A Personal Take on WeatherTech Automotive Accessories
As someone who appreciates quality and durability in automotive accessories, I must say that my experience with WeatherTech has been a mix of highs and lows. The products, such as the floor mats and cargo liners, are undeniably sturdy and well-made, providing excellent protection for my vehicle's interior. However, there have been some issues with customer service and product performance that cannot be overlooked. While the products themselves are top-notch, the edges of the mats tend to curl up over time, and the fit may not always be as precise as advertised. Despite these drawbacks, I still find value in WeatherTech's offerings, especially for those who prioritize protection and longevity for their vehicles. It's worth considering if you're willing to overlook minor imperfections for the sake of quality.
Great service and great mats!
I purchase Weathertech floor mats for my 2021 Honda Pilot. The cargo mat did not seem to fit right, but when I contacted the company they explained how to get it to fit correctly. Recently I lost one of the fastener rings on the driver's side mat. When I contacted them, they sent out several top and bottom replacement rings. I have several grandchildren so I need something that can be easily cleaned. These mats work great!
Customer service
I have a 2017 Ram 1500 owed it since new I put the window shades on it a few days after getting the truck. I recently noticed one of them was missing so I contacted customer service and they responded within minutes I was wondering if I would be able to buy just one instead they warranted it and sent it to me for free including shipping. Now it's been a long time since I have dealt with a company that really stands behind their products. Remember there are other you can buy but you get what you pay for. Thx Wearhertech pleasure doing business with you. Darrell
Very satisfied!
I have bought window deflectors, floor mats, and alloy bed cover for my 2018 Ford F-150. All products are top quality and fits perfectly and easy to install. I broke a window deflector while installing and offered to buy a new one because of my mistake. Contacted weathertech and they sent me new deflectors no charge. That's how you do business. I will do business with this company for anything that they provide that I need. I have passed this to friends and they are considering purchasing from weathertech. Way to go weathertech. You cannot please everyone but you have my support.
Great Products/Friendly Service
I've ordered a few different items from WeatherTech and they are well made, durable products. I recently ordered a Christmas gift that FedEx cannot locate and I was told by FedEx that they could not guarantee delivery by Christmas. FedEx told me to call Weather Tech directly because there is nothing FedEx can do. The customer service person I spoke with at Weather Tech, his name was Harry, was Fantastic! All I was looking for was a little empathy and to be able to give this gift to it's recipient on Christmas day. Harry was kind, empathetic and patient and did everything in his power to help right the situation. Highly recommend.
2013 Subaru Impreza rain guards
The rain guards look great and the instructions was fairly easy. I would recommend if yours comes with the little clips with tape. You should put some super glue on the clips and then put the tape on. This will make your installing easier and weathertech doesn't clarify that the little black clips go in on the outside of the window track not in between the windows and seal. I have ran this up and down the interstate at 85 mph with the windows down and ran my car throw an automated car wash without a problem of them coming or flying off! They will stay on your car if installed correctly and give your car some style while giving you some fresh air going down the freeway in the pouring down rain.
A very good experence over all
This is my second set of floor mats. I got a set for my 2005 Nissan Titan in 2006. They have been through hell and back and still look good. Once I had to put them under my tires to help get unstuck. They cleaned up great. My carpet still looks like bran new. Only complaint is they were kinda like plastic and my feet would slide around some. I just got a set for the front of my 2015 Kia. They fit perfectly. They look amazing and best of all they don't have that plastic feel like my old ones. They feel a bit more soft to the touch like rubber. They really have a quality feel to them. My feet feel planted. The matts are very secure and don't move around. Very happy with them. I just ordered a set for the back to match. The best floor matts I know of to protect my car from my 2 boys. Thanks Weather Tech you rock. I wish there was a place on there web site to write a comment I would love to thank them.
Fantastic costumer service
I spent a decent amount of money getting car mats for two cars for Father's Day, I was worried because i had only been charged for one set and I received an email that they had been shipped. I decided to call because I was worried something went wrong with the second set. I was connected with one of their agents named Yadira and she was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. She was extremely nice and went out of her way to explain they don't charge you until they send the product out and for my other car they just needed a little more time (which it's only been like 3 days). She went out of her way to also get my address to send me my own personal catalog because I'm super interested in this company now. It's so nice and refreshing to speak to someone so kind during such a hard time with deliveries and everything else that is hard on us all right now. She even gave me her email if I get worried again and want to check in before Father's Day. I will definitely be ordering more products from them because they clearly are such a nice and hard working company. My girl Yadira needs a raise!
I have purchased multiple sets of WeatherTech mats and trunk liners in the past
I have purchased multiple sets of WeatherTech mats and trunk liners in the past. This time, the shipping took longer than usual, and unfortunately, the mounting hardware for the mats was missing from the package. The receipt stated that it was included and shipped, but there was nothing in the box. It has already been a week since I placed the order, and while mistakes happen, I decided to email them and request a replacement. I received a response stating that they have made arrangements to send the missing parts to me. I'm not exactly sure what they meant by "retention," but I suppose it's okay. The next day, I received an email with a tracking number. It seems that they didn't consider it important enough to use a well-known shipping company, but as long as it arrives safely, it should be fine. The package is being sent via first class mail with a tracking number, so it should take a few days to reach me, considering the distance between states. However, the following week came and there was still no package. I still couldn't use the mats without the mounting hardware. When I checked the tracking status, it showed that the delivery was still pending from the shipper. I thought maybe they hadn't sent it to the shipping company yet. I understand that it might take a day or so for it to appear in their system, but I have a friend who works at the shipping company, and he checked for me. They hadn't received it yet. I decided to call and inquire about the situation. After waiting for a while, they claimed that it had been mailed and that the shipping company doesn't update their system until the package is delivered. That was the first lie. They also complained about how overwhelmed the postal system is currently. I found it strange that they would use a system they knew was experiencing delays if they had mis-shipped something. If it had really been in the postal system for a week, it would have at least shown up as received. They told me to wait another day or two to see if it arrives. Does that mean they are going to send it now? I suggested that we go through the process of returning the product and getting a replacement. Suddenly, they claimed they would overnight one to me, but it was already 12 PM, so it would be another day. I noticed that their customer service hours end at 12 PM, while other companies have customer service available until 4 PM. How convenient for them. If they had been honest from the beginning, it would have been much better. It's quite disappointing that I had to request a return merchandise authorization (RMA) to get them to send out the new parts. They should have valued their customers and taken responsibility for their mistakes right away. They charged my credit card immediately, that's for sure. I will probably still go through with the RMA process, as I don't feel comfortable working with them anymore.
Purchased item advertised as it will cover footwells, but it did not. Called company and was informed that the measurements of my vehicle do not allow for this to be possible. Images on website are deceptive because it shows them as actually covering footwells for newer more expensive model and for my vehicle model and year and no footwell covering for the less expensive model.
Their backseat cover for a 2020 *** does NOT stay put thus defeating the purpose of having it in the first place. I emailed the company and have not heard a single solitary thing from them. For the price point at which they have this set at, this seat cover ought to fit like a glove, I may as well have thrown a blanket over my back seat and tucked it into the crevice where the seats fold down, I may have had better luck with coverage and protection. My husband and I have been loyal customers of them for years and have purchased 12 full sets of front, back, and trunk liners in total over the years and have had zero issues with those, I can NOT say the same for the seat cover.
I ordered front and rear window deflectors for my 2020 SUV Limited. The front deflectors installed beautifully, not one problem. Not the same for the rear. The clips that weathertech sent did not seem to fit the way weathertech claims they should. Thinking I was doing something wrong, I watched the videos again, and still the clips didn't fit, the gasket that they are supposed to slide behind and in front of are too wide for the narrow clips provided. Just to be sure it wasn't me, I tried installing those same clips on another model 2020 SUV that I own, and lo and behold they installed within seconds with no problem. I called weathertech and after being number 129 in line and holding for 45 minutes, I explained the problem with the clips to the customer service representative, who was very nice. I was however, told that they did not have any complaints and that I should watch the video for further help. I explained the easy install on another vehicle and that I just thought that I had the wrong clips for my SUV. She told me that those are the only clips available for my vehicle, but that she would send me four more in case I got a defective set. I received the exact same clips that came with the deflectors. I took my vehicle to the dealer for them to look at it. They said they often have to install these for people because these clips don't always just slide in on all vehicles like weathertech claims they should. I watched them remove the window trim, squeeze the gasket that is very wide to install the clips, and put the deflectors on before replacing the trim. Not sure how secure they are going to be in the long run since the clips are really too small for the wide gasket. Luckily I have a good working relationship with my dealer and they didn't charge me for the service, but it certainly was not simple to install like weathertech wanted to assure me. Would have worked fine for my other SUV, but not for the SUV Limited. Don't get me wrong, they look good, the problem is weathertech's refusal to acknowledge that there is an issue with their product and unless they have never sold this kit to anyone else with a 2020 SUV Limited, I don't believe for one second that they haven't gotten a complaint. However, the customer service representative might not know about any complaints because that is the other problem. Weathertech refuses to post anything other than glowing reviews on their website so that robs the consumer of the ability to make informed decisions about their purchases. That in itself means that I will be hard pressed to want to purchase anything from weathertech again. Seems like kind of a slimy way for such a large company to do business.
WeatherTech's Poor Customer Service and Refusal to Reimburse Shipping Costs
So, I got my order from WeatherTech and it was all wrong! They admitted it was their mistake and offered to send me the correct ones. But when I asked if they would refund the shipping costs I paid, they said no way! I mean, come on, they can't even offer free shipping for their expensive floor mats that cost between $250-450! And they never have any sales, not even for military!
Anyway, they said they would ship the new ones for free, but I still had to drive 45 minutes to a FedEx to return the wrong ones. I talked to two different people, and the first lady was really rude. They both said no to any price adjustments or reimbursement for shipping. They acted like they were doing me a favor by sending the correct ones!
I'm really hoping my son will be okay with me ordering from Husky instead. They have better reviews and better customer service. I just want to tell WeatherTech to come pick up the wrong mats and keep the right ones! When I asked to speak to a manager, they said I could try calling back tomorrow, but they're really busy this time of year. Like, duh, every company and family is busy at Christmas time! But other companies still offer good customer service and take ownership of their mistakes.
It's amazing to me that WeatherTech would rather have an unhappy customer spreading bad word of mouth than just reimburse the $20 shipping cost. It really shows how little they care about their customers.
Protect Your Investment with WeatherTech Floor Liners: A Review
I bought my Acura RDX back in 2010 and immediately knew I needed some quality floor liners to protect my investment. That's when I stumbled upon WeatherTech's website and decided to give their products a try. I purchased the front, rear, and cargo liners and was blown away by their durability and quality. Fast forward to 2021, and I traded in my RDX with the same mats still inside. Sure, the driver's side was a bit worn, but after 10 years of use, what do you expect?
My next vehicle was a 2020 Honda CRV, and I knew I needed to protect it just as well as my previous car. So, I purchased the WeatherTech HP mats, and they did not disappoint. I leased the CRV and turned it in this year, and the mats were still in pristine condition. I wish I had taken them out and sold them myself! I did keep the cargo liner, though, which fits perfectly inside my 2023 Tucson (go figure).
When I was looking to purchase new mats for my Tucson, I thought I wanted to try Smartliners based on their ratings and recommendations. However, when they arrived, I was disappointed. They felt like hard plastic and looked cheap. They fit nicely, but nowhere near the quality of WeatherTech. I ended up returning them at a cost of $25. Then, I decided to order WeatherTech mats from Hyundai Shop, which turned out to be a BIG mistake. They were poorly packaged, and no one answered the phone when I tried to call. The initial price was also higher, and they didn't carry the WeatherTech HP mats that I wanted. So, I ended up sending them back at a cost of $25.
In the end, I realized that I should have just gone with what I knew and ordered the WeatherTech mats from the start. Yes, they may be a bit more expensive, but the quality and durability are worth it. Customer service was also courteous and helpful when I needed to cancel an order, and I received my refund promptly. I have since re-ordered the WeatherTech mats, and I expect nothing less than the same great quality and fit as my previous purchases.
Overall, I highly recommend WeatherTech to anyone looking for quality floor liners and cargo liners. They may be a bit pricier than other options, but the peace of mind and protection they provide are worth every penny. Plus, their customer service is top-notch, which is always a plus in my book.
Weathertech Products: Not Worth the Hype or the Money
So, I gotta be honest with y'all - I made a big mistake when I bought some stuff from Weathertech for my 2004 Ford Explorer. I mean, I really wanted to take care of my ride and keep it lookin' fresh after all these years, so I went all out and got their seat covers, floor mats, and cargo mat. I saw all those fancy commercials on TV and thought it was gonna be the best thing ever. But boy, was I wrong!
First of all, they say their stuff is "laser measured" for a perfect fit, but that's a bunch of baloney. The seat covers don't even fit right, even though I gave 'em all the info they asked for about my make and model. And the floor mats? They start rollin' up like a taco after just a few weeks! They even tell you to turn 'em inside out to try and fix 'em, but that's just a band-aid solution. And don't even get me started on the cargo mat - it's just more of the same cheap, flimsy material.
I mean, if they used some thicker material that could actually hold its shape, maybe it'd be worth the money. But I shelled out around $600 for all this stuff, and it's just not worth it. And it's a real shame that they try to use patriotism to sell their products - I'm a disabled American veteran, and that kind of thing means a lot to me. But Weathertech just ain't livin' up to their "Made in America" hype.
I bought all this stuff at TNT Exhaust Center in Reidsville, NC. Joel and his wife run the place, and I'm a regular customer there. I don't have the receipt anymore, but I'm sure they'll remember me. And I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed in Weathertech. Don't waste your money on their stuff - it's just not worth it.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with WeatherTech: Premium Product, Poor Support
I recently made a purchase from WeatherTech, spending over $400 on three items. However, a few weeks later, I encountered an issue with my seat being unable to move forward. I reached out to their customer service through their website, hoping for a quick resolution. However, the response I received was quite shocking. The email suggested that I try putting heavy items on the floor mat and leaving them in the sun. They also advised me to ensure that the original car floor mats were not under the WeatherTech ones. The email ended with a statement that if I needed anything in the future, I could contact them. It felt like they were closing the case without really addressing my issue.
After waiting for a week, I decided to contact them by phone. The lady who answered was very nice and helpful. She asked me to send some photos of the issue, which I did. However, she then asked for more photos. Finally, they suggested that I cut the top of the floor liner to give it clearance from the seat. I wasn't thrilled with this solution and sent an email back asking for further advice. Unfortunately, I never heard back from them.
I decided to look at their warranty information on their website and was quite surprised by what I found. Without quoting it directly, it basically said that they wanted people to buy their products, but they would not cover frivolous claims. This was right there in their warranty information. Based on my experience, it seems like they think that all claims are frivolous. It's a shame that they don't seem to care about their customers' concerns.
I don't mind paying a premium price for a premium product, but I expect good customer service as well. Unfortunately, my experience with WeatherTech's customer service was not very good. However, I will say that the mats themselves are really nice and fit pretty well.
Great Product, Terrible Customer Service: My Experience with WeatherTech
I've been buying new vehicles for years now, and every time I do, I make sure to purchase WeatherTech floor liners. They are hands down the best product on the market when it comes to protecting the floor of your vehicle. However, I have to say that their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in my 36 years on this planet.
Their website states that you have 30 minutes to make changes to any order, or your order is final. I mean, come on, who does that? They sell overpriced floormats, not heaven! And to make matters worse, they offer zero loyalty programs or discounts for repeat customers. I've been a loyal customer for years, and they don't even offer me a discount or anything. It's ridiculous.
And don't even get me started on their free shipping policy. They fought me tooth and nail on it, even though I was ordering multiple items in one order. They talk to you like they're doing you a favor by letting you buy their product. I'm a paying customer, for crying out loud! Who talks to people like that?
Now, I know some of you may think I'm a "Karen", but I have actually worked in customer service before, and I know how it should be done. The way they act and their company policies are far from acceptable. And it's not just one representative having a bad day, it's literally every single one of them. Try calling them up with a simple problem and see how you're treated. It's ridiculous.
For $300 a set, I wouldn't mind paying the fee if they at least acted grateful for my patronage. But they don't. So, I'm going to start looking for another company to do business with. They can't be the only one making decent floor liners. Heck, I'll even start cutting them myself if I have to.
In conclusion, WeatherTech makes a great product, but their customer service needs some serious work. I would advise anyone looking to buy their products to look elsewhere. These people need to be taught a lesson.
Inaccurate Pricing and Unfriendly Service: My Experience with WeatherTech
I recently had an experience with WeatherTech that left me feeling disappointed. I had purchased floor mats for my 2016 Accord from them a while back and decided to go back to buy some Rain Guards. The Rain Guards themselves were excellent, but the installation process left a lot to be desired.
I had called in a month prior to getting the Rain Guards and was quoted a price of $109.99 for a 4 piece set for my 2016 sedan. I was also told that installation would cost an additional $20. I called again on Saturday to confirm the price and was told the same thing. My wife was even with me when I made the call and heard the same information.
When I arrived at the store on Sunday, I was told that they couldn't install the Rain Guards. However, after some back and forth, the girl at the counter agreed to do it as a one-time courtesy. She wasn't very friendly about it though.
When I asked about the price and any discounts, she told me that there was a 10% discount for insurance from a certain company, but there was no discount for installation. She also told me that installation would cost $30, not the $20 that I had been quoted.
I tried to explain to her that I had been given a different price, but she wouldn't budge. I even spoke to another gentleman who was more friendly, but he couldn't change the price either.
In the end, I was disappointed that I had to pay $10 more than I had been quoted after confirming the price three times. I did give a suggestion to the company to carry steering wheel covers, but they didn't seem interested.
Overall, I would say that WeatherTech's service is excellent, but they need to be more careful about giving out accurate information. It's frustrating to be told one thing and then have a different experience when you arrive.
Disappointing Experience with Weathertech.com: Incorrect Orders and Slow Refunds
I was looking for some mats for my truck and decided to check out Weathertech.com. I called their customer service line to get some advice on which mats would be best for my vehicle. The representative was helpful and guided me through the process. However, when the mats arrived, they were the wrong ones. I returned them and was sent a second shipment, but once again, they were the wrong mats. Frustrated, I decided to pay for a second order so that I could have all the mats I needed for my truck.
When I returned the incorrect shipment, I also included a bump step and seat cover that I didn't need. However, it's been over 10 days and my order is still in their return bin. I'm still waiting for a refund, and to make matters worse, they don't seem to have the seat cover that I returned. Apparently, the customer service representative who ordered the mats incorrectly a second time forgot to note that I was returning the bump step and seat cover from the order.
I spoke to the customer service manager, Ross, who tried to make things right. He even mentioned that he's from the same city as me, as if that would somehow make things better. He assured me that their customer service people are meticulous about their notes from customers, but I'm not so sure. After all, they messed up my order twice already.
What's even more frustrating is that Weathertech.com charges shipping on orders over $100. And to add insult to injury, the return labels they issue seem to be sent at the slowest speed possible. It's almost as if they don't want to pay for shipping.
Overall, I'm really disappointed with my experience with Weathertech.com. It's a shame that a company of this size can't seem to get their act together. I paid top dollar for their products, but the service I received was terrible. If you're thinking of doing business with them, I suggest you do your research first. There are probably other companies out there that offer custom floor mats and better service.
Weathertech Deflectors: A Safety Concern and Disappointing Customer Service Experience
I recently purchased a certified pre-owned 2018 Ford Explorer from a dealership, which came with a weathertech sunroof wind deflector and four side window deflectors. However, my experience with these products has been less than satisfactory. Last week, while driving at a relatively low speed of 25-30 mph, the sunroof window deflector suddenly flew off without any warning and landed on my head. I was lucky that I wasn't going any faster, and that there were no other cars around, as this could have caused a serious accident.
But that's not all. Just a few days ago, I was driving on the garden state parking at around 10 pm, going approximately 65 mph, when I heard a loud bang on the passenger side of my truck. I pulled over as soon as it was safe, thinking that I had hit something or someone had hit me, only to find that the passenger rear window deflector had broken off my window. The deflector had caused scratches on my rear passenger door and rear quarter panel, which I hope can be buffed out. Once again, I was lucky that I didn't lose control of the vehicle after being startled by the sound of the deflector hitting my truck.
As someone who has never owned anything weathertech related before, I am now seriously questioning the safety of their products. For the amount of money that this company charges for their products, they should be putting more effort into ensuring that their products are safe and compliant with safety standards. If they don't, someone could end up seriously injured or even dead.
I reached out to customer service to express my concerns, but was disappointed with their response. They simply played the blame game, stating that the products were not installed correctly or were not meant for my vehicle. This seems like a cop-out to me, and I am not satisfied with their response. I also wrote two reviews on their website, one for the sunroof and one for the window deflectors, but to my surprise, they were never posted. It seems that the only reviews that are posted on their website are five-star reviews, which makes me question the authenticity of their reviews.
Overall, my experience with weathertech has been disappointing and concerning. I would not recommend their products to anyone, and I hope that they take the necessary steps to ensure that their products are safe and compliant with safety standards.
Poor Customer Service and Missing Parts: My Disappointing Experience with WeatherTech Cup Phone and Extender
I recently purchased a cup phone with an extender from the WeatherTech website as a Christmas present. When I placed my order, they made a big deal about the color knobs I wanted to adjust the angle of the phone holder. However, when we went to install it on Christmas day, we discovered that there were only two knobs in the box when there should have been three. One knob adjusts the width of the phone holder, one attaches the extender to the phone holder, and the third attaches the extender to the cup part. Without the third knob, we had no way to attach the extender to the cup part, which was necessary for our console style.
We tried calling the company, but the recording informed us that there were 26 callers in front of us. When we tried again, there were 18 callers ahead of us. Frustrated, I went to their website to see if there were any other options. I found an email address and sent them a message, but received no response after four days. I also posted on their Facebook wall and sent a direct message, but still received no response.
While I appreciate that WeatherTech makes their products in the USA, their customer service and attention to detail are severely lacking. It feels like they run their business like a sweatshop in China, with a tendency to leave out parts and provide horrible customer service. I weighed my options and decided to order a set of two knobs from their website so that we could use the product. However, this will be my last WeatherTech purchase ever.
UPDATE: My partner was eventually able to get through to someone at WeatherTech and explain what was missing. They had no idea, but eventually agreed to send the missing part. However, when the envelopes arrived, they only contained plastic knobs that required a bolt to connect the extender to the cup. The knob was useless without the bolt, which was a separate part number. We had to wait on hold for 26 callers again just to ask for the bolt that went with the knob. It was like pulling teeth to get this product functioning properly.
Overall, I would strongly advise against purchasing any WeatherTech products. Whoever packs the items is clueless about what should be included, and the customer service has no idea about their own products. Even if they were selling a single piece of rubber, they would likely find a way to screw it up. It's a complete waste of time and money.
Disappointing Fit: WeatherTech Mats for BMW m850i xdrive Coupe Review
I got these WeatherTech floor mats for my 2006 Chevy Silverado truck and 2013 Lexus RX350, and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with them. They're made of rubber, which is great for keeping dirt and grime off my carpets. So when I got my new BMW m850i xdrive coupe, I figured I'd get another set of WeatherTech mats. But when they arrived, I was surprised to find that they were made of plastic instead of rubber. I installed them anyway, but the fit was pretty bad. The sides of the mats were supposed to come up about 2 inches, but they were all crooked and didn't fit the sides of the car floor. The rear of the front mats didn't lay flat either, which caused the seat to get jammed when I tried to move it forward. I called WeatherTech and they asked for pictures of the poor fit. After they got the pictures, they sent me two new front mats. But those were just as bad as the first set. The sides were still crooked and the back of the mats still didn't lay flat. WeatherTech told me to turn the mats inside out to stretch them out, but that didn't work either. I ended up just keeping them, even though they didn't fit right. I didn't realize at the time that dirt would get trapped between the mat and the carpet because of the poor fit. And the fasteners they sent to attach the mats to the car floor didn't fit either. I had to buy some sticky back felt furniture pads to make them stay in place. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with these mats. They cost a lot of money and they don't fit right. If I could return them, I would.
WeatherTech Direct Complaints 33
Dangerous - Buyer Beware! First and Worst Experience with Weathertech
On February 28,2022, I purchased a certified pre-owned 2018 Ford Explorer from a dealership. It came with a weathertech sunroof wind deflector and four side window deflectors. Last week, I driving at a relatively low rate of speed (25-30 mph) and the sunroof window deflector flew off without warning and landed on my head. Thank God I wasn't going any faster, wasn't on a crowded street, and didn't lose control of my truck. If that's not bad enough, I was driving on the garden state parking Friday night around 10pm going approximately 65 mph when there was suddenly a loud bang on the passenger side of my truck. I pulled over once it was safe scared that I was either hit or ran over something only to find the passenger rear window deflector broke off my window. The window defector did a nice job on my rear passenger door and rear quarter panel. I am hoping the scratches will be able to be buffed out. Once again, I am grateful I didn't lose control of the vehicle after getting startled by the sound of it hitting my truck. This is the first time I have ever owned anything weathertech related but I truly question the safety of their products. For the money thisr company charges for their products, they should consider putting some of that profit into safety compliance or else someone is going to wind up dead. Sent Customer Service an email for them to play the blame game. I emailed Weathertech yesterday and the basic response "Whenever a product comes off like that, it is usually not installed correctly or are not meant for that vehicle." which personally I think it's a crock of "[censored]". The representative then stated "If you did want to keep them on, I would advise going to the dealership you bought the vehicle from and having them verify if they are installed correctly." Interestingly enough I wrote two reviews on their website (one for the sunroof and the other for the window) and what a surprise the reviews were never posted to their page. There's only five star reviews.
Nonexistent customer service. Disappointed and won't buy any of their products again
I bought a cup phone with the extender from their website. It was a (requested) Christmas present. When you order, they make a huge deal of what color knobs you want (to adjust the angle of the extender/phone holder part. You cannot use this without both - the extender attaches with it. Christmas day comes and goes and we go to install this and see only TWO knobs was in the box when there should have been THREE. (One knob is for adjusting the width of the piece that holds your phone, one knob attaches the extender to the phone holder, and the third knob attaches the extender to the cup part). We have no way to attach the extender to the cup part, and with our style console the extender is a must. So we call the company - a recording informs us there are TWENTY SIX callers in front of us. Next call, 18 callers. I get frustrated and go to their website to see what other options they have. There was an email, I wrote them, 4 days later: no response. I also posted on their Facebook wall and direct Facebook message. No Response. They brag they make stuff in the USA which is great and all, but sounds like they run their business like some sweatshop in China - at least the tendency to leave out parts and horrible customer service makes it seems that way. I weighed my time and out of pocket costs returning or ordering ala carte knobs on their site and just ordered a set of 2 knobs so we can use the stupid thing. But this is my LAST WEATHERTECH purchase ever. They suck.
UPDATE: Edit: My partner actually got hold of someone and tried to explain what was left out. They had no clue, but finally it seemed they were sending what was left out. I kept my order in since I had no faith in the person he talked to. Well both envelopes arrived a day or so apart. They sent just plastic knobs that need a BOLT to go along with them to connect the extender to the Cup. The knob is completely useless without the bolt. It would seem they would send the BOLT with the KNOB as they are both needed to connect the extender to the cup part, but no. The bolt is a separate part number. So after waiting on hold through 26 callers we had to ask for the bolt that goes with the knob. It is like pulling teeth to get this stupid product functioning. I repeat AVOID ANY WEATHERTECH PRODUCTS AT ALL COSTS. Whoever packs the items is clueless as to the contents of what should be packed and the customer service has no clue about their products at all. Even if a product was a single piece of rubber they'd likely find a way to screw that up too. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
Terrible Fit on BMW M850i Xdrive 2 door coupe
I have WeatherTech floor mats in a 2006 Chevy Silverado truck and a 2013 Lexus RX350 and am very please with both of these sets of mats and they are both made with a rubber material. I was so pleased that I ordered a set including the trunk mat for my new BMW m850i xdrive coupe. When I received them I was surprised to see they were made out of plastic and not rubber. Upon installing them the trunk mat fit perfectly as did the rear seat mats. The front mats however didn't fit well at all. The sides of the mats are made to come up on the sides a little over 2". These sides were not only not near straight but they didn't fit the sides of the car floor and in some places over 2 1/2" away from the sides of the floor and door sill side floor. They also didn't lay flat at the rear of both front mats and were high in the middle causing the seat bottom to catch the rear of the mats bending them up jamming the seat from moving forward when you move the seat forward to have people get into the back seat or get something out of the back seat. So I called WeatherTech and they wanted pictures of the poor fit. After WeatherTech received the pictures they sent me two new front floor mats. This new set fit equally bad so I called WeatherTech again telling them these were no better. The sides of this new set of mats was 3" away from the sides of the floor in some places 1" in other places and touching in some places and still not laying flat in the back of the mat causing the seat to hit it when moved forward crushing the mat and jamming the seat. I was told to turn the mats inside out to stretch the sides out and flatten the rear of the mat. I said won't they crack and was told they wouldn't. So I did that! It did make the side get closer to the floor sides however the back of the mats were the same. So thought OK I'll just push down on the rear of the mats with my hand when I need to move the seats forward. The sides were still not straight however and cosmetically looking awful but I thought the protection of the carpet they offered was worth it. So I left them installed. The next morning the plastic moved back as they were and were inches away from the floor sides. So I gave up and just kept them which I shouldn't have done! I never thought of all of the dirt that drops down in-between the car floor sides and the ill fitting sides of the floor mat. It's like a funnel directing dirt down on the carpet and getting in-between the mat and the carpet. The other issue with these mats is the fasteners they send with these mats to attach the mats to the car floor mat anchors don't fit. I called them again and they sent me two different other types of mat anchors to try and those didn't work either. The factory mats have like a velcro attachment to the floor to keep them from sliding forward. So I went to Lowe's and bought some sticky back felt furniture pads. I stuck them to the bottom of the WeatherTech mats that made the mats stick to the velcro like floor attachments. That seemed to work OK other than the sticky back glue gets gummy after awhile. WeatherTech should be ashamed to sell such a inferior product for this $125,000 car. I would return them for a refund if I could. As I said the trunk mat is fine but I would return the floor mats if I could but I've had them too long so they will just need to go into the garbage!

Disappointing Experience with WeatherTech's Anti-Fog Face Shield & Customer Service
I recently bought a couple of face shields from WeatherTech in mid-November to use when I had to go out in public during the pandemic. I was really excited about the anti-fog lens feature that WeatherTech advertised, so I decided to give it a try. However, when I finally had to use it this morning, I was really disappointed. I was inside the building for less than 30 seconds when I had to take it off because it fogged up so badly. I was really upset that I paid extra for this feature and it didn't work at all. So, I decided to return the product.
I called the customer service number that was provided, but I was shocked to find out that I was #109 in the queue. I mean, seriously? I understand that they might be busy, but if they can't handle the volume of calls, they shouldn't be selling the product. It's just common sense. I would have expected this kind of service from an online-only store that sells the same product for a fraction of the price, but not from WeatherTech. I've bought a lot of things from them in the past, like car mats, phone holders, cleaning products, and mud flaps, but I don't think I'll be buying anything from them again.
Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience with WeatherTech. The face shield didn't work as advertised, and the customer service was really slow. I hope they can improve their products and services in the future, but for now, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
Weathertech Undersink Mat Review: Great Product, But Beware of Return Shipping Costs
I gotta say, I've always been a fan of Weathertech's auto floor mats. They're tough, durable, and they keep my car looking clean. So when I saw they had an undersink mat for the kitchen, I was all over it. Unfortunately, it didn't fit our space. No biggie, I thought. I'll just return it. Easy peasy, right? Well, not exactly.
Turns out, the customer is responsible for return shipping. And let me tell you, it was a doozy. The original shipping was $12 via FedEx for a $40 product. But to return it, I'd have to shell out $36 for UPS or $29 for FedEx. That's almost as much as the product itself! Needless to say, I decided to keep it and find a use for it.
Don't get me wrong, the return process was simple enough. I got a RA number with no problem. But the cost of shipping was a real shocker. I guess I've been spoiled by Prime and their free shipping and free return shipping. It's just that this caught me off guard. It would be nice if Weathertech could provide a label using their shipping discounts with those companies. I mean, it cost $12 to ship it to me, but it would cost me $30 plus to return it. That's a big difference!
So my advice to you is this: make sure you're absolutely sure about what you're buying from Weathertech. Because returning it, while easy, will cost you. And that's not something you want to deal with.
Weathertech Rear Bench Seat Protector Review: Disappointing Fit and Quality
Bought a rear bench seat protector from Weathertech for our 2020 Hyundai Elantra and it ain't up to their usual standards, ya know? The product is like 2 inches too small all around. The back part doesn't even reach the seat, so it's like a dang hammock and the bench part doesn't even come to the sides or front, so the parts that are supposed to drop over the edges don't even work. The "grip" thing on the bottom might work if your seat is completely flat, but it don't work at all on our car 'cause the bench has a little curve to it and the top material is so stiff it's like a piece of cardboard, especially when it's cold out. We got it 'cause we got a dog who rides in the back and she's always sliding around when she tries to move. When she jumps in the car, the cover shifts and doesn't even protect the seat 'cause it bunches up and most of the material gets pushed away from the edge of the seat. The seat part definitely needs a strap on the corners to hold it in place. We bought 2 sets of floor liners from Weathertech before and they were perfect. We were hoping for the same quality and fit with this seat protector, but we're seriously disappointed.
Terrible Customer Service Experience with Weathertech: A Review of Wind Deflectors for Nissan Rogue Sport
I recently bought wind deflectors (also known as rain guards) for my 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport from Weathertech. Unfortunately, when I received them, they didn't fit my Rogue's windows. I was disappointed and frustrated, but I decided to call their customer service to return the product.
The lady I spoke with was extremely rude and condescending. I couldn't believe how she treated me, especially since her job is to deal with people. She told me that I could order and pay for the correct guards, and when they received my return, my account would be credited. I was shocked! Why should I pay again for their mistake? It didn't make any sense to me.
I had heard good things about Weathertech's products before, which is why I decided to buy from them in the first place. But this experience left me extremely disappointed. As a single mother with only a part-time job, this was a big purchase for me. I don't have a lot of money, and I can't afford to waste it on products that don't fit or on rude customer service.
If the lady on the phone had been nicer and more understanding, I might have considered buying the correct set from them. But her attitude was so aggressive and rude that I decided to never purchase another product from Weathertech again. It's a shame because I had high hopes for their products, but their customer service ruined it for me.
To make matters worse, I'm now paying for return shipping and a restocking fee. It's not fair that I have to pay for their mistake. They're the ones who sent me the wrong thing, so why should I be the one to pay for it? It's ridiculous!
Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with Weathertech. Their products might be good, but their customer service is terrible. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, and I'll be sure to tell my friends and family about my bad experience.
Disappointing Experience with WeatherTech Products for 2015 VW Passat: Rain Deflectors and Floor Liners Useless and Frustrating
I recently purchased WeatherTech products for my new car, hoping to keep it protected and looking nice. However, I was disappointed with my experience and would not recommend their products to anyone. If you own a 2015 VW Passat like myself, be aware that the rain deflectors may not fit properly, preventing you from cracking your windows without rain getting inside. This issue applies to both the front and back windows, making the rain deflectors useless.
I also purchased the front and back floor liners, as I was a bonus mom to three young kids at the time. Unfortunately, the back floor mats do not stay in place, as there is nothing holding or gripping them. This makes them useless and frustrating to deal with. Additionally, I had to pay for return shipping, which was a joke considering the products were useless and could not be used as intended.
I returned everything except for the front floor liners and only received a refund of about $100, even though it should have been closer to $200 due to the cost of return shipping. Overall, my experience with WeatherTech was a complete waste of money and I will never purchase their products again.
Weather Tech Pet Barrier: Known Defects and Frustrating Customer Service
I bought the Weather Tech Pet Barrier to keep my big dogs from jumping into the front seat while I'm driving. Unfortunately, the thumbnuts that hold the horizontal bars to the frame didn't do their job. With my dogs' weight against them, they slipped down and my dogs could get through. I talked to not one, but two customer service reps who both acknowledged that this was a known defect. The company didn't have a solution yet, so I ended up on a list to get a replacement part when they figure out what to do. They even sent me pictures of two DIY fixes.
I wrote to the CEO two weeks ago expressing my concern that the company would knowingly sell a defective product that could cause loss of life if it failed. But I haven't heard back from them yet.
The second rep told me, "unfortunately, the only other thing we can recommend is making sure the screw is firmly in the teardrop area of the black bar, and using zip ties can help as well." He also said, "We are still waiting for a new part that is going to help with the issue, but we haven't gotten information as to when it will be available... if you want to keep the barrier, I ca add you to the list and send the new part when it is available."
It's frustrating because Weather Tech claims on their website that "our customers are our number one priority" and "we will do whatever we can to make sure our customers are happy for a lifetime." But it doesn't seem like they're living up to those promises.
I hope they come up with a solution soon because I really need a pet barrier that works. Until then, I'll have to make do with the DIY fixes they sent me.
Disappointing Customer Service from WeatherTech: A Review
I gotta say, I'm pretty darn disappointed with the service I got from WeatherTech. I mean, I thought buying from a good ol' American company would mean I'd get some good ol' American customer service, but boy was I wrong. I forked over more dough for a WeatherTech product than I would have for something similar on Amazon, thinking it'd be worth it for the quality and service. But nope, turns out there was some kind of issue with the product and it just didn't fit my car right.
So I reached out to the folks at WeatherTech, hoping they'd have some solutions for me. I even suggested maybe using some double-sided foam tape to mount the bug deflector, but I wanted to make sure that wouldn't mess up my car or void the warranty. But did I get any response? Nope, not a peep. I waited and waited, but nothing.
So I figured I'd have to take things up a notch and file a dispute with Paypal. I spent hours putting together a PDF of all my attempts to contact WeatherTech, trying to be a good customer and work things out. But what did I get in response? Just some canned message about how I shouldn't have filed a dispute in the first place. Like, seriously? I put in all this effort to try and work with them, and they just brush me off like that?
Honestly, I feel like WeatherTech doesn't really care about their customers. They don't value my business, and I'm definitely gonna make sure everyone knows about my experience. It's just a shame that I had to go through all this trouble for a product that didn't even work right in the first place.
Fast Delivery, Poor Customer Service: My Experience with Weather Tech Liners
I put in an order on Thursday afternoon and got an email saying it went through. My buddy told me about another spot to get liners, so I checked it out. I found husky liners for 35% less, so I bought a full set from them. I hit up weather tech's email right away and cancelled my order on the SAME day. I even called, but they were closed less than an hour before I tried. Friday morning I called again to cancel the order. They said they'd call it back from Fed Ex. I got the order on Saturday, the next day. Not bad if I wanted it, but I don't. I sent emails explaining that I don't want the merchandise and that I cancelled it. They don't email back, even though their site says you can email or call. I've been on the phone for 20 minutes and got disconnected. Now I'm back on the phone. After 15 minutes, someone finally took my call. They said there are computer issues. They'll send me an RMA via email. Hopefully, there won't be any issues after that. I wouldn't suggest this place, BUT if you want fast delivery on orders, they won't let you down. They just don't seem to be able to handle other things. Plus, they're pricey. I can't speak to the quality of weather tech merchandise because I decided to get comparable liners at a better price, with a better warranty and no shipping charge. However, based on my research, weather tech is top-notch quality, just like the ones I'm getting. You gotta think about the warranty, customer service, price...
Poor Quality and Customer Service: My Experience with WeatherTech Sunshade
The WeatherTech sunshade that I purchased for my vehicle's windshield was not up to par. I had a difficult time dealing with their customer service, which was not very helpful, and they did not want to honor their warranty.
When I tried to install the sunshade, I noticed that it did not fit properly at the top of my windshield. This made it difficult to keep it in place as intended. I spent a lot of time trying to adjust it, but it was clear that it was not cut correctly. The issue was more pronounced on the driver's side of the windshield, where the sunshade droops down from the top.
I tried to contact WeatherTech via email, but I did not receive a response. I had to put in some effort to finally get someone on the phone. When I did, I was told that their products are made perfectly and that the issue must be with my vehicle manufacturer's assembly.
I sent multiple photos of the defective sunshade to WeatherTech, but they continued to blame the vehicle manufacturer. They asked me to ship the sunshade back to them at my own expense, and they would look into the situation further. If I wanted a refund, I would have to ship the item back to them first, again at my expense.
The cost of shipping the sunshade back to WeatherTech was almost as much as buying a new one. It was clear that they were not willing to stand behind their product or their warranty.
In the future, I will be taking my business elsewhere for any vehicle accessories. WeatherTech's customer service was not helpful, and their warranty was not worth the paper it was printed on.
Weathertech Mats Review: Total Waste of Money and Time
I recently bought some mats for my Tundra from weathertech.com. Unfortunately, I received the wrong mats and had to return them. It took over a month to get the right mats shipped to me. When I finally received the "correct" mats, I only received the rear mats and they were delivered to the wrong address a mile down the road. Luckily, a neighbor found me and gave me the rear mats. I called weathertech to get the front mats, which are being shipped now, still over a month later.
When I opened the rear floor mat box and put them in the truck, I noticed that they hang over the edge about 2 inches too far on both sides. I was disappointed because they were supposed to be "LASER CUT," but they looked like just plastic mats cut to fit any truck, just like the cheap old plastic mats used to be in Walmart. They are thin and useless. I'll end up having to put regular cheap mats back in the truck to protect the carpet. Weathertech mats are a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.
I purchased them because they say they are an American product and wanted to support USA products, but this is NOT what I signed up for. Just a total useless piece of plastic that will not protect anything, does not fit, will not last, and shipped to the wrong address. Plus, I only received half of my order but paid full price. So, you order at your own risk. I have told you the truth on here, and when you end up with this same mess, the rest of us on here half had, it's your own fault. You can get a much better product for this price. I paid $240 for front and rear mats that are worth $20 and NOT LASER cut. Good luck.
Suction cup phone holder
I received. $75 gift card for Christmas. I used it to purchase the suction cup phone holder. I have tried a multitude of ways to keep it attached. It stayed once for a whole 3 days but usually it falls off within a couple of hours. I cleaned the windshield with alcohol and the cleaning wipe provided. Provided plenty of pressure to the suction cup prior to flipping the lock lever. I’ve tried applying a small amount of Vaseline as well. Ive tried different things since January and I’m done. I give up.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund
Cargo mat for a 2018 mazda cx-5
My son had given me a birthday gift card for $200 for WeatherTech.
I order a complete set for front and rear mats. I had to spend an additional $109.25 for a cargo mat. This cargo mat never fit correctly. I called customer service and she basically said that was how it was suppose to fit.
I had to pay $69.95 for one from Cqlights that fits perfectly. Not only does it fit better but it is as good a quality. I was surprised how much cheaper it was.
The new one doesn't have the big lip and it doesn't slip and slide.
Desired outcome: Refund $129.25
Floor mats
My kids bought me Weathertech floor mats for my Audi. I have winter factory mats for my BMW and Land To we that are far superior.
The Weathertech mats appear to be made of plastic and are impossible to clean completely.
The factory mats I have for the other cars are made of rubber, don't stain and clean easily.
I've contacted Weathertech : time and I always receive the same nebulous non answer. They never Explore how to make the product better.
Overpriced and not of high quality.
These were a gift, I would never purchase. Better quality out there.
Floor mats
Ordered mats after seeing many commercials about "exact fit" and laser measuring. Got the mats - drivers side isn't even close to a fit. Called and got a rep - I'd love to post this idiot's name (and I have it) - and he tells me he'll "run it up to management" and asks for pics. I contact the guy TWO more times - and NOTHING. Then I get a rep today when I call - and get BULLBLEEP about "best fit" and "we do not advertise "EXACT fit" and more defensive stuff. THEN she tell me I have to pay for the shipping TO ME (but they will pay for the return). I just cannot believe they way they advertise that they treat people thins way.
Desired outcome: Give me ALL my money back, you deceptive creeps!
This answered my exact question. If these are supposed to fit and they don't (which a lot of reviews say one or more don't fit their vehicle) then do I have to pay for return shipping? This is ridiculous for a company who only sells online! Welp. My decision is made. I won't be ordering from them. They get terrible reviews for their customer service too.
Safety issue on Floor mats on 2016 gmc Serra 2500 Denali diesel
We were on a 2 lane road trying to pass a motor home and the floor mat held the accelerator from going down far enough for the truck to shift down almost causing a head on collision.
I think the mat needs a cut out so accelerator can go down enough to engage shift down.
I had to put the truck in manual mode so I could shift manually for passing!
My email is [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: Safety issue
I ordered the digital fit floormats for my car and the shipping process they have has been a nightmare
I ordered the digital fit floormats for my car and the shipping process they have has been a nightmare.
Every time I check the tracking info it either has been wrong or not updated. They have lied to me every step of the way and yesterday Fedx ground suggested I change the delivery to a local pick up spot at a Dollar General Store to receive it earlier in the day. It never arrived and now Fedx tells me it has been miss shipped 80 miles north of here. HERE IS THE KICKER, WEATHERTECH CUSTOMER SERVICE REP IMPLIED THAT IT WAS MY FAULT FOR CHANGING THE DELIVERY DESTINATION.. SOMEONE NEEDS TO EXPLAIN TO THEM WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS!
