I bought 4 airplane tickets on 2/3/2023 through Priceline.com to get to Seville, Spain from JFK for Arkady Mavashev, Rena Mavashev, Mark Shakarov, Bela Shakarov, and got confirmation and ticket numbers from Priceline (Priceline confirmation is attached).
On October 5, 2023 we decided to check in online on TAP Airline site. The check in did not go through. I called TAP Airline
and the representative told me that Rena Mavashev and Bela Shakarov tickets were canceled due to the Priceline mistake. Priceline did not submit passport information to TAP Airline on time. I called Priceline and were told that the tickets are not available for the same flight. I spoke to Priceline agent Joseph on Oct 5 at 9:35 AM confirmation # [protected], also spoke to Priceline supervisor Olga at 10:30 AM confirmation # [protected].
In order to get to the destination, we had to buy another set of tickets directly through Iberia Airline on the day of our flight (October 5) on different
route in the amount of $ 3,897.60 total for 4 persons, since TAP Airline tickets were not available for the next couple days.
The mistake made by Priceline ruined our vacation plans and we had to pay more than double price to get to the destination, take different
route because our initial route tickets were not available.
Also, on 2/3/2023 due to the glitch in Priceline system my credit card was charged 13 times for tickets instead of 4. (Credit card transactions screenshot is attached).
I called Priceline representative multiple times and was suggested to contact TAP Portugal Airline to get my refund.
TAP Portugal Airline representative told me that because I used travel agency (Priceline), I need to contact Priceline to get my money back. TAP disregarded all complaints filed for getting refund.
So far I got only one refund in the amount of $520.05 from TAP on 11/14/2023.
Priceline as a travel agent suppose to fix this problem and give me credit to my credit card for the remaining balance that owed to me: $520.05 X 5 = $2600.25.
This amount includes 2 overcharges since February 2023 and our 4 tickets that sold to another customers.
Please resolve this issue as soon as possible. I was loyal Priceline customer for more than 10 years and deserve better treatment.
