially if customer service is a priority for you.
