I was charged for a whole year without showing me how much they would charge or an option for me to agree to pay that amount
I kept receiving these emails to sign up for outrageous casting notices and emails had only one button: Upgrade now. I clicked it, and it led me to a website with no information, now way to check to see if these casting breakdowns were real or not and when I clicked next, it took me to paypal where automatically I was charged an outrageous amount without showing me what amount I would be charged. I tried to reverse charges of $239.99 and I was unsuccessful. The breakdowns on the website are not legitimate and the whole website is a scam.
I requested multiple times to be refunded this amount I was charged without my consent and they never replied to any of my emails. On Paypal they refused to refund my money and they offered to refund only $119.
This is a ripoff, and I am here to warn others about this company. This is not OK.
Project Casting Review: Disappointing Experience with No Auditions, Total Scam
I've gotta say, I was real excited about signing up for Project Casting. Wanted to get my foot in the door and start landing some gigs, y'know? But let me tell ya, it was a bumpy ride from the start.
First off, this place ain't cheap. Cost me a pretty penny just to sign up, and for what? I haven't seen a single audition since joining. Even when I try to sign up for extra work, I don't get nothing. I'm just trying to get a foot in the door here, but it's like they don't even want me.
And it ain't just me, either. I've talked to some other folks who've signed up, and they've had the same problem. Ain't nobody calling them back. What's the point of having all these projects listed if nobody's gonna give me a shot?
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this place to nobody. It's a total scam. Save your money and find another way to get yourself out there. Don't waste your time with these guys.
Project Casting: The Best Free Resource for Aspiring Entertainers
I love going on Project Casting (projectcasting.com). This website has helped me land so many awesome opportunities. It's the best for anyone who is interested in acting, modeling and entertainment industry in general. It's so great that it's a blog. It's like an online magazine that gives updates about casting calls and other entertainment industry news. You can stay informed about all the latest happenings and opportunities, all for free!
I couldn't believe that they don't charge for their services, but apparently, they don't. I mean, sure, there are other websites out there that charge for similar services, but why pay when you can use Project Casting for free? The best things in life are free, right?
I've read some reviews online that say something bad about Project Casting. But hey, I don't get it. What's there to complain about? It's a free service! I mean, if you don't like it, don't use it. But if you're looking to pursue a career in entertainment, then I recommend giving it a try.
One thing that I love about Project Casting is that they make it simple for me to pursue my dreams. They provide all the necessary information for casting calls and auditions. It's all in one place, so I don't need to go to different websites to find what I'm looking for. I can get all the updates I need from Project Casting.
Overall, I think Project Casting is a great resource for anyone who wants to work in the entertainment industry. It's free, it's easy to use, and it has tons of opportunities. If you're just starting out or trying to break in, I highly recommend checking it out.
Project Casting Review: Poor Customer Service and No Refunds Policy
I'm not too happy with Project Casting right now. I accidentally paid for a whole year when my tablet was being super sluggish. I mean, come on! All sales are final? Can't they understand that sometimes we make mistakes? It would be nice to be able to say "oops, my bad!" and get a refund, but nope.
Anyways, I still went ahead and filled out my info. But to be honest, most of the stuff they have on here can be found elsewhere. And guess what? I'm already paying for those other services.
What really gets me is that they didn't show any compassion towards my situation. Mistakes happen, you know? Maybe they could have handled it better.
Anyways, thanks for nothing, Project Casting.
Project Casting Review: Lack of Communication and Response System Frustrates Users
I gotta tell you, I wasn't too thrilled with my experience on Project Casting. Let me start by saying that if you're thinking about applying for a casting, you might wanna think twice. These guys can't even give you basic information about which casting you've applied to. I mean, come on! You're paying for a service here, so you'd expect at least a little bit of communication.
And don't even get me started on their response system (or lack thereof). I applied for a job and didn't hear anything back for weeks. No acknowledgement, no "thanks for applying," nothing. It's like my application went into a black hole and disappeared. And when I tried to follow up, all I got were generic responses that didn't answer my questions. Honestly, it was like they didn't care at all.
The worst part is that there's no email updates for your profile. So you're just left hanging, wondering what's going on with your application. It's frustrating to say the least. And when you do finally get a response, it's not helpful at all. I mean, seriously, this is supposed to be a casting company. They should know how to communicate with their clients.
All in all, I wouldn't recommend Project Casting to anyone. Save yourself the headache and do your research before signing up with these guys. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
Project Casting Review: A Total Scam Charging $108 for a One Month Subscription!
Project Casting is supposed to be a website that helps actors get gigs, but don't believe that for a second. They just take your money and only offer background work. And don't even bother trying to get them to respond to you if you have a problem, because they won't bother answering. In fact, they don't even have a phone number or customer service line. You're better off looking for background work for FREE on other websites like Backstage.
What really pissed me off about Project Casting is that they charge you $108 automatically just for a one month subscription! That's highway robbery! I've never heard of any company that charges you that much for a month's worth of work, especially when it's just background work. It's a total scam and they've been doing it for years. It's been over 7 years and they still haven't been shut down!
I urge you to stay far away from Project Casting and don't give them a single penny of your hard-earned money. They're not worth it and you're better off looking elsewhere for work. They need to be closed down and brought to justice for all the people they've scammed over the years.
Project Casting: Valuable Resources or Unethical Practices for Aspiring Actors?
Project Casting be copyin' our stuff from Facebook and postin' it on they own website. That ain't right, man. They be switchin' up the wordin' too, tryin' to make it seem like they the ones puttin' out the info. They be sayin' stuff like "xxxx company" is castin', but they be addin' extras like "Open Casting Call" and "Looking for Actors" that wasn't in our original post. They done it a whole bunch of times now, and we keep getting flooded with emails from all over the globe that we gotta sift through for months. It's makin' our job tough as heck, tryin' to find the real submissions among all the trash.
But I gotta give 'em props, they got some good stuff on they site too. They got all kinds of castin' calls, from TV shows to music videos to commercials. They even got articles with tips and tricks for actors tryin' to make it in the industry. And it's all free, which is a plus.
Overall, I'd say Project Casting got some good resources, but they need to stop copyin' other people's stuff and makin' it harder for real deal actors trying to get a good shot.
WARNING: My Terrible Experience with Project Casting - A Fraudulent Casting Company
Hey people, so I'm here to share my experience with this casting company called Project Casting (projectcasting.com). I'm a Casting Director based in the UK, and out of nowhere, I started receiving submissions from this company without my permission. To make it worse, I'm not even registered with them!
Not to exaggerate, but the whole experience was a disaster, not just for me but also for the people who applied for the job. I received submissions from the US while the shoot is in the UK, and none of the talents were even on brief. It was a total waste of time, unfair, and an infringement on my copyright.
I've sent them four emails already, asking them whoever posted my casting on their website, but the only response I got from them was "thanks for your feedback." How frustrating, right?
Now, my concern here is that Project Casting is posting castings without verifying the client's credentials or even the authenticity of the job. For all we know, they could be linking up vulnerable models and actors with unsavory characters- and that's a massive red flag, in my opinion.
Now, as a warning, I would advise you NOT to use this company. There are plenty of legitimate casting companies out there, so don't waste your time and money on such fraudulent ones.
Project Casting Review: Not Legit and Not Worth Your Time or Money
This is my genuine review of Project Casting or PC, as it's commonly known. Let me tell you, this "company" is not worth your time or money. Frankly, they're not legit. First off, they're not even registered or accredited with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), which means they're not held accountable for any of their actions. That's red flag number one.
I foolishly signed up for a monthly membership with PC and they charged my credit card $108 without my authorization. It's been a real pain trying to get my money back. I've sent countless emails and finally got a response saying that there's nothing they can do. That's red flag number two: no customer service phone number to call.
Their website is confusing on purpose. I thought I was paying $25 for the monthly membership, but ended up with a yearly subscription for $108. That's red flag number three: misleading pricing.
The only work they have available is for background actors. But here's the thing: they steal auditions from other websites and post them as their own. That's red flag number four: dishonesty.
Don't just take my word for it. Do a quick Google search and you'll see that there are countless reviews from other actors who have been scammed by PC. They are notorious for it.
In conclusion, please save your money and your time. Actors Access is a much better and legitimate website for actors to find auditions. Don't fall for PC's tricks. They need to be held accountable for their dishonest actions.
Beware: Project Casting's VIP Membership is a Scam - False Discount Code and Misleading Billing Tactics
I just got this email from Project Casting (projectcasting.com), inviting me to sign up for VIP membership at 50% off with the code VIP. I thought, "Wow, that's a great deal!" So I clicked on the link to check out the price. The website showed me the regular monthly membership fee of $19.99, but I wasn't sure if that was with the discount or not.
So I clicked on the "Upgrade My Account" button to see if I could find out more. But the next screen asked me for my credit card information before I could enter the promo code. I was a bit hesitant to give out my details, but I figured, "Hey, if it's only going to cost me $120 a year, I might as well take the chance." So I clicked "Proceed."
But then something strange happened. Instead of showing me a summary of the final cost, the website congratulated me for signing up! I didn't even see the price I was paying! And to make matters worse, my credit card company notified me that I had been charged $239.99! What the heck?!
I felt like I had been tricked twice: first with the misleading checkout process, and then with the false discount code. I was pretty annoyed, but I decided to contact Project Casting to explain the situation and ask for a refund. I thought it would be an easy fix. Boy was I wrong!
It took them two whole days to respond to my messages, and when they finally did, they gave me the old "no refunds" line. They said that by clicking on the "Upgrade My Account" button, I had agreed to their terms and conditions, and that there would be no refunds. What?! I didn't even see a summary page before they charged me!
I'm pretty sure this company is a scam. They used deceptive billing tactics and a fake promo code to cheat me out of my money. If you're thinking about signing up for their VIP membership, think again. And whatever you do, do NOT click on that "Upgrade My Account" button! It's a trap!
Beware of the Project Casting Scam - Misleading Billing, Stolen Job Opportunities, and Fake Reviews
This company is totally fake! A total rip-off! You can find plenty of reviews online that all say the same thing: they give wrong information about billing, promising $9/month but then charging $109/year upfront, and then there is no refund process and no way to contact customer service! What kind of company takes your money and runs away with it? A total scam!
When I signed up for this site, I found out that unless I pay, my profile isn't even visible. It's just a blog with a social media style dashboard and a profile, and all of the acting calls are stolen from other companies, and very often are not correct. Other companies have said that everything on project casting was taken from their sites and re-posted, so they offer nothing original that you can't get elsewhere.
As part of my research, I found out the legal business address for this company is in a shady shared office space that has hosted many dubious business enterprises. These include white collar crime enterprises like insurance billing fraud and the sale of fake debt acquisitions! No legitimate business would share a space like this. It's all just a big scam!
CEO Jonathan Browne lists his job on LinkedIn as "CEO of Project Casting", but one online filing shows that in the last filing period, the company only grossed approximately $6,500. So how is that his "job" if it doesn't pay a living wage? How does he actually earn a living? Is scamming a job? That's something to think about.
Even here on this site, Sitejabber, the company puts its deceitful nature on full display. Among the reviews here, you will find one from a "Megan D" and a "Jonathan B". These are actually Megan D Kirven Browne and Jonathan Browne, the married couple responsible for this fraudulent activity. They had to post fake reviews here on Sitejabber because they were getting terrible real reviews. What kind of company sucks so bad that the CEO and COO have to leave fake reviews pretending to be their own happy clients? In one fake review, Jonathan complains that people are unhappy with the site and shouldn't be as it's "free". But if it's free, then why are so many users complaining about being deceived and not getting refunds? In Megan's fake review, she claims to have gotten numerous jobs through Project Casting. But I have seen Megan's online actor resume, and she hasn't even gotten as many roles in her entire life as she claims to have gotten from Project Casting. Everything is fake!
Authorities should be asking these two scammers what they know about certain crypto death threat scams! Who knows what else they're hiding?
This pathetic married couple has been running this scam for years, and it's time someone puts an end to it. Their actions and behavior are unacceptable, totally dishonest, illegal, and downright immoral. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this website! Save your money!

Save Your Money: ProjectCasting.com Not Worth the Hype
projectcasting.com is not worth your money cuz it's basically a waste of time and cash. For real tho, you can find legit casting calls for free on sites like actors access or backstage. The competition for big speaking roles on projectcasting.com is hella fierce with like 500 or more peeps applying. So save urself some coins and try another site instead.
Project Casting Review: Total Letdown - Save Your Time & Money
So, I heard about this site called Project Casting and I gotta say, it seemed like a cool deal. I signed up for a year and was stoked to see what kind of gigs and opportunities were gonna come my way. But man, was I in for a big ol' disappointment. It's been about 3 months now and I still can't even log into my dang account! And if that wasn't bad enough, I've been trying to get in touch with someone - anyone - from Project Casting and no one has bothered to get back to me. Can you believe that? I feel like I got scammed or something.
I mean, I know nobody's perfect and maybe they're just swamped with all the other clients or whatever. But come on! I feel like I wasted my money and my time on this site that promised so much and delivered so little. It's not like I'm asking for the moon, ya know? I just wanna be able to access my account and maybe get some feedback or direction on how to take my acting career to the next level. Is that too much to ask?
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Project Casting to anyone based on my experience. It's been a big letdown and I don't want anyone else to get their hopes up like I did. I wish I could get a refund or something, but I doubt that's gonna happen at this point. So yeah, save your money and your sanity and find another site or resource to pursue your dreams.
Project Casting: Overpriced Subscription and Limited Opportunities - A Disappointing Experience
This website called Project Casting is just awful. I can't believe how much they charged me - an entire year's subscription when all I wanted was a measly month. It's totally unfair, and I'm so mad at them. Plus, even though I'm technically a member, I can't even apply to any of the available jobs because they keep telling me that I have to upgrade my account first. Like, seriously? Who has all that money to spend on a darn subscription and then on top of that upgrade fees? Not me, that's for sure. This website has seriously let me down and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Project Casting - Poor Quality Control and Fraudulent Clients, Not Recommended
is a fake company, they try to engage Project Casting users and they don't properly explain the job details or payment method. I didn't know that they are fraud until they asked me to send them an advance payment and they didn't give me any proper billing details. After this, I tried to reach out to Project Casting customer support, but they didn't answer me properly and didn't provide me with the help I needed.
Overall, my experience with Project Casting was disappointing. They should have more quality control and vet their clients better. I wouldn't recommend using them as a job-seeking platform.
Project Casting: A Scam-filled Service to Avoid - My Experience
Project Casting is a castin' service that's just plain ol' awful. They keep sendin' me scam emails and I don't trust 'em one bit. I mean, who falls for pictures of sexy women tryin' to sell some pills? Ain't nobody that desperate, right? And what about that photoshopped picture of Elon Musk givin' away free electricity? That's just plain silly!
I ain't gonna recommend Project Casting to anyone. They gave me a bad vibe from the get go. It's a shame really, 'cause I was lookin' forward to workin' on some cool projects with 'em. But no way am I riskin' my personal info with 'em. I don't trust 'em to keep it safe.
Overall, steer clear of Project Casting. Ain't worth the headache and heartache.
Unresponsive and Dubious: My Experience with Project Casting
I tried Project Casting and it was a'ight, but tbh I wouldn't really recommend it. First of all, there ain't no phone number to call if you have questions or issues. That's kinda sketchy, you know what I mean? And even when I sent emails a few times, they just straight up didn't respond. Like what's up with that? It made me feel like they didn't really care about their users.
Also, when I tried to cancel my account, they refused to let me do it cuz apparently I was already using the service for like a month or something. But if they were really a legit site, why wouldn't they let me cancel whenever I wanted? It kinda made me feel like they were trying to trap me into staying with them and spending more money.
Honestly, there are better casting websites out there. I would recommend checking out Backstage.com instead. They have a lot more options and seem more trustworthy overall. Don't waste your time and money on Project Casting.
Project Casting: A Scam to Avoid - My Personal Experience
!
I recently came across Project Casting and wanted to share my experience with others. Let me tell you, it was not a pleasant one. To put it bluntly, it's a scam! I made the mistake of signing up and ended up losing my hard-earned money.
The first issue I had was that they didn't have a real phone number. There was no way to talk to a live person about my concerns. When I emailed their customer support team, it took forever to get a response. And even when I did, it wasn't helpful at all.
When I realized that I wanted to cancel my subscription, they wouldn't let me. They also wouldn't refund me my money. I was emailing back and forth with them, but it was like talking to a wall. They provided no help and left me feeling frustrated and confused.
To sum it up, I would advise everyone to stay far away from Project Casting. It's not worth wasting your money on a company that doesn't care about its customers. Trust me, I learned my lesson the hard way. Don't make the same mistake I did!
Unimpressed with Project Casting's Services: A Casting Director's Review
So I'm a casting director here in New Zealand, and I gotta tell ya, my experience with Project Casting was not so good, mate. These guys claim to be an actors agency, but honestly, I'm not convinced they're the real deal. Let me explain.
For starters, they sent out one of my casting briefs without getting my permission first! Like, what the heck, right? And then I started getting submissions from them like months after the job was already over. That's just plain ridiculous.
Honestly, I feel bad for whoever might have been interested in that project. Imagine being all excited about this opportunity, only to find out that the agency you applied through ain't nothing but a bot or something equally sketchy. I mean, that's just sad.
Anyway, I wouldn't recommend using Project Casting, especially not if you're serious about your casting needs. Honestly, I don't even know how they're still in business. Maybe they're just preying on inexperienced actors or something. Either way, I wouldn't trust them if I were you.
Beware of Project Casting: Untrustworthy Scammers with Content Theft and Low-Quality Service
My experience with Project Casting was not a pleasant one, to say the least. I have to tell you, folks, that they are not to be trusted, for they have scammed many people, myself included. Their level of professionalism is highly questionable, and their business practices are simply unacceptable. It seems like they have no respect for the intellectual property of the people they work with, for they have been known to steal breakdowns and repost them without permission. Can you believe that? That's a clear violation of copyright laws, and it shows their lack of consideration for the hard work of others.
Now, let me tell you something about the content they post. You won't find anything original there, folks. All they do is repurpose content from other sources and present it as their own. That's not only lazy, but it's also misleading. People trust them to provide them with useful and relevant information, but instead, they get recycled articles that are far from being helpful.
The worst part is that Project Casting has tarnished its reputation to such an extent that casting directors I know and work with refuse to use any actors they find from their platform. That's a clear indication of the low quality of the service they provide and the lack of trust people have in them. I strongly advise you not to use their services, for they are nothing but trouble.
