Terrible service
I visited party city in Harvey, LA on 9/14/22. The cashier’s name was Shannon, he refused to walk from one side of the counter to the other in order to get a balloon number for a balloon order. After making me walk back and forth, he kept throwing things on the counter that I was buying with the worst attitude, while huffing and puffing and sucking his teeth and rolling his eyes.
The other girl refused to help me with my order because she was too busy chatting with a family member of hers.
This is terrible service and since this is the only location we are stuck dealing with it. What a terrible way to treat a paying customer.
Worker name Amaya
On 9/3/2022 at 4:00 pm w my wife and I went to Vallejo Party City to buy balloons. Amaya a Party City employee refused to blow up balloons that we purchased. only blew them up 40 minutes after we purchased them because the register was not cooperating with the refund we finally demanded. Amaya would not talk to us or make eye contact and would constantly text while in front of us. She was treating all customers like this. Party City needs undercover boss at this location.

Bad customer services, rude attitude
Walked into party city and Vallejo around 3pm on Monday, August 8, 2022 waiting in line to be helped lady continue to blow up balloons and ignore me when she finally comes over she didn’t say hi or great me already Sense attitude when I asked if it was the correct price she replied rudely is this all. She didn’t ask if I still wanted the items, just assumed I was paying for it. She was also staring at my child for playing with a balloon on displace. So I said I don’t want the items thanks and no reply so I walked out… People have no manners and seems like she doesn’t like her job. Last time I will be visiting party city in Vallejo, CA
Desired outcome: Have better people working the floors …. Train to be polite and now how to be in costumer service ..

I walked into PartyCity Richmond, Ca (94806), at 10:30am. There were 3 women looking at balloons. I chose to wait patiently behind them to give them space (COVID/6 feet). I wanted to look at balloons and choose the colors I wanted as well. The cashier (young woman with braids and a mask under her chin), was in the process of helping a customer. She looks at me standing behind the three women, turned around and mumbled something. I said "excuse me" because I didn't hear her. As she walks away she says, "there is no line…but ok." What does that even mean? Was that customer service or sarcasm? Is that how management communicates with customers?
Chose not to purchase at this location.
Complete order not received
My husband purchased a balloon kit for me for Valentine's Day. It included 12 heart balloons and a Teddy Bear balloon, but the Teddy Bear balloon was not received. I contacted the Great Northeast Plaza location in Philadelphia and was told that it wasn't available and Party City would issue a refund for the Bear. Fast forward a week and still no refund. I contacted the store again and was told I needed to come in to get a refund. That is an inconvenience. So I contacted the 800 number for Party City and was informed that I would get a refund in 3-4 days. Party City has lost a customer. Make sure you have what a customer orders before you take their money.
New return policy
I purchased a costume on the 31 around 1:50 in the afternoon and my daughter didn't wear it. I tried to return the item and they told me that I would have to had returned it on the 24th but I purchased in the 31st. They said because there is no other Halloween items in store I can't exchange.
When we arrive at the store it was stuff all over the place and the cashiers didn't even greet the customers let alone explain the "new" policy to customer. The manager tried to explain but I was asking questions as she was talking so of course she was rude. Her name is Crystal of the forest vile, MD location.
I also understand policy but employees are not informing customers nor are they explaining the information correctly.,
Management has no accountability
I spoke to the manager at my local Party City yesterday. I was looking for a black cat costume for my daughter. Size medium teen. He said that the item was available, took my info, and said that it would be held in my name. I was very thankful, because my husband is a cancer patient, and has been very ill, so I haven't had the time to shop for my kids. I called a second time before closing last night, just to make sure that the costume was still there and being held for me. I was assured that it was. I went to Party City today to pick up the costume, and there was no costume set aside with my name, but they tried to sell me a childrens size small instead! I asked to speak to the manager, and he made no effort at all to try to help me! He just said they don't have it, and that's all! The manager is breaking a contract that he made with me over the phone. I explained what I was looking for, he offered to set it aside for me to purchase within a 48 hour time period, and I accepted. The manager of Party City broke the contract by not making the costume available for purchase. I contacted customer service, but it does not seem that Party City or it's representatives feel that they have any responsibility to uphold contracts made with their customers.
Desired outcome: Party City should make the costume available for me to purchase, at the location and time offered. That would be today.
Halloween item and customer service
I went to party city about 8 o'clock on Tuesday, October 26 and the last resort to find a mask to go with a costume I had purchased online and part of it was missing and this was for my son I brought it home it did not fit so Wednesday morning went to return it and they would not allow it saying no returns after the 24th. I was uninformed there are no advertisements about this anywhere and I asked for a store credit or if I could do an exchange and they were just very not understanding I understand company policies but I really wish Customer Service could be better and also inform customers because I would not have purchased this to begin with if that's were the case. I went back again today to speak to a manager and they were very unprofessional and I'm never going to shop at the store again I will contact better business Bureau and write some reviews on how you treat customers or don't work with customers unless a resolution can be made

I received the below confirmation from Party City and after one and half hour got another email where my order was cancelled. Are you playing with the sentiments of people where you can confirm an order and cancel it anytime. I want an action be taken against the store and the manager. When I contacted the store they just hung up on me. Is this the way you do business.

I needed balloons for a party. Called party city in advance to see if an order was needed, checked the website, listen to the voicemail and in all instances was told that no orders were needed in advance. The message stated that I could pick up balloons and they would be filled while I shop. When I got to party city today the manager told me this only applies on week days but orders are needed in advance on weekends I kindly request this information be made public on websites, voicemails, etc. ended up getting my balloons at dollar store.

I went in to buy a graduation foil balloon. I found this really nice one with the price of $3.49 ... the cashier refused to honor that price even went as far as to say that they don't have that balloon anymore which was a lie ... right in front of me was a sign that read that as a costumer I have the right to whatever lowest price advertised.

Ordered balloons to be delivered a week in advance. Paid for all, balloons not delivered. Called Coral Springs store and was told they came and we weren't there. We were there since 9:30 am and no balloon delivery came. Spoke to a very unhelpful employee, asked for a manager, got Devon. Also unhelpful! Finally after me having to raise my voice, he called Uber again and sent them out. Balloons arrived after guests. We were then told by delivery driver that the first delivery was attempted at the wrong location. I gave park name, pavilion name and all other pertinent information. Devon told me it's a "third party" delivery so he couldn't help me. He couldn't call to locate delivery or get a status.
Do what you need to do to be sure your customers get what they paid for! Very poor customer service! Very embarrassing for us!

On 12/11/2020 I made an order for delivery on 12/13/2020 between 1:00-2:00 from Party city Kenilworth NJ. At 1:38 pm I called Kenilworth for the status of my delivery I was informed by Shelby that my order had not been picked up yet and she would call me when it left the store. Around 1:45 I called again because I wanted to let her know that I needed these items before 3:00. She said hold on let me check something out. After being on hold for awhile I was disconnected. I'm not sure if it was an accident or on purpose. I tried recalling and she never answered the phone again. I kept calling and the phone just rang. Finally at 2:34 my order was delivered.
