I've frequented Popeyes for years like most people. I've had my fair share of problems but never to the number of issues I have today. Fresno, Ca (McKinley/Fresno St.) has the worse service out of all the Popeyes in the city. 1:10 pm Aug. 5, 2022, is the day I went. They had no popcorn shrimp, no ice, no cole slaw and no fish. They wanted to substitute shrimp for butterfly shrimp and charge me full price. They wanted to charge me for sauce if I didn't buy chicken strips in which they had none. They are also charging $1-$2 more for meals that are advertised on tv for less or on special. I will never go there ever again; I am very dissatisfied with the chicken and service and disappointed. My feelings are because it's located in a lower income neighborhood they're gouging and it's unfair to the consumer. My husband and I both purchased a 5pc at $7.99 plus a side and a lemonade with no ice and the lemonade tasted spoiled or rotten. Our meals came to $32.
Desired outcome: I want to be compensated back or a new meal as a replacement
Double Charge to Credit Card
Last night we purchased a Coupon Special, 5 pcs of chicken w/ 2 sides for $9.99. I picked this meal up at the drive-thru window and paid by credit card ending in 9149. The receipt proved showed the $9.99 purchase.
Later that evening while checking activity on our credit cards we found the Popeyes, 1505 N. DuPont Hiway, New Castle, DE had charged the meal twice, but apparently on separate receipts and only provide me with on.

I went into Store number 2691, which I do every two weeks, to purchase a 16 piece mixed meal (mild) with 6 extra legs (mild). I was waited on by Jade, she didn't seem to happy to be there and barely said anything. I paid for my order and left the store. I didn't realize until I got home that the entire order was incorrect. Today we ordered lunch at noon at the Popeyes at 720 S. Main St. in Graham, NC 27253. After being told to pull over, we waited for 10 minutes to get our food. The 3 tenders were 50% breading and very little chicken. There were no utensils or napkins in with the order. Hard to eat mashed potatoes without a fork or spoon, and chicken without a napkin is downright ridiculous! Then, upon looking at the receipt I discovered I was charged an extra 30 cents for a coke that was supposed to come with the meal, and I DID NOT ask to be upsized.
Overall, this meal makes me think I won't be returning to Popeyes. I've always loved your food, but it seems like everything has gone downhill.
I'm attaching the receipt for our meal. I feel totally ripped off. If you don't get your act together, you won't be around these parts for long!
Because there was NO line at the drive-up window, while the Bojangles right next door had a line all the way out to the highway sort of makes me think lots of folks are feeling the same way!

Please do something about the Popeyes franchise located on West 12th Street in Erie, Pennsylvania. I've been going to this store since it opened, and at first the service wasn't bad, but as time has gone on, it has gone downhill, to the point, where I mostly don't even bother to go there anymore. I have spent up to 40 minutes in the drive through. One time I spent 20 minutes in the drive thru and then got moved ahead and had to wait 10 more minutes. The people aren't friendly and 2 out of 5 times the order will be wrong. The dining room isn't open, and I understand that help is hard to find, but in all fairness, there is a fast-food store located almost right across the street from this facility, and without mentioning names, I recently went there and found myself in front of 15 cars ahead of me in the drive thru lane. To my surprise, I was out of there with my food and a smile in 10 minutes.
I love Popeyes chicken, and I tend to be a very patient person, so I tried once again this evening, 7/29/22, 7PM. After waiting in line, admittedly for a normal amount of time, I was told that they were out of bone-in chicken! I left, frustrated.
Desired outcome: I just want to be able to get Popeyes Chicken in Erie. This store is absolutely ridiculous. I would like a response, to indicate that this letter was not in vain.
5 piece 50th anniversary special
After having read the other complaints on this board, I'm surprised that this is the first problem I've had with Popeye's. I ordered a 6.99 5 piece anniversary special in the drive through, along with a couple of other items. When I got home, instead of the 5-piece, for which I was charged $6.99, I received 2 pieces and a biscuit. Called the store immediately - got voice mail. Phone call never returned. Contacted customer support - no response to my online complaint. How does this company still get away with such horrendous customer service (or lack thereof, I should say) after all these years? And yes, the restaurants are still filthy.
Desired outcome: Money refunded - or giftcard for future purchase.
Chicken
Got 11-piece chicken at the drive thru in Port Orange, Florida. When I got home and opened the box, the chicken was dried out and burnt in spots, and could not be eaten. They should of have put it into the garbage but did not. I have never seen chicken this bad ever, usually Popeyes Chicken is good. I thing someone was trying to pull a funny. I could not even feed it to my dogs.
Condiments Unavailable / Incompetent management
I ate at the Popeyes in Lansing, KS on 25 July 2022. On the entrance door it said "Correct Change Only or Card". After I placed my order, I asked for salt and pepper. They were out. Then I was asked what kind of soft drink I wanted. She informed me the fountain drink station was broke. (I highly doubted that as my intuition was probably right that the crew didn't want to be cleaning it later or it would be directed from higher to serve the drinks themselves to save money.
As I ate my meal, I also heard the crew saying they were out of mayonnaise.
I just observed poor management then was either incompetent or was directed from higher or the Popeyes franchise neglecting its customers products that when ordered could not provide to its customers. Or it will just be blamed on the supply chain delivery trucks. But I then thought that when I eat at the Popeyes on Ft Riley, I have never observed such an outage of condiments that have always been readily available to its customers.
My take away from that observance: I will not eat at that Popeyes ever again, because they do not have condiments available to its customers and a lazy staff.

I ordered a 16 piece half and half tender family meal in the drive thru. The menu said it came with 3 sides, they only offered two. I asked for fries, and beans&rice. And I ordered popcorn shrimp. When I got it home I had a very small hand full of fries, no beans&rice, the chicken was all mixed up and looked the same and the shrimp was maybe a mouthful. I paid over 45$ for this. It was supposed to feed four people and would barely feed two. Also I specifically asked for a receipt and never got it.
Desired outcome: I would like my beans and rice and third side or a full refund. Don't expect any of this to actually happen

On 7/22/2022 my husband and I pulled into Popeyes chicken in Villa Rica Ga and a young female was outside at the large trash container, the large round plastic trash can was in front of her and she was standing there on her cell phone. You could see part of the trash from the can was on the ground. We parked an went inside to place our order. We waited and we saw the same female come in from the trash, she came right to the cash register and took our order without washing her hands, then she fixed our drinks without washing her hands, she said they would have to cook the shrimp so I said I would wait. I’m thinking she will wash her hands before fixing our food. She did not, I told one of the female workers that she came from the trash and had it washed her hands, she told the female worker to was her hands when coming in from the trash. and she either didn’t hear her or ignored her. Then she got boxes out and opened them with bear hands and still had not washed her hands and the whole time she headed us she was scratching in her head (hair). I called another female over and asked if she was the manager, she said yes. I explained to her what happened, she then told the female to wash her hands after taking out the trash, she then left the front thru a side door, I guess to wash her hands. The manager said she would fix our food.
I think this should be addressed, it made me sick to my stomach, seeing the female at the trash and then come in and scratch her head the whole time. I was just glad we were inside to see this. If we came to the drive thru we would not have saw such a terrible this.
Please have someone to check this out. We could have gotten really sick from such acts of uncleanliness!

I just want to share my experienced when we ate at one of your branch located in Glorietta, Makati yesterday 18th of July 2022.
I was so disappointed with the behavior of your staff. They just don't care if they are sitting 1 inch beside me, and they also do not even care if they already leaned on my bag.
We also need to transfer from our table twice since your staff almost occupied the place.
I just also want to add that the glass with soda had a lipstick mark which is obviously not mine. I hope you check first the utensils before serving it to your customer.
I hope you can do something about this so that other customers will not experience the same thing.

I went through the drive thru
The first thing I was told is they only have chicken nuggets & chicken breast.
I ordered the # 3 Nugget meal
I received my warm Diet Coke, I asked are you out of ice too? Reply: Yes
What in the world 🌎 is going on?
There is plenty of staff & it doesn’t look too busy, at least drive-thru isn’t.
I’m waiting with at least one other customer parked off to side, for 8 nuggets…. ( long long wait).
Desired outcome: Make them do better!
New store conditions

New Popeyes restaurant opened less than a year and the dining room ceiling is in horrible shape. There are numerous ceiling tiles that are brown from water marks and a couple of the tiles actually have black mold on them. I’m not sure what the ceiling is like back in the kitchen, but black mold anywhere can be very unhealthy! Especially for people who are immune compromised! Popeyes, please fix this soon!
Desired outcome: Please fix the leaks and get rid of the contaminated ceiling tiles
False advertising
I went to your Bloomington, Mn location couple times and they didn't honor your national advertising. The advertising was 6.99 for five-piece chicken. I drove across town to take advantage of the special. When I got to the location. I was told I had to order 5 dollars' worth of food before I could take advantage of the special. I was there 7/17/22 appx 6 pm. I noticed the location didn't have the signs up supporting the specials. I shouldn't have to ask for national specials or take my time to brings this issue to your attention.
I believe the location should extend the special and give that community the opportunity to take advance of that great special.
I understand the franchise wanted to protect their bottom line, but they have responsibility to honor the advertising!
Desired outcome: I would like the location to honor the specials. I would like the $25 give card for wasting my time and the cost of fuel.

yes ma'am I'm hate to bother you all but me and my family was traveling from Mississippi coming through Hammond Louisiana to stop at the airport exit to get a piece chicken meal two sides two sweet teas and coats for the rest of the meal well we got the going in about pumpkin center or whatever my kids started choking however I had to stop my car pulled the chicken out of her throat she's five the measures and they had a piece of hair attached to it which is holding another piece of chicken down her throat I don't know how this had happened but we got that taken care of and then I didn't make it to baton rouge before my little boy had started vomiting I thought maybe he just had a little virus I brought him to the ER and he said he said he had food poisoning so I was wondering what y'all going to do in this regards just resolve this matter

I visited the Popeye's on 14747 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday 7/16/22 around 3:30pm. Order # 695 I was the only car in the line. I stood at the ordering for 4-5 minutes before I said hello anyone there? No response. There were cars in the parking and the lights were on, but I thought maybe there was something wrong. I drove up to the window - again saying hello. No one in sight. Not ONE person in sight. I stood there in disbelief because people always tell me how TERRIBLE this Popeye's is and I guess it was my turn to experience it. A young guy finally pops up at the window so I asked: Are you guys open? He said yea oh my god noone has helped you yet? I said no- you are the first person I've seen and I've been at the ordering speaking for almost 10 now. He says he sorry someone will come help me soon. Eventually...this lady "Karl" per the receipt-(transgendered black woman to be exact) # 70095. nonchalantly comes walking up to the window --speaking out loud "Can I take your order" while pressing the button on her head phones. So I said...hey I was here first. She said she was testing her headphones (HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO KNOW!) No hi sorry for your wait, nothing. Very unprofessional and lazy. She takes my order- confirms it. 3 pc with mash/gravy and a water. I pay for a combo with water. Hello- am I insane to think for the wait the water would be free? It wasn't bottled - it was from the machine. I get my order- after she tells me to have a good day- she asks me if my mash is in the bag? I'm thinking...isn't it HER job to check? No of course the mash wasn't in the bag. The laziness and lack of urgency at this point has me baffled. I asked her for my water- because we at this point haven't received that either! 5 minutes later I get my mash/gravy. I pull off, taste my chicken and IT'S HOT CHICKEN. It's ridiculous - the lack of care and customer service. Needless to say I prefer to drive to the Clark Avenue location before I EVER come back there. You really need to get better people working and do random drive through's yourself to see how piss poor their performance is. I am embarassed for them! My time cashing out on the receipt was 3:54pom. You do the math.
I remember when Popeyes chicken was delicious. Since then, however, my last 2 visits there ended up terribly. Of course it was a takeout order, so if I had a problem, I wouldn't be able to go up to the counter and get it straightened out. Instead, the 1st 1 was when they gave me spicy chicken instead of normal. I can't handle hot and spicy at all, so when I unknowingly took a bite of this, my time and mouth were on fire! After several glasses of ice water and a sufficient amount of time passed, I was relieved when and finally wore off.
The 2nd time I had it was a few days ago, also take out. I took one bite and all I got was the breading, which was terrible! I'm sure it didn't help that they were closing and I was able to get the chicken at the last minute. Who knows how old bad chicken was or how long ago it had been cooked? It was terrible, so another wasted $14. When I called them about the order a couple of nights later, I was told that I needed to bring the chicken and the receipt back in to get a refund. The receipt was thrown away along with the nasty chicken, so no refund.
Chicken sandwich
I ordered 2 chicken sandwich (which we love) I asked for some honey mustard to go with my sandwich. I was told that I would have to pay for it because it did not come with the order….. well guess it’s back to chick-fli …it’s not the cost but the way it was said very sassy…will not be using that store in Tillman Cornor ever again…
Incomplete Order
My wife and I visited the Popeye's Chicken located in San Dimas, CA. We placed our order at approximately 1:15pm and did not receive it until 1:37pm. That's a ticket time of over 22 minutes. We ordered the 8 blackened chicken tenders combo (they charged us for the family dinner), one chicken breast, and a 3 piece chicken platter. The team member who took our order did let us know that the blackened chicken strips would take at least 8 minutes. We were fine with that wait time, but once our wait time reached 15 minutes and we began to see other people walking out with their food in hand, our patience wore thin.
I walked inside the restaurant to inquire about our order. The team member working on the chicken said he was still waiting on the chicken tenders. Keep in mind, when we placed our order, we were the only vehicle in the drive thru. So if our order took 22 minutes to prepare, that means an item with a minimum cook time of 8 minutes was not dropped until 14 minutes after the order was taken. And, to add insult to injury, they gave us the wrong food. We received the blackened chicken tenders and the chicken breast, but instead of the 3 piece chicken platter, I received 8 fried chicken tenders. I did not eat the tenders because that's not what I ordered and I was too angry at this point to enjoy my meal. I made a sandwich instead.
While we were waiting, we wondered why our total was pver $51.00. We assumed it was due to inflation or something, but no. The team member charged us for the wrong food item and we received an incomplete order. Ordinarily, I wouldn't complain because I did receive some food, but I did not receive what I paid for nor for what I expected to eat. I would like to respectfully request a full refund for some of the mistakes made during this experience.

Refund for order not received
I contacted the Pooeyes on Centerville Rd in Manassas, Va. because my order was at the wrong Popeyes. I called multiple times and nobody answered. I kept trying and finally someone answered but she couldn’t understand me it was clear she spoke poor English so I was going around in circles. I requested a manager but she said there was no manager there. I told her someone should be there in a leadership role. This took forever only to end up speaking to another person who wasn’t helping so once again I asked for a manager. After going through this again she said we have a supervisor and I thought are you kidding me. Basically they said they couldn’t cancel the order so I said refund my money then they put the phone down and never came back. It’s ridiculous that an order cannot be canceled. I went to the Popeyes site to find a corporate number with no success. I ended up chatting with a digital bot and I reported my issues. I did receive a email response saying basically the company cannot cancel orders but she was giving me a $5 dollar coupon. I replied back and said I spent $37 and that was unacceptable and to provide me the corporate number and now waiting for a response.

I just left Popeyes, it’s 7:37. I went to the drive thru on Norman drive, Valdosta Ga. Brand new location. I placed my order and I talked to 3 different employees. I needed a 3 piece tender meal and a 5 piece meal. I was told that my 3 piece would take all the mild tenders they had and the rest were frozen. Apparently, no one wants to cook or work. It’s 7:30, cmon people need to do better. This is disappointing bc I was willing to wait. Popeyes is one of my favorites. So I won’t be back. I could understand right at closing time, but This is ridiculous.
Desired outcome: I’d appreciate some kind of response.
