filthy room
Hi. My daughter, 17, and I went to Atlanta to attend a concert. I had previously stayed at a red roof inn near Atlanta. When I reserved the room about 2 weeks prior to our arrival. It was a smoking room. I stayed in room 112. We arrived and had enough time to get dressed and ready. We left the hotel about an hour after checking in. The "free" Wifi did not work. The furniture in the roonwas broken and badly damaged. The walls had plaster that was loose. We wouldn't use the shower because of the soap ### on the walls. AND at around 2:30 am.there was someone knocking on my door. Weslept on top of the bedspread fully clothed. This is the WORST experience I have ever had. I am looking forward to speaking with guest relations on Tuesday morning. If they don't refund my money i will dispute the charge with my bank. This hotel SHOULD NOT represent red roof inn.
smoking
The problem was that we did not I repeat did not smoke in the no smoking room, as we knew that if we did smoke in the room we would not get our deposit back that it why we did not smoke in the no smoking room. I am very upset because we followed the rules which was no smoking in the room, we smoked outside. The door may have been a little opened while smoking outside so that may have caused it to smell like smoke. I am very upset too as why I do not understand why I have not received my deposit back, I am going to be contacting my lawyer. Thank you
-falicia.
A very unsatisfied customer.
I stayed at a Red Roof Inn in Council Bluffs Iowa no where was it stated my room was a non-smoking room no where was it stated what would happen if I smoke in a non-smoking room nowhere on my invoice sheet it's a room 203 was I was not informed when I checked in about a non-smoking room it was the last room they had they kept my hundred dollar deposit it was cash, for all you other people who had the same problem which I believe there are lots of you we should file a class action lawsuit against Red Roof Inn such [censor] I believe they are scamming people and it's not right I will never stay there again and I will get my money back one way or another
Roaches in the room. Marijuana smoking inside rooms that filled the halls with the worst smell. Not organized, rooms not ready on time. Was not pleased at all. Fire alarms went off and lasted for over 30min at 2:00 a.m. and everyone seemed to be clueless as to what to do in an emergency situation.
Air conditioning never worked right. Had someone come in and "fix" it and it worked for an hour. Reservation was also incorrect even after I called to confirm after I booked it online.
We stayed at the Red Roof Inn for a week and they debited my card twice and because of this I will be sleeping on the street tonight.
The little college dropout manager has to learn some respect for us. Rooms are small. Do yourself a favor and Stay somewhere else.
The manager and his assistant have to learn never to insult highly educated guests. At the pathetic wage they earn, they should learn some respect before they are both fired.
Please don't associate people's attitudes with the level of money or education they have. It is their attitude towards other people that matter and you sound like you have a bad one. You also sound like you don't have much money or education if you stay at a Red Roof Inn.
missing headphones
I stayed at Red Roof Inn on 19th of March. I have stayed at the Red roof inn well over 100 times so when I had to spend the day in Kalamazoo It was natural for me to go to the nearest Red Roof Inn. I grab my beats by Dre head phones to watch Netflix on my computer around 9pm. my Computer could not pick up the internet so, I set my Beats By Dre down on the bed and I went to sleep because I had an early day. After I left that morning to take the MColes test I packed up my stuff and I drove back home to southgate Mi. the next day I notice that I didn't pack my headphones so I called Red Roof K-Zoo sunday morning and told them what happened. the female employee stated they did have them in the lost and found and she will get a manger to call me in the morning. (no one never called) I called back Monday afternoon I was informed again that a manger will call me (no one never called) I called back Tuesday and by this time they told that the lady who clean the room will be in after 2pm and they will call me and let me know what happened to the headphones. I told the guy that I paid over $200 for these head phones and they was on the bed. I told him again they was on the bed he said ok, took my number again and NEVER CALLED BACK!
over priced
We had to wait to check in after a 5 hour drive .People were waiting in line to check in for over 2 hours .elevator didn't work on one side had to walk aways to get to our room.Carpet was dirty, no towels.we booked for 2 nights, bathrooms were dirty, this was a run down hotel. We went as a family booking 3 rooms .our daughter and son each booked separately .our daughter had to wait till 6:30 to check in . Had to hunt down housekeeping to get towels, coffee.the problem was too many guest not enough employees. We paid $574.98 for Rooms that was not worth it.we expected better.we made our reservations on jan. 2014 so they knew we were coming .thank you RONALD Batie our email is [protected]@aol.com we hope you can do something about this
I have found Red Roof inn to be less than OK any time I have stayed... Last summer I stayed at one in the Albany NY area and I decided that I will never use them again after that. The worst overall hotel chain in the USA.
bed bugs
My family stayed at this hotel Sunday 7-20-14 and checked out at 5:56 am on Monday [protected]. We stayed in room 310. We went for the pool because we live right down the street from this hotel. All night my 10 yr old was complaining of itching, it was so bad that he woke up at 5 am to take a bath. I noticed my 7 month old baby scratching at this time as well...

Upon arriving to the room, the first thing I noticed is that there was no fridge or microwave. I work for a company that receives a discount for CLC. I called the front desk and asked to switch to a room with a fridge and I would pay the difference in cash, which was 8-10$. The young lady, and I use the term lady loosely said let me see what I can do. She...

Do not use this hotel, they charge your account information after you stay there and leave, they will not say anything to you and if you call the manager to tell her what happened, once you find out, she does not care, argues with you and refuses to do anything to make you a satisfied customer, just wants more credit information to charge you again.

Where do I even begin? This past June (2013) my daughter and I flew to Philly to check into some apts for her as she will be going to school there. This was our 1st time to the east coast, and I had no clue on where to stay, etc. I searched extensively on the web for hotels that were close to the airport (and yes, I know the airport area isn't gonna get me...

we stay at this place for three nights we asked for a smoking room was put in a nonsmoking room ok so we moved to other room the room was not cleaned at all one night and half way done the others we got to our room and there was fingernail clipping on floor no soap or clean towels had to go down and get them it really made our trip not so great never knowing how it would be when we got back to our room tired and one night the first night the tub would not drain had to wait hour and half for that to get fixed it really suck
unfair room charge
I booked a room for a week about one month prior to my trip. As I was traveling on business, I asked for a corporate rate. I was offered $30.00 per night. The estimated bill for the week was $301.00 and some change including taxes. The night before I was to arrive, I called the hotel - and actually spoke with the national reservation department for Red Roof and gave my credit card number. I also guaranteed the room for late arrival. When I arrived at the hotel, I was denied the reservation by the manager. I was told that I needed a CDL (I'm guessing a Corporate Discount Lodging card). Since I had not previously stayed at a Red roof Inn I had no idea what it was! "Too bad, " I was told. I insisted that I was not told about this card when I made the reservation, but if I had known it existed I would have tried to get one. Then I was told that if I wanted to stay at the hotel I could be given a special rate of $79.00 plus taxes per night. I said "No, thank you, " and abruptly left. Someone needs to educate their reservation operators and the immature, condescending manager at this location. I will never attempt to stay at a Red Roof Inn again.
smoking marijuana
How about I go to this red roof inn near Lackland Air Force Base and this female named Angela is litterally smoking marijuana outside the front lobby and I go inside and I am waiting over 20 minutes for service and she comes in walking slow as if she didnt want to be there and I told her that if she didnt like her job then quit she told me f*** you and just leave so im never going back again

I reserved 2 nights at the the Red Roof Inn through expedia and was charged on [protected].78 then i get to the hotel and they didnt have my reservation and the lady at the front desk named Michelle said she just needed my card for verification reason and she charged me 138.88 on 11-19-12 and i called the assistant manager Leana quite a few times and she assured me she credited me back my money i get on my bank account and find out she charged me again on 11-23-12 another 138.88 and she said that theres nothing they can do they credited back my account. so i called my bank and they said nothing has been credited back to my account so a total of 414.54 has been charged to my bank account for a 2 night stay at the Red Roof Inn in cookeville tn.
poor management
I am a former employee of the red roof inn in greensboro, nc, I felt very uncomfortable working there because the manager was always telling me my eyes were nice and would be openly talking about porn and other non appropriate subjects. The area is just ghetto and only prostitutes and drug dealers seem to be the guests. The other employees irnore them and even excepted guests with expired and fake ids.
I quit because I was the only white girl working there and I felt outcasted.

double/over charged
Booked a room on priceline Friday evening. Confirmed with credit card. Got to hotel and they said they had to swipe my card. Now they have charged me twice for the same room. I called Saturday after I checked out and they told me they would fix it. Monday morning still not fixed and I called again. Now it is Tuesday and I called again but it is still not fixed. I am not impressed to say the least.

horrible
On numerous occasions I have witnessed the manager tell his staff to wear make up or to do things that technically aren't their job. I am a friend of someone who lives in the hotel and I was made aware by them that a man had sadly passed away at the hotel and was in the room for 1 to 2 weeks they were unsure but what they were sure of was that the manager took it upon himself to clean the room up and enlisted the help of two non- English speaking workers. Isn't there a problem with that? Don't you have to be certified to clean up a death or at least have the proper tools/clothing/ protective gear to clean it up. I am very disturbed by this. I am also disturbed by the fact that he was called guests liars basically in front of a lobby full of people when they tell him there is a problem with their room. I understand people come to places and maybe come with the intent to get a room for free but he has even disrespected me by trying not to honor my VP code. The way he talks to people is as if he is on drugs because one minute he is super nice and the next he's telling you why what you are saying is not true. I stay at this hotel a lot and have seen things that a guest should not see. I used to come to this location when it was corporately owned and I loved it. Andrew was great, friendly and always around and willing to step up for his staff. The character they have now has gotten rid of every single employee that actually cared about and needed their job and the employees he still has left are great but they get the short end of the stick because management is awful. I was at the hotel a few weeks ago and they had no toilet paper. I have traveled for work for years and never have I ever went to a hotel that didn't have toilet paper. The front desk made sure I got some right away as one of them went to the store and got some but I was told by housekeeping there was no tissue. The front desk wasn't even aware which makes it not their fault but I am sure they were blamed. The employees at this location have an unfair advantage because no matter what a great job they do they ill never get a pat on the back because of management. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE MANAGER AND OWNERSHIP
false charges
I stay at the Red Roof in Burlingame, CA a great deal. I am a flight attendant and for about the past 6 months, I have faithfully spent $500 per month there... some months more. I stay there so much that I purchase blocks of 10 nights. Recently I noticed that I was charged for a night when I was not there, the 29th of September, 2012. When I spoke to the...

Please be very, very careful with this hotel! There is a lot of positive feedback on TripAdvisor on this hotel but we were here long enough to see the “real deal” and “behind the scenes” stuff to make anyone run the other direction. We checked into this hotel in mid-June 2012. Our plans were to stay long term until we were able to secure adequate housing...

I caution anyone looking to "save money" and stay at the Red Roof Inn.
I recently stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Harrisburg, PA. I figured I would save 20.00 by staying there with my family for the night while going to Hershey.
Unfortunately, my son realized that he didn't have his IPAD the next evening. I immediately contacted the RED ROOF INN and was told that the room was "partially stripped" but
YOUR SECOND CLASS employees (who I was informed by the local police authorities had several other instances of misconduct in the same month) clearly stole my son’s IPAD. I was informed by your manager and general manager that the room was “partially stripped but surprisingly, my son's IPAD was no where to be found.
I spoke with both the Manager and General Manager at that location who admitted that someone had clearly entered the room, began cleaning it and must have seem the IPAD and left. They assurred me that because of this, the RED ROOF INN would reimburse me for my stolen property.
I followed protocol, filing a local police report. The detective assigned informed me that this particular location had a history of issues and that the RED ROOF INN should do the "right thing and reimburse me".
Well, low and behold, I got a denial letter claiming they were not "legally liable"
Not only does the RED ROOF INN put their customer's safety in danger, they also do not care about their customer's personal property and experience.
PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, DO NOT STAY AT ANY RED ROOF INN!
In an industry where customer service and reputation is paramount, the Red Roof Inn puts their customer's personal belongings and safety on the bottom of their priorities.

bed bugs, roaches, and sticky floors
I booked a stay at the red roof inn located at 4800 powerline road, ft. Lauderdale through orbitz.com. On the website it stated that the rooms were all newly rennovated! So, I fly in and go check in to my room, 318. I booked a smoking room because I am a smoker. Now, i've been to many, many smoking rooms before, but nothing like this!! Good lord, I went to...
