Bad Customer Service
I have yet to get feedback from the actual Store Manager, who in fairness, was very respectful.
He also promised to Talk Directly to the Person Involved and listened patiently to my Complaint.
As for the details: It was last Friday, May 20,2022 when I and my husband went to Ralph's Western(670 S. Western Ave/12:32nn).
Since the Bolillo Rolls have to be wrung manually at the Self-Checkout, I approached the attending Courtesy Clerk/ Cashier assigned at that time ( Her nametag goes" Chumima"?).
I felt aback because she blurted back at me.
" They will ring you wherever you got that .. Where did you come from?" .
I said, " What do you mean, where I came from?"
I motioned our aisle before she grudgingly typed in the corresponding code for the said item(s).
When I noticed the amount $4.00 highlighted I questioned this to her. She then told me to look closely. Scrolling down , I did saw the [protected]@$1.00 entry towards the bottom of the screen.
She then CONDESCENDINGLY ("corrected"me in her mind) like.." you should look before you say something ( she uttered something to that effect)".
I continued and tried with much effort to finish the rest of the transaction because she kept on interrupting . She said " Why are you Mad?" "I said I am not Mad".
I was actually in disbelief how she went on and on and verbally argued with me.
I finally told her, " Why are you Going Back and Forth with me? I am the customer ( like its Your Job to Assist ..) JUST Let it Go!. She continued Talking defensively .. as if this is something Personal and escalated our conversation verbally until a Security Officer
( from the store) hovered behind me.
After a few minutes, the Security personnel then stepped away sending there was not really anything Criminal going on.
I felt so embarrassed though. She was like gagging ("I am in the right") until after we stepped out and with Mirth all over her face. .
All I want to convey is that I am discouraged now in going to this Grocery Store. Its just disparaging what Sick Idea of " Boss Play"Customer Service this is...very needlessly antagonistic.
Desired outcome: -Said Attendant should Realize How Bad for Business (Antagonistic) is her Behavior.-Please Re-Assign Her in a Location with Less Traffic ( or Suspend her ).
Fraudulent Transaction
I was charged twice for a purchase made on 18/05/2022, 01:36 PM worth $166.04 at 10861 Weyburn Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90024 store. The store manager and the call center both say they cannot do anything about it. It is not small amount to just let go. I must be refunded the amount. Moreover, I had to make an unnecessary trip to Ralphs due to the misguidance of the call center. I believe I should be compensated for that as well.
"Service" from manager Felipe Gutierrez
I spent about $60 at the store at 9:37 PM on 04/28/2022. I rembered I forgot something and only wanted to spend the $60 so I asked to return a couple items so I could get the item I forgot. I apologized to everybody in line and the checkout clerk, who all said it was no big deal. It was after 9:00 Pm so it's not like there were tons of people trying to...

I purchased a Visa gift card for the amount $500 to pay for my car registration on the Feb 13 at the Burbank, CA on victory Blvd, only to find out that the gift card that they had sold me was a scam and they couldn't do anything to refund my money. I called the number on the back of the gift card only to be placed on hold for an hour and a half and nobody picked up. called corporate office in Compton , ca only to hear prompts and was never able to get a customer service representative on the phone. Now I'm behind on my car registration got a ticket for expired tags and I'm out $500 because Ralphs supermarket can not and will not refund my money.
And Luis the manger at ralphs was extremely rude and hung up on me, after he admitted over the phone that he know that some of the gift cards are compromised but stills sells the gift cards to their customers.
WTF! really!
Desired outcome: I would like my full $500 back
Your supposed to get a separate receipt for that gift card like as a confirmation. It most likely was the darn cashier that took your money. This Ralph's which I think your talking about is on Buena Vista and victory and I've seen some employees look at customers pin and card info when there checking out so that means the employees are also into debit card scam as other job. This Ralph's has miserable scum harassing employees

The Manager Jason at Ralph’s on Marguerite Pkwy
I went in this evening to purchase groceries and had two scratcher tickets that I had gotten at the same Ralph’s that I was purchasing groceries at and wanted to cash them at 7:30 PM. It was only $40 and I asked where I could cash them and the manager looked at his watch and then rolled his eyes and said sorry “I don’t have any cash right now” turned his back to me and walked away. I went back up to him and said can I go through a register or can I wait a little bit until you get cash and he simply said, nope sorry I don’t have any cash and I won’t all night. He was belittling and made me humiliated in front of nearby customers for no reason whatsoever. When I asked his name he rolled his eyes again, Never even looked at me kept doing what he was doing counting money ironically and pointed to his name. I had to leave my cart of groceries that I spent time getting and walk out of the store. I was blown away that he was a manager as I have no clue how somebody like that could get anywhere as an employee. The interaction left me feeling so upset and humiliated that I felt it important to report it because it’s not fair for anyone to have to feel like that especially when if you sell lotto you are obligated to cash the tickets during cash in hours. This was a grocery store and there was absolutely no reason he couldn’t cash a $40 ticket. Or try to be a little more helpful instead he made me feel [censored]ty and embarrassed me. It’s not right that people like that get away with it especially not when they’re in the hospitality industry.
Profiling
On October 4th 2021, I walked into the Westwood Ralphs store #759 on 10861 Le Conte, Los Angeles, CA, 90024, was followed by security, detained and asked what I was carrying in my bag and why I was "patrolling" in the store.
I made a brief entry into the store as I was looking for a specific item which I didn't find and proceeded to walk out. I never touched anything or lingered. The whole trip lasted just about 10 minutes so it was to my great surprise when security stopped me and asked me why I was "patrolling". I don't even know what "patrolling" means in the context of what I was doing. Aside from a small crowd stopping briefly to see what was going on, to my great embarrassment, I thought security was about to drag me off and rough me up.
Suddenly security released me probably because they realized they had nothing to pin on me. I was so upset with this encounter that I went back, found the manager and told him what had happened. When the manager told me security was doing its job profiling me, I thought I would have better luck presenting this problem to Kroger Headquarters because this was the second time I was being profiled in this Westwood Ralphs store.
It's been three months and despite reaching out to several departments in Kroger, no one has bothered to reach out to me.
Security Guard at 5680 Mission Center Rd. San Diego, CA 92108 Sexual Harrassment.
on 12/07/2021 at 9:32p.m. at the Ralph's Grocery Store on 5680 Mission Center Rd. in San Diego, CA 92108. This is the 4th time this Security Guard has Harassed me. First 2 times he accused me of Shoplifting, and after I had shown him my receipt did he say "Oh I'm Sorry" and " Your Good". Last night my Fiance was with me and as soon as he seen him leave my side he followed me to the other end of the store and began saying that I couldn't put my frozen grocerys that I was purchasing into my Cold/ Hot bag, after I showed him the Cold/Hot bag he said "Ok" and my fiance found me as he was telling me this and then he started raising his voice and told him that i wasn't allowed in the store. Long story short This particular Security Guard only does this to Women. I Know about 7 other females that he's done this too. Accusing them of Shop lifting items from the grocery store.
Desired outcome: Corporate management to call me [protected]
Self check out
I'm done. Change your self serve check out. Went to Ralph's in Moorpark, Ca.93021. went to your store about 10:55 PM tonight. Every time I go to self check again. On June 2nd 2021 at approximately 0610 hours, I went shopping at the Ralphs in Carmel Mountain Ranch in San Diego.
I only needed 4 items and I knew exactly where to find them. As I walked over to the milk section and retrieved a milk gallon from the shelf, an employee pushed my shopping cart into me, causing severe pain.
I am a strong, healthy individual, so it wasn't enough to knock me down but it was enough to bruise. (If this would have happened to an older customer, it would have definitely knocked them over and caused major injuries.)
There was a 20 lb bag of dry dog food in my cart, which I am assuming caused the cart to hit me harder than expected.
I saw the employee who pushed the cart into me and I cursed at him. I asked him "Hey a*hole, why did you shove my cart into me?" I also asked him why he didn't simply ask me to move my cart if I was in his way. He had not spoken or made his presence known at all to me. I was not at the milk section for more than a minute, so I knew I wasn't holding anyone up. Also, he waited until I had turned my back to his direction to shove the cart.
I was in immediate pain and extremely upset. It was too early in the morning to be assaulted by an employee. He did not apologize, his response was "I wasn't expecting it to roll so hard". I asked him to find his immediate manager because I wanted to make a formal complaint.
The employees name is Robert Wygal.
I got the run around for nearly an hour, repeated my story to 2 individuals, who ultimately told me they couldn't do anything about it, and I would have to wait for an actual manager to arrive.
A shopping trip that should have taken 5 minutes tops ended with an injury and an hours worth of headache and frustration.
Before I started my 13+ year service in Law Enforcement, I worked for a grocery store chain. Never in a million years would I ever think about pushing a shopping cart into a customer.
Not only is it opening up the employee and the chain to a lawsuit, but it is technically unlawful. Under California law, your employee committed Battery 242PC/Misdemeanor on a customer causing injury (bruising).
I shop at this Ralphs very regularly and have noticed the employees are not the epitome of profession or friendly, but it doesn't bother me because it's always a quick shop stop before a meal.
I am hoping something is done to address this employee and situation specifically.
On a positive note, I would like to commend Vanya and Daniel, the managers who assisted me after the incident. Vanya was calm, patient and reassuring. She was extremely helpful at defusing the situation. Daniel was also patient, attentive and informative. The management at the store is top service, it's unfortunate that the floor employees are not held up to higher standards.
I would like to be notified, via email, about the outcome of this investigation.
Thank you for your time.
A MANAGER REALLY ASSULTED ME .
I Was shopping at a local Ralph’s grocery store in my area last night. While I was attempting to check out of the grocery store an employee who also is the daytime manager Yanked my purse off of my shoulder in an effort to look inside for what she Claimed had stolen merchandise inside. I was under the impression that store workers were not allowed to touch you regardless if you were stealing or not? Can anyone share some insight on this matter what can be done?

I was checking out using the self registers, suddenly this lady appears trying to help me with my grocery. I didn't ask for help and the sole purpose is "self". She appears agitated and pisses off directed toward me. I have never been treated like this by any employees at Ralph's. I been in the area since 1990 and always enjoy shopping at this location. I'm reconsidering shopping at Ralph's period. Totally amazed at her behavior. Fernando Vandensteen @ [protected]
Rude, condescending assistant manager
Dear Sirs, I have been a customer at the Ralph's Market located on 910 Lincoln Blvd for over 25 years. I have spent about $300 a week for this time period which adds up to over $300, 000.00 for this time period. On 10/10/2020 your Assistant Manager John, he would not give me his last name, but can be best described as a short balding man with glasses and...

On September 7, 2020 I went to Ralph at 330 N. Atlantic Blvd, monterey park, CA 91754 the cashier name is Betty and Linda so rude. My uncle was 72 years he mistakes to go little close other customers because we saw that customers already do with a cashier and will be going. A rude cashier betty was very angry and started shouting at my uncle to step back. I told her "You have to be nice" because she shows her attitude so bad and offensive, then have other rude cashier her name is Linda came over and both shouting at me "go! go! go! I don't believe this is a cashier of Ralph? because the cashier in this position often being the face of the establishment a shop at. from what I see the job involves. not only checking customers out. I am sure this uncivil behavior will hurt companies profits as well as customer's feelings
Stealing money from Me
Ralphs' online system shows that on 4/06 I ordered, received, and was charged $68.33 for a delivery, none of which was ordered by me or delivered to me. Since then, I've also been charged another $20 for items not ordered or received. Despite numerous complaints for the past month, no one has even responded to me. Why do "mistakes" always work in Ralph's favor; and why do they lose motivation to provide "service" once they have one's money!
Not advising customers
In the menifee, ca store, is it true one of your employees possibly has the covid-19 and your store director is telling employees to keep it quite? Or they shouldn't talk about it. This better not be true... Ch. 7, 4, 5 and 2 would love to know a billion $ corporation only cares about profits and not its employees and customers as you want the public to...

Also Items that were refunded I was able to find easily on the store shelves soon after delivery occurred. in short, your company is losing money. Jessica G, a shopper was responsible- be it a mistake but this is second time shes refunded items I have found. NO RECITE in the bag. Was very livid I had to go next door and find my purchased items in a strangers driveway when clearly the address over my residence is clearly seen. Feel free to contact me at [protected].

At this time of year, it is advertised a 50% discount SEAFOOD sale! Specifically. the crabs are my concern. Yesterday the king crab was $24.99 per pound. Today I am told they are now on sale at $19.99 per pound supposedly 50% of the original price. How is that possible? You have never sold crabs at $39.99 per pound in this area and doubtfully anywhere else...
