RealTruck - A Nightmare Experience: My Review
As an unhappy customer of RealTruck, I highly suggest that you find a different company to do business with. My experience with them was nothing short of a nightmare. I placed an order for Skyjacker M9526 shocks for my Dodge truck that I was raising by 3". I spoke with Michael in the sales department, who assured me that the shocks were in stock and that he would be sending me the correct ones. However, when the shocks arrived, they were not the ones I ordered. Michael had ordered M9592 instead.
To make matters worse, my mechanic had already started replacing the suspension with the lift kit when the error was discovered. RealTruck's customer service team was slow to respond, taking over six hours to inform me that they would be sending replacement shocks overnight. I was given the runaround by Danielle, who I spoke with for an hour, before being promised a call from supervisor Noel. However, when I did not receive that call, I had to make multiple calls, only to be hung up on twice by an unhelpful Amanda.
Noel finally informed me, near the end of the day, that they did not have the shocks in stock. This left me with the old shocks on my truck, maxed out, until I could find a replacement. It was frustrating to know that any of the three representatives I spoke with could have checked their inventory and informed me of the issue sooner. Instead, I was left with the wrong shocks for a day, wasting time and resources for a simple error.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend RealTruck as a reliable company to do business with. They have been a real pain in my [censored], and their unprofessionalism and lack of prompt action have caused me unnecessary stress and trouble. My experience with RealTruck has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I suggest you stay away from this company.
Buyer Beware: Disappointing Experience with RealTruck.com
RealTruck.com is a company that you might want to think twice about before ordering from. The experience of one customer has been particularly disappointing, and definitely not what anyone would expect from a reputable company. This customer ordered a set of 5 mounted wheels and tires for $3000, which was processed right away. However, the order took a total of three weeks to arrive, which wasn't outrageous. The wheels were delivered via freight and packed tightly in plastic on a crate. Unfortunately, the wheels were damaged upon arrival, with deep gouges and scraped powder coat.
Attempts to contact the company have been grossly unproductive, with multiple calls and emails being ignored or responded to unhelpfully. Despite promises of a return label and contact from the manufacturer, the customer has not received any further communication from the company. At this point, it seems unlikely that this customer will receive a refund or replacement from the company.
This review goes to show that even when ordering from reputable companies, it is important to always read reviews and research customer experiences before making a purchase. The experience of this customer is shocking and unacceptable, and it goes without saying that this kind of treatment of customers and lack of follow-through is completely unprofessional. It's important for companies to be accountable and attentive to their customers, and RealTruck.com has failed to meet basic expectations in this regard. Buyer beware.
RealTruck.com: Disappointing Customer Service Experience with 2020 Sprinter Grille Guard
When we were looking for a grille guard for our 2020 Sprinter, we spent a considerable amount of time researching and discussing options both on the phone and online. We eventually decided to order from Realtruck.com based on their recommendation of the Black Horse Rugged Grille Guard, part number BLK-RU-DOSP07-B. However, when the package arrived, it was evident that the smaller components had not been packed well, and they were scattered all over the box.
Although the RealTruck website clearly stated that the grille guard would fit our vehicle, the instructions provided with the product indicated that it fit many Sprinters, but not our specific year. When we initially contacted customer service to inquire about the fitment, we were told that it was the correct part, but we were skeptical.
After several attempts, we finally spoke with a technical representative named Jonathan, who confirmed that the grille guard was not compatible with our vehicle. We were then required to pack up the heavy steel parts, which we had to secure with filament tape as the original box had been damaged, and set them outside for pickup.
As it turned out, we were fortunate not to have proceeded with the installation, as it would have been a complete waste of time and money. It is clear that customer service representative is not provided with sufficient information on the products that they are selling. This experience highlighted that their representatives could benefit from better support to provide accurate information to the customer. The lack of reliable information identified through interactions with their customer service team suggests that the company needs to provide more comprehensive training and support. Ultimately, a better-informed team would likely lead to fewer unhappy customers and improved customer satisfaction.
RealTruck Failed to Deliver Properly Fitting Toolboxes - Disappointing Experience
In early January, I made a decision to purchase a tool box for the bed of my 2002 Toyota Tacoma pick up truck. Being someone who has restored and maintained their vehicle, I was particular about the quality of parts that I wanted to use. It was imperative that I invest in something that would not compromise the look and feel of my truck. After some research, I placed an order with RealTruck.
However, the process of receiving my order seemed to take longer than expected. To gain clarity on the situation, I called customer service a few times to follow up. On one particular call, I mentioned to the sales representative that I initially had an interest in a tool box that fit over the truck's wheel well, but was informed that it didn't fit my year of truck. The sales representative soon after, reassured me that there was a version that would work with my truck, and that a wheel well tool box would not interfere with my tunnel cover.
Feeling confident about their expertise, I inquired whether I could swap out the current box I ordered for the two wheel well swing tool boxes. The representative assured me that it was possible and I was thankful that I could get the items I wanted from the beginning.
When the tool boxes arrived a few weeks later, I began to follow the installation instructions. I drilled holes through my bed liner and truck body so that the boxes fit securely. However, when it came time to install the latches on each side, I found that they did not fit properly. It was disappointing to realize that the tool boxes did not fit my year of truck. I was frustrated to find out I now had holes on my bed liner and in my truck body.
Naturally, I called customer service to advise them of the situation. They wanted me to modify the tool boxes to fit, but I explained that doing so would obstruct my tunnel cover from closing. RealTruck ultimately told me to keep the tool boxes and refunded my money, knowing that they sold me the wrong part. However, I was left with damage to my truck, which they would not take responsibility and offered no resolution.
My experience with RealTruck was extremely disappointing. Customer service was unhelpful and uninformed, and the salesman's lack of knowledge caused me more trouble than it was worth. They did not show any care or concern for the damage they caused to my truck. I would not recommend RealTruck to anyone, and I strongly advise others to take caution before purchasing from them. In my honest opinion, they do not deserve even one star.
Poor Customer Service and Communication: My Experience with RealTruck
My experience with RealTruck was less than satisfactory. I placed an order over the phone on the 3rd of January and was charged immediately, which seemed strange to me. When I had not received any shipping information by January 11th, I contacted them and was told that the item would ship from the manufacturer on Monday. However, my item was still not shipped by February 4th, and I only received an email from them at that point saying that the ticket had been resolved.
Frustrated with this lack of communication, I decided to file a dispute with my credit card bank and sent Real Truck an email requesting cancellation of my order on January 20th. To my surprise, it took them another 15 days to finally respond to my request, and their email claiming that the issue had been resolved was insulting. The fact that they called their customer service employees "World Class Customer Loyalty Specialists" was especially laughable considering the poor service I received.
Overall, I am very dissatisfied with my experience with RealTruck. It is clear to me that they lack proper communication and customer service skills, and I don't recommend them to anyone who wants a hassle-free shopping experience. I will be sure to share my story on various review sites to warn other potential customers of their poor business practices.
RealTruck.com Customer Experience: Tiring, Annoying, and Disappointing!
On May 24th, 2021, I decided to check out RealTruck.com. The site had a fantastic deal on a Curt tow receiver for my 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe, priced at $175.00, which was an incredible price. The site also listed the delivery time as June 4th to June 9th, 2021. I was delighted with the deal and decided to reach out to their customer service team via chat to double-check that I would receive the product during the specified timeframe.
I was fortunate to get connected with Chris S, who assured me that RealTruck.com could deliver within the suggested timeframe. After confirming that the product would arrive on time, I placed the order through chat, using my VISA card to pay the $189.63 (including taxes).
Later that day, RealTruck.com sent me an email confirming the charges and the delivery date, which put my mind at ease. However, on June 3rd, I received an email saying that the delivery date had been pushed back to June 14th to June 21st.
Feeling uneasy, I went back to the website to initiate a chat with Courtney B, asking if they had a tow receiver hitch for the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe, and she said they didn't have it at that time. I also wanted to know when they would have it in stock. She responded by saying that Curthad it in stock and needed ten to fifteen days to ship out the product.
On June 13th, I received another email update stating that the delivery was delayed again, this time to July 5th to 9th, which was frustrating. The situation got even worse when I received another email update on July 3rd, indicating that the delivery was further delayed to August 13th to 18th.
I couldn't stand the continuous delays anymore, so I called RealTruck.com on August 5th, and spoke to a different Chris who listened to my complaint and dissatisfaction, and immediately emailed me a support ticket for a refund.
However, the refund process took longer than I anticipated. Leslie S contacted me on August 11th, stating that they needed to verify whether the product had shipped before they could process the refund request.
Although it was good news that they hadn't shipped the product, it was annoying to receive another email update on August 12th that my order was further delayed until November 1st to November 8th. Enough was enough! I immediately sent an email to Laurie S, demanding a full refund of my VISA card balance, and submitted a dispute with VISA if they failed to refund me within three business days.
Erin D emailed me on August 13th and said that my order had been successfully canceled, and a request for a refund had been submitted to accounting. While she thanked me for my patience, I had lost it and informed her that I would be submitting a VISA dispute in three days.
Finally, my VISA card was credited on August 20th.
Despite their great prices, I would advise people to exercise caution when shopping with RealTruck.com to avoid a tiring, annoying, and disappointing customer experience.
RealTruck.com Review: Poor Salesmanship, Lack of Communication, and Long Delivery Times
My experience with RealTruck (realtruck.com) has been far from satisfactory. I recently ordered wheels and tires from their website, and while shopping, I used the chat feature to seek guidance on sizing. Unfortunately, the employee who responded to my query was not very helpful. The answers I received were vague and lacked the necessary specificity needed for someone like myself who has no experience in selecting wheel and tire sizes. Despite reiterating that I needed detailed and direct answers, I still had to coax out any relevant information.
Feeling frustrated, I turned to the phone to contact RealTruck. I must say, the employee who answered my call was knowledgeable and able to answer my questions immediately. This was the only example of quality service I received from RealTruck. I promptly placed my order, and the salesperson informed me that I would receive an email from him shortly confirming the order. However, I didn't receive any confirmation, and it took emailing the salesperson myself to get some feedback.
Fast-forward three weeks, and my order finally arrived, but unfortunately, not in the best shape. One wheel was gouged deeply across its face in three different places. The gouges had gone through the black finish and into the metal. I called RealTruck to report the damage and was told to send the damaged wheel back. To replace the damaged part, a claim would have to be filed and then settled, and I had no idea how long that process would take. It is worth noting that it seems the damage was done before shipping, with the wheel being the second one in a three wheel stack on a pallet.
As of today, I am still without what I ordered; I find myself wondering why I am putting in so much effort to spend thousands of dollars with RealTruck. Their poor salesmanship, lack of communication, and long delivery times have been frustrating. To top it off, their customer service has been poor, which doesn't inspire any confidence in their brand. I received an email acknowledging my phone call about the damage, but it seems they have a high volume of emails because the response thanked me for my patience, which makes me feel like mere collateral damage to RealTruck's bottom line.
Overall, I am disappointed with my experience with RealTruck. I don't understand why the customer has to wait for the company to reach a claim settlement with a vendor before receiving goods that have already been paid for. It seems like RealTruck's priority is to serve themselves and only then offer a semblance of customer service. In this day and age, where competitors are only a web search away on a mobile device, I cannot recommend RealTruck.com nor will I shop with them again.
Mixed Customer Experiences with RealTruck - A Review of Their E-Commerce Platform and Customer Service
RealTruck is an e-commerce platform that sells a wide range of truck accessories and parts. However, it seems that some of their customers are not satisfied with the service they received. One customer, David, ordered a winch but received a wireless controller instead. When he tried to cancel the order before it was shipped, RealTruck didn't comply and still sent him the wrong item. RealTruck then made him wait for his refund until the item was returned, all due to the fact that they had advertised the item incorrectly. David had a terrible post-sales experience and believes that RealTruck has a habit of charging people for items and then making it difficult for them to return them. Another customer, Peter, ordered running boards for his 2018 Suburban with brackets that come with it. However, the brackets didn't fit the Suburban, causing him to spend two and a half weeks of his time trying to get the right brackets from RealTruck. He found it misleading for RealTruck to advertise the brackets on their website when they didn't fit. PW also had a negative customer service experience with RealTruck. He bought running boards for his Dad's truck, and the end caps didn't fit right, causing the rubber to come apart only three months after purchasing them. He tried emailing RealTruck five or six times and even tried calling, but he never received any customer service help. He was disappointed that he didn't receive the kind of customer service he had expected, and wished he had read reviews beforehand. Matt S. also shared his negative experience with RealTruck, citing their poor return policy and unsatisfactory customer service. According to Matt S., RealTruck's "30-day satisfaction guarantee" is misleading, as it doesn't apply once the cover is installed. Additionally, their "Customer Service Loyalty Specialists" were neither friendly nor helpful. Matt S. advises potential customers to avoid RealTruck and buy directly from the manufacturer or anyone else but them. Joe G. is also unhappy with Auto Customs LLC, which seems to be the parent company of RealTruck. He claims Auto Customs has the worst customer service he's ever experienced. Like other customers, he was charged for an order and waited for four weeks without any shipping or delivery date. After contacting Meghan from customer service, he was disappointed with the service he received and even hung up on by a supervisor named Alice. Although he finally got in touch with Courtney, he was disappointed by his overall experience with Auto Customs. Another customer, Otto C., had a disappointing experience when he received an Encore Tonno Truck Cover from RealTruck that was damaged due to terrible packaging. Unfortunately, as RealTruck is a reseller, he had to deal with the manufacturer directly to resolve the issue. In contrast, Ron S. had a positive experience. He found the ordering process to be pleasant, and Kerry in Corporate Sales was very helpful. Edward V. faced a delay in shipping his tonneau cover, deal with AutoCustoms was impressed by how efficiently they resolved the issue once contacted directly. However, the rating he gave them reflects the delay in his delivery. Finally, Tim H. did not know he was ordering from a reseller and was unhappy with the delays caused by the company drop-shipping the product. He felt they overpromised and underdelivered, providing little customer support or solutions aside from apologizing for the delay.
