At approximately 9:00 pm, I went to race trac in Groveland, fl to get milk and 2 packs of cigarettes and the lady at the register her name was Shawn gave me this dirty look and says rudely she needs to see my i.d. I told her that it was in my vehicle that I would need to go get it and her standing there says sarcastically well go get it, I get my i.d put it on the counter and then she says I don't see why it was a big deal to have your i.d. On you it's not like I'm asking for your damn social security card or credit card information, I ignored what she had to say and said well here's my i.d. Now can I please have 2 packs of l&m reds shorts please and she just stands there talking [censored] about me not having my i.d with me and that she's not going to let me purchase the cigarettes and how she does not want to sell them to me and just keeps being rude and talking [censored] about me and my i.d. She finally gets the packs of cigarettes and still saying how she's not going to give them to me like it was some type of game and was still being rude I finally said you know what you can take the stuff back in not buying anything here and I'm contacting her manager and her still yelling at me as I'm at the front door about her manager saying so you need my managers name I told her that I didn't and im going to be contacting corporate and her words exactly good go ahead I don't care there not going to do anything about it not is my manager, now there were 2 older black guys buying beer behind me and she didn't get rude with them at all not ask them for i.d I don't understand how me not having my i.d. On me that I have to go get it to be very rude and talk [censored] like your a teenager talking back and treated like [censored] I guess it was because I wasn't black for her to treat me like that! . She needs to reprimanded and taught better customer service skills and not to talk [censored] to customers!
no paper at the pump for a receipt
This is the 3rd morning on different occasions I've stopped for gas and no paper at the pump. It's very annoying pumping you gas and paying at the pump and there's no paper to print a receipt. The store lines are so long with only one person at the register and all that's needed is a receipt for gas you already paid for at the pump. This problem need to be addressed ASAP. Why is it only one person at the register when there's other employees in the store?
poor, rude and unprofessional customer service
Dear RaceTrac, first I would like to start on a positive note. I live in Davenport, Florida and mostly frequent the RaceTrac location store number 2338. The staff at this location is absolutely amazing and I've been a regular customer there for many years. Whenever I go in there you always hear the staff loudly say "welcome to RaceTrac". I can honestly say that in the many years I've gone to this location, I have never once had a bad experience. That location is one of the reasons I'm a loyal RaceTrac customer.
Within the past year another RaceTrac location also located on Hwy US 27, between Davenport and Haines City was built. As this location is a little closer to where I work I began frequenting this location. I expected the same amazing and quality customer service that I've come to enjoy from RaceTrac. I'm sad to report that this location has without a doubt consistently the worst staff, I've ever encountered at any business. I have gone to this location about ten to twelve times. Pretty much every time I've been there the staff has generally behaved rude and unprofessional. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the staff continues to disappoint. They never say hello to anyone, one tall African American female is always talking on her personal cell phone, and appears annoyed at the customers that dare ask her anything and interrupt her phone call. The other team members slap change back in your hand and rudely shove your items in a bag and throw on the counter. They pretty much give you the impression they hate their job and don't want to be there. I stopped by this location tonight, my last visit to this RaceTrac ever I should say. A young white or Hispanic male was working the register tonight at around 8:20 PM 9/16/2018. I asked for a pack of "Marlboro Blacks". As he was grabbing the pack he grabbed the menthol type, I simply told him that I wanted the regular type. He angrily said "you didn't say which one". I said ok, well I didn't say I wanted the menthol either. He replied "ok well why don't you say Marlboro and just waste my time grabbing a pack of everyone of them". I was absolutely dumb founded that he would have such a ridiculous and completely negative reaction, over nothing. I attempted to get the store number of this location when I got home, but it is not listed on RaceTrac's website. I will continue to go RaceTrac store 2338, I'm only informing you of the issues at this other location, in the hope that it will be useful to help improve the situation there. I don't want and will not accept any compensation. I hope this will be helpful to both the staff and management there. Thank you.

Well I live twenty minutes from race trac otw the only store open after midnight well I drive there for cigarettes and the girl I d me well I forgot my I d so I drove twenty minutes home to get it to drive all the way back with my I d and she doesn't even ask for my I d that time. That was a huge inconvenience and honestly some bull crap. That girl waisted my time. Didnt catch a name but what kind of show are yall running where the store clerk can pick a chose the times they wanna inconvenience someone and when they dont. I spend a lot of money at race tracs Its actually my preferred store but with treatment like that I think I'll take my money elsewhere.

My name is Rex Eiland. I have been a Racetrac customer for over 10 years. Tonight, Monday September 10, 2018, after leaving dinner at Bahama Breeze on Cleveland Ave in Fort Myers, FL, I stopped for fuel.
At approximately 830 - 840 pm, I chose the 24hr location of Racetrac at 14575 6 Mile Cypress Pkwy, Fort Myers, FL 33912, T# 1.239.768.8160.
Access to get into the fuel station off of Michael G. Rippe Parkway was not direct. I had to go past Racetrac approximately 1/4 to 1/2 mile South to make a u-turn and double back.
Having completed my turn around and subsequent entry onto the property, I drove up to pump #5. I attempted to use my (roommates) bank card to fuel. He was with me. We were in his vehicle. His name is Ken Lindsay, he's 82 and not as mobile as he once was.
My first attempt at the pump failed apparently. I somehow entered incorrect information. The zip code the card unit recorded for the credit card I was using was way off from the number I actually entered. (I noticed the error as I pressed the enter button) It was too late to make a correction. The pump showed I had entered 93415. I actually used 34135. Somehow the information was wrong.
I then attempted a second time to use the card at the pump. The pump rejected my purchase after completing the purchase cycle the second time. The pump however instructed me to go inside. I did so.
Upon entry to the store I looked around for the registers and spotted them in a much different location in this store than most. I am a regular shopper and consumer of Racetrac products. There was an older woman, a customer I believe, standing at the register. She stepped aside within about a minute. As I approached the register there were two employees, a young man who's name tag read Mickele.
He was speaking with another employee, a young woman. I later found out her name is Dazia. Neither Dazia nor Mickele acknowledged my presence. I patiently waited for acknowledgement. I am aware that employees often need to communicate information with one another. This is not the source of my complaint.
Later, while typing this letter, I called and spoke with Mickele at 1125p on September 10, 2018. This is several hours after I returned to my home. I explained the nature of my call and I questioned him regarding the name of the employee with whom he was conversationally engaged during my visit.
Mickele informed me of her name, Dazia, at this time. I also asked for a managers name. He told me her name is Jessica. He apologized for my bad experience and asked that I follow up in the morning. He expressed appropriate concern as I discussed how greatly offended I am by the treatment I received from employee Dazia.
Continuing on with this issue, as I waited at the register, Mickele and Dazia finished their conversation. Dazia looked over at me and asked "how can I help you?" I then asked for a fill up on pump #5. She said, "how much?" At the time, I believed she didn't hear or understand me so I repeated my request for a fill up on pump #5. She asked me again, "how much?" I was confused by her apparent inability to understand my request or possibly her lack of interest to help me based on her vocal tone. Frustrated, I said, alright, fine make it $30.00 on pump #5.
As a customer, I was stunned by her next sudden disconnected and unwarranted attitude toward me. Dazia said, "I don't have to deal with your attitude." I was not displaying an attitude toward her. I was however growing frustrated that she was increasingly of no assistance to me as a loyal customer.
I gave pause a moment in disbelief. Mentally looking for a manager, I then asked to speak with someone who could help me. The tone and the manner of her next statement told me she herself had the attitude she spoke of. Apparently wanting to show her name tag and possibly title, Dazia suddenly unzipped her sweater like Supergirl claiming again "I don't have to deal with your attitude!"
Now I am upset by her tone and her posture. Still I tried to explain to her I was not giving her an attitude. Quite to the contrary, she took a posture of escalating the contact with a customer exhibiting absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. I simply wanted to complete my purchase.
As I tried to explain she turned and walked away.She called for 'Mickele' as she walked off. I stood there a few seconds in disbelief. I then turned around and left very upset and confused by the unnecessary abuse.
She did not explain that I simply needed to tell her a predetermined amount to set up the pump. I figured that out on my own. She could have solved the issue with a simple explanation and a better attitude. Instead, she verbally offended and abused me as a paying customer. Dazia did not display the customer service I have come to know and appreciate at Racetrac. In fact Dazia's disrespect toward me will drive me away from your product toward another business who will appreciate my business.
I myself work in a customer service oriented retail department at a Winn-Dixie deli. If I ever treated anyone with such disrespect, I would be fired. That being said, if I were so unhappy in a customer service job to the point I felt compelled to 'not do my job' I would quit. No customer deserves to be treated with utter disrespect.
I don't know the circumstances that caused this verbal abuse from Dazia. I no longer care to. I did care, at the time. I cared to deescalate the event. At the time I attempted continued communications with the employee, although as a customer it was not my job to do so. That job fell to Dazia.
Dazia failed her job. Dazia failed Racetrac. Dazia failed her customer. I can only assume that I am not the only customer whom Dazia has treated disrespectfully. I no longer concern myself with her explanation.
Dazia rejected my concern by stating, "I don't have to deal with your attitude" to me directly. Conversely, I do not have to subject myself to the poor attitude of disrespectful employees at Racetrac. I felt it necessary to bring this matter to your attention.
This employee does not respect her job. If she did she would respect the customers who choose to spend their hard earned money on Racetrac products. There are several fuel stations closer to my home in Bonita Springs. I will be using those locations for my needs going forward. My roommate has decided with me to no longer support Racetrac.
We both feel greatly disrespected and also inconvenienced. Remember, I took extra steps to stop in at this facility. I could have just passed by. I now wish that I had passed on by. Now, I will pass on by all Racetrac stores. I will take my money where it is appreciated.

For about 6 months the local racetrac has changed the time of the closing to get fresh ice cream/yogurt in the swirl stand. The first time I was told it closes at midnight. The second time I was told 11pm. If the store is 24 hours why is this not available 24 hours? Do all stores follow this policy? I'm confused that they food and coffee section remains open each night but not this section.

I want to making a complaint about an employee at RaceTrac 6839 Ridge Road Port Richey Florida 34668 her name is Valerie I have been going to this RaceTrac for 10 years people that start working there idea me one time and that is it because after that they know my order and everything Valerie decides to ID me every single time I complained about it a line started to pile up behind me she jumped over to another register and starts helping another customer as I am still trying to pay for my cigarettes with my debit card their machine would not work and instead of her helping she takes more customers on the other register someone else had to help me that machine ended up going down but as she rang me up she packed my cigarettes up in a bag and set them on the counter and took customer on the edge and then proceeded to give my bag 3 packs of Newports and 3 packs of Marlboro Red Special Blend to another customer finally my card worked again and my bag was gone I did not know until I looked and ask her where are my cigarettes why didn't you take them because because I was trying to fix the machine so I could pay you gave my cigarettes to somebody else I said to her well sorry you should have grabbed your cigarettes I said I have not even paid for them why would I grab them she threw her hands up and said sorry you should have took your cigarettes blame me for her giving someone else my bad was not going to give me my cigarettes after my card had already been processed for payment finally a manager had to jump in after she blame me for the whole incident I get my cigarettes now mind you this is the second time that we've had an incident about my ID and every single other time I go in there she continues to ID me I feel like this is harassment she knows that I'm of legal age this is harassment she continues to ask me for my ID to aggravate me she says I don't look at the information on the ID I don't know your name or your age I said man you know I'm of age to buy cigarettes I've been coming up here and buying cigarettes for over 10 years and we have had an altercation already twice about this ID crap you know I'm of legal age everyone else in there does not ID me because they know I'm of legal age she is doing this to harass me and I don't appreciate it of the incident on talking about she blamed me as the customer when it was all her fault I never got an apology or anything when I went in to talk to the manager the first thing she made clear to me as they are like a family there so what would you like me to do I was treated poorly blamed for her mistake and I'm still getting harassed by her about ID I have seen with my own two eyes her not ID people that look younger than me my husband goes in there he never gets id'd by her but everywhere else we go they ID him
Just have your ID out and ready and it won't be a problem. You seem to be the one making this ID thing an issue. She has every right to check your ID before selling you restricted products.

From looking here I'm expecting nothing to come of this complaint, but I'm going to complain anyway. On August 25th went to store 506 with my elderly mother. She made a purchase and immediately decided to return it. The assistant manager on duty was rude to her saying she couldn't return or exchange the items, which were 18 vapes kits. Now when I asked him why his only answer was that he's not allowed to take returns over a certain amount of money. I tried to explain she has dementia and didn't even understand what she was doing and his response to me was "if you cared so much about what your mom was doing you would've been here". Wow talk about poor customer relations but it gets better, because obviously after he said that I became angry and asked him if he was retarded. Granted that's not polite, but I am the customer and he was already rude to my mom and then me. Now this employee of racetrac comes out from behind the counter and threatens to assault me. I actually was about to call the palm bch sheriffs office for fear for and my mothers safety.
I addressed this situation 2 days later with the store manager Mark, however I am not happy with his resolution of the situation. While he did exchange my mothers purchase for something else he made no reference to dealing with the rude, insulting and threatening employee in that store except to offer as an explanation for his behavior that several of this mans friends had recently been killed as if that was justification for insulting and then threatening a customer. Ohh and then he actually hoped I would continue to be a customer, as if I would ever again shop in a store that employs rude aggressively threatening people.

Dear RaceTrac Management:
I had a hug incident today at approximately 08:18 AM. I disarmed the gas pump nozzle and placed the nozzle into my gas tank, at approximately 10 galls on gas the pump stopped. I noticed that the little flap that holds your gas pump handle down was engaged, I did not manually make contact with the flap. The gas pump had stopped so I manually dislodged the flap so that I could put the nozzle back in the pump and as I was turning the nozzle to secure it back in the pump gallons of gas started pouring out of the nozzle. I was doused... covered from the knees down in gasoline. My legs and shoes were completely drenched...soaked... The RaceTrac that I was at didn't know how to handle the situation. I walked into the store dripping with gas trying not to be frantic and I told the female associate who asked to help me, that I was covered in gasoline and explained exactly what happened. I said "I need to get this gasoline off of me and explained in detailed what had happened - the pump did not shut off and mal-functioned and there is gasoline everywhere by the pumps. I asked if they had a solvent or an anti-gas remover product as I'm walking around flammable right now. She's said we have a restroom. So, she walked me to the restroom and as I was in the restroom with her and she said, "you are hot". I said no I'm freaking flammable and could ignite and could have a reaction to the gasoline if I cannot get it off quickly. as I am not safe to enter my vehicle and drive home. So, the male manager came in literally into the restroom opened the door proceeded to try to watch me clean the gasoline off of my person the entire time. He gave offered me baby wipes and a pot degreaser to clean my person and shoes. I was so livid of the way that I was treated and not only the lack of care for the Emergency of the situation. I felt sexually harassed and was extremely mortified that I had to walk to my vehicle without shoes. The manager offered me $40 maybe $50 to get a new pair of shoes. Thank God, I did not ruin an expensive pair of shoes today or freaking worse... Catch on Fire! Pot degreaser to put on my skin to get the gas off is not an ideal solution. I asked for MSDS safety sheets because they didn't know the protocol for such an emergency. The manager did not get the safety sheets so that he could read the protocol for onsite solutions. No -one walked me to car to clean up the spill or ensure the pump was reset and I was safe to leave being that the nozzle was still in my gas tank. No-one completed an incident report or asked my name or contact information. I am completely still upset and feel like I could have been severely injured. I endured sexual harassment, personal embarrassment of having to walk into the store in a public place covered in gasoline, my shoes ruined, I was extremely late for my extremely important job, had to pay for gallons of gas wasted that I did not use, nor do I feel safe ever at a RaceTrac again as there was no safety policy used.
I am a very disgruntled and upset customer - I did not deserve this treatment or to experience these unsafe acts.

My name is Lisa and today on my way to work, I had a similar experience. May I add that this has happened to me several times however, never have I actually been sprayed with gasoline. I am 49 years old and have never, ever had this happen to me in my life except at Racetrac gas stations.
On my way to work, I stopped to make a quick $5-$10 purchase. Put in my card, which is usually an ordeal in itself so slow, put the nozzle in and started to pump. I never go full blast because I have little faith that it even works accurately so I pump at a medium speed. I noticed the trigger to be sticking. It started pumping full blast like it had a mind of its own and wouldn’t stop. I hadn’t planned on filling just enough to get to work, and the damn thing wouldn’t stop. Trigger stuck pumping full blast. I wiggled and tapped and tried to pull it out and was sprayed in my work clothes. $100 outfit- cute dress and brand new shoes. More importantly, gasoline is a hazard. Special restrictions apply! Haz mat. Hazardous material highly flammable and combustible! I dropped the whole thing on the ground, soaked head to toe and walked in the store and demanded a manager, explained what happened and 1 of 2 ladies said they were one and I asked what the hell she wanted to do about this! I told her I wreak of gas and am due at work. Explained outfit and shoes ruined and hazardous fuel on me.. ridiculous. I told her I’d be back and want compensation and a free tank of gas... possibly more financial compensation. I suggest you find a way to contact me because I feel like contacting an attorney and suing them to make sure this NEVER happens to anyone ev er again and push their greedy [censored] to invest in making sure they FIX and MAITAIN their faulty equipment. I’ve been a customer since they opened. Like their set up, convenience but I probably will never return unless they make this right. Mind you, I also have a Ford Mustang convertible and last time I purchased gas here they ran a preauthorization on my card for $100. Really? My car won’t even take $100 in gas! How stupid $50 fills it-$40 maybe? Bullsh**! I should have called a rescue. My skin is burning and I think it splashed in my right eye. When I left, the nozzle was off and it was spraying on the ground all over the place. They WILL have to deal with it. Surely they can’t leave it like that. The damn nozzle was loose it should not have been still been spraying.

I went in to get gas. Showed my phone to get my barcode scanned they said the app is down. I said it worked at the other one. They said well ours is down and we have to wait for them to come fix it. They were rude and sarcastic. I told my husband that I hate going to this one because they are always rude. Everytime I got in between 10am an 4 pm they are rude and sarcastic. They are not friendly at all.

I cashed in a $2 All or Nothing Ticket. I gave them a play slip for 3 Mega Millions tickets for $9 leaving my amount due at $7.
When I gave him the money, he didn't give me anything but the play slip. Then he said "Oh I guess I need to give you the ticket." He gave me my ticket that I turned in for $2! It wasn't until this morning that I noticed I never got the Mega Millions ticket! I AM FURIOUS!
That is not right! I did not get the ticket I paid for!

Went in this to purchase the special three red bulls for $7.50 place all three and my other items cashier rangs up the items cash me out then ask me you had yellow red bull oh I didn't see that how can you not see that and they all line up together then tell me to pay separate for the third one i told him I'm not doing that they on special so you not going pay separately once again no I'm not as cashier you need to do a refund and rang me over correctly which I feel he didn't want do as manger I would done that and no receipt just rude need more customer service skills

I am writing to complain about the RaceTrac at 609 East Plano Parkway, Plano Tx 75074
I was getting gas around 9:15 and the pump Started spewing gas everywhere. I ran into tell the attendant and he came out to see what was going on and didn't turn it off as he didn't know what to do.
I notify the attendant they out and go back in to turn it off and come back out and pulls the gas pump out of my car.
Gas got all over my shoes and my clothes, as the gas was spewing everywhere.
My car smells like gas and I got 11.06 in gas and I am not sure how much went in my car.
I am needing to file a GL claim for reimbursement for my clothes, gas, shoes and detailing of my car.
I think this could have been handled better. The two male attendants were young and I think a little confused.
I don't think they were sensitive to my needs. No one offered me napkins, the girl attendant was unbothered.
They taped the pump and put an out of service sign afterwards.

What is going on with the app yesterday i spent $26 and none of my points went on my app. I know its 1 point for every $0.25 so i should have gotten 104 points added. This is not the first time this has happened and needs to be addressed. I have asked others with the app so i know im not the only one having problems. Please fix the app and please give me my points.
unethical behavior from stores general manager
i went with my sister to buy a drink the general manger was at the register at least her name tag had general manger. the other register opened and took the man in front of me and all he had was two beers. so i followed him when the manger hollered one line so i did not say anything i just got back in her line when i got to the register she rang me up but made the other cashier take my money .then she told the other cashier that she was about to do something she did not want to do so here you give her her money. i never said a word to this lady .i just know it was very unprofesstional and should not be a manager of any kind. i love your stores but will never go back to that one. no one wants that kind of treatment. the store is located in baton rouge la. on old hammond hwy.
pump screen not able to read prompts, very bad display, no receipt from pump.
On 08/19/ at 08:40 I fueled up and found the video screen on pump almost impossible to read, no security tape over key pad door lock. No receipt available from pump. I had to go inside to get it.
This is why I quiot going to this station about a year ago same problems of no receipt from pump, hqaving to go inside to get receipt. I now go to Murphy up the street. Their pump vide screen is very easy to read and in the year never had to go up to window and get receipt.

Today, 8-17-18, I visited the RaceTrac in Frisco, TX off of Eldorado and Teel Pkwy, and there were signs saying 2 for $4 on Monsters so I bought a Java Monster and a White Dragon Tea Monster and I saw a Selma's blueberry rice crispy treat for $1.49. I bought these but I somehow ended up paying $2.99 for the rice crispy treat and the $2.69 for both Monsters when it was supposed to be $4 for the 2. Unhappy with this visit.

For the second time this year, our debit card has been compromised at the RaceTrac on Hwy 1 in Stuart, FL. We are very careful and always check for skimmers. We prefer this location and would hate for this to affect our choice to go back, but twice in one year is too much! Security should be improved at this location. It's beginning to make us concerned about the honesty of the employees.
