Side rails and mattress
My bed broke and my mattress got worn down in less then a year. I called for replacement and was told I would get a mattress and a bed on Thursday and when Thursday came I was told I gotta wait till Monday. I was in a very bad car accident and I need my mattress and bed to be right. I called the corporate office and Jessica was rude and of no help.
Dining room chairs and extended warranty service
After some time we noticed the dining room chair legs wiggling and coming lose (repeatedly). Chairs are made like toilet seats, no support for the cushions. After occasional use the seat cushion began to sag and as a result created a dent in the middle. We had purchased the extended warranty, so the furniture repair Technician came. he tried to fix one chair with a last century's technic, adding pieces of wood under the cushion. Which made the chair much worse than it was. We did not let him destroy all other chairs. And Customer service told me that technician did not do his job because we did not let him. Very bad quality with even worse service.
Never gave back money ever.
I had called twice for a sofa chaise refund. I never got my money. Called the outlet twice, and never got my money. Corporate won't help. They did leave me on the phone for an hour before closing, and closed while I was still on hold with them. $600-700 is owed to me in refund. Might not shop for furniture here ever again. I'm owed money back for my failed delivery.
Liars
I went to buy a lousy $100 bookcase. I went to pay for it with my credit card, a credit card which has $0 liability for fraudulent claims. I did not bring any ID as my friend drove.
They refused to take my credit card because I did not bring ID and told me that this was for my protection. This is a lie. This is their policy and it has nothing to do with protecting me.
As for the lousy bookcase, I do not deal with liars.
Credit department - specifically johnny
Creditor Johnny was belligerent towards me, yelled at me and hung up the phone in my ear. Coming from a home with a history of domestic violence this was very traumatizing for me to have a man yell at me and bagger me the way he did. I was trying to settle my account. I guess not in the way that he wants me to, After passing me around to different people and putting me on hold for over 30 minutes, he came on the phone and started bulling me. I am appalled. I will never purchase anything from the Raymore Flannigan company or any of their constituents, I will tell my family to do the same. I do not encourage anyone to buy from this company. I feel so bad because I am the one who told my mom and sister about them. My mom bought a bed and she got a faulty one that went lopsided within 30 days of using it. They had to replace it of course because it was their fault. But gave her the biggest runaround. Just like they did to me in the credit department when I am trying to pay the bed off. When I asked to speak to a manager or someone from corporate the Johnny guy flipped his lid, and begin to yell at me and hang up in my ear. I have never been treated by someone who was supposed to be a professional, harassed and abused.
Leather chairs
I bought these supposed to be leather chairs 2 years ago and now they are peeling . I called customer service spoke to a representative then was directed to a Supervisor whom told me they will get back to me. That has been six months ago . No one has returned my call and now I have spent a lot of money for these chairs only to find out later they are all Inferiir quality. I am very disappointed and I think I should be compensated or given a replacement .
Mattresses
Bought $4500 mattress set in 2011 and have had 4 exchanges since, with no success. This store is a rip off. We never got the right mattress that we tried in store. We just want our money beck, but their customer service is a scam. Im 69 years old, a veteran and disabled and we used my wifes live saving to buy our simmons mattress set. Not once were we offered a refund, just exchanges. They don't care about the customers, just the bottom line of profits. We have to use pieces of foam to cover areas that sink and have not had a restful nights sllep in years-so buyer beware read the fine print-because this co is a ripoff.
Mattress issues
We purchased a very expensive mattress in March 2017. Within 3 months is felts like the sides were caving in. We rotated it and gave it a few more moths but it is getting worse. We both have back issues and this is only adding insult to injury. I called R&F and they sent a mattress technician. He took pictures and measurements but never had me lay on the mattress. The report that came back was that all measurements were within the MFG's standards and if it gets worse to call back. All we want in a different mattress. We filed a complaint with the BBB.
Platinum service plan
Purchased a couch approx 2 years ago with the Platinum Service Plan offered in store. Current have an issue with a tear in the lining under the seats. I called the store and was directed to the Platinum Service Line...back in May. Spoke to someone briefly who took some info down and never called back. I've since spoken to three different people including a store manager, all of whom took my info down...and NEVER called back. Such a joke a rip off. I'm happy with the couch and other furniture we've purchased from them over the past few years but the service plan is a scam and they should be ashamed of themselves. I'll be purchasing my furniture from a different store moving forward.
Payment of bill
When purchasing furniture I was told I couldn't pay by credit card and had to wait for a bill. Received bill but was told I can't pay this by credit card, only debit card. I get 5% back on my credit card and now will lose this .I have never heard of such a thing. This has got to be the worse company I have ever dealt with. Run, don't walk away from this store. I will be putting in a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
Couch and loveseat
I bought these items in February. Before I purchase I asked the salesman if I could return if I did not like. He said I'm sure we can work something out. After using the furniture for less than a month, I contacted them and said I wanted to return because of hardness of couch. Of course I was told there were no returns and I had initialed that. I said I was just initialing what he told me too. I tried to explain this to manager with no luck. I know what the salesman said and now I am struck with $1600 worth of furniture I can't use. I will never shop here again because of tactics of salespeople to get you buy.
Matress purchassed from raymoore and flannigan
I was in touch with the store who referred me to a area supervisor about my mattress of only a bit over a year later that I paid 2, 000 for it is sagging so badly that am unable to seep on it after the store sent a person with a metal object who told the store that it is sagging, but only a half inch short of replacement . I am livid to say the least if I do not get a honorable outcome I am intending on dragging the mattress into the store when they have active business hours and making sure the customers see how they ignore valid complaints My back is soo bad at this point needed to seek medical help
Flower arrangement purchased off floor arrived broken
After purchasing a sofa, love seat, and side chair, I returned to Raymour & Flanigan and purchased a lamp and a flower arrangement. The arrangement was sold to me off the floor and shrink wrapped for transporting home. When I removed the shrink wrap, there was a large crack in the base. I immediately called the store to ask for a replacement, but they could not or would not accommodate me. This item cost $180. I was referred to the manager and have left several messages and texts with no acknowledgement or response. This has soured my entire experience with Raymour & Flanigan. After spending over $2, 000 on furniture, I have not even received a courtesy response from the manager. My preference is a replacement, but I would be satisfied with a partial refund of the cost for the item.
Unethical behaviour
I was diagnosed with type 1 insulin dependent diabetes at age 6. I had a rare low blood sugar episode while employed at Raymour and Flanigan. Because of this incident they sent me to their warehouse to work and gave me a pay cut of $26.000 per year. They then fired me because they said "lack of skill." I had worked there for 7 yrs, if there was a lack of skill, why did it take 7 yrs? No, the real reason they fired me is because of my disability. The warehouse manager and the warehouse supervisor took the day off and weren't even there the day I was fired. Last year my out of pocket medical costs were over $6, 000! I can't afford my medication! Don't ever work here because they don't care about you!
Pricing and delivery
We bought a couch and two chairs of a living room set. The extra chair cost $100.00 more because the set had just the two pieces so the other chair was priced higher. Bull! Also, delivery is based on your spending in the store. The more you spend, the more it cost to have it delivered. Bull!. The only reason this purchase was made was because my wife wanted the furniture. I was ready to leave upon entrance when the sales rep told us about delivery prices. Buyer Beware!.
Fake leather
After only a year and a half the expensive furniture set, which was supposed to be leather, started to loose its fake leather coating. I now have to vacuum once a day to pick up the pieces of thin fake leather material all over the floor and of course the couch and chair cushions are completely worn off. Don't even think of buying from these crooks.
Buyer beware!, I spent close to $3, 000 for a "leather" couch a little over a year ago and it's peeling. Even with the platinum protection they just offered to spray paint the damaged areas. I highly recommend you to spend your money elsewhere, RAYMOUR AND FLANIGAN ARE CROOKS!
Very unhappy
I purchased furniture in the Staten Island store. Over 11000.000 worth. I had some issues with my table and chairs which they told me when I bought to watch with warm water and light dish soap. It ended up staining my chairs. They state since its customer damage they will switch out my set but i get no warranty. Not very good customer service. I bought so much furniture in bobs and Costco and they back there equipment up as let me purchase new warranty. That besides the point. I am a single mother and my husband passed away. I have two small children that i need warranty. I cant afford alot. I dont want another table from your company due to the isssue i am having. The same issue is going to happen again. I would like a credit. I need this table out of my house asap.
Waiting 2 months for a missing piece
I purchased a bunk bed for my daughter the last week of October for her birthday. They failed to tell me on the day that I purchased the bed that some items were out-of-stock. When they came to deliver and install the bed I noticed that the storage unit of the bed was not installed. I called the store and they first told me that I didn't order the storage unit which was a lie because it said right on my receipt that I did purchase the storage unit. I then called the customer service department and then they told me that on November 14th they will be in stock and I would be "the first person to be notified", they also told me they would call me to set up a day to have the piece installed. November 14th came and I didn't receive any calls or notifications. I waited a week, my husband called on November 21st and they told him we would be receiving it today December 16th and they would call me beforehand to set up a date to install the piece. Still no calls, so my husband called again today and now they are telling us they will be receiving the piece on December 21st. It will almost be TWO MONTHS and we still HAVE NOT received this missing piece.
I cannot even begin to explain how frustrating this experience has been, thousands of dollars spent and they still haven't sent us our missing piece. The whole point of us purchasing this bed is because of the storage unit that we desperately need. I honestly get better customer service at Bob's Discount Furniture! This is ridiculous! Get it together Raymour & Flanigan. This will be the last time I purchase anything from this place.
King size bed broken in 6 days - telephone number: [protected]
My son and I brought a King size bed on 11/30/16. It was delivered and when the movers came to assemble the bed they put it together wrong. I said to him that the bed doesn't look right and he responded, "i do this everyday, I know what I'm doing." In 2 days the bed broke. The left side holding the mattress came apart from the bed. Then 2 days after that the headboard broke apart from the base. Now he can't even sleep in the bed at all. The mattress is now on the floor.
I called the store which was in Fairfield NJ and spoke to Joe the manager and he says our policy is no refund and no return. He gave me a number to customer care and I called, now they said a technician will come on 12/31/16. Wow. I can't believe that I was a faithful customer for years and spent alot of money with your company and this is all you can do for me. I'm very upset.
Leather couches
Leather couch, 3 years old, it's losing its color, it's cracking, been calling for the past years to have them come see it, they give me the runaround, we even got the xtra warranty the platinum protection plan..paid a lot of money, , I would never buy anything from them anymore, what crap, called all kind of people, they don't call back, I should have went to bobs..I am just so unhappy and could of went anywhere to pick out a couch, but I thought they were good, I see there's a lot of complaints, this company sucks
We bought a Bryant Dual reclining console center sofa. If you so much as wipe it with a damp cloth, the color comes off. My grandson spilled a glass of milk on the sofa, I wiped it up right away and it took the color right out of the seat. I've had the sofa for 5 years now and would NEVER buy another from Raymour and Flannigan. Ours is out of warranty and we have no recourse but to live with it until we can afford another sofa.
