digitel bad service
I am a Digitel subscriber and I had a 128kbps speed but I applied for the new Bida 832kbps around June-July 2008 that was bundled with a landline phone, when the technician came and setup everything it was fine and the speeds were incredibly fast but after 3 hours of use the speed went back to the old speed which is 128kbps. For months now I have been complaining that my speed isn't what I applied for and I am paying for the 832kbps for a 128kbps connection? Everytime I call they just keep saying we'll just follow it up and send the report to our Technician Team. After 1 week the technician team came but they said the speed was fine and left right away, but when I checked the speed it was 128kbps not the 832kbps I applied for! I called once again the Digitel hotline in Manila and filed a complaint that my speed isn't what I applied for and they filed it but after 1 week I called again and followed up my complaint. They just said we'll send the complaint to our Technician Team in Laoag. After 1 month nothing happened, so I called again and complained that they haven't done nothing and I am paying for an 832kbps connection. I got tired of it so I went to the office in Laoag City and complained and they said ok we are sorry for the inconvience, i'll file the report right here. After 1 month nothing again, I got tired of Digitel's services and I didn't pay for it for 4 months and yet my internet still works and they haven't cut it off yet. I went back to the office hoping they'll hear me out on my complaint, so I went back and complained once again about the speed I applied for is not the speed i'm getting. So they pointed me to a person and I told her my complaints and she said "Oh yes, your the household that keeps complaining alot. I remember you called last time. I said yes, yet you haven't done your end of the deal which is keep me your customer happy with your services". So she said "I'm sorry, but let me file your complaint here and we'll see what will happen". So I said thank you have a nice day. After 2 weeks still nothing, no one came to my household to fix my damn internet connection speed. I am getting tired of Digitel's crappy customer service and their damn lies saying they will fix my internet connection speed.
I said I wanted to terminate my line since they are not providing me with the service I thought I would receive from them yet they said to me "have you been a subscriber of Digitel for 2 years?" I said "I don't know check your files since it's all there including my complaints" yet they said if you cut off your line without completing the 2 year contract then there will be a termination fee.
So I said forget it, i'll just wait for your technician to come and resolve my problem. But no one is coming to my household to save the day. I'm still stuck with a 128kbps and paying for a 832kbps connection, I am not a happy camper in the woods of Digitel.

Originally signed up for landline with internet and paid P1227.00.After 1 week nothing had happened so I attend their office.I am told it is scheduled for 2 days time.
No one came that day so 2 days later I attend their office again.Told yes will be in afternoon.No on appeared.Next week I atttend office again only to be told that I would need to pay an extra charge for additional cabling.
I informed them that this was never made known to me when I first paid deposit and I wished to cancel.They told me refund would be 2-3 weeks and they would contact me.They never have despite 2 letters written to them.

Ako rin po..nag apply ako sa kanila nung.. month of nov. they told me n 2-3 days daw po makakabitan na kami ng internet.. hanggang lumipas na yung 2008, at nag palit n ng 2009.. wala pa rin ng yayari.. lalo na yung department dian sa Dasmariñas, Office... grabe.. pinapabalik-balik lang nila yung mga customer nila, , , 1 time pag punta ko dun for follow up.. meron isang customer din me nakasabay, , galit na galit na nagpunta dun sa office ng Dasma, Branch, , at sabi dun sa isang agent ng DIGITEL "hoy, , nakikilala mo na ba ako sa ilang linggo kong pabalik-balik ko dito sa opisina nio? puro kayo follow up. wala naman kayo ginagawa...anu na pangalan mo? at irereport kita sa Main Office ng DIGITEL" im not mention it the name of the agent.. kasi nakakhiya talaga... when i heard it nag dalawang isip na ako.. na baka ganun nga talaga yung sistema ng DIGITEL dito sa DASMA, BRANCH.. wla silang sistema dun... nakahihiya... kung dapat palitan palitan na., , nakakasira sila ng imgae ng DIGITEL.. marami pa naman nag sabi sakin na maganda sa DIGITEL.. panu ko irerecomend sa iba yung digitel if ganyan yung nakita at ngyari saki?...

My internet connection was installed about a year ago, for the first week when it was already "installed" and supposedly activated it was not functioning at all. Then for the rest of the month and the month after, the connection will not last 5 seconds. It will be enough to actually load google, but before you even type in your search phrase, you're bandwidth is long dead and gone. After the internet connection was "fixed" the 256 Kbp/s that they promised, was apparently a misleading statement. 256 Kbp/s stands for (as far as they're concerned) KILO BITS PER Second, which is the equivalent of 25 Kilobytes per sec, and that is on a good day; usually the speed of the connection will only be at around 4 Kilobytes per sec, the speed of a defective dial up connection. And here we are now about a year later, having the same problems as when I first subscribed, the connection is disconnecting every 5 secs. (If you're asking why I haven't unsubscribed, that's because they are the only ISP up here in antipolo that provides DSL.) Oh and just so that you know, between a report and an "actual fix" their turnaround time is about 2 months, so it's quite fun (as my neighbor said) to unsubscribe from the service, and then have the service crew arrive at your doorstep a week after. Ladies and Gentlemen, Digitel, the Internet service provider from hell.

got probs too with digitel.. im a subscriber of digitel phone line for years, i was using smartbro before digitel kept bugging me, kept calling and offering their net service. i decided to switch to them since ive a lot of prob with smartbro net connections. i was convinced that dgitel net service is way better kase daw 512kbps and 999 lng a month along with my phone line na.. it was totally a WASTE OF TIME... i waited for a month for approval, hnd nako nagback out dahil napabayaan ko n ung smartbro ko hnd ko na pinaayos ung net ng smartbro ko dahil sa knila.. after a month approved then i waited again for so long para sa installation more than a month, technician went to our house while i wasn't home, they just left the modem and never came back.. i waited again for few weeks for installer, then i ended up installing the modem myself. it was successfully installed BUT from then on i cant download movies, the Internet connection is very, awfully slow and i cant use my phone and Internet at the same time.. ### crap! eversince i subsribed to them ive been callign their so-called technical super that is obviously not technically inclined agents! i kept telling them why they call themselves technical support when them cant even answer my very simple technical questions (this is because im a techincal support also of networking devices hnd lng sa phils.)... recently icalled them and their calling themselves na as Customer Support... See? they've just realized that they are really doing it so wrong, when you call tech support you expect that people you will be talking to are technical, evenif they're not so technical they should at least know simple networking problems and solutions.. isa pa, while i was waiting for a month for installation... i was billed for that month! i called in, complained and complained and was told that they're going to do something about it but until now wala rin ngyari.. i even told them that i will have my phoneline terminated too because of the poor service i get... i dont have internet connection right at this moment at super tagal na, ive already called them so many times and all i get is 'nasa field na po ung problem nio, pakimonitor nlng po, paki hintay nlng po and technician, within 24hrs po ang waiting ng feedback nila' ...24 hrs? it's been almost a month na!

i've been scammed!
I'm a regular Dsl subscriber until i had my internet connection upgraded to a better speed. It's been good during the first 1 and a half month or so. By the month of May 2008, speed went down to almost 80% which is much lower than my previous speed (before the upgrade). I've been complaining for almost a month now and NOBODY listens. Nobody seems to be doing anything to restore the right speed I've been paying for.
Right now i have called them(their help desks) more than 40 times and the best they could do was FOLLOW-UP/INFORM/COORDINATE their imaginary TECHNICAL TEAM!
They did nothing to help me for almost a MONTH now. I've been SCAMMED! They've been stealing my money right to my face and i can't do anything about it...If i decide to have my connection terminated, they told me i have to pay the fee!(equal to 2 months bill). It wasn't my fault yet I'd have to be paying is insane!

Digitel's service is total crap. I don't even know where to begin with what I want to say about their BS service. October 9th 2009 to October 17th 2009 no internet apparently due to a cut fiber optic and server issues.. BS! Internet restored on 18th October but very slow.. October 26th until now, currently November 1, no internet yet again. Customer service is so useless and can only tell you that they are escalating the report to upper management which again is BS! They are still trouble shooting... ? 7 days of trouble shooting? do their techinicians or network engineers even know what the hell they are doing?
Being based in Binangonan Rizal, I am left with very limited options for internet service providers. I use my internet for business where all my clients are overseas so needless to say with all this downtime I have lost thousands of DOLLARS worth of business. I only chose Digitel in the beginning because they offered an option for static IP which I needed and it was only supposed to be a 12month contract but now they are trying to tell me it's 30mths. BS Company, BS Service, BS Support...
I have only mentioned a couple of the issues here as if I noted them all it would fill numerous pages of this site.. VERY UNHAPPY AND DISGRUNTLED Digitel Subscriber

SCAM TALAGA YANG DIGITEL NA YAN...nag apply ako ng 1.5Mbps pero ang nakukuha ko lang 210Kbps. Nung nag reklamo ako sa reginal office nila sa Lucena binagsakan ako ng telepono ng manager nila "Mr. Gunio" ang pangalan. Hindi lang Digitel ang may problema pati ang mga tao nila.
Pag tumatawag ka naman sa hotline nila ang puro hingi lang ng sorry wala namang gingawa. Ayusin nyo naman serbisyo ninyo Digitel!
Dapat kasi di pinapayagan magoperate yan eh! Gawa naman sana ng aksyon ang Gobyerno para mawalan ng license ang Digitel...

Ganun din po ang nangyayari sa amin ngaun, kasi apply po kami ng service nila last dec, sa molino branch nila, sabi naman ng taga molino branch na nakausap namin doon wala na daw available line. Tapos sabi ng isang security guard doon ay iwanan ko nalang daw ang cell no. ko sa kanila para kung sakali tatawagan daw nila ako kung may available nang line. Ganun na nga ang ginawa ko iniwan ko ang cell no. ko sa kanila.
Then the next day, nakatanggap nga ako ng tawag na nagtatanong kung nagAAPPLY daw ako ng LINE W/ INTERNET sabi ko naman OO, tapos sabi niya hantay lang daw kami hangga 4pm at pupuntahan daw kami sa location kung saan ikakabit yung LINE, dumating naman sila kasama yung agent na si MILET at sales supervisor na si ROMY BALUYOT.
Unang tanong ko sa kanila ay kung may LINE na ikakabit sa amin, sagot ni ROMY, meron po sir. Tinanong ko din kung ilang araw aabutin bago maikanit yung LINE, sagot ni MILET seven(7) to ten(10) days max. maikakabit na.
Kinabukasan inihanda ko yung requirements sa application, pati na yung fee na P2, 200.00. Tapos bumalik sila para mapirmahan yung contract, at kunin yung pera na P2, 200.00 para sa advance payment daw.
Tapos hanga ngayon, dina nagparamdam yung dalawa, tawag naman ako sa office nila, FOLLOW-UP/INFORM/COORDINATE sa kanilang imaginary TECHNICAL TEAM!
Tapos tawag ako ulit, sabi nila sa office bago daw mag NEW YEAR maikakabit na daw, pero wala parin dumating na anino ng DIGITEL.
Halos araw araw na akong follow-up sa kanila, hanga kaninang hapon FOLLOW-UP/INFORM/COORDINATE sa kanilang imaginary TECHNICAL TEAM na naman ang SAGOT nila.
Sana matawagan na sila ng pansin...

Yes it was a scammed dahil priority nila ung incentive na makukuha ng mga managers, bakit alam ko dahil may friend ako sa digitel, at isa pa hindi nagtatrabaho nag maayos ung mga staff nila dahil sa lihit ng sahod. pero kung maningil ang kumpanya sobra. ang ginagawa ng ibang technician pati managers nag sasideline kung ano ang side line secret? mag-invistigate kayo. dahil sa kumpanya din galing ang sideline nila.

Digitel is advertising several plans for DSL ranging from 384Kbps to 1.5Mbps under the Bida program bunndled with a landline. After installation of a Bida 1232/832 Kbps line, it only tested an average of 431Kbps. The best I got was 450Kbps so it was close in every test in the mid 400 range or half of the advertised 832Kbps. I have placed several called to customer support and they say that they have checked the line and its just busy before 10pm and after 8am. I checked it after during non-busy times and my speed didn't change. The modem reports 512Kbps download speed as well. I ask customer support to change my plan to 512Kbps since that is closer to the speed I get and they said the office had to do it. I went into the office today and the customer support rep stated that "you will only get half of the speed on the flyer". I ask why do they advertise the rates falsely and to change my plan or give me the rate I signed up for. I don't know what my next step is besides a complaint to DTI or get a private laywer.

I applied for **Digitel 888** or Digitel and Internet package but i was stress with their very poor service. I have reported a service disruption due to no dial tone/noisy line & every time we encounter brownouts or simply blink of lights our line was disconnected. I keep calling hotline 1200 and what they always tell me is that they will make report and give report number, it will take 3 - 6 days or more before they connect it, wasted time & money. Now I know why they let as sign a contract. I am sick and tired for this i personally request to cut my line account, and i pay 2 months for this. VERY GOOD Digitel! I pay for something i don't even use! Well i can say is that the Company SUCKS!
Now my line has been terminated as of June 18, 2012 with CCS Validation of Mr. Liomel Pantua at Sta. Rosa branch with proof of billing and copy of Request for Disconnection with their appropriate signature, WHY? I still received monthly billing...! I request your billing departments that my line is no longer active or permanently disconnected. Thank you.
We subscribe digitel last Jun 2010 when we transferred in Angono Rizal when we need internet connections for communication with my family when I was assigned overseas. Most of the time, there are problems with the internet connections and I wasnt able to communicate continuously with my family. Even in weekends, where I am just staying in my accommodation and its supposedly bonding time with my kids no connections for 2 mos. Now, I am back after 2 years and requesting digitel to disconnect our landline and internet service. They said its already cut and just waiting for the return of the modem. Now, upon checking, the line was still working and we are billed for 2 mos and digitel is now asking disconnection fee of 2400 pesos. We already serve the 2 years contract and disconnection fee should not be collected from us. Please bear with your consumers and be considerate!

Feb. 2011 nahikayat ako ng inyong agent na si Nelson Bordeos na magpakabit ng Internet Connection Plan 999, 768Kbps dahil sa ino-offer nyang free cellphone. Nagbayad ako sa kanya ng installation fee na higit P2, 000.00. Naikabit naman agad kaso ang libreng cellphone ay sa opisina na lang daw kunin.Unfortunately wala akong nakuhang libreng cellphone at hindi ko rin halos napakinabangan ang internet dahil sa sobra nitong bagal. March 3, 2011 nagpasya ang Father ko na isauli nalang ang modem at ang telephone unit at ipa-cancel na rin ang linya. Sa pagkakaalam ko na naipacancelled na ito dahil wala naman dumating na billing sakin. Nagulat nalang ako ngayong Dec. na may babayaran pa daw akong P3, 027.37 napaka unfair naman sa amin nito, hindi namin ito napakinabangan.Kung kayo ang nasa sitwasyon ko makatarungan ba na hindi ko napakinabangan at ngayon magbabayad pa ako? Sana po'y maging malawak ang inyong pag-unawa.

In the past month... Napansin kong naglagay sila ng Bandwith cap pag magddownload ka ng files. I have a 512 Kbps connection, ang ginagamit kong download managaer ay Flashget. Pag dating ng 8:32 am dun na lumalabas yung bandwith cap from 51 kb/s to 32 kb/s. Ngayong week ginawa nilang 25 kb/s ang CAP. Very Obvious yung paglagay nilagay ng CAP, sa start ng download ko ang sabi ng bandwith meter 52 kb/s but after 4 secs bigla syang baba ng 32 kb/s flat... pero ngayong week 25 kb/s. Bago matapos january may pumuntang digitel technician sa kapitbahay namin at tinanong ko regarding dito. Oo daw naglagay nga daw sila ng bandwith cap dahil magpapalit daw sila ng STM papalitan ng mas malaking capacity. (tinanong ko kung ano ang STM pero hindi nya rin alam) Ang nilagyan nila ng Cap ay yung mga 2 mbps subcribers and below. Pero that was Last December pa bago magbagong taon. Febuary na at hindi pa nila tinatanggal ang CAP! Unjust ang Profit nila!

for me i think the problem are the technician, pag wala ka padulas di ka pupuntahan man lang kahit abutin pa ng ilang buwan ka sa ka rereport, dapat sa mga technician na yan tinatanggalan ng trabaho masyado abusado. hapit gumawa ng deskarte.mga pinapasahod naman ... sa Dasmarinas office to...saka sa GMA office...
mga walanghiya ang mga taga digitel. niloloko nila ang mga subscriber nila. sana kunin na ni LORD ang digitel, mga putang ina nyong taga digitel.
kapapakabit ko lang sa digitel 512 kbps sabi ko sa mga anak ko masisiyahan na sila dun pero nagkamali pala ako. Yung 512 kbps kadalasan ang ibinibigay nya lang ay 97 kbps masyadong mababa para dun sa expected na kinuha ko. Buti pa dun sa ibang net work pag sinabing 376 kbps talagang yun ang dating o humina man konti lang ang difference.

I am making a follow up report on the matter concerning our credit adjustments, rebates & bill disputes:
1. line transpose issue : june 11- june 18, 2007
2. no dsl connection: august 21 to september 11, 2007
3. rebates made 10 months advance payments. happy deal
4. illegitimate calls/charges billing pd. of 15 aug - 14 sep 2007 (p 6.00 total calls made thru the time announcement 113-1).
On our monthly statement of account I just currently received, for the billing period of 15 dec 2007 - 14 jan. 2008 the approved and expected refund of p630.06 expedited by csr sally srbc has not yet transpire on our home phone/dsl - happy deal plan account and the rebates for advance payments.
At this point in time for the past 8 months from day one this matter has been reported june 11 2007 & numerous follow-ups has been made each and every month (ref or report nos. 3807282) this has been addressed to the head office (mr lance & john gokongwei, jr. and nimfa romero of sta. rosa buss. center, 1710 help desk: sandy antonio santillan and ken silverio) I am urgently requesting a feedback & a concerete outcome and specified date when this credit will be reflected on our monthly statement of account.

I have been 24 hours without internet and their customer service number is not working, and their office is closed on the weekend.
They have no live chat and no other way to contact a technician or customer support agent.
This service is really the worst ever.
I don't want to say the F**k word but with the service you guys have are totally worth shaming off. Your supervisors are not trained to handle difficult concerns which made them pathetic. Your agent who doesn't follow telecommunications act. How i wish you guys go bankrupt.

I've been reaching your technicians i guess a month ago but still i haven't received feedbacks from him, kindly improve on costumer service and how to handle per area
And now its been 1 month since slow speed of internet and no dial tone on the telephone make sure it will also reflect on your bills
We cannot receive & call outgoing calls for more than a month already, unit needs replacement according to my friends [protected]. This needs to be resolved as soon as possible, just find time to search how to lodge complaint hence am always out of town for travels, my kids are the ones left at home and they don't know what to do. Thank you.
I have been trying to get help for our telephone line to be fixed. It's been a month and nothing has been done. It's impossible to get through to their customer hellline. PLDT should at least try to show concern to their paying clients.
They just cut our lines without informing us. They left their boxes hanging dangerously along the sidewalk.

they sent me a fibr modem without informing me with the switch and also I have declined ahead.
the new modem incurs issue and whenever i call them no solution were made.
i was also placed on hold while speaking. while writing this I have been on hold for 40 mins.
their customer service is a total [censored] and their service is beyond failure.
Its been 5 days since our internet and dial tone stop. No email or any information has been sent on us but the billing is still active what kind of service provider are you.? Do you even know the word fair? Or your company was just a total scumbags. Even your hotline cannot be contact. 30 mins on hold still no answer. Your service is hell

my dsl bundled with telephone line was installed last august 07, 2009 but a few days after i encounter an intermittent connection...and on august 14, 2009 the damn connection was totally gone. i called the 1710 customer assistance to inform the problem but it took more than two weeks to fix the no connection problem..i'm not sure if it was already fixed because this is the first try to make online after the restoration 4 hours ago..no words heard coming from the digitel even i gave to them my contact numbers.i call that damn 1710 twice a day but the same old looks like recorded response, "your problem sir was already endorsed to our technical department and maybe they are doing the troubleshooting right now..." hell..bad service.slow connection..can be overtaken by a turtle with disability... feels like that i'm caught on a bait plotted by the digitel...help..
hope that they will fix all the problem...or else..
i am from san miguel, sto tomas, batangas. before they have an office at sto tomas but they consolidated it with lipa branch in batangas too. since their transfer the services became bad. most of the time i have intermittent internet connection so is the dial tone. for the last 2 weeks my line is dead. i have been lodging complaints but to no avail. the payment clerk and customer service in lipa keep on promising that the technician will come but up to now for the last 2 weeks no one from digitel crew comes. digitel people my digitel tel no is 318 2305. pls. pls. pls.
i would attest to the complaints of my fellow digi[censored] adsl subscribers. When you guys are offering the service, you almost promised us the sun & the moon. Now we're stuck in your stupid broadband connection. I always call your customer service hotline but keeps on hearing the same old reasons that there's a technical ### occuring in my area. It seems like forever. Why don't you train your csr's to practice a new spiel. One more thing, one of your csr's promised me that a tech would come by to fix this mess but until now I don't see even a shadow of your tech. Not to mention that it's been almost 2mos now. Also, please update your bills bcoz I keep on recieving an overdue amount monthly when in fact, i have been paying a complete amount for a very unsatisfying service.
