Pods
Picked up delivery as promised , then told after taken to a Wearhouse I had not signed a rental agreement. Signed within 30 minutes of receiving. Found out night of delivery it had been cancelled by Pod and will now take a week later to arrive to its destination less than 200 miles away. This leaves a 90 year old lady un able to move into an assisted living home and get the medical care she missed for a week started. customer service is un able to work with you and refused to provide a person or phone number above them when asked. They also double billed us - told accounting error.
PODS - charging my credit card post cancellaton
I canceled my POD order on January 31st after company management never got back to me over a ten day period regarding questions about drop off location. On February 2nd, I open my online banking and discover $1500.00 charged on my credit card. I am in the midst of relocation and needed my money. I am told I will be refunded in 5-7 business days. Unacceptable. If a company can instantly debit your account they can automatically credit your account. This isn't any way to treat customers when we have so many other alternatives. Bad business.
Desired outcome: REFUND my money today.

DO NOT USE PODS
I rented a POD for 5 months. When it was delivered the door was jammed. When I got the door open the contents were all shaken up. It was as if the POD had been turned upside down. My furnishings were scratched, broken and badly damaged. I contacted PODS immediately. I sent photos of the POD when I opened it and the damages.
It has been one month and no one has got back to me with an update or a solution.
I WILL NEVER USE PIDS AGAIN.
Desired outcome: PODS to pay for my damages.
Staffing and delivery service
I have been an account holder for years. Customer Number [protected]
My account has always been a delivery and pick up service as you hold all of my various holiday decor. Over the last year — every single time my pod is redelivered to your facility it is lost which then in turn disables my account, I cannot then access my account online and I must sit on eternity hell hold with you all to rectify this situation. Today I called in and the lady that took my call 12:00 noon EST was rude as all can be, She was talking over me, was not listening and then placed me on an additional hold and I am still sitting on there now fuming at her unprofessionalism. I pay (and have paid you) alot of money to hold my stuff NOT to lose it, me not have access to my account and to have to wait for YOU to answer my calls. Last month the guy could see all my frustrations and gave me a $25 credit Wow! $25 for me to waste hours upon hours of my time calling you all.
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund of my account
Damage to house

Believe me I have literally 100 unanswered emails and proof of calls made !

Restitution for property damage during pod delivery

Incident Report Number 2102058
In April, 2021 we contracted with the Pods Moving and Storage Co. to rent two of their pods, have them delivered and picked up at our old house, stored with our belongings and delivered to our new house in Spokane, WA. The entire move went smoothly and the company was very attentive to our needs.
On July 20, 2021, after storing our belongings for several months a Pods driver delivered the two full pods to our new address in Spokane, WA. When placing the first pod on our driveway, the driver allowed one of the wheel sets of the delivery device (Podzilla) to wander onto our next door neighbor's lawn. We called his attention to the problem, but by then there were deep tracks in the very manicured lawn and a large branch on a plum tree had been severely cracked. The driver corrected the drift of the wheel set and remained professional and apologetic throughout the rest of the delivery. The driver did say that his manager was going to come later in the day to survey the damage to the lawn and tree. We were outside the rest of the day, we did not see the manager at any time.
The next day, July 21st I contacted the Pods company through their 800 number and was assigned an Incident Report number 2102058. I was told that I would be contacted in 48 hours. That contact was not made. I called the Pods several times a week, requesting escalation to decision makers. After pushing politely but firmly, we received the first contact from a Customer Advocacy Specialist on August 10, 2021 in an email.
Alex Luedy
Customer Advocacy Specialist
[protected]
We responded to the Specialist's request and sent pictures of the damage and invoices for the repairs. The neighbors are very proud of their yard. The damage caused them severe stress. Without a meaningful response from the Pods company, I arranged for repairs.
We made repeated calls to the Specialist to confirm that he or she had received our material. No response until August 24 where Mr/Ms Luedy wrote again, stating that they had not received our pictures. On that date we reset the original email and several more pictures of the repairs. Again, weekly calls have been made to Luedy asking for confirmation that our email had been received. As of [protected] we have received no reply to our inquiries.
I am asking to be reimbursed for the money I have spent on repairs, on consultation with an arborist, on supplies to repair the tree, my hours working on the tree repairs and time spent on the phone attempting to get a response from Pods.
Monster Lawn Care - Sod replacement $1, 525.00
Bartlett Tree Experts - Consultation $120.00
Lowe's Hardware - Threaded Rods and Bolts $46.46
2 hours my time repairing tree $100.00
Time spent on phone, documenting the issue $208.54
Total $2000.00
Desired outcome: I am asking to be reimbursed for the money I have spent on repairs, on consultation with an arborist, on supplies to repair the tree, my hours working on the tree repairs and time spent on the phone attempting to get a response from Pods.
Over charged for service
My name is Stephanie Raddatz and I paid PODS to use one of their large 16 foot shipping containers with my things from Long Beach California to Jacksonville Florida in January of 2021, this year. After finding a place to live in Daytona Fla. I requested PODS move my container to Daytona Fla. In August of 2021. After all of that was done I checked my account on line with PODS and was shocked to see that there were 22 transactions on my account for only a 8 month period. When I called to find out why a man told me I was charged over $11, 000.00 when I should have been charged less than $7, 000.00 to ship and store ONE large container. First of all the accounting PODS uses is confusing. It look like PODS HAS OVER CHARGED ME OVER $4, 000.00. When I called or tried to contact PODS about this they hung up the phone on me and were rude and refused to talk to me. I do not want to make this a legal matter but if I have been over charged I would like for it to be corrected or PODS will leave me no choice but to seek legal recourse.
Desired outcome: Refund money owed to me
Billed for service not received
On June 12 of this year my Pod was delivered from the storage facility on Lawrence Ave. in Atlanta, GA.
On June 13th, I was charged the Monthly Rental of Container in Storage Center although my possessions were not in the facility. It was my understanding the monthly fee is secure and protect my property at the Pods facility, i.e., secure my goods for me, and I needed to schedule a visit to access the pod.
According to the Pods representatives, although my possessions were not in your Storage Center I owe the monthly fee.
I have scoured the website and asked associate for documentation to support this position with no luck. According to the associates, the fee is not for onsite storage (as indicated on the post heading) but for the pod rental. Which is it.? Am I to believe the posting says it's for one thing but it in fact is for something else? Do I understand that monthly rental of a pod is $274.99 a month.

Atlanta, GA
Desired outcome: Refund for storage fee
Property damage
The pods delivery driver damaged my roof and gutters on July 10, 2021. I filled and incident report immediately and was told someone would contact me within 24-48 hours. So far no one has contacted me. I've made phone calls, live chats, left voice mail messages and emails. I've sent photos and an estimate of the damages. So far all I get is someone will call me. It's been almost 2 months and NO call from anyone.
Desired outcome: Fix my property

My name is Janet Cheatham. My order number is 2797896. My customer number is [protected]. I spoke with your office in California yesterday. I have a delivery set up for June 19th for deliver and pick up same day. I asked the clerk to call the warehouse and find out if the pod would be delivered in the morning or afternoon. I need this information so I can hire laborers to pack. We are elderly and can not do this ourselves. I was told that I could not find out t his information until the day before delivery of the pod. I explained I would not be able to hire the laborers with a 1 day notice. I was information there was nothing they could do. I am paying over $2, 000 for this pod and feel that my request is extremely reasonable. Could you PLEASE speak with someone and let me know if the pod will be delivered morning or afternoon? I am sending a copy of this request to the BBB to let them know of my dissatisfaction.
Desired outcome: Delivery time for pod
Water Damage to contents of a POD
Delivery March 4 2021 Incident # 2027455
I called on March 8th to report water intrusion in POD during transit and sent photos of damaged items. Alex Leudy, Customer Advocacy sent an email and I responded with photos. I have emailed him 3 times and called 3 times and left voicemail with no response. There was some minor damage from the water on items not worthy to report but there were two items I expected compensation for. A section of my desk and the frame replacement for an original signed Miro that was purchased for $6k. The art was not damaged, just the frame.
I paid $50 for contents protection while in transit. I have used PODS 3 times in the past and have never had water intrusion happen in the POD. The minimal expectation is that the contents remain dry. They are not addressing quality control issues of older PODS. I am asking for $500 to pay for a portion of the damaged items. Thank you for your assistance.
Desired outcome: $500 reimbursement to assist with replacement
Pod was not delivered to destination on time. Still waiting.
March 18, 2021. Paid about 2700. Pod was picked up in Bakersfield CA on time March 26. Was to be delivered to Baytown TX April 5. Called Pods the day we left, and asked if the Pod was picked up, confirmed, and I asked several times if everything was good to be delivered to Baytown TX. They said yes. All documents were signed! April 5 comes and no Pod. I have disputed this ( case # 2037828) on April 5 2021. Still no response. Customer # [protected]. Order #2655269
Desired outcome: Full Refund
Moving
Incident 02/05/2021. Customer # 138341307. I will begin by stating the problems began on the day of closing of our home. We closed that morning at 10:am in Winchester Va. and headed to Lakeland Fl. while we were on the road got a call from realtor telling us the persons who purchased the home did a walk thru and electric wasn't working and they called a electrician who found that the Pod driver had clipped the power line leading into the house and shorted the refridge and microwave out ruining them. Needless to say to keep them from backing out of the home sale I had to purchase them new ones plus pay the electrician for a emergency call at the cost of $2500.00. I received $850.00 from my insurance so I think Pods should be responsible for the remainder of $ 1650.00. I have contacted pods by email and of today I have only received one response back asking for pictures and documents which is hard to do when I'm in Lakeland Fl. 14 hours away and when I do respond back to the email address all I receive is out of office till some date and never get a reply.
Desired outcome: Return my money I had to pay back to purchaser of home.
Failure to deliver/abide scheduling
I contacted the PODS company in mid December 2020. I paid for the container to be delivered as well as the transit fee of over $2000. My pod was to be transported out of state 1/8/2021, but they failed to do so. During this mix up, I contacted them many times to sort out the mistakes they made and jobs they should be doing, as well as contacting the compensation department. The female assigned to my case was very unhelpful and told me I just had to keep waiting. There has been no other form of communication with this company since. They have not held up their part of the agreement, no contact I was told I'd get was given. They just continued to take money from my account.
My delivery date was moved from 1/15/21 to 1/21/21. My whole household belongs are still not here. I have not been compensated or communicated with since the contact with the compensation department.
Desired outcome: Refunded my money back
Leaking defective POD
3 of the largest POD containers held our belongings while our new home was being built. 3 months. Upon moving the Pods after the three months, one of the Pods had defective rivets that allowed water to soak into furniture. POD driver assured us that this would be taken care of by the company. Six months later no resolution. The woman who I was referred to does not take calls or return. Files, pictures and receipts have all been given as proof that this was a defective pod. The expense of trying to rid couches of black mold as well as the monetary loss of having to replace is disturbing after paying a substantial sum to PODs for safe storage. The unresponsive customer service speaks to the non professional way of dealing with their customers.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement for cleaning and monetary payment of destroyed furniture
Storage return after cross country move
I worked for 2 months to get my dad prepared to move from Wa. state to IL since he's getting up in years and living alone. I researched and ended up with PODs as the company for storing / moving his belongings. First off, the container arrived 4 hours late, outside the scheduled "window" of time, and not to mention the fact that there was an "adjustment" to...

I am completely disappointed and frankly disgusted at the poor customer service I have received. Firstly, I scheduled 2 separate pickups for my 2 pods on the 8th of july. Only 1 pod was picked up & moved! I had to pay the movers for the full day as I called twice to check the status of the other pod coming & was told it would be there, however late. Second time I called I was told the driver was completing another afternoon move and then doing mine. So, he was sent to move a scheduled afternoon move & ignored my scheduled morning move? Regardless, the second pod never came that day! I had to wait on hold forever and finally schedule it to be moved friday, the 10th! Secondly, I had scheduled both pods to be removed from my new address on monday, the 13th. Saturday the 11th I received a call from a driver saying he was on his way to pick the pod up! I literally had to scramble, alone, to empty the container and get it ready for him to take. Why would he come out 2 full days before? Thirdly, monday the 13th came & went and I still have that second pod here and not removed! I did receive a "pickup window" automated call the night before telling me they will be picking it up. I get home and it is still here! I am literally done with pods and will never ever use again!
Told 1 price now holding my stuff ransom
Was told on April 6th I had to pay $147.50 for them to deliver it to my new place.
Was told 3 days in a row all 8 had to pay was $147.50.
I paid it. That night I received an attomated message I would recieve it between 8-11 the next day. Also received an email stating the same.
The morning of I recieve a message to look at my file. I did. I seen that my delivery is saying not scheduled.
I called then they said the want another $147.50.
So the person I talked to lied to me. The voice recording they sent me was a lie. As well as the email that was sent to me was a lie.
I'm on disability cause I have Spinal sclerosis.
They have received $723 this month from me.
That is almost my intire monthly income. I have nothing left to live on this month.
Your PODS driver
On March 11 I was driving my vehicle heading north on Hillsboro Road in Franklin Tennessee. The lane was merging and I was in front of your pods driver. All of a sudden he put his foot on the gas and started passing me. The road was almost down to one lane and he was intent on running me off the road. I floored it and was able to get around him and back in front. When he pulled up beside me, I decided to take a picture of the pods vehicle door with all the information on it. The guy even held up a sign with his name, Kenny, on it. This man should be fired from your company for acting like this.
mice inside storage container
I stored items in a PODS unit, only to discover, upon opening the unit to remove my goods, that mice had taken up residence inside. Mouse droppings, mouse bedding, shredded papers everywhere. I now have to throw out all the blankets, sheets, mattresses I placed inside the unit. I will then have to repurchase these items that were ruined. I paid a lot of money to PODS, with the expectation that their unit would protect my goods from vermin. Absolutely UNSAT!
